Chapter 25 & 26 : A Tense Beginning for Amelia and Grey
Amelia screamed her lungs out as Grey gave a hard thrust.
Natalia was at home, in her bedroom, lost in thoughts.
Leo’s attitude towards her made her worried, he was distant, no longer annoys her and always had a straight face everywhere he goes and she was bothered.
She heard a ping from her phone and Lazily took it.
💌 Hey; She read and it was from Leo.
💌 Hey ; She replied back.
💌 Whatcha doing?
💌 Nothing, just chilling on my bed.
💌 Wanna go out on a date with me?
Immediately she read it, she jumped out of bed and started pacing, wondering what to reply
💌 Yes, no problem.
She rushed to the bathroom and took a quick shower, then rushed to her wardrobe bringing out a pink floral dress, she looks at it and throws it on her bed, she Fi that to numerous clothes until she found the perfect one.
She came down the stairs with her black flare skirt and a purple crop top with her hair packed with her black scrunchie and her purple sneakers.
She got outside and let the breeze blow in her hair smiling and rubbing her packed hair at the same time.
Leo who came over her house so they could walk together spotted her and his mouth went wide open and ran down her body.
Natalia spotted Leo across the street and went to meet him but Leo was still in a trance.
“Hey” Natalia snapped her hand in front of Leo’s face but Leo was not responding.
“Ya” She smacked his head and Leo blinked rapidly as he stared at her.
“Am sorry for what am about to do” Leo said and Natalia gree confuses.
“What do to u….” Leo gently placed his lips on hers, cutting her words.
Amelia was on the bed lost in thoughts as her mind took her to her past, the past and why she hated Grey when they were to be married.
13 years old Amelia could be seen with 17 years old Grey as try walked in the private garden Grey’s dad owned.
Soon Grey stopped and faced Amelia with a sad look in his eyes.
“What’s wrong Champ?” She asked.
“Am leaving” Grey says and Amelia was confused.
“Leaving to?? I don’t…” .
“Am going to London to finish College” Grey says and Amelia eyes Widened.
“This is not the time for any of your Pranks Grey” She says as tears began to build in her eyes, she hoped he would laugh it out saying he was joking but he stood there with the same sad look in his eyes.
“Why?” She whispered hurt.
“Dad wants me to do so, I have no other choice” Grey says and Amelia legs felt weak as she went down, sitting on the grass.
“Are you alright Beautiful??” Grey asks and Amelia nodded.
“When are you going to be back”? She asked and Grey grew silent.
“I don’t know”.
Immediately Grey said those words, Tears rolled out Amelia eyes and tears gathered in his eyes seeing Amelia’s tears and he pulled her into a hug.
“I’ll be back for you Beautiful” He says.
“I’ll be back”.
Grey travelled to London the week after and Amelia was never normal, she goes to school and comes back going to her room and locking herself there, she didn’t eat or talk to anyone and this continued for 2 months.
She begged her parents every single day to allow her go to London but every single time was a waste as they continued to deny her request
One faithful day, her parents gave up and gave her the permission to travel to London, Amelia was over the moon as she hurriedly packed her clothes and everything she needed.
“Are you sure you have everything you need?” Mrs Jones asks.
“Yes mom” Amelia says for the third time.
“Make sure to call me one in a while” Mrs Jones says and Amelia nodded, hugging her mom and her dad Before boarding the plane and it took off.
Amelia got down from the plane smiling, she didn’t tell Grey she was coming and she had changed..
She dyed her hair pink and added bangs making her look a little bit different from before.
She say her aunt who lived in London waving at her and she rushed there.
“Aunt Sandra” She squeals happily and hugs her aunt which was welcomed.
“Baby I was surprised when your parents told me Grey travelled here and you were wailing to come meet him, I see someone is in love” Aunt Sandra says as they walked to her car and got in.
“Auunt” Amelia dragged and winded down the window letting the breeze flow in her hair.
“Does Grey know you are here?” Aunt Sandra asks and Amelia shakes her head indicating ‘No’.
“I am planning to surprise him at his school tomorrow” Amelia says gushing happily.
“Hmmm.. And we are here” her aunt announced and Amelia looked at the mansion.
She wasn’t surprised,her aunt owns a mall and its one of the richest and biggest in London.
“I can’t wait for tomorrow Amelia gushed running into the house as her aunt chuckled.
Amelia was so excited for tomorrow as she couldn’t stop jumping round the house, she was on a summer holiday which made it easier for her as she was free from worry about school matters.
Amelia slept like a baby that night but an excited baby as she ignored every one of Greys calls as she doesn’t want him to know she was in London, she only sent him a text saying her phone was about to turn off which was a lie.
Amelia had gotten ready as she came downstairs with her beautiful pink dress and a black nose mask which she wore to surprise Grey
“Morning aunt” Amelia said as she reached the dining.
“Morning baby, how was your night??” Aunt Sandra asked.
“Exciting” She replied giggling and sat to eat.
“Hmm”.
Amelia ate her usual breakfast like she does at home, 3 slices of bread, egg and tea. This was considered to be her favorite breakfast.
Amelia ate quickly as she couldn’t wait to eat to Grey’s College and surprise him, her aunt watched her with a smile.
Amelia finished eating and kept up her set, bading her aunt Bye and entering her aunt’s car as the driver drove her to her destination.
Grey and his friends in which one was Kel were walking down the hall as they talked about All sort of stuff.
Kel was the cool one in the group with his dark shiny hair and blue eyes.
Dan was the quiet one, introverted and us in Love with Madelyn, his best friend.
Grey was the flirt and most handsome, he was the most popular and was a Playboy, His attitude changed when he arrives in London. New Life, New Change.
Amelia got down from the car looking around and from afar she spots a group of girls, She rushed to them asking for Grey and when the group of girls heard Grey’s name they blushed making Amelia scrunch her fad I confusion as she walked away not bothering to receive her answers
She spots Kel and walks to him.
“Excuse me, I am looking for Grey Dante” She says in her tiny voice.
Kel looks at her and immediately thought she was one of Grey’s weekly girlfriend.
“Sorry don’t know where he is” He says and tries walking away but Amelia pulled him back.
“I am his best friend, Amelia” She says and Kel immediately knew who she was since Grey never stopped talking about her since he arrived in the school.
“He went that way” Kel says pointing to the school pool and Amelia thanked him walking away at.
When she got there and entered, she saw something that broke her heart 💔
Chapter 27 & 28 : Growing Affection
Grey was in the pool kissing a girl as he was in-between her laps as she sat on the edge of the pool and another girl made a video and at the same time shouting for them or should I say rooting.
Amelia was looking at them with a surprised gaze and hurt was also evident in that gaze.
Grey felt another presence and broke the kissing looking at Amelia with a confuses gaze.
“Did you loose your way?” Grey asked and Amelia heart broke knowing Grey didn’t recognize her after years of friendship.
“No, sorry for interrupting” Amelia said and Grey nodded but his eyes was trying to comprehend because he knew he had seen the face somewhere.
“It’s alright” Grey said and continued kissing the girl and Amelia ran out the pool and straight to her car not glancing at Kel who was confused seeing her tears.
He ran to Grey who had disengaged from the kiss and was chatting with the girls.
“Hey dude” Kel called and Grey looked at him.
“Did a pink haired girl come here?” Kel asked and Grey nodded.
“Seems she Lost her way” Grey said and Kel was confused, Didn’t Grey recognize hus best friend.
“You don’t know who she is??” Kel asked surprised and Grey looked confused.
“Am I meant to know who she is??” Grey asked back and Kel staggered back.
“What were you doing when she entered?” Kel asked.
“The usual” Grey answered coming out of the pool walking to Kel.
“Can’t believe you men” Kel said and turned to walk away, Grey tried holding him but Kel was long hone.
“His usual mood swings” Grey said rolling his eyes going to the boys locker room.
“Why did that stranger look so familiar?” He asked himself.
Amelia had gotten home and ran up the stairs to her room, ignoring her aunt’s presence.
Aunt Sandra was deeply worried and went to Amelia’s room, knocking.
“Mel..Baby” Her aunt called but heard sniffs instead.
“Can I come in??” She asked and Amelia muttered a quiet Yes.
Her aunt opened the door and walked inside seeing Amelia sprawled on her bed as her face was buried in her pillow.
“Baby, What’s wrong?” Aunt Sandra asked and Amelia sat up.
“Grey …he…was Ki..ssing.. a Girl” Amelia said sniffing every second and her Aunt smiled.
“Baby, is that why you are crying?” Amelia shakes her head signifying No.
“Then what’s wrong?”
“He didn’t recognize me, he thought I was a s..tr..a..anger” Amelia said crying.
“Awwn baby, I don’t blame him.. Baby look at yourself in the mirror (Aunt Sandra took Amelia to stand in front of the mirror) You dyed your hair pink, you added bangs, your face looks more mature and you’ve grown fat I. the right place” Aunt Sandra said and Amelia smiled
Her aunt was right, she really changed in 2 months and so did Grey, he dyed his hair from it’s black shiny color to a dirty blonde color and had pierced his ear and he looked hotter than before.
“You’re right Aunt but I don’t wanna stay here anymore” Amelia said remembering the kiss.
“I respect your decision” Aunt Sandra said and Amelia hugged her.
Amelia had packed her things and was ready to go back home, seems coming to London was a big waste of time and a huge mistake.
“Bye Aunt” Amelia baded.
“Bye Baby, come visit next time” Aunt Sandra said smiling.
“Sure Aunt” Amelia said and was on her way home already.
Kel was still very much angry at Grey and was giving him silent treatment in which Grey hated and was annoyed because he had no idea what she did.
“Kel hold on” Grey chased after Kel but he was ignored.
“Hey, What’s up?” Grey said after finally getting to Kel who stopped and faced him.
“You have been ignoring me since that stranger came yesterday” Grey said.
“Stranger?? Stranger?? you can’t even identify your own best friend” Kel said annoyed.
“Beat friend?? What do you mean by best friend?” Grey asked confused.
“That girl yesterday said she was Amelia, your Fucking Best friend” Kel said.
“You are getting it wrong, Amelia had blonde hair and doesn’t have bangs and that girl yesterday had a butterfly tattoo on her back and Amelia’s parents can never allow that” Grey said differentiating Old Amelia to Current Amelia.
Kel was utterly Confused.
“Ooh i didn’t know that” Kel said rubbing his hair.
“Of course you won’t, you never met her” Grey said spanking Kel head.
“But why did she say her name was Amelia and why did she say she was your best friend??” Kel asked.
“Probably a dopple ganger or she was tryna get close to me, I don’t blame her I mean look at this face” Grey said making the sexiest face which made Kel look at him weirdly before walking faster.
“Hey wait” Grey said rushing after Kel.
Grey continued to tap Amelia but seems she was so lost in thoughts but she later responded at the 20th call.
“Hmm” Amelia said blinking her eyes repeatedly.
“What’s wrong??” Grey asked sitting beside her placing his hand on her forehead to see If she was sick.
“Nothing, was just thinking” Amelia said and Grey raised her brow.
“About??” He asked dropping his hand.
“The past” She answered and Grey mouth formed an “Ooh”.
Grey remembered what he found out that day and his eyes dropped as he stood up and entered the bathroom.
The day Grey and Amelia was introduced to be married, Grey sent his favorite bodyguard to find out about Amelia and what he found out left him shock.
“Where’s the file?” Grey asked and his Bodyguard handed it to him.
Grey looked through and he came across 2 picture, one of the young Amelia and another which looked oddly familiar.
He tried to remember where he had seen that face and his mind went to the situation in London where a stranger entered the school pool when he was busy with a girl and he compared it together.
When the truth hit him, he widened his eyes, AMELIA WAS THE STRANGER, How did he not recognize her, I mean she had changed but he should have recognize her, he felt disappointed in himself knowing he forgot his Best friend appearance in a span of 2 months.
No wonder she hated him all the while, he broke her heart indirectly, Grey knew Amelia had a huge crush on him as she confessed to him at a point but he was too shy to say he felt the same way.
“Fuck” Grey said running his hand through his hair.
Natalia and Leo’s attitude towards each other became weird after the kiss, the atmosphere was tense and it didn’t seem like anyone was having fun.
“Okay this is a weird atmosphere, this wasn’t how I wanted the date to go” Leo said nervously and Natalia smiled a little.
“Let’s have fun, c’mon Nat” Leo whined like a baby and Natalia laughed nodding.
“Finally” Leo said and pecked her lips in which Natalia froze at the contact.
“Am sorry, I’ve just gotten addicted to your lips” Leo said rubbing the back of his neck.
“Same” Natalia said unconsciously and Leo smirked.
“What did you say?” He asked and Natalia snapped out of her trance blushing.
“Nothing” She said rushing away quickly.
“Nat wait” Leo said laughing behind her.
Lucas and Rihanna could also be seen in city park having the times of their lives as try had rode almost all the rides in the park, it was a fun park.
Rihanna stopped walking and Lucas looked at her.
“What’s wrong?” He asked and Rihanna gulped.
“Have you finally gotten over Lia?” she asked silently but Lucas heard and was also shocked at the question.
Truth was, ever ince he stared hanging out with Anna, he hadn’t thought about Natalia except that meet in school and talk like the confession never happened.
“Uhmm just ignore my question”Rihanna said and began walking away but was pulled back by Lucas .
“I want to confirm something” He said and Rihanna raised an eyebrow.
“What do you…” Her words were cut short when Lucas placed his lips on hers and her heart began beating loudly.
DUM DUM DUM DUM
Grey was in the bathroom and Amelia decided to take a good look around the room since she hadn’t done so since she came.
She looked around, opened every closet and drawers. Opening the drawer by her right, she took a book and in the process a picture fell out, She slowly bent to pick it up and at the same time Grey was coming out the bathroom, spotting Amelia his eyes went open when he saw the book.
Amelia had pick the picture and turned it to herself making Grey eyes widen the more because what was son the picture was no what he wanted her to see Yet.
Amelia glanced at it and her brows knitted in confusion 🤨
Chapter 29 & 30 : New Rival
“Who’s this?” Amelia asks and Grey gulps and moves towards her snatching the picture.
“Answer me” Amelia demanded.
“Someone Lia, just someone” Grey answers keeping the photo back in the book and into the drawer.
“Why does it say one and only Best friend on it?” Amelia asks and Grey was lost of words
“You had another best friend after me” Amelia said as her voice shook in which Grey noticed and tried to touch her but she moved back.
“No don’t take it that way Lia” Grey said trying to touch her again.
“Don’t touch me, you replaced me” Amelia said thinking of when she went to London to meet Grey but he was busy replacing her.
“Am sorry” Grey said and Amelia shook her head running out the room as Grey stayed rooted on the spot.
“Why you so stupid Grey?? Everything was going so well, Goddd why didn’t I burn that picture ” He talked to himself cursing inwardly as he took the picture wanting to tear it but immediately his eyes landed on the girl’s face, he gulped and dropped it back.
An unknown figure came down the plane as the air blew her hair and she smiled removing her sun glasses looking at the driver who was there to take her luggage.
“Here” She said handing the luggage to the driver who took it swiftly and she walked out to the car.
The driver opened the door and she entered.
“To my Dad’s Mansion” She said.
“Yes Ma’am Kiara” The driver answered and Kiara smiled.
“I should call Grey and tell him I have Landed” She muttered and brought out her phone to call Grey.
Amelia had lectures early this morning and was rushing since she woke up late, She slept in the guest room after the fight with Grey
“Miss Nia, I won’t eat breakfast today, i got lectures today” She said to Miss Nia when she saw her preparing the dining table.
“Ohkk….” Miss Nia didn’t get to complete her sentence since Amelia ran out already.
Amelia got out and saw Grey by his car , sh acted like she didn’t see him and walked pass him but looking around she figured her driver wasn’t around, neither was her car.
She walked back to Grey who was watching her the whole time.
“What did you do with my car Mr Dante?” Amelia asked and Grey furrowed his brow hearing what Amelia called him.
“I’ll drive you to school” Grey said .
“Thanks for your support but I’ll have to reject you Mr Dante” Amelia said and Grey was more confused.
“Why are you speaking so formally to me?”He asked and Amelia rolled her eyes and entered his car ignoring his question.
Grey looked at her and chuckled, walking to the drivers door and entered .
“Lia I…” Amelia cuts him off before he could speak.
“Don’t Please” Amelia said and Grey kept quiet and turned on his car as the security guard opened the gate and he drove out.
The teacher was busy teaching as half the students listened and half were dozing off including Mia who had her head on her desk sleeping and the teacher didn’t seem concerned and didn’t stop teaching for a second.
Natalia was so focused on what the teacher was teaching but her focus was disrupted when something hit her head from the back.
she looked at what hit her and it was a piece of paper, she looked back and saw Leo smiling at her, mouthing for her to open the paper and she did.
‘Hey, you looking Pretty today, Makes me wanna kiss you badly’ Natalia read and her cheeks burned red, Leo who saw this smiled as he stared at her with love and admiration.
Rihanna snatched the paper from her hand as she and Lucas looked into it and reading it, they laughed out and looked at each other but both looked away awkwardly in which Natalia noticed.
“Okay, you guys have been behaving strange, what’s going on?? didn’t the date go well?” Natalia asked and Rihanna coughed out creating more suspicion.
“It went well but…” Lucas cut Rihanna’s words by saying.
“I asked her out” He said and Natalia squealed receiving a glare from the teacher who was in the class, she apologized and faced Rihanna who was blushing.
“What did she say??” Natalia asks and Lucas answers.
“She said she’ll think about it” Lucas answered and Natalia spanks Rihanna at the back of her head.
“Heyyy, what’s that for??” Rihanna said pouting.
“You should have said yes, do you want someone to take him away from you” Natalia said and Rihanna gulped in fear.
‘What if someone takes him away from me’ She thought and Faces Lucas quickly.
“I’ll be your girlfriend” she said quickly and places her lips on Lucas’s own as his eyes went wide in surprise.
Leo who was watching this laughed inwardly.
“Rihanna Simpson and Lucas Stanson, detention Now” The teacher shouted and Mia looked up in fright at the sudden shout, her eyes caught Natalia and Leo who smiled at each other and she sighed sadly looking away from them.
“Get over him, get Over him like brother said” She said repeatedly and put her head back on the table, Mia had talked to her brother who was Grey and he told he to Get over him and not fight her fellow gender because of a guy, he also said the right one was coming for her, he out it as Mia’s Mr Right.
The Vice Principal entered and all those who were sleeping eyes went open so as not to land in detention and the teacher stopped teaching
“Good Day Students, And no I am not here to put any of you in detention(The Vice Principal said as if he was reading their minds and some students sighed out) I am here to introduce to you a new student” He said and everyone eyes turned to the boy beside him as he was wearing recommended glasses by he still looked cute though Leo and Lucas were more handsome.
“Hello Everyone, My name is Miles and a new student of our class.. Hope you all treat me right” He said adjusting his glasses as his eyes landed on Mia who was looking at him, Miles heart skipped a beat and he thought himself.
‘Love at First sight’ He went to sit as the Vice principal showed him where I seat which was right beside Mia, Her friends were in the other class which was art class, she was in science.
“Hi” Miles said to Mia and she smiled warmly, Mia wasn’t a bully but she just doesn’t like Natalia because Leo liked her.
“Hey, welcome to Monique High School” She said and Miles smiled making Mia freeze, his smile was Cute which made Mia start to hiccup and she wondered what was wrong with her.
“Do you need water?” Miles asked noticing her water bottle that was near her bag and wanted to pick it but at the same time Mia wanted to do so and their hands ended up touching and in their minds, they swore they felt a spark.
“Oh Sorry” Miles said and removed his hand giving Mia the time to Take it and Gulp water down as she coughed putting the water down acting like she was listening to the teacher but her mind was far away.
“Rihanna Simpson and Lucas Stanson, I thought I said you both should go to detention, this school is not a kissing booth so DETENTION NOW!!” The teacher said and they both stood up walking out as Natalia made sorry faces to them.
Natalia looked at Mia and saw the scene and smiled.
Mrs Dante and Mrs Jones were busy laughing and chatting as they giayed about their highschool days but the air went serious suddenly
“What do we do about Grey and Amelia?” Mrs Dante asked Mrs Jones and sh sighed.
“I don’t know, they don’t looknlike they wanna come together” Mrs Jones said (if only they knew Grey and Amelia love were growing more)
“I heard they already had Sex ” Mrs Dante said and Mrs Jones squeals.
“Ooh I can’t wait for my Grandchildren” Mrs Jones said and Mrs Dante laughed and the air got friendly once Again.
Flynn was now a Shadow of himself ever since he broke up with Amelia, his parents were damn worried by they could do nothing.
Chloe didn’t stop coming to him but everytime sh did, sh either ended up with a red neck from Flynn’s strangling or Tears out her eyes.
Flynn’s friend were of no use as they didn’t bother talking to him after they heard he cheated on Amelia with the class slut which was Chloe.
He drove out the school after Lectures and at the same time Amelia’s driver drove in to pick her up, she had only morning lectures and it was over.
She walked to her driver and spoke.
“Never leave without my permission again” Amelia said remembering what happened in the morning.
“Yes ma’am” Amelia said and entered the car and the driver drove out and to the mansion.
Getting home, Amelia enters and saw Grey on the sofa but ignored him but as she was about taking a step on the stairs, she was called back by the sound of a car horn.
She and Grey looked at each other and walked out together and saw the unknown car door open and a girl stepped out and spotting Grey the girl ran and jumped on him hugging him to herself.
“Grey I missed you” The unknown person said happily gumming herself to Grey.
“Kiara”.
