Episode 37 & 38 : LOOK AWAY OR I KISS YOU
“Bastard!” He cursed and went to Ava, helping her up, and when Ava saw who the person was, she couldn’t believe it!
“Bu… Bullet….?” She spluttered, totally gobsmacked.
The moment Ava realized it’s Bullet, she quickly hugged him so tight and cried more.
Her cries made Bullet angrier, so angry that it made him shoot the guy over and over like he was shooting an animal.
“Did he hurt you?” He asked, breaking away from the hug as he started checking Ava out to see if the guy succeeded in hurting her.
Thankfully, the guy didn’t hurt Ava before Bullet came. Except for the slaps she received.
Ava couldn’t answer him, because her cries were getting in the way.
She couldn’t believe that the same incident that almost happened to her some weeks ago, was about to happen again.
She had really thought that today was going to be it. Like, she was done for, because there was obviously no way anyone was going to save her.
Wait, what the f*ck is actually going on? Why does this keep happening?
Who is planning all this evil things, and why?
What has she done wrong? She can’t even remember doing anything wrong to someone.
But wait!! What if….could it be who she’s thinking?
“I’m sorry” Bullet said, wiping Ava’s tears.
Ava still said nothing.
All she did was hug him again, resting her head on his shoulder like a baby, while he patted her back tenderly.
“I will drive you home” He said and broke from the hug again.
Ava sniffed, and hiccupped.
“Stop crying, please” Bullet begged. He wasn’t happy with the way he was hearing her cries at all.
Ava nodded her head anyway.
He held her hand and took her to his car, opened the car door for her, and made sure she was seated before he left to enter from the other side.
When he entered, he sat down and rested his head on the sit, gave a sigh of relief then turned to look at Ava.
She looks so cute right now, even though she’s crying.
“Thank you, Bullet” Ava sniffed, avoiding eye contact.
Bullet chuckled inwardly at the way she was trying to avoid looking at his face.
When Bullet noticed she was cold, because it was somehow snowing that night.
He took off his jacket and handed it over to her.
“Wear this” He said, kindly, and Ava slowly collected it from him and wore.
His sweet scent covered her nose immediately she wore it.
She sniffed in his sweet scent of Roja Dove as it hovered around her nose.
“Are you okay now?” He asked.
“Yeah. Thanks” She answered, shortly.
He ignited the car and drove off.
Ava surprisingly fell asleep during the short drive to her home.
She was too exhausted from the day’s work, plus the incident that just took place.
While he drove, she rested her head on his shoulder throughout until he got to her place.
She actually gave him the address of their house, so it was easy for him to get her place even while she was sleeping.
[ AVA’S RESIDENCE ★ 10:35PM ]
He halted the car and stared deep at sleeping Ava.
“Hey…” He muffled, as if not wanting to wake her up.
“You’re home” Bullet said, calmly.
Ava slowly opened her eyes to catch him staring at her.
She got out, and Bullet did too.
“Don’t ever walk around at night again, especially alone” Bullet suddenly told her.
“I won’t, I promise” She replied him, simply.
“Thanks, bye” Ava then said, waving at him shortly.
Bullet stood and watched her walk away, but she sudden stopped and ran back to hug him again.
“Thanks, Bullet” She smiled this time as she hugged him.
Her smiles instantly made his heart leap for joy.
He smiled back and hugged her too, but not for long.
“We’ll see in school tomorrow, huh?” He said.
“Possibly” she replied.
“It must be possible” he playfully said,making Ava to chuckle.
That’s all he wanted to see,her happy face.
“Goodnight” She said.
Bullet smiled and stood there till she got Inside the gate before he left.
Ava’s eyes widened, when she checked her phone and saw twenty missed calls from her mom
With her heart thar began to beat so fast, Ava hurriedly entered and met her mom crying her eyes out.
“Mom!” She ran and hugged her immediately.
“Do you want me to die? Do you want me to die, Ava?” Rose repeated the question yet again.
“I’m sorry, mommy. There was so much to do at the cafe, that’s why I closed late. I’m sorry” Ava apologized immediately.
Rose still continued crying, not listening to anything Ava was saying. She just kept staring at Ava without uttering any more word.
“Mummy…..blood” Ava said slowly, when she noticed blood from her mom’s mouth.
“Mom, you’re bleeding again. I thought this had stopped” Ava said, holding her mom’s face, tenderly.
She got a tissue and wiped it off.
“Stop crying, please” Ava’s voice was low, and before she knew it, she was starting to cry too.
“I’m sorry, mom. I promise to never make you cry again” She said, giving her mom a breathless hug.
Rose stopped crying and looked at her daughter, affectionately.
“Do you know how worried I was?
Do you know what I almost did to myself when I called you for the twentieth time and you refused to pick?
Do you….”.
She did not complete her statement because Ava hugged her tighter and started sobbing on her chest.
“I’m sorry, mommy” She said it for the fifth time.
Rose cleaned her tears and stopped crying.
“Go have your bath” She managed to smile, even though tears were still dropping.
Ava smiled too and stopped crying.
“I love you, mom” She said and kissed her cheeks.
“I love you more, my baby. Now go have your bath” Rose said, wiping her tears admist sniffles.
Ava nodded and left to her room, immediately in obedience.
Rose touched her mouth and noticed that more blood was coming out now.
She got another tissue and cleaned it.
“It has started again” She sighed out in distress.
[ BULLET’S ROOM ]
Bullet entered his room and sighed.
They actually had a mission, but couldn’t go again. Although, they had already gone but came back for some reasons.
So, he was driving back home alone, when he met Ava and thankfully saved her.
He smiled when he remembered how she hugged him so tight.
It felt warm and affectionate.
Then, her adorable and cute crying face.
He chuckled at that too, picturing her face in his head.
He kept wondering what she was still outside at that time, doing.
A bitter thought enveloped his heart, when he remembered that that guy almost raped Ava, and he also made her cry.
“Bastard!” He cursed again, ruffling his hair.
He put the gun back in its drawer and took out his phone.
He badly wanted to call to hear her voice, but figured out that what she needed to do right then, was to rest, and not calls. So, he texted her instead.
“HAVE A PLEASANT NIGHT REST AND MAKE SURE YOU DON’T STRESS YOURSELF MORE.
Sent!
He clicked and sent it.
He dropped his phone, and took off his clothes, except for his boxers, nàkedly walking into the bathroom like a kid, with a stick of cigarette on his lips, which he smoked in the bathroom before proceeding to bath.
All he could think of was Ava while the water flowed down his body, sweetly.
[ BRISTOL UNIVERSITY ★ NEXT DAY ]
The professor just left the class and everyone started leaving too as soon as he left.
They just had their morning class, so everyone started leaving immediately the lecturer left.
“Should we go to the lab, already?” Winnie asked the girls.
“Yeah,sure” The girls chorused.
Ava still wore Bullet’s jacket as it was still freaking cold next day.
She didn’t intend to wear it again though, the plan was to wash and return it to the owner. But she just couldn’t help it, it was so cozy, plus his scent was so alluring that she couldn’t get enough of it.
“Gosh! I love your jacket, Ava! This looks very expensive, and its smell is enticing, gosh!” Olivia gushed, sniffing the jacket like a bunny would.
Ava and the rest chuckled.
“Stop acting like a bush girl” Winnie derided.
But I must say, this looks expensive and the scent is seducing, I swear” Winnie said, making them to giggle.
“Thanks, babies. But it’s not mine though, it’s Bullet’s” Ava blurted out, even though she didn’t intend to say it.
“Bullet’s?” They all chorused, with their eyes wide opened.
“Okay, someone is keeping us in the dark here, and it’s unfair” Freya said.
“You mean Bullet?
“The king of handsome?
“Most handsome in Bristol?
“Our badass girl best friend?
“Carla’s fake boyfriend?
“Ahhh!” Olivia and Freya screamed.
“His long and pointed nose for me” Olivia gushed.
“His lips for me” Freya gushed too.
“His cute sleepy eyes for me.
“His blonde hair for me….”.
“Shut up!!!” Winnie and Ava yelled at the same time as Olivia and Freya kept gushing over Bullet and singing it like a song.
“Jeez!” Winnie breathed, holding her chest in a dramatic way.
“These last born are suffocating, eish! Come here!” Winnie dragged Ava to somewhere separate, where those last born weren’t.
Olivia and Freya followed immediately though, they definitely can’t miss the hot gist, so they thought.
“Spill it!” Winnie said, as if she was Ava’s mom.
“Yes, spill it” Olivia and Freya chorused.
“Spill what?” Ava asked, confusedly.
“Are you dating Bullet or something? How can you keep something so sweet and important away from us?
Are we still your friends? I thought we promised to not keep things away from any of us.
Don’t you love us anymore?
Are we the CHARMING THREE now? No longer the CHARMING FOUR….?
“Just shut up! Shut… shut….shut it!!” Ava breathed out, heavily, holding her chest too, and the rest burst out laughing hard.
“Gosh! Olivia, did they forbid you from stoping to take breaths?!” Ava sarcastically asked.
“I told you these last born are suffocating” Winnie mocked.
“Tell me about it, baby” Ava laughed and rolled eyes.
They all burst out laughing again.
“Well, tell us already” Freya impatiently said.
“We are just friends for the love of monkeys! We aren’t dating….we…aren’t dating!” Ava said, frustratedly.
The three glanced at each other, and smirked.
“Friends? Why should we believe you?” Winnie asked.
“Because it’s the truth, he’s just a friend and nothing more” Ava replied, sharply.
“Come to think of it, how come we never knew about this friendship till now?” Olivia asked, as she thought out loud.
Ava rolled eyes.
“Let me breathe, gossips” Ava joked, shaking her head.
“We’ll get the full details sooner or later” Freya said.
They all laughed.
“But seriously, Ava. You’re one lucky girl”.
I can’t believe Bullet and Felony are your friends.
You’re even wearing his jacket, I refuse to believe you both are just friends” Winnie said.
“Better believe it” Ava replied and they chuckled.
“Where’s our fake scientist? Let’s finish our project already” Ava then spoke, changing the discussion.
“I hope he doesn’t burn us and the science lab today” Winnie joked.
“Before that happens, I’m out of the lab” Jaxon’s voice said from behind them.
“Talking of our fake scientist, he’s here” Winnie rolled eyes.
“Quit calling me that, crazy Winnie” Jaxon snapped.
“I bless the day we became course mates, you’re so sweet to tease” Winnie joked.
Everyone laughed.
“To the lab, please” Leo said and they all nodded and started walking into the lab.
Olivia just kept staring at Leo, but he didn’t spare her even a glance at all.
When Freya noticed it, she went close to her and whispered in her ears.
“I told you you’re a single Pringle just like me
….”
“And I told you I would twist your mouth in a way you’d not be able to eat again for the rest of your life” Olivia said and twisted it for real.
“Ouch….!” Freya winced.
“Last born” Winnie mocked and laughed out.
“Phew! That was one hell of a project” Everyone sighed out as they all started walking out of the lab.
“Professor Marcus should come give us our scores already” Jaxon said.
“Chill, Jax. We barely finished an hour ago. Gosh! You almost burnt my skin with acid” Ava rolled eyes.
“I’m sorry. Anyway, you’re my teacher, you shouldn’t have expected less” Jaxon chuckled.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever” Ava made funny faces at Jaxon.
“See you guys” The girls said to Jaxon and his friends, plus few other students before all of them went their different ways.
[ BULLET’S GYM ROOM ]
“I’m sorry. I couldn’t wash it last night, and I had to wear it again….geez! Dirty me” Ava said, feeling embarrassed.
Bullet just chuckled.
She actually came to tell Bullet about it; about his jacket that he gave her yesterday night.
Bullet was the only one in the gym that afternoon, training.
“It’s actually yours now” Bullet spoke, adjusting the gloves on his hands.
“Huh?” Ava furrowed her brows, her lips curved in a funny way, which Bullet found fascinating, and wanted to always see her do that.
“You heard me, and don’t even dare say no” Bullet said, sounding very serious.
“Umm, thanks….?” Ava said slowly, as if not sure if she should accept the gift or not, even though she really loved the jacket.
“And thanks for yesterday” Ava added, smiling, shyly.
“It was nothing” Bullet uttered, returning to what he was doing. “How are you?” He then asked, staring at her face.
“I’m good, thanks. Why are you training now, it’s not morning or evening” Ava asked, wondering.
“It’s cold, isn’t it? I just wanna get hot, that’s all” He replied and continued punching, not really looking at Ava.
He punched for some more minutes, while Ava kept looking.
“You wanna train with me?” He finally stopped punching and asked Ava, now giving her full attention.
“I would love to, but I’m not with any training clothes” Ava replied, still trying to avoid his gaze, just like yesterday.
“It doesn’t matter, c’mon” Bullet said and pulled Ava along.
He gave her boxing gloves, and Ava collected them, though not really interested.
After Bullet helped her in wearing them, Ava just stood still staring at him without saying or knowing what to do.
“Now punch me, little tigress” Bullet told like an order.
“But I don’t know how to” Ava giggled, raising her hands to look at the gloves in a funny way, making Bullet to chuckle again.
He just finds everything about her cute and adorable.
“Just punch!” He said it again like an order.
Ava slowly started punching him like she was playing with a toy.
When she punches, he uses his hand to block the punch, and it would just end up in the air.
For like 10 to 15 mins, same thing was happening and Bullet just kept laughing at her, making her pout, with her cute angry faces.
“I told you I don’t know how to punch, but you insisted” She pouted again, then finally gave him a punch.
“F**k!” He cursed, his eyes a bit wide. “But it felt like a massage” He laughed out more, staring at her, internationally.
“Oh really?” Ava asked with a smirk, then she gathered all her strength, punching him hard on his chest this time, which Bullet didn’t expect.
He staggered back, falling on the ground.
And as he touched the ground, Ava fell on his body just all of a sudden. Well, he made her do that, because while he was falling, he intentionally grabbed, making them both to fall to the ground. Except, Ava fell on him instead.
Her eyes widened, her heart thumped hard, and Bullet? Well, he just smirked, staring at her face/eyes that she was trying to look away.
She tried to get up, but he pulled her back instead.
After struggling so much, but with no win, Ava involuntarily stayed still and was just staring at him, intently, which she didn’t understand why the f*ck she was staring at him like that.
Meanwhile, Ava’s eyes and lips were so tempting to Bullet. Damn!!
“Look away, little tigress. Or I kiss you” He finally blurted, when he couldn’t hold it anymore and didn’t want to be tempted, but he smirked anyway.
“W….what?” Ava stuttered, but was still staring at him like she didn’t hear what he just said kissing her if she didn’t look away.
However, Bullet was staring at her too, slowly moving his head closer like he was being controlled.
Ava opened her mouth to utter a word, but he already crashed his lips on hers before she could do so.
Episode 39 & 40 : DARED TO KISS
“Look away, little tigress. Or I kiss you” He finally blurted, when he couldn’t hold it anymore and didn’t want to be tempted, but he smirked anyway.
“W….what?” Ava stuttered, but was still staring at him like she didn’t hear what he just said kissing her if she didn’t look away.
However, Bullet was staring at her too, slowly moving his head closer like he was being controlled.
Ava opened her mouth to utter a word, but he already crashed his lips on hers before she could do so.
He kissed her lightly, and Ava surprisingly responded, but it didn’t last up to two seconds, because she suddenly broke away from the kiss.
She was completely lost and didn’t know what she was doing.
But she got off his body immediately she came back to her senses.
Their eyes met again, and she shyly looked away, trying to dust her body that wasn’t even dirty.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to do that” Bullet apologized immediately, and got off the floor too.
He really didn’t intend to kiss her, he just said that jokingly. But her lips were just so tempting that he couldn’t help it.
Worst,bshe kept staring at him with those charming, killer eyes, even after asking her to look away, else.
“It…it’s okay” Ava smiled sheepishly, stuttering.
She took off the boxing gloves and handed them back to him, smiling cutely, but deep down, she felt like vanishing out of there.
“I should get going, see you later” She saud, and briskly started walking away.
“Little tigress… Your jacket” Bullet said.
“Oh, forgot it’s mine now” She smiled and turned back to pick it from where it hung.
“Thanks, bye” Ava scurried away without looking back.
Bullet smiled as he watched her leave, then he touched his lips and licked them, replaying the small kiss in his head.
“Peaches taste” He smiled again.
[ DANCE HALL ]
Jaxon and his friends, plus few other dancers walked into the dance hall as Ava did too.
They came to practice for the up coming concert.
She’s actually here because Jaxon begged her to come watch him…..or just watch them dance.
Jaxon smiled when he saw her, and Ava smiled too.
“How are you?” He asked.
“I’m okay, thanks” Ava replied, simply.
“You know how to dance, right?” He asked.
“Naa, I don’t” Ava lied.
Of course Ava knows how to dance very well.
“Don’t worry, I will teach you” He said and held her hand.
Leo and Archie looked at each other and chuckled.
“Can’t believe how Jaxon started liking Ava just all of a sudden.
I just hope she feels same way for him too. I don’t even want to imagine” Archie said.
“Hope so too, dude” Leo replied, and they both walked to join the others.
“No, no…no” Jaxon shook his head, seeing what his dancers were doing, which was totally out of point.
“Start again” He said to the dancers that were already in the hall practicing before he came.
Ava giggled at that.
“He’s cute that way” She suddenly mumbled to herself and continued watching him.
“You, go behind…. You, come over here and staynin the middle” Jaxon said, rearranging and putting them in the right order.
“Let’s dance” He then turned to Ava and said, after he was done putting his dancers in order. He held Ava’s hands that way, and they started dancing.
Ava was having a good time dancing with Jaxon, but she wasn’t really enjoying it, because she was not in the mood to dance.
All that is running through her head was the kiss that happened between her and Bullet, few minutes ago.
She shut her eyes as the scene came playing in her head again.
Then, she opened them and smiled for no reason.
“You said you don’t know how to dance” Jaxon said, brows furrowed.
“This is rubbish, Jaxon, not dance” Ava replied, referring to her dance moves.
Jaxon stared at her and started laughing.
“You’re quite funny. I like you, Ava. More than like, but I will leave it just there for now” He finally said it, letting out cute handsome smiles.
Ava turned to look at him, with shock written all over her.
“You do” She asked, with her brows curved.
“Yeah. For real, Ava. I’m not faking, and neither an I joking” Jaxon answered, with all honesty.
However, Ava just smiled and kept mute for some minutes without saying anything.
“Are you okay?” Jaxon asked, when he noticed how quiet she had suddenly become.
“Did I say something bad, I’m sorry….”.
“No, no…not that. I sort of like you too” She blurted out with a smile.
“Really?” Jaxon raised his brows, not believing what he just heard.
“Yep. It’s not bad, is it?” Ava asked with an eye roll.
“Of course not” Jaxon chuckled.
Let’s just dance” He said and held her again.
Archie and Leo just kept watching them, though they were coordinating the dance that Jaxon was supposed to conduct.
[ CAFETERIA ]
“Why is Ava not back yet? Thought she only went to return the jacket?” Anxious Freya, who had suddenly become wooried about Ava, asked.
“Hmmm” Olivia and Winnie shrugged.
“I will call her” Olivia said and dialed her right away.
Ava suddenly appeared before her phone even started ringing.
“She’s here! Our celebrity baby is here” Freya said, sillily, and hey started laughing as Ava walked to meet them.
‘”What took you so long?” Olivia asked first as Ava made to sit down.
“I was in the dance hall with Jaxon and his friends” She replied, letting out a small breath.
Olivia, Freya and Winnine exchanged glances immediately on hearing that, and Ava just rolled eyes at them and giggled.
“I was dancing, duh! Gossips” She said, making funny faces.
“Okay……?” They all asked.
“Okay…. What?” Ava asked back with a scowl.
“Just tell us, please” Olivia said, anxiously waiting for the hot gist.
“You guys are so unbearable, gosh!” Ava frustratedly said.
“We do that for a living” Olivia and Freya said at the same time.
“Last borns” Winnie rolled eyes.
“Thanks, big mummy” Olivia sarcastically replied her.
They all laughed.
The three stared at Ava, expectantly.
“Stop staring, it’s creepy. Eish!” She shook her head, plaming her face.
“Tell us and we promise to stop staring” They all spoke at a time.
“Well, he said he likes me” Ava told them the truth about what Jaxon said.
“I knew it!” The three said and burst out laughing like jobless people.
“Gossips” Ava jibed as they laughed more.
“Wait, you’re still wearing Bullet’s jacket, you didn’t return it?” Winnie asked, after she said finally noticed that Ava was still wearing the jacket.
“He said it’s mine now, he refused to have it back” Ava said as they started walking out of the cafe.
“Pour me some water, my brain is catching fire” Olivia joked, seriously being so dramatic.
“There’s something fishy somewhere” Winnie spoke too, nodding her head like a lizard.
“We’ll get the full details soon” Freya joined in, and they burst out laughing again.
“This weekend is SCHOLARS NIGHT OUT, hope you will attend this one?” Olivia then turned to Ava and asked, after they laughed and were quiet for a minute.
Yeah. Actually, every last weekend of the month is their scholars night out.
Ava hasn’t really attended any one yet, well, because of her part time job.
Other departments do theirs too, but scholars night out is mostly for science students from all levels in the school, ranging from year one.
“I guess I will attend this one” Ava answered with a smile.
“Yes!” They all screamed in excitement.
“Unfortunately, no boyfriend” Freya pouted.
“You’re alone, because I have mine” Olivia quickly spoke, giving a reply to Freya’s talk.
“Same Leo that keeps ignoring you? You’re a single Pringle, baby” Freya replied her, sharply too.
Winnie and Ava looked at them and started laughing.
“Definitely not Leo, I’m done with him” Olivia said, shocking the hell out of everyone.
“Huh?!!” Ava, Winnie and Freya all asked at a time, with their lips curved.
[ JAXON’S EN SUITE ]
“So, you finally told her” Leo spoke.
“I sure did. Plan was to tell her my feelings, but that would be too sudden, right?
Well, she said she likes me too” Jaxon said, happiness written all over him.
“Woo, that’s cool. I hope she feels the same way for you” Archie joined in the conversation.
“High hopes, dudes. High hopes” Jaxon chuckled.
“And if she doesn’t?” Leo suddenly asked, and Jaxon said nothing.
“Scholars night out is this weekend. Will you attend?” Archie asked both Leo and Jaxon, changing the conversation immediately.
“Like, have we ever missed any?” Leo and Jaxon laughed.
“Hope I find a good psy to fk, been a while, you know” Leo winked at both Jaxon and Archie.
“Man whore” Archie and Jaxon said, chuckling.
[ AVA’S RESIDENCE ★ EVENING ]
“We’ve not really talked about your school since you started” Rose said to Ava as she drank from her glass cup, dropping it afterwards.
She and Ava could be seen in the sitting room, having their supper.
“I know, mummy. I’ve missed our mouth watering talks” Ava said, scooping the food into her mouth.
“Seriously, baby. If I said I don’t miss them, then I’d be lying” Rose answered.
“Gosh! You love gossiping, mom. You have to change, that’s very bad” Ava joked, making her mom to laugh her heart out.
“So, how have you been coping? Hope the stress isn’t too much?” Rose began to conversation right away.
“Not at all, mummy. Stress is part of the fun, you know” Ava giggled, staring at her mom.
“Definitely, my love” Rose replied.
“How many friends have you made?….they are friendly people in your school, I hope….well, at least they should be” Rose said, knowing the kind of school her daughter was attending; a school filled with rich proud brats.
“Well, lots of them, mum. Can’t even count” Ava answered, chuckling.
“Are you kidding me? So I am a mother of a celebrity now or what?” Rose joked, seriously.
“You can say that again, mum. Your daughter is now a celebrity” Ava winked, stylishly fanning herself.
She and her mum both burst into a loud laugh, especially her mom who wouldn’t get enough of her silly daughter who won’t stop making her laugh till her stomach hurts.
They went silent after the laugh, and just continued eating.
“So, was that your boyfriend? The guy who dropped you last night” Rose threw the bomb at Ava.
Ava choked on the water she was drinking at that moment, and started coughing.
“Sorry, dear” Rose knowingly said, patting her back, affectionately.
After Ava had coughed her chest out, she just stared at her mom in disbelief, and her mom on the other hand, smiled at her intentionally.
“I’m waiting” She said, that smile not disappearing at all.
“Gosh! He’s just a friend, mom” Ava replied, pinching her nose.
“But you hugged him so tight yesterday night” Rose raised a brow at her.
“What! Mom……? You’re suffocating me, argh! I’m off to my room” Ava said and stood up, walking to her room straight, without looking back at her mom.
“Get yourself a boyfriend and get married as soon as you are done with school….well, with a good job. I want grandchildren, Ava, you hear me?” Rose shouted after her, jokingly.
“Ahhh!” Ava screamed and closed her ears as she ran even faster into her room.
Rose was left in the sitting room alone, laughing her belly out.
“She’s just so adorable. My beauty goddess” Rose said and laughed even more.
Ava plopped on her bed,;her hands still covering her ears, even though she was already away from her mom.
“I can’t believe that woman, I can’t believe she saw us!” She said, unbelievably.
“How the hell did this woman see us? I thought….wasn’t she inside crying?…” Her phone buzzed, while she was still trying to figure that out.
It was a message from their group chat.
~ SCHOLARS NIGHT OUT ON SATURDAY. LOCATION: DOJA LOUNGE, BRISTOL ~
She smiled while reading it.
“Haven’t even told mom about it yet” She said and dropped her phone, about to go have her bath, when it started ringing, and the caller was none other than Bullet!
“Hey, what’s up?” She asked immediately she picked the call.
“Nothing much. How are you?” Bullet asked.
“I’m good, and you?” She asked, and Bullet replied, positively.
“Just called to check on you, and also apologise for what happened earlier today” He started, and what he just said, reminded Ava of the kiss.
It suddenly started playing in her head again, but she shrugged it off immediately.
“It’s okay” She smiled, though Bullet obviously couldn’t see it.
“Thanks, little tigress” He said, jokingly.
“Okay. You have to stop calling me that” Ava gave a short laugh.
“Why?” Bullet asked, shrugging his shoulders from the other end of the call.
“Because I’m a big tigress” She replied in a funny tone, making Bullet laugh.
“Your wish is my command, big tigress” Bullet replied, obeying her command.
They both laughed over the phone.
“Will you be attending scholars night out tomorrow?” He asked after they both kept quiet for a while.
“Sure,Bwhat about you?” Ava asked too.
“I will. Will be happy to see you there” He said.
Ava just giggled and said nothing.
“Okay…I’m gonna let you rest now. See you tomorrow” He then said, after they spoke a little more.
“See you tomorrow” She said too, and hung up afterwards.
She drooped her phone and went to have her bath, after which she slept, wearing Bullet’s cozy jacket.
[ SATURDAY ★ NEXT DAY ★7PM ]
“I hate his class, damn!” Students nagged, and just kept nagging.
They just finished receiving their 5PM class, and it just ended now.
“I will see you later, Archie” Olivia said to Archie, who winked at her.
“See you later, Olive” Archie replied, happily.
Freya, Winnie and Ava looked at each other in total confusion.
Leo and Jaxon were not left out as they all wondered what the f*ck was wrong with those two.
“Did she…., never mind” Leo said, his brows curved in both confusion and disbelief.
Well, Archie had obviously been crushing on Olivia long ago, but Olivia didn’t have his time because she was busy crushing on Leo who wasn’t even noticing her.
“See you later, Ava” Jaxon said to Ava.
Ava nodded, and waved at him.
“Single pringle” Freya pouted when no one said anything to her.
“Awww, don’t feel bad, baby. You will get the most handsome one, trust me” Winnie told her, patting her back like a baby.
“Spill it, why the sudden switch, huh?” The three girls dragged Olivia to a corner, asking her seriously.
“Nothing, bye….” She replied them, and ran off, heading to the hostel with her bag pack, dangling behind her, leaving her friends to chuckle yet, still confused.
[ AN HOUR LATER ]
“OMG! I’m gonna faint” Olivia said, gushing over Ava’s dressing.
“I know, right?” Winnie and Freya gushed too.
“Who’s got the brains?

“Killer smile? Ava!
“Charming eyes? Ava!
The girls started signing praises to her. Meanwhile, Olivia was busy twerking to that, making everyone to laugh.
“Whoa!!” They all screamed out excitedly.
“Stop making me shy, please. Y’all look amazing too” Ava told as she felt so shy with all the praises she was receiving.
“We know, but yours is killing, Ava” They all chorused.
“Let’s go already, can’t wait to see Archie” Olivia said.
“I think she’s gone cu cu” Winnie said, making a screwing sign on her head, which made Ava and Freya to burst out loudly.
“I heard that!!” Olivia shouted at Winnie, stopping on her track to give her a scowl look, but Winnie just gave her a middle finger.
[ DOJA LOUNGE ]
“Finally here” Jaxon said to Ava.
She smiled.
Ava drove with Jaxon, Freya drove with Winnie, Olivia with Archie, then Leo drove alone.
The BULLTASTIC 4 came too.
“You’re beautiful” Jaxon compliments Ava.
“Thanks” She smiled.
They all got out and walked into the Lounge.
Many other students started coming too and soon, the place was filled with excited students.
Archie and Olivia just sat separately, chatting.
Freya and Winnie sat same place with Ava and Jaxon.
Carla and her gang sat a bit far from them, not so far though.
Meanwhile, Ivy was seriously just busy glaring at Ava, who ddidn’t give a f**k.
Felony and Bullet arrived too not long, and he had been searching for Ava since he arrived.
The crowd was much, so it was not that easy to find someone around there.
He called her instead, and she directed him to where she was.
Most of his members came too, but they didn’t come same time; they all came different times.
Ava, who suddenly sighted them from a bit afar, got off the chair immediately, going to where they were.
She hugged Bullet, then Felony.
Jaxon tried his best not to show his jealousy, when he saw Ava huggeing Bullet.
“I thought you were not gonna come” Ava said, smiling.
“Told you I would come, didn’t I?” Bullet asked, smiling also.
“You’re extremely beautiful” He complimented too, just like Jaxon did.
Felony stared at the both of them, smirking.
“I didn’t know you were friends with my crybaby” Felony smirked again, returnung all her gaze to Bullet.
Ava giggled anyway, while Bullet said nothing, he just smiled.
“Let’s go join others, please” She (Ava) then said.
“Sure” Bullet replied, and they started walking away.
They walked to where others were and finally sat down….not too close to them though.
Nevertheless, the party started, with drinking, dancing and flirting going on.
Some were even kissing and banging themselves at one corner. Yes, its gets that crazy!
Meanwhile, Leo could be seen stylishly turning to look at Archie and Olivia, who were having a good time together.
“Lynx! You came” Winnine said when she suddenly saw Lynx that she wasn’t expecting to see.
He walked up to them, and joined immediately.
“Single Pringle” Freya said again for the tenth time that day as she was now left alone with no guy.
And this time, no one could hold their laughs, they all let it out loudly, including Freya herself.
Drinking and dancing continued….people playing different kind of fun games.
Some were playing snooker, others were balling, and most of them playing table tennis and the sort.
Yes! On their outing day like this, they just gather and fun fund, no school related stuff. Just fun, fun, and fun!
“Our group is boring, let’s play a game, please” Harper suggested.
Yeah. She actually sat with Ava and the rest, not with her bully friends, who sat some feet away from their group.
“T&D, please” A student in the group suggested too.
“Perfect game” They all chorused, agreeing to that without arguing.
Everyone sat in a circle, there was no need to spin any bottle though. They were doing it in a different way.
“I’ll go first” Winnie was the one who spoke, intentionally.
“Olivia, T or D?” She asked, smirking.
“T” Olivia replied immediately.
“Who are you crushing on, Olivia?” Winnie asked, smiling this time.
“Archie” She replied immediately, with no hesitation.
“Whoa!!” Everyone wowed, especially those who knew Olivia had been crushing on Leo all the while. But what….?!
However, Leo’s expression changed, when Olivia didn’t call him like he had expected her to.
Everyone had their turn till it got to Jaxon’s turn.
Bullet and Felony didn’t join the game, so they just sat at one end watching the game that was going on.
“Jaxon, T or D” Harper was the one who was to ask the question this time.
“D” Jaxon answered, sharply.
“Okay. I dare you to kiss Ava” Harper intentionally said it because of one person, and it was none other than Ivy, her very best, yet worst enemy.
Ava’s eyes widened the moment she heard what Harper just said, and her heart started pulsating.
Ivy on the other hand, tightened her fists!
Bullet’s expression changed too, immediately he heard that. He held his glass of wine tighter, and even tighter.
Jaxon smiled and stood up, moving closer to Ava, though he wasn’t far from her.
Ivy tightened her fists even harder than before.
The glass of wine Bullet’s held, could be heard cracking, due to the pressure he was putting on it.
Everywhere became so damn hot, as the tension was getting too high.
“Kiss….kiss….kiss!!” Came the crowd….
Episode 41 & 42 : I LOVE YOU, MUM
“Kiss….kiss….kiss!!” Came the crowd as many students screamed aloud.
The closer Jaxon went to Ava, the more Bullet’s glass cracked, and the more Ivy tightened her fist.
Felony looked at Bullet, confusedly as she didn’t understand why Bullet was reacting so much and being angry at what was about to happen.
Why he’s angry that Jaxon is about to kiss Ava.
“They’re just friends,right?” She asked herself inwardly, staring at angry Bullet.
Meanwhile, just when Jaxon was about to kiss Ava, Bullet pressed harder on the glass and literally broke it into pieces, and he ended up hurting himself.
Ivy on the other hand, came out from nowhere and dragged Jaxon out of there.
“What the hell do you think you just did?” Jaxon snapped at her, agitatedly.
“I am not ready to faint the second time because of her, do you understand?!” Ivy snapped back at him.
Some students around started laughing at the “faint the second because of her”.
Most of them who saw her faint the other day though.
“Are you crazy? And who cares if you faint or not?” Jaxon yelled.
“I am your girlfriend, Jaxon. Treat me like one!” Ivy yelled back. It was as though they were in a yelling contest.
“My girlfriend? I don’t remember asking you out. When and how did you become my girlfriend, Ivy?” Jaxon asked, anger written all over him.
Ivy stared at him like and was like….what??
She didn’t even know when she started crying, right at that moment, in the presence of everyone.
Meanwhile, Bullet pulled Ava out of the crowd too, just like Ivy did to Jaxon, taking her away from others.
“Were you really gonna let him kiss you?” He asked, anger obvious in his voice.
“What do you mean? It’s a game, and you do what you’re asked to do” Ava answered, plainly.
She never had it in mind to kiss Jaxon though, but why the hell was Bullet overreacting? Just why?!
“F**k! So, you actually were gonna let him kiss you ” Bullet ruffled his hair, and walked around shortly in a crazy way, then back to face Ava.
“What’s up with you, why are you bothered about this, anyway?
That was just a game, and besides, I am not a kid.
I choose to do whatever I want, not people telling me otherwise” Ava answered, now getting angry too.
“I can’t believe what you’re saying, f**k!” Bullet cursed again and ruffled his hair.
“Why are you so worked up with this, huh?! You kissed me yesterday, didn’t you? So who the hell came to yell at you?” Ava asked, breathing heavily due to how much she was talking.
“I told you it wasn’t intentional, and I already apologized for that” Bullet said, frustratedly.
“Then stop this already, and let me be.
You’re not my dad, my mom, and neither are you my boyfriend, so stop being a pest and let me the hell be!” Ava said without thinking. She was so angry at how Bullet was taking everything so personal that she wasn’t thinking.
Bullet just stared at her, dejectedly.
He couldn’t believe what Ava just said to him….What she just called him. A pest? Wow! Such a harsh word.
Well, surprisingly, he’s starting to think that Ava is right about him being a pest. Yeah.
Obviously, he’s being a pest because ever since he saw Ava, he’s really been acting like a pest that Ava just called him.
Staring at her for the last time without a word, Bullet walked into his car, without turning to look at her again. He started the ignition and drove off, instantly, leaving Ava there.
Ava stood on the same spot, wishing she could take back her words.
She started regretting ever saying such to him, almost immediately she said it.
“Was I too harsh on him?” She asked and bit her lower lip hard, and it instantly got a blood stain as a result of the hard bite.
She turned to go join her friends, only to find them standing behind her.
“Geez!” Ava exclaimed in shocks, holding her chest as she got really startled, because she didn’t expect to see them there.
“How….how….long have you been standing here?” She shuttered, taking turns to look at their faces.
“Long enough to have heard everything, and we also heard that Bullet kissed you yesterday ” Winnie was the one who spoke.
Ava gasped.
“Ava, what is going on? What was that all about?” Olivia asked, worriedly.
“Nothing is going on” Ava answered, shortly.
“But you look worried, you were worried when he left. Are you dating Bullet?” Winnie asked, keenly.
“He’s just a friend. Just let me be, please” Ava said, already tired with the whole shit.
“No, please. She’ll tell us when she’s ready, just let her be” Olivia said, when Winnine wanted to ask Ava more questions.
Ava left to sit in a calm place, with her head in her hands as what she said to Bullet kept replaying in her head.
Felony had gone too, she didn’t ask questions nor talk to anyone.
Carla and her gang also left.
It was just Jaxon and his friends, alongside Ava and her friends too.
“The craziest scholars night out ever” Archie said, and Leo just glared at him.
“What the f**k were you doing with Olivia?” He suddenly questioned, his voice a bit raised.
“Having a cool time with her” Archie replied, sharply.
Leo glared at him again without saying anything, he then turned to look at frustrated Jaxon.
“Hey, man. You okay?” He asked,concerned.
“I’m fine. Where’s Ava?” Jaxon asked.
“Over there” Archie answered, pointing to the direction of where Ava sat.
Jaxon got up and walked to where she sat. He sat beside her, staring at her.
“Are you okay?” He asked, calmly.
“I am fine, thanks” Ava answered, simply, and Jaxon inhaled.
He took off his jacket and gave it to her, because she wore a sleeveless dress and the weather was pretty cold too.
“Wear this, it looks like you’re cold” He said, handing her the jacket.
“Thanks, Jaxon. But I’m okay” She replied, politely with a smile, but without collecting the jacket.
“Should I drive you home?” He continued to ask more questions. He literally worried about her.
“No, no….please. I’ll go with my friends” Ava smiled and stood up.
“See you in school tomorrow, Jaxon” She then hugged him shortly and left.
Jaxon sighed out in frustration and just watched as she leaves.
Winnie and the rest were already waiting for her in the car.
Olivia had to drive with Winnie, since she didn’t bring her own car, because she drove with Archie to the night out party.
Ava sat down quietly, looking through the car window as Winnie drove them back to the hostel.
“You’re not my dad, mom, and neither are you my boyfriend, so stop being a pest” continued to play in her head while in the car.
The more it played, the more she felt bad about what she said.
Plus, she noticed Bullet’s bleeding palm, and what she said to him just added to his pain.
How Bullet left dejectedly without saying anything, makes her feel even more bad and extremely worried.
“Are you okay?” Winnie looked back at her, asking.
“I’m fine” Ava simply said, throwing her face at the mirror more.
Winnine, Olivia and Freya sighed.
Freya never said anything since then. She just kept looking at Ava.
[ THE BULLTASTIC 4 APARTMENT ]
“What the f**k did you do back at the party?” Ivy yelled at Harper seriously, the moment they got in.
“Having fun?” Harper smirked.
“I have always thought you were mad, now I know you’re really mad” Ivy insulted.
“Insulting me won’t change the fact that you’re never gonna have Jaxon. Not even the color of his boxers are you ever gonna see again.
Say goobye…to him, because he’s someone else’s now. Wait, he wasn’t even yours in the first place”
“And let me tell you one thing you don’t know. Even if Jaxon doesn’t end up with Ava, he’s never gonna be yours.
Same goes to you, Carla. You both are losers. It is better you find people who will love you for real, rather than this shit you two are doing. Fighting and fainting because of d*cks” Harper smiled in the most mocking way ever.
She walked past them and went straight into her room, banging the door after her, intentionally.
“Ahhhhhh! I will kill her!” Ivy and Carla screamed like maniacs.
Isla just stood still, watching and couldn’t utter a word, because there was really none in her mouth to utter out.
[ JAXON’S EN SUITE ]
“Dude, are you okay?” Leo and Archie asked Jaxon at the same time.
“I am fine. I’m just worried about her”
She refused to drive with me, she refused to wear the jacket I gave her even though it was cold” Jaxon answered.
“Do you think she’s mad at me?” He suddenly asked.
“She can’t possibly be mad at you, it wasn’t your fault, so chill” Archie replied him.
“The night was a crazy one, and everyone is stressed out. Just chill, Jax” Leo said too.
He went into the kitchen and got a bottle of water, which he gave to Jaxon to drink.
“This isn’t going to be easy, I see someone else is in love with her too” Archie spoke, after Jaxon had gulped down his water.
Jaxon felt angry immediately he heard that.
[ BULLET’S ROOM ]
He got home long ago and all he’s been doing, is thinking of Ava.
What Ava said to him really got him….he wouldn’t lie that it didn’t affect him. He felt really hurt, and still feels hurt right now.
“She’s right. I am not her dad, neither am I her boyfriend, I’m just a friend, right?
But why is it so f**king hard to get her off my mind?” He asked nobody in particular, pacing around.
“I’m sorry for trying to tell you how to live your life, I guess I went too far” He apologized to Ava who was obviously not there with him.
“I just couldn’t stand seeing someone else kiss her, not after I kissed her yesterday.
I can’t stand it” He said again and ruffled his hair.
He picked his cigarette, lightened it up but couldn’t smoke, so he threw it on the ground, putting out the fire on it with his foot.
“I…..I…” He kept quiet and laid on the bed, staring into space.

Ava can barely sleep, she’s just been tossing on the bed for God knows how long.
She has been thinking about Bullet, then Jaxon.
Every damn thing that happened at the party just kept bothering her.
Most especially, the things she said to Bullet, and his bleeding palm that she couldn’t do anything to help. I mean, he has helped, saved her before, right? So she’s supposed to be worried about him or at least shown concern.
“I hope he’s not mad at me for saying that to him?” Ava asked nobody in particular.
Truth be told, Ava did not, and wasn’t planning to kiss Jaxon, but everything just went crazy and ended up saying that shit to Bullet.
“What if he refuses to talk to me again?” She kept asking and turning in the bed, so much that Olivia woke up, because she was actually sharing Olivia’s bed.
“Ava….? Wait, you’re not sleeping?” She asked, drowsily. “What’s wrong? Is it about what you said to Bullet?” Olivia asked, concerned.
Ava nodded.
“I didn’t mean to, trust me. It was out of frustration and anger” She said.
“I understand, baby. You need to sleep, your friendship with Bullet and Jaxon will still be, don’t stress yourself over nothing.
Sleep, please. We have lectures tomorrow, remember?” Olivia said.
“Thanks, Olive” Ava replied and curled up with the duvet.
Even though Olivia had mitigated the situation, it still took Ava time before she slept off.
[BRISTOL★ NEXT DAY ★ 3:30PM ]
Lecture is going on, but Ava has not been concentrating.
Half of her mind is in class, and the other, somewhere else.
Winnie has been taking glances at her at intervals.
Been long they saw Ava in that mood. She’s been jocund and lively ever since she started standing up for herself. But her mood right now is disturbing her friends.
“Thought she said they are just friends, why is she still acting this way?” Winnie wondered in her heart.
The lecturer taught for some more minutes before rounding up and leaving afterwards.
“Ava, baby” Winnie started playfully in a way to cheer her up.
“Don’t tell me you’re still worried about what you said to your boyfriend yesterday” She said, teasingly.
“What! Cut it out, he’s not my boyfriend, just a friend” Ava half yelled.
“Then why are you still worried about him?” Olivia raised a brow and Ava giggled at the way Olivia furrowed her brow.
“Now that’s all I wanted to see. That beautiful, happy face” Olivia smiled.
“Stop getting yourself worried over nothing, okay?
Do you mind telling us what’s up with you and Bullet?” Winnie then asked.
“What do you mean? Nothing is up with me and him” Ava replied, defensively.
“Why then did he pull you out of the crowd when Jaxon was about to kiss you?” Olivia asked seriously.
“Are you sure? Your lips are saying so, but I think your heart is saying otherwise.
Because I don’t understand why you’re still moody and worried because of him” Winnie said.
“Don’t friends get worried about each other when something happens between them?” Ava rolled eyes.
“Duh!” Winnie giggled, rolling eyes too.
“Do you have feelings for him?” Freya, who had been quiet all along, finally spoke.
“I….I…no, I don’t” Ava replied, stuttering.
“And Jaxon? Because it was clear you were gonna kiss him if Bullet had not pulled you out of there” Olivia said.
“No! I don’t have feelings for him, and I wasn’t gonna kiss him. Stop bugging me, please! I don’t have feelings for anyone!” Ava yelled, frustratedly.
The girls exchanged glances and started chuckling.
“She isn’t sure yet” Olivia Whispered to Winnie.
“I heard that, gossips!” Ava barked at them.
“Do you have bats ears” Winnie and Olivia laughed out loud, and Ava rolled eyes at them.
“Gosh! I can’t believe we had lectures on a Sunday. Lecturer Marcus is wicked!” Olivia said, and they all burst out laughing.
“I guess you’ll be going home now” Winnie said, referring to Ava.
“Sure. Mom has even called to ask when I’m coming home” Ava answered.
“Awww, her mother’s daughter” They all gushed.
Ava giggled and rolled eyes.
“Will you stop at Bullet’s to say sorry before going home?” Freya asked.
“No, I don’t think I can face him now” Ava replied.
“Do it when it’s right for you, okay?
See you on Monday, well, which is tomorrow. We’re gonna miss you” They said and hugged her.
“See you, babes. Gosh! I love you guys to the moon and back” Ava said in excitement, hugging them again.
They too said same to her before she left.
[ AVA’S RESIDENCE ★ EVENING ]
“Bristol University will never and can never take my daughter away from me” Rose said, the moment Ava walked in.
Ava laughed as she went straight to hug her mom.
“How can you be having Lectures even on Sundays too?” Rose queried.
“Seriously, mom. It’s really stressing, but I will survive” Ava said, smiling.
“How are you my baby? How was the night out with your friends?” She asked, with a little smile.
Just when Ava had somehow gotten her mind off it, her mom just reminded her of yesterday’s event again.
“It was okay, mummy. Had a lot of fun” Ava forced a smile.
“Glad you did” Rose smiled, heartily.
“Mo….m? You’re bleeding again?” Ava asked, when she saw blood on her mom’s mouth again.
“It started after the Landlord came to threaten again” Rose replied, sighing.
“Shit! The house rent” Ava said, rubbing her face roughly.
“Have you taken your drugs?” Ava asked as she used a tissue to wipe it off.
“Not yet, baby. Just sit, I need to tell you this” Rose said, and Ava began to wonder what she was suddenly talking about.
“What is it, mom?” She asked, keenly.
“It’s about your dad and sister” Rose started, slowly.
Ava’s eyes widened so wide and rolled to the back of her head, when she heard what her mom just said.
“Wait, my Dad and Sister? You mean I have a dad and….and a sister” Ava stuttered, impatiently waiting for her mom to answer her question already.
“Ye…yes” Rose answered, amidst coughs.
Blood started coming out again.
“Mom….” Ava called and sat even closer to her mom.
“I am fine, V. Don’t get too worried, okay?” Rose told her.
“But you’re bleeding, mummy” Ava’s voice was filled with fear, seeing her mom acting that way. She became really worried.
“I know, but I’m fine. And yes, you have a dad and a sister….”
“Oh my gosh! This is the best day ever!” Ava screamed aloud, cutting her mom off.
Rose chuckled at her over excitement.
“Tell me more, mummy” Ava tried to calm herself down, but she was just too excited.
“His name is….is Colton, and your sister is W….W….” She paused for a moment as she started coughing again, breathing out heavily, with more blood coming out.
“Mom, you’re scaring me, stop doing that” Ava said in fear.
“I’m fine, Ava. You…..you have a dad and sister, but the problem is that, neither of them know you” Rose continued, trying her best to breathe well.
“What do you mean, mom? What do you mean they don’t know me?” Ava inquisitively asked.
“You see, I…I….” Rose coughed out and slumped just all of a sudden.
“No! Mom!” Ava screamed and held her mom in her arms.
“Mummy….mummy!” She called, tears already soaking her clothes.
“Take me to the hospital, baby. I will be fine, okay?” Rose said, more like a whisper as she closed her eyes, weakly.
“Noo! Mummy!! Stop doing this! Open your eyes, mummy!
Taxi! Where’s my damn phone?!” She yelled st no one, left her mom to go get it.
She got it and called a taxi immediately, her regular taxi, so he’s always available when she needs him.
[ ST. MICHAEL’S HOSPITAL ]
“Doctor…. Nurse!” Ava shouted immediately they arrived the hospital and got out.
The nurses quickly rushed to them with a stretcher without wasting time.
Ava’s eyes were already swollen because of her cries.
Her mom was taken into the ward, while she sat outside, sobbing her eyes and heart out.
“I love you, mum….You have to survive this if you love me too” Was all she kept saying since they got to the hospital.
Few minutes later, Ava sprang up from where she sat as soon as she saw the doctor.
“How’s she, how is my mom?” She asked amidst cries and heavy breaths.
The doctor sighed, putting his head down.
“Her heart condition has gotten worse.
