Episode 25 & 26 : The Depths of Love
★NEXT MORNING 8:10 AM*.
bethel was waiting outside for Justin to come take her to school as usual.
” what’s taking him so long”she wondered.
maybe he won’t be coming to school today?.
Justin ran into the mansion looking all sweaty, he look like someone who just ran a Marathon.she stare at him for a while, she hiss loudly before taking her eyes off him.
“sorry I took long, couldn’t find a cab that was coming this direction,so I’ve to Trek”he said hurriedly without being asked.
“whatever… didn’t ask for your explanation, just get into the fucking car and take me to school please…”she said with a cold face, she entered the car with her earpiece on both ears.
“she’s still angry like I thought”he muttered before entering the car.
The moment the car stopped at the school compound,bethel came out of the car, took her backpack and find her way to the class without sparing him a gaze.
he ran towards her and hold her hands, she struggled to freed herself from his hold but it seems impossible.
“let go of me now when am still nice…”she pleaded.
“please just hear me out”he said.
she calm down, waiting for what he wanna say.
“am sorry…”he begged.
“why did you lied to me”she asked.
“I swear it was Leo plan”he lied.
“don’t involve Leo Into this,coz how the hell did Leo know Michael and I were going out?,so don’t lie on my face, you better start talking”she said with seriousness.
“fine… the truth is I don’t know what came over me,I just don’t know why I stopped you from going to meet him”he muttered.
“make me understand please..”.
“I can’t just see myself letting you go meet another guy”he said.
bethel eyes widened on hearing what he said.what’s he trying to say?. is he jealous a guy is going with her or what?.
“hey what’re you both doing here huh?, teaching is about to start”a teacher said from behind interrupting bethel’s thought.
“ohh yeah,we will be there in a minute”she said.
The teacher shook his head before walking inside.
“hope you forgive me bethel,I don’t just know what got into me”he said and walked inside too.
“I really need an explanation”she muttered.
Bethel just came out from the restroom, she Washed her hands on the wash- hand basin.
she was walking back to class when she sighted Michael from afar, Michael on the other hand saw her too, but he looked away and continue walking.
she immediately ran after him when he noticed he was walking faster.
“Michael…mich”she called.
“are you here to accept my offer again,so I can keep waiting for you there like a foolish person” his voice was a bit high.
“Just let me explain..”she said slowly.
“am sorry..a friend of mine was sick,so I had to go see him”she explained.
“him…wait don’t tell me you left me there because of that thing call Justin”he said, making an irritating face.
“hey.. don’t talk to him like that, he’s my friend, you don’t have any right to insult him,to the extent of calling him a thing “she warned.
“am sorry but you could have called me,I keep calling you but it was unreachable, you got me worried.”he said, holding her hands.
“it came unexpectedly and I wasn’t in my right state of mind..am sorry”she apologized.
The lunch bell suddenly rsng, indicating it time for lunch.
“it’s fine,hmm ..we should go grab a lunch,am very famished”he said, rubbing his tommy.
“sure let’s go.. foodie”she said.
“hey stop calling me that”he warned.
“no I won’t.. foodie”she giggled, and ran to the cafeteria.
She was happy he forgive her.
Meanwhile Justin was seated in the class,he has been waiting for bethel to come back to the class,coz earlier she had taken permission from the teacher to go to the restroom.
“why’s she taking long gosh”he muttered.
“you’re waiting for my friend right”Sarah asked, walking to where he is.
“yeah…, but how do you know?”.
“coz you’ve been staring at the door ever since”she said.
“you’re right thou,am waiting for her, but I think I should go look for her”he stands up from his seat ready to leave.
“don’t bother yourself, coz she’s with Michael”she said.
“doing what”he asked.
“can’t believe you’re this dumb.. they are having lunch…”she hasn’t finished talking when Justin furiously find his way to the cafeteria.
“hey where’re you going?, wait for me…”she shouted running after him.
Truth be told,they were both in the caff, eating and laughing at each other jokes.
Justin watched all this from afar,it angered Justin so much,he wanted to rushed to them but he stopped.
he walked towards where Sarah is,he grabbed her waist from behind, leading her to where bethel and Michael are seated.
Bethel gaze was focused on them.
“what’re you doing”she whispered, when she saw how he was holding her.
“just act cool I wanna make someone jealous”he smirked.
Bethel fold her fist tightly under the table as she stare at them,if look can kill both of them would have been dead by now.
Episode : 27 & 28 : The Power Struggle
Justin hands were still on Sarah waist,he looked at bethel face in satisfaction, that’s what he want.let her know how it feels like to see her with a guy.
he release her waist and they both find a vacant chair, that was not too far from where bethel and Michael are.
“what’re you doing,I don’t want anything to happen me and bethel friendship”Sarah said as she find a chair to sit on.
“after everything she has done to you, you still see her as your friend”he said sitting down too.
“of coz, and she will always be my friend”she smiled.
“don’t worry about her, she wouldn’t do anything to you.”he said.
“but I wanna ask you a question, don’t be offended thou ,why are you doing all this?”she asked.
“what do you mean?”he asked his face buried on his food.
“you love her right, don’t even try to deny it”she said.
“is it that obvious?”he asked.
“it really obvious, mostly how you stare at her in class, how you always gets jealous anytime she’s with Michael”she stated, using her fingers to count.
“you’re right, I think am in love with her”he said slowly.
“you’re in love with her dude, you better make a move before that jerk make a move on her”she said putting a steak in her mouth.
“wait you don’t like him?”he asked.
“ewww,I don’t like him,I don’t dislike him but I hate him,I prefer you than him”she said.
“really?”he smiled and shook his head.
“yeah am serious”. she chuckled.
Both were silent as they ate their food,only the sound of their cutlery were heard.
“did you and bethel have any misunderstanding?”she asked, after a while.
he sighed before explaining everything to her.
“you’re really a jealous freak”she giggled.
“I can see she’s also jealous too, didn’t you see her face when you held my waist earlier”.she said and he nodded.
“dude both of you’re in love with each other”she continued.
“you wanna know why I haven’t asked her out?”.
“it’s because of my background, what if her parents doesn’t approve our relationship, just because am just a mere bodyguard”he whispered.
“hey don’t look down on yourself,I know bethel parents they might even help you out, and you know she’s the only child they have,they won’t do anything to hurt her”she encouraged him.
bethel couldn’t concentrate on her food anymore, she was staring at them every single minutes.she wished she was the one sitting close to him right now.
when did both of them start talking to each other?,or are they in some kind of relationship, she doesn’t know about?.
“and that was it..”Michael conclude his story, but bethel wasn’t even listening to him at all.
he followed her eyes and he saw who she was staring at.he scoffed before tapping her shoulder.
“what.. what happened”she asked getting startled.
“you look lost,we were staying something Earlier”he said.
“something..”she scratched her head.
“please am sorry I wasn’t listening”she mumbled.
“why are staring at him that way?”he asked instead.
“who’re you talking about?”she asked.
“Justin…. something is definitely going on between you too,is there something you aren’t telling me”he raised his brow.
“you should learn how to mind your fcking business”she said, her voice was a bit high. “fcking business you say…”he chuckled.
“let me tell you something bethel… you better stop any damm feelings you’ve for that boy…coz I know your parents they won’t even allow you to have anything with a bodyguard,an orphan for that matter”he scoffed.
“an orphan… wait how do you know?”. she asked.
“come on doll, that shouldn’t be a question,I have my ways”he smiled slowly.
“how I live my life, and who I end up with is none of your business.. understand”she yelled using all the frustration in her on him.
Everyone stare at both of them, some were already whispering and murmuring amongst their selves.bethel walked angrily out of the caff all eyes were on her.
“am going with her,I wanna know what up with her”he said but Sarah pulled him back.
“don’t go after yet,she’s still angry, even if you go after her and asked her what’s wrong now she won’t give you any reply”she said.
he think about it for a while, before sitting down.
CLOSING HOUR*
Sarah held some of her books on her hand, with her backpack on back.
Leo who was coming from the other side mistakenly bumped into her, and her books fell on the floor.
“omg …am sorry,I wasn’t looking where I was going”she apologized, picking her books from the floor.
“you shouldn’t be apologizing,I was the one who bump into you”he said, helping her in picking the books.
they raised their head at once, their forehead hit each other.
“ouch..”she cried, rubbing her forehead.
“sorry, did it hurt?”he asked worriedly, touching her arms.
“don’t worry about me”she said, yanking his hands away from her arm.
she walked to the right,he followed her, she walked to the left,he followed her too.
“arrrrg”she groaned in frustration.
both of them stop at once facing each other.
“okay you go first”Leo said, and Sarah sighed before walking away.
“she’s cute”he smile going his own way.
The car stopped at the mansion, bethel came out of the car slowly.he came out of the car as well.
both of them keep staring at each other not knowing what to say.
“I forgive you already..”she said breaking the silence.
“just like that?”he said.
“yes,I want us to be friends again,so you won’t go and meet with another girl”she said.
“I only did that to pissed you off, and it worked”he said.
“what do you mean?”.
“can’t you see bethel, I like you alot..,I don’t just know how,but I just find myself loving you, seeing you with another guy makes me angry and…”he paused, expecting bethel to yell at him.
but no she just stare blankly at him.
“I love you so much and I mean it…”bethel cut him off by placing a kiss on his lips.
“I love you too,I keep thinking about you every seconds,my heart beats faster anytime am around you,I get jealous each time I see you with a girl.. you know what, I want to be your BARBIE alone”she confessed.
He cupped her cheeks into his palm, and kissed her lips hungrily,they devoured on each other lips.
unknown to them Mr Adam’s has been watching them from the balcony.
“bethel my child, you’re making a very big mistake by getting close to that little boy… “Mr Adam’s smirk smoking from the cigarette.
Episode 29 & 30 : Love and Sacrifice
He held her waist for support,as they keep devouring on each other lips.They both stop to catch their breath,they were breathing heavily, the sounds of their heart beats could be heard.
she noticed Justin was staring at her lips which are now swollen as a result of the kiss, she bit her bottom lips and face the ground.
“woah…you’ll need to explain why you lips are so swollen like this”he said.
“I’ll simply say my boyfriend did this to my lips”she said, facing him.
“so we’re both girlfriend and boyfriend now, right?he said.
“of course “she giggled.
“but am worried “he said, letting go of her hands.
“worry about what…”she asked.
“about your parents, what if they don’t like me….you know am just a mere body…”bethel shut him up by placing her tiny finger on his lip, preventing him for talking further.
“bodyguard or not I still love you and am sure they will like you too, don’t let that bother you okay”she assure him.
“let me just kiss you just this once”he begged staring at her seductive lips.
“come on babe,my lips are yours now,stop being a naughty , and get going am sure your mom and brother would be worry about you”she said.
“I haven’t even started, you’re saying am naughty,wait till I f*ck you right here in the car”he wink naughtily.
“Justin!!!.
“see you tomorrow”he stole a kiss from her before running away.
“is he been serious about him f*cking me in the car?”.
★EVENING: THE ADAM’S.
They were all seated quietly at the dining room, each person facing their food only the sound of their cutlery were heard.
Mr Adam’s drop the fork his holding on the table and faced bethel.
“is there something you aren’t telling us… bethel?”Mr Adam’s asked staring at her face.
“something like what dad”she said as she continued with her food,not minding the look on her dad face.
“you and the bodyguard seems close this past few days,is there something going on between you two?”he smirk, resting his back on the chair.
bethel faced him at once, wondering where all these questions are coming from.she has planned to tell them about their relationship, but not today.
“dad,I still don’t get you”she said drinking water from the glass.
“honey what’s going on?”Sofia asked worriedly.
“you can just ask your daughter”he replied.
“mum… dad… there’s something I want to tell you both”she paused, reading the expression of her parents.
“me and Justin are dating”she said, releasing the breath she has been holding.
“woah.. just woah”he smile while clapping.
bethel smile too.
“never knew you were this stupid”he cursed.
“what?”
“dating?…..as in boyfriend and girlfriend you say.. you really love joking around, now tell me the fucking truth…are you guys really dating?”he asked,his face weren’t showing any signs of smiling at all.
“yes dad, and I love him so much, and he loves me too”she replied boldly.
a resounding slap landed on bethel’s cheek, the ring on his finger injured her in that process.
Sofia on the other hand was just quiet, not wanting to involve herself in a father and daughter business.
“dad… what did I do?”she asked holding her cheek, which was red coz of the slap.
“you’re asking me what you did huh?”he said.
“why your bodyguard of all people”he yelled.
“I didn’t choose him my heart did”she said.
“I don’t wanna see you close to that boy again,I can’t let me you date that boy, I’ve my reasons “he said.
“what reasons are you talking, I wanna know”she said.
“very soon you’ll know, but for know cut any ties you’ve with that boy”.
“never!!!,I repeat never, I don’t care what your reasons are, but cutting ties with Justin, I’ll never do that..”she yelled.
“you see, you see, this is what am talking about,it has gotten to an extent of you talking back at me huh?”he said.
“you know what, both of you can have all the food to yourself “she said and ran to her room obviously in tears.
“bethel…my child”Sofia called.
“you better talk to your daughter…, she’s making me do what I don’t wanna do”he said leaving the dinning as well.
Sofia couldn’t help but sighed tiredly.
LATER IN THE NIGHT: BETHEL’S ROOM
Sofia walked into bethel’s room,she was laying on the bed facing the window sniffing.she went to the bed and sit close to her.
“does it still hurt?”she asked touching her cheek.
“mum just go away please….”she begged covering herself up.
“look at me please”she pleaded.
“mom am feeling sleepy already, and tomorrow is school.. can you just let me be”she said closing her eyes.
“do you really love him that much?”she asked.
“I love him mum,I love him so much”she cry, standing up and hug her.
“It’s gonna be alright”she said patting her hair.
“I wonder what reasons he’s talking about,do you perhaps know the reason”she said.
“No, maybe Justin isn’t the right guy for you,or Justin is not who you think he is”she cooed.
“Justin isn’t a bad person,am sure of that”she defended.
“don’t worry, I’ll talk to him this night..I promise”she said.
“really..”she smile wiping the tears off her face”.
“sure, now smile for me”she said.
“I love you mom”she smile.
“I love you too”she said and kissed her forehead.
★JUSTIN PLACE.
Justin took the dirty plates to the wash hand basin.he wash and arranged them properly before going back to the sitting room.
Leo yawned and rubbed his face tiredly.
“am feeling sleepy, good night mom, good night bro”he yawned, going to his room.
Justin and Sandra(Leo’s mom) were the only ones left in the sitting room. Sandra was staring at the movie displaying on the TV with keen interest.
Justin took the remote control and paused the movie, making Sandra to turn to him.
“what’s that for?”she asked angrily,coz she was clearly enjoying the movie.
“mom, I’ve something to tell you”he said dropping the remote.
“what’s that?am listening”she said sitting properly on the couch, she wondered what wrong, it’s been long since Justin called her personally to talk to her.
“I’ve finally gotten myself a girlfriend”he said.
“really!!!,woah that’s nice to hear.my son is now someone boyfriend”she smiled happily.
“you didn’t bother to ask who the person is”he said.
“was about to ask, now who’s the lucky girl my son is dating”.
“my boss daughter..m.her name is bethel”he smile widely
she was quiet for a while.
“mom, you aren’t saying anything”he said.
“she was the one who left here angrily the other day right?”. she said, ignoring his question.
“wait you saw her?”.
“I saw her when she was leaving,we even bump into each other”she said, remembering how she bump into her, she didn’t even apologize to her, she just entered her car and drove off.
“yeah it was her… the girl that captured my heart”he said touching his chest.
“but kinda she’s rude to my liking”she scoffed.
“that was then mom.., she’s now a changed person…if you get close to her you’ll like her”.
“well,if you say so, it’s clearly you really like her,so I approve you guys relationship”she said.
“really…”.he said.
“yeah, but don’t get her pregnant, it’s too early for that,and don’t hurt her,or make her cry…coz I’ll be the one break your head”she warned.
“I love you so much mum”.
