Derrick left me to sleep alone, my head was clouded with thoughts, like’ we’re not married yet but I am already being maltreated by Derrick , I stared at the Air conditioner in the room till I fell asleep. I saw my mother in my dream telling me to quit the marriage. I woke up and was wondering what sort of dream is that, not too long I slept off again.
I was sleeping when I heard noises from downstairs .. I woke up and notice Erick and his father quarelling because of me, I opened my door and walked downstairs.
Go back to your room.. Derick screamed.
What’s going on? I asked his father.
I am asking Erick why he left you in that room all alone..
I’m fine Sir. I can sleep alone.

To avoid any more trouble, I pleaded with his father to let me use the other free rooms, he was pushing me to go meet Erick but I insisted I sleep in another room , he finally accepted and I went to the guest room to sleep..
I woke up and freshened up quickly, I wore same clothes of erick and decided to avoid him for some reasons, I really don’t want his father to get m@d at him for my sake.
I was still in my room when Erick opened the door.. “ breakfast is ready” he said.

His parents went to church leaving us both including the workers, I was like someone who doesn’t talk, we just sat in the sitting room making eye contact and watching a movie..
He got tired and took me shopping.. I intentionally picked lots of clothes with different designs, he paid and when we got home I went back to my room!! I was thinking he’d come and at least have a talk with me but he didn’t even knock on my door..
The time for the seminar reached, I got dressed in one of the new gown and we drove to the place, Sat together and started listening to the host giving us advice on how to treat out partners and have a successful marriage, she quoted the Bible and said “ Wives be submissive and husband love your wife “ she talked about the intimacy part, lots of questions were asked and when it was over we decided to go home.. on our way I decided to ask him why he divorced his ex wife.

I walked in as dericks father held me.

I stood there for some minutes holding back my tears when derick showed up!
