Chapter 41 : Standing Strong in the Face of Challenges
“Come out, Rose”.
She turned. “Lily” She muttered.
“Come out quickly”.
Rose came out of the car. “Did he bring you here to scold you?”
“No but why are you here?”
“Rain called me here”
Ryan came out of the car.
“Why are you here?” Ryan asked.
“I wasn’t talking to you bro”.
“Wait” Lily asked when she noticed a ring on Ryan’s finger.
“Who promised to be with you?,I feel so much pity for the girl already,you leech” She smirked.
“Leech?” He muttered.
“Yeah”.
“Lily, you should go look for rain, I’m sure he’s waiting for you” She placed her hand on lily shoulder.
“Wait, Why do you also have a ring?, It’s a matching ring” She muttered. Her eyes widened in shock.
“What the hell is going on between you two?”
“Actually,Ryan and I are-
“We’re couples” Ryan smiled as he wrapped his arm around Rose’s waist.
Lily pushed him away. “Didn’t you always call him a leech?, A brat and so on”
Rose looked away in embarrassment.
Ryan turned to look at her.”Leech?, You?” He muttered. Rose smiled awkwardly as she looked at him.
“I’m sure he compelled you to be his girlfriend” She said ready to do a flying kick.
Rain quickly held her.
“Calm down, Lily” He said.
“Let go of me, Rain” She said throwing her legs in the air.
“Calm down or someone might recognize us”
“I don’t care!” She said still throwing her legs in the air.
“Sorry” He muttered as he took her away.
RYAN’S PLACE*
Rose came out of the bathroom all dressed up.
“Are you heading somewhere?”
“Cafe” She said opening his wardrobe to pick her bag.
Ryan hugged her from behind.
“Can’t you stay back?” He muttered.
“No, I shouldn’t leave Minho to do all the work, I’m sure he needs help” She removed his hands from her waist.
He pouted making her chuckle.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” He asked.
“If I wasn’t then I wouldn’t have accepted your ring” She smiled poking his cheeks.
“I’ll miss you in fact I’m missing you already” He said sniffing her neck.
“Back off” She chuckled pushing him away.
“Ok,Fine but can I drop you off?”
“Yes and head to work after that, ok?”
“Arraso,Nuna ( Alright,Older sister)” Her eyes widened.
“Nuna!, Ahjushi! (Uncle!)” She exclaimed.
“Mwo!” He exclaimed chasing her around the house.
Rose fell on a couch and Ryan fell on top of her.
They were laughing hard then they stopped all of a sudden and began staring at each other.
Ryan smiled as he moved her hair to the side to see her face properly.
“Ryan” She muttered trying to get up.
“Let’s stay like this for a while” He muttered staring into her eyes affectionately.
Rose swallowed hard as her eyes went to his tempting lips.
She claimed his lips.
Ryan dropped her off at the cafe.
He was about to go into the hotel then his phone buzzed.

💬: “Come home, Mom is back”
He went to car and drove off.
THE PARK’S MANSION*
“I’m sorry” Sara said for the hundredth time.
Mr Park just sat on a couch with his legs crossed looking at her.
“Where are they?” Ryan asked finally breaking his silence.
Jerome, Jayden and Scarlett came in.
Raya and Ryan’s eyes widened.
“Scarlett?!”
“Uncle J and Jayden?”
“Raya” Jayden smiled, Raya stood up and hugged them.
When Raya was in the states, She visited Jerome’s pub whenever she had the chance to hang out.
Since they all knew each other, It wasn’t hard for them to get along like siblings.
HAPPINESS CAFE*
“I’m so tired” Min-ho yawned.
“How did you manage all alone?” She asked closing the doors.
“I don’t know” He chuckled.
“But I missed you though, You left all alone just because I’m done with my exams” He said.
“Whatever, Have you heard from Mom and dad?”
“I call once in a day, I’m sure they’re fine, Dad didn’t even spare a second thought before going to stay with mom instead of staying in Seoul with us” He muttered.
“Let’s go, Complaint” She spanked the back of his head.
2 DAY LATER*
DIVINE CARE ORPHANAGE*
Sara and Jerome were impatiently waiting for their daughter to show up.
Raya, Ryan, Jayden, and Scarlett were waiting for her.
“I can’t wait to meet her” Ryan whispered to Rose.
She smiled. “I feel like I’m not supposed to be here” She whispered.
“You’re part of the parks family, Beautiful” He smiled.
Mr Park was in the car watching them.
They all came together but he decided to stay in the car.
A car parked in front them.
Lily alighted from the car.
“Annyeonghaseyo” She bowed.
“I wonder why you’re here” Ryan scoffed.
Lily glared at him before walking to Rose.
“What are they doing here?” She whispered.
“We came to meet someone” Rose whispered back.
The woman in charge of the orphanage came out.
“Hi Lily” She hugged.
“Hi mom” She smiled. The woman broke the hug.
“They are here to meet you” She said.
“This is she” The woman looked at Sara.
Rose let go of Ryan’s hand in shock.
Chapter 42 : Family Dynamics
“Lily?, She?, Her?, What?” Ryan mumbled in confusion.
“isn’t she an idol?” Jayden thought.
“Glitter Girls?,Lily?” Scarlett muttered.
Sara hugged her.
“I’m sorry” Sara cried.
Lily broke the hug.
“Are you my mom?”
“I’m your failed mother” She cried.
“And I’m your failed father” He walked to them.
“I wish I had come to Korea to find you, I’m sorry” He said sadly.
“Why was I abandoned?, I never begged to be born, You guys abandoned me without looking back, Did I deserve it?, Even if I was a mist-
“No, No child is a mistake” Ryan said walking to her.
“If I wasn’t then why was I abandoned!,I craved everyday for parental love but I never got it, I spent my life in an orphanage home while my so called mom was busying travelling around the world,shopping and granting interviews!” She burst out in tears.
“Going on vacation with her family while I was trying to survive and strive for myself after leaving the orphanage home”.
“Why are you back for me?, Do I have any of your properties with me?” She asked.
“We’re sorry and we are here to rectify our mistakes” Jerome said.
“Let’s say you’re my dad, Why didn’t you come for me?”
“I didn’t know you were abandoned” He said.
“I’m sorry” Sara cried falling on her knees.
Lily closed her eyes as her eyes stung with hot tears holding her fists tightly.
“Get up, Ma” She said as she extended an hand.
She looked at her before holding her hand. She stood up.
Lily wiped off her tears.
“I can’t do anything, you guys are my parents after all but you really shouldn’t have abandoned me like that without looking back” She sniffed as they wiped off each other’s tears.
Rose smiled as she became emotional at the scene in front of her.
Mr Park alighted from the car.
Raya used her hand to blow herself some air as her eyes stung with tears.
Scarlett and Jayden hugged each other, crying in each other’s arms.
“Let’s all share a hug” Lily said.
The others walked to her and shared one big hug like a family.
Mr Park placed a kiss on her hair stroking it gently chuckling out tears.
THE PARK’S MANSION*
They were all having a dinner like one family.
Seo-Joon and Min-ho came in.
“Sorry, We’re late” They bowed as they took their seats.
“Welcome” She smiled at Seo-Joon, who smiled back at her.
RYAN’S PLACE*
“I should I’ve gone home with Min-ho” She murmured.
“Keep quiet or else I’ll kiss you” He grinned.
Rose screamed. “You should have just said you wanted a kiss” He smiled claiming her lips.
Ryan came out of the bathroom. Rose threw a pillow at him. He chuckled before throwing it back at her.
He laid on the bed and began tickling her.
“Stop it!” She giggled.
“Why did you throw a pillow at me?” He giggled.
“Stop it!, Ryan!, Taeho!, Jebal!” She giggled.
He stopped. “Thank you” She chuckled.
“Should I make us coffee?” He asked. She nodded.
G. G DORM*
Lily was outside the dorm looking at the moon smiling. The girls came behind her.
“Hi,Lily” Yuna smiled.
“You’ve been smiling since you returned home, What’s up?” Olive asked.
“I’ve met my parents!” She screamed.
“What!” Yuna and Olive exclaimed in excitement.
Ryan was busy making coffee when Rose sneaked behind him.
She tickled him,He flinched in fear.
“Scaredy cat” She grinned.
He placed her on the kitchen counter and handed her a cup of coffee.
She took a sip and kept it beside her.
“It feels good to be with you” She smiled.
“Yeah, it also feels nice to have my family around me” He said.
“It sures does, Can I tell you a secret?” He nodded.
“I love you” She whispered. He smiled.”I love you more”
“I have something else to say” She said.
“What is it?” Ryan took a sip of his coffee.
“You’ve always wanted to know when I asked liking you right?”
“Neeeee” He stressed chuckling.
“On that fateful day, I was playing with the daffodils as always and I tripped over the air” She chuckled.
“You meant to say you fell” He chuckled.
“Yah, I didn’t fall I tripped” She defended.
“Ok, I agree you tripped”.
“Better, And you left the balcony where you were standing, You rushed downstairs and extended an hand to me looking away like a cold kid. But I couldn’t get up and you carried me on your back, You took me inside and helped treated my wound. I still remember you applying the ointment with care, you looked cute with the way you pouted blowing some air to my wound” She smiled.
Ryan kept on opening and closing his mouth like a fish.
“My perspective about you changed, I kinda resented you because you never spoke to me but it changed that day even though we were cats and dogs after that” She chuckled.
“This means that we’ve always liked each other but no one had the courage to confess their feelings” He muttered.
She nodded.
Ryan flicked her right cheek. “Ouch” She smiled.
Chapter 43 : Finding a Path Forward
“What!”
“I know, it’s kinda crazy but you’ll be more surprised once you know who my mom is” She said.
“Who is she?” Olive asked.
“Park Sara, Ryan’s mom”.
“You mean luxury hotel Ryan?” Yuna asked.
“Yes, Isn’t it crazy that I’m related to that leech?”
“This is surprising” Yuna said.
“And lastly, I’m a triplet” She smiled.
“What the f**k!!!!” Olive exclaimed.
“I suppose I’m the eldest you know” She bragged.
“All girls?”
“No, Two girls and a good looking boy, His smile is everything, I would have asked him out if he wasn’t my bro, I swear” She smiled.

“Was about to say same” Yuna said.
“I’m not sure he’ll date a Korean girl since he doesn’t understand Korean or an idol because he seems like someone who likes attention though we just met he’s as clingy as a puppy and I love it” She chuckled.
“Awwn, Our baby” Yuna gushed. Lily pouted cutely.
“I really don’t have an idea of what you guys are talking about but I think we should celebrate” Mabel said.
“Right” Lily smiled leaving the room.
RYAN’S PLACE*
“Come out you’re late for work” Rose knocked on the bathroom’s door.
“I’m coming”
“You’ve been in there for a while,I’ll count to three if you don’t come out, I’ll come in” She threatened.

Ryan opened the door and dragged her in.
“Ryan!” She gasped as he pinned her to the door.
“Were you missing me?, Why did you keep on knocking on the door?” He asked.
“Dream large, Ryan. Let go of my hands” She struggled.
He let go of her hands and wrapped his hand around her waist.
“You look beautiful” He smiled.
“And your body is wet so let go of me” She said.
“Give me a kiss”.
She smiled and kissed him. She broke the kiss.
“So now let go”.
“It was too short, It was up to five seconds” He complained.
He crashed his lips against hers, She removed his hand from her waist and jumped on him.
She wrapped her hands around his neck as she clipped her legs around his waist.
She began straddling him, He cupped her butt cheeks.
She placed an hand on his chest as he bit her lower lip.
He entered the bathtub.
Rose broke the kiss. “Shouldn’t you be preparing for work?”
“I’m no longer going to the office,I’ve always waited for this day” He ran his fingers on her lips.
“Nado” She muttered.
Rose claimed his lips.Ryan smiled braiding her hair.

“Where is dad?” Lily asked.
“He went to the convenience store with Jayden” Scarlett replied.
“Ok, Let’s quickly make something before they return”
“I think Ramyeon is the quickest” Scarlett said.
“Ok” She said as she stood up from the couch heading to the kitchen with Scarlett behind her.
Ryan pecked Rose’s lips as she slept peacefully looking so cute with her scattered on her face.
She slowly opened the eyes.
“Why are you looking at me?” She said in embarrassment looking away.
Ryan turned her face, She blinked at him.
“I want to stare at you for as long as I can so don’t look away” He smiled as he tuck her hair behind her ear.
“Okay Muse” She muttered.
He pulled her into his arms. “Let’s cuddle” He said. Rose nodded as she wrote on his chest.
“I said cuddle not teach” He muttered sniffing her neck. She chuckled.

Seo-Joon laughed at he ran around the house as Ana chased him.
“Mom!” She burst out in tears. Seo-Joon was shocked to his bone marrow.
They were both having running around and now she’s crying.
Raya ran out of the kitchen.
“What’s the problem, Darling?” She asked.
“He is with my teddy bear!” She cried.
“Sorry, Sorry, Sorry” She smiled wiping off her fake tears.
“Jagiya (Babe),Return her teddy bear”
“Here” He gave her the teddy bear.
“Carry me mom” She pouted.
Raya carried her, Ana stuck out her tongue at him cutely. He poked her cheek.
She burst out in tears again.
“Take me out of here mom!”
“Ok” Raya wiped off her tears heading to the kitchen.
“Raya is indeed her mom” He shook his head.
Chapter 44 : Juggling Love and Responsibilities
Lily and Rain were going for a walk, It felt weird because they were holding hands in matching gloves since it’s winter already.
To be honest, Lily was shy since they were in public.
Fans saw them but they didn’t go close to them since they were having their own time.

They looked at each other hearing everything their fans were saying.
“Should we go to lotte world?” Rain asked.

“Why don’t you ever listen to me?” Rose muttered as Ryan parked the car.
“There’s nothing to listen to, We are here to have fun so stop complaining” He smiled.
“These leech can never change” She mumbled as she came out of the car.
Ryan smiled.”Let’s go” He held her hand dragging her inside.
“Stay still” Ryan smiled widely as he wore her a kitty headband.
She chuckled.”It looks good” She tried wearing him a headband but he was too tall.
Ryan chuckled. He bent his head, She smiled wearing him a puppy headband.
“Huh?, Jisoo?” Lily let go Rain’s hand.
“Ji-eun!” Rose screamed hugged her.
Ryan rolled his eyes looking away. Rain walked to them.
“Hi” He waved. They finally broke the hug.
“Long time” Lily smiled.
“No see” Rose muttered.
Ryan scoffed “Long time indeed”. Lily glared at him.
“You’re siblings now,Love” Rose said holding Lily’s hand.
“We should get along after all you were being a motivational speaker on that day” Lily smirked.
“What the!” Ryan glared.
“Hi bro” She waved.
“Hi Sis”.
“Awwn” Rose shared as the duo shared a hug.
Lily and Rose were giggling like kids as they went on the merry go-round. Ryan was just praying that the ride ends soon while Rain was busying having fun.
“Appa!!!!!” Rose screamed as the rollercoaster began moving.
“I’m having fun!!!!” Lily screamed.
Ryan held onto Rose in fear. Rain smiled enjoying the ride.
Ryan jumped out of the horror maze, sweating crazily.
Lily made jest of him.
“Beautiful” He hid in face on Rose’s chest as he pouted cutely.
“Don’t pay attention to her, My Muse” She smiled stroking his hair gently, He nodded cutely as he wrapped his hands around her with his head still on her chest.
Lily shook her head in disbelief.
Rain smiled looking at them. He wrapped his arm around Lily’s arm. She looked at him.
“Shouldn’t you treat me like a baby,Jieun?” He pouted.
Lily couldn’t help but smile at how adorable he was.
“Here” Rose said feeding her baby some cotton candy.
“Thanks” He smiled.
“We should get going soon” Rose said.
“I agree” Lily replied.
“I disagree” Ryan pouted stomping his feets on the ground like a kid.
Lily knocked him on the head. “Stay still!” She said firmly.
Rain and Rose burst out in laughter. Ryan glared at her.
“Let’s go before she knocks your senses out of you” Rose stood up from the bench.
Ryan held her hand and stuck out his tongue at Lily as they walked away.
Lily removed her shoe and threw it at him. He caught it and threw it back at her, It hit her on her forehead.
“Yah!!!” She screamed running towards him, He let go of Rose’s hand and ran for his dear life.
RYAN’S PLACE*
“I’m so tired” Rose yawned as Ryan placed his hands on her shoulders walking behind her.
She opened the door and met Mira sitting on the couch.
“So my informant was right” Mira smirked.
“What are you talking about?” Ryan asked standing beside Rose.
“Don’t you have a house?” Mira asked Rose.
“Was just about to ask that, by the way I’m in my boyfriend’s house” She said.
“Boyfriend?, Well he’s my husband” She smirked.
“In your imagination,Look at this and snap back to reality” Rose said holding Ryan’s hand.
She raised it up. Mira’s eyes widened as she saw their rings.
“Promise rings?” Mira muttered.
“Yeah” Ryan replied.
Mira walked to them. “Ryan, You can’t do this to me!” She spat.
“I’d advice you tell your dad to cancel the alliance” Rose said.
“And if I don’t?” She scoffed.
“Well, I’ll only give you a brief of what would happen if you don’t,If you still insist on the marriage Ryan and I would go public about our relationship and people would call you all sorts of names like a boyfriend snatcher, a home wrecker, an intruder, an obsessed girl who can’t handle rejection and a girl who needs her dad to make life decisions for her and so just you know I have the whole park behind me even mom” She spat.
“Dad really won’t spare me if I cancel this alliance” She thought.
“I’ll be back for you, Ok?” She spat and stormed out.
“Bye” Rose said.
“Why?” He held her wrist.
“I should go home” She said.
“Are you angry at me?,Did I do something wrong?”
“No” She replied and left.
Chapter 45 : Building a Lasting Relationship
Rose closed the gate when she heard someone crying.
“Who is it?” She muttered. She knocked on the car’s window. Mira saw her through the window’s glass.
“Come in” Mira sniffed.
“Mira?” She muttered.
She got in the car. “Gwenchana?” She asked worriedly. Mira kept on crying.
“I guess I said too much, I’m sorry please forgive me” Rose said.
“It’s not about you, It’s about me,Let me tell you something you might not Believe” She said.
“I actually don’t like Ryan, This whole alliance stuff was forced on me by my dad*
“What?”

“No dad, I love Taeha” She said.
“You mean our housekeeper’s son?” He asked.
“Dad, Just support us”.
“The days of Romeo and Juliet are over so breakup with him or else you and your mom will live on the streets”
“No, You can’t do that dad”
“Well I can, I’ll say she steals and cheats and I can even frame her up”
“Dad!”
“If you don’t want to see that side of me, Break up with him already, I have someone in mind that you’ll get married, Park Ryan, so get ready to be part of the Park’s family” He said and left the dinner area.

“I’m sincerely sorry for the hurtful things I’ve said to you in the past” She sniffed.
“No,I should be saying that not you” Rose held her hand.
“I’m sorry, Mira”.
“I’ve made up my mind, I’m gonna fight Taeha, I found my happiness in him, I don’t mind if my dad abandons my mom and I, My mom and I are gonna survive with or without him” She said.
“Follow your heart” Rose said.
“My heart belongs to no one else but Taeha so I’ll follow him, I just hope he accepts me back after the hell my dad made him go through” She said.
“Don’t think negatively, He’s gonna accept you, Believe in the power of love” Rose said.
Mira smiled at her words.
WHITE HOUSE*
Mira already called the media and asked them to release news about the cancelled alliance.
“What did you do,Mira!” Her dad exclaimed.
“I did what I should I have done for a long time” She replied flatly.
“Don’t you care about my reputation!, Your mom! and Taeha’s life?”
“I’mma make you a promise, If anything happens to my dear ones, The next headline on Seoul News would be daughter st@bbed father to de@th” She spat. Her dad’s eyes widened.
“There are my credit cards and my car keys cause I’m ready to lose everything and anything for and with Taeha” She said.
“So do your worst!” She spat and left.
He froze on his spot like a statue at his daughters words.

Mira was outside the university waiting impatiently for her happiness.
She covered her face wearing a mask.
Taeha was approaching then he noticed a familiar figure by the gate.
“Mira?” He muttered.
Their eyes met, He quickly turned walking back into the school.
Mira ran towards him and hugged him from behind.
“I missed you, Sunshine” She muttered.
“Let go of me, Moon sorry I meant Mira” He muttered slowly.
“You still call me moon and you’re still and would always be my sunshine, Taeha” She sniffed hugging him tightly.
His eyes stung at her words.
A LECTURE ROOM*
Luckily for them, There were no students in the room.
“Why do you want me back when you broke up with me like everything was some sort of joke?, Your dad made my parents and I go through hell” He said.
“I’m sorry, I was being selfish back then but someone told me to fight for my love and I’m ready to do that even if I’m gonna lose everything”
“Lose everything?”
“I’m now a normal girl from South Korea not a girl with fame,wealth and power”
“I don’t understand”.
She narrated everything.
“What!,What were you thinking?”
“I was thinking about you” She replied.
“But you really shouldn’t have let go of everything at least for your mom’s sake”.
“She wasn’t in support of the alliance so she supported my decision”
“But Mira…” He trailed.
“I’m ready to take public buses with you,I’m ready to work and earn a living, walk with you during the stormy, rainy and sunny days and I’m ready to do house chores” She chuckled out tears.
“I’ll help with that” He chuckled wiped off her tears.
“I guess we’ll do them together then” She smiled.
“Come here” He spread out his arms.
“I missed you,Moon” He muttered kissing her hair.
“Nado, I was in a dark world without my sunshine” She smiled.
“Life was boring and meaningless without you” He said stroking her hair.
She wrapped her arms around him as she placed her head on his chest.
“I missed this” Mira muttered under her breath smiling.
