Episode 46 : Derek’s Soft Side
“I love you”
The word rang in her hear,she was so speechless like did he just say he love her? Derek smiled while he starred and her.
“Yes I love you,I really do love you Diana” he pause “I’m sure you must be wondering why I have been acting weird, well it’s because I’m beginning to have feelings for you,I don’t know how it happen but just found myself loving and wanting you” he sigh while he pulled her closer “I’m so sorry for the way I treated you wife,please forgive me,please let’s forget about the contract and live like normal couples, I want to love you forever and be your husband forever” he said gently,
Tears began to flow from her eyes,he frown slightly when he saw her crying.
“Hey please don’t cry,I don’t want to see you cry anymore” he said as he wipe her tears, Diana smiled as she sniffed her tears then embraced him
“Oh Derek I love you too” she said.
Derek was not really expecting her yo confess her feelings to him right away.
He gave he a long kiss in the lips which she respond quickly .
“I love you so much” he muttered through the kiss
Meanwhile,Nicholas stood at a corner watching them in annoyance, he can not believe that they have confess their feelings to each other,he has to do something quickly.
He went to met tiana and drag her with him to a corner.
“Hey what’s up with you?what do you want?” She yelled at him .
“Let’s do it” “do what?” She asked him “let’s go for your plan tiana” she was surprised “really?” “Yes,I don’t care what happen all I want is Diana and that’s all” he said with a serious tone,she smiled within her,she knew he would come back asking for her help “alright, come with me” she said as she took his hand.
Diana sat next to granny and her sisters Nicholas’s mother .
“Granny you have been standing all long,won’t you have some rest?” Diana said granny smiled “it’s my birthday and I wanna have fun and feel sixteen again” they all laughed “Diana could you please get me a drink, I’m tasty” granny said “sure granny” Diana stood up then went up to the kitchen, she saw glass of wine on the counter then she took it and then went to give it to granny.
“Ah! Thanks dear” granny said after drinking the whole wine.
“I knew you would be tasty but I……..” Diana was cut off when she felt Derek’s hands on her waist.
“Can I have my wife for while” he said.
“Oh yes please take her away with you ” Granny said while Diana giggled as she allowed Derek take her to the dance floor ,they smiled at each other as they but dance slowly in each other hands .
They where interrupted when they heard someone screaming and it was coming from Granny’s direction. Diana and Derek disengage from each other then ran up to granny and then found her vomiting blood.
“Oh my goodness” Derek screamed as he rushed up to her and held her “Granny.. What happen to you” she fainted instantly, Derek nearly run mad “someone call the ambulance” he yelled.
Episode 47 : A Moment of Weakness
(At peace hospital)
Derek was seen pacing about in the waiting room while Diana tried to console him, Nicholas abd and his mother Rose was also at the hospital.
“I just hope she is fine”Derek muttered.
“She will be fine, let’s just wait for the doctor”Diana said.
“Why are they taking so long”he said angrily.
“Derek relax, granny would be fine”rose said, some minutes later the doctor came out while Derek rushed toward him.
“How is she? Is she fine? Is she awake now?”Derek rushed his question at the doctor.
“Yes she is fne, she was poisoned” “what?? Poisoned? , but who come”derek gapsed even Diana was surprised “we found some dangerous chemical in her system which could be only contacted through food or drink, we’ve remove the chemical from her body before it could cause any damage but she is stable for now”the doctor said, Derek frowned instantly , who could have poison his grandmother and for what reason, he felt really angry as if he should strangle the person that instant.
“Can we see her doctor? “Diana ask.
“No you can’t, you can see her maybe tomorrow, but for now she needs lots of rest”.
The doctor said then he left.
“I can’t believe granny was poison, I wonder how it happen, who could have done that?”Diana said curiously , Derek was quite, he was faming in anger, Nicholas who have been quite all along moved closer to Derek.
“We have to call the cops Derek, we neef to arrest this culprit”Nicholas said, Derek looked at him then he nodded.
“Yes you are right Nicholas, the criminal can’t go scot free”he said the brought out his phone from his pocket and call the police.
The next morning,
Diana, Derek and Nicholas sat at the dinning table having breakfast when a maid came to make an announcement of a detective
“How far is the research detective Bryan?”derek asked “we’ve done the research and we find out the culprit is within the house” Bryan said
“Who is that Bryan? “Derek asked as he could not wait to strangle the person to death .
“Who is Diana Flynn? “Bryan asked.
Diana frown slightly when he asked of her name “that’s me Mr Bryan”sge reply .
“Mrs Diana Flynn you are under arrest For they attempted murder of mrs Regina Flynn”Bryan said .
“What?” Diana was shocked .
“You must be joking right, I never did that”she said she turned to look at Derek who looked at her as if she was truly a criminal
“Ma’m all evidence shows that you poison her drink, we have your finger print o the glass cup she drank her wine we also have the cctv footage” “are you sure about what you are saying”Derek said bryan nodded “yes” Derek looked at Diana quietly “why do you do that?”he asked her now looking angry “Derek don’t tell me you believe him, why would I think of doing that to granny”she said as she try to touch him but he move far from her “I don’t know what to believe anymore”he whispered sadly “Derek please belive I didn’t do it”she began to cry while the police drag her out of the building “Derek. …..”she called him but he turned deaf ear, he believe she did nit forgive him that was the reason why she decided to poison granny, how could she?
Episode 48 : The Truth About Derek’s Feelings
(At the police station)
“I’m innocent, Please let me go”.
Diana’s voice filled the whe station.
“Mrs Diana it would br better if you accept your crime and keep quite”Bryan said, Diana gave him a frown .
“I won’t keep quite when a false accusation is been pointed at me, I need to speak with my husband. ….” “I’m right here”.
She turn to look at the door and then found Derek standing at the door, he walked in slowly with his hands in his pocket, he had no expression on his face , he sat right in front of her then signal the detective to leave the room.
Diana signed as she stare at his blue eyes. “What is happening Derek? Why are they putting all the blame on me?”
“No one is putting blame on you it’s just the truth, why did you do it? Why did you poison granny?”he spoke in a husky voice, Diana look at him as this was the first time she would be seeing him.
“If u wanted to get back at you I would have done that long time ago, I can’t believe you actually believe them , did you even investigate. ….” “all investigation are on you so stop talking”he yelled while banged his hands on the desk causing her to flinch, he was angry.
“I thought you love me”she whispered as tears came out from her eyes, Derek paused as he looked at her “I do love you but you disappoint me, after confessing my feelings to you and also letting go of the loan you still pay me back, you almost killed granny, you no I never joke with granny”he said angrily “God ..
Knows I’m innocent, I swear on my life I’m innocent Derek”she cried, he stood up then turn to the door “i pray you don’t regret this Derek”she told him through tears, he did not turn to look at her he walked out while he slam the door close. She burst into tears.
“Now our plan went successful , how long is Diana going to be jailed?”Nicholas asked tiana they both sat in their usual spot.
“For as long as derek hates her and want a divorce from her”she said happily, Nicholas frowned.
“What? Don’t tell me that she is going to stay in jail for a long period of time”.
“Well maybe, “.
“Aren’t you her twin sister anymore? Why are you acting as if you are enemy”he yell at her.
“Hey, stop being so naive, if you keep freaking out then our plans won’t work so Just relax okey”she said.
“This was our plan to poison granny and then implicate Diana while Derek gets upset so he would hate her and get her a divorce”he said as he look her straight in the eye, tiana roll her eyes.
“Why are you repeating them to me?”
“I Just want to know if you migh have forgotten our plans” she did not reply while she sip from her juice Nicholas frowned when he noticed that tiana might be playing him for a fool “Diana has to be release latest tomorrow, or else I might do something crazy”he stood up and left, tiana laughed
“You can’t do anything you fool”.
Derek went into the ward and found granny awake, he smiled.
“Hey granny, how are you?”he sat next to her on the bed then caress her chin, granny smiled to .
“I’m Fine but a bit dizzy”she told him then look around “where is Diana?”
He paused then took her hand gently.
“Granny. …Diana was the one that posion you “he said .
“What??….it’s a lie , I don’t believe you” “it’s the truth granny, she got arrested this morning”he told her granny angrily to her hands away from him
“Wil you stop talking rubbish Derek, Diana can never do that, I trust her”she barked at him which cause Derek to look at her in confusion.
“I know she can’t do it” “but granny the her finger print are on the glass cup which you use to drink your wine”
“Yes she gave me the wine herself. …”
“Cctv show her putting something in your drink” granny paused for a while .
“I knew about the contract marriage you both went for, I knew you two were deceiving Me and I also play along, I saw the long between you two so I decided to bring the both of you together so you would love each other which you did, so why don’t yo trust her?”she yelled at him. Oh goodness so granny knew all this while.
Episode 49 : Diana’s Resolve
“What?you knew about it Granny?” Derek asked in surprise, Granny smiled weakly then gave him a nod.
“You know I should have given you slap for deceiving me Derek, but I let u go because if Diana, I can’t really believe you could marry her against her wish,it’s so unfair” she said giving a deadly stare ,Derek lower his head sadly,he can’t remember the last time Granny yelled at him,he is always her favourite but now it seem Diana has taken his position.
“Granny she betrayed me,she poisoned you and tried to harm u because of my mistake and I can’t take that,I don’t trust her anymore” Derek said without looking her eyes,
“I don’t care, I want her release as soon as possible”.
“I’m sorry I can’t grant your wish” he stood up from the bed,she frown harder at him.
“Really Derek? Are you for real?”
“Yes Granny” he said stubbornly.
“Then leave,I won’t talk to you until she is been released” she said then turned her back against him,Derek stared at her in disbelief, really?she is not going to talk to him?
“Granny….”
“Go away, I don’t want to talk to u,please don’t stress me” she mutter, Derek let out a sigh then left.
Diana hold Gloria hands as tears came out of her eyes, she had come to visit her at the station.
“This is so unfair Diana, I can’t believe Derek really arrest you” Gloria said, Diana wiped like a baby .
“I thought he love me,but no he do not love me,if he does then he had to trust me,why would do think of poisoning Granny” Diana said sadly. Gloria looked at Diana play pitifully then scanned around the police station.
“What about you family ?have they come to see you”.
“My mom and dad came but tiana haven’t showed up yet” Diana replied while she sniffed her tears.
“What about Nicholas” Gloria asked.
“No he haven’t show up either”.
Gloria scoffed then let out a small smile “those two betrayer” Gloria mutter,Diana stared at her confusedly.
“What do u mean” she asked.
“Diana,the reason why you are in this mess is because of your too much of trust, I warmed you but you never listen” Gloria said with a frown on her face.
“I.. I don’t get you Gloria, what are you trying to say?”
“You sister and Nicholas are the one behind your problem” Gloria whispers, Diana frown as she withdraw her hands from her
“Gloria please explain to me clearly”.
Gloria smiled then brought out her phone from her bag the gave it to Diana to watch a video on her phone, Diana watched the video in disbelief,it was them!it was Nicholas and tiana all along! She look at how they were both in the kitchen putting something in the same drink she gave to Granny at night, tears came out freely from her eyes.
“I can’t believe this…”
“Those fool did it and now you are paying for their sins,I warned you about tiana but you were blinded by the silly trust you had for her” Gloria said as she took back her phone,Diana was said quite she was Short of word “I only took this video when I was just taking in the beauty of the house and then I saw how suspicious tiana and Nicholas was behaving that night,I was not comfortable so I followed them then behold, I saw their evil plan” global said “we need to show thus video to Derek”.
“No don’t” Diana said which startled Gloria.
“Why”
“I…. I don’t care if he does not trust me,I don’t care if I keep suffering here” Diana said stubbornly, Gloria smiled she understand her feelings but she won’t sit and watch her best friend lock up in jail, she is not like tiana.
“You can’t stop me from showing this to Derek, I understand you still angry at him but I won’t allow you to punish yourself” Gloria said then stood up and left before Diana could think of stopping her.
Episode 50 : Derek’s Final Decision
Derek sat a in his office as he tried to distract himself with his computer, ever since he went to visit Granny at the hospital and she yelled at him got him marveled,he wonder why she really trusted Diana after what she had done, he felt really disappointed at her.
“Sir,you have a visitor” Beatrice said as she walked in.
“I’m busy, I’m not in the mood to entertain any visitor” he answered still with his eyes fixed on his computer, Beatrice hesitate a little.
“Umm… She said it’s really urgent she sees you” she said, he finally lifted his gaze at her ,she??who is that? He let out a sigh then nodded
“Let the person in” he said.
Beatrice without then came back with a lady,Derek noticed that he have seen her face at the party she must be Diana’s friend.
“Hello” she greeted him.
“Hello,who are you and how may I help you?” He asked “my name is Gloria, I’m Diana’s friend” she said he nodded gently.
“OK Gloria so how may I help you”.
“I have something very important to show you,it’s concerning the incident that happen at the party” she said he let out a little frown.
“What could be that?” He asked impatiently, she brought out her phone then showed him the same video she show Diana.
“What???” Derek stood up from his chair,his eyes were fixed on the phone, he replay the video over and over again.
“Damn it!” He cursed under his breath. Oh no!since all this while he have been doubting Diana all along, she kept on convincing him that she was innocent, she begged him but he turned deaf ears,he felt like killing himself at the moment, how stupid of him not to trust her.
“Nicholas and tiana did this,but why?” He asked .
“I can’t just tell what their motive could be Derek, but it was so wrong with of them to do what they did to Diana” Gloria said. Derek exhaled gently then frowned.
“I swear,they will pay for this,they won’t go Scott free” he said angrily.
Nicholas sat on a couch so engrossed in a phone call when he saw Derek storming into the house with a frown on his face,he wonder why he looked so angry.
To his surprise Derek was coming straight to him before he could blink his eyes he landed a hug punch on his face,Nicholas stood up with his hands covering his bleeding lips.
“Hey what was that for….” Nicholas asked, Derek gave him another punch this time around he landed on the floor heavily.
“That for the evil you did on Diana” Derek move closer to give him a punch again when some cops rushed in to hold him still,all Derek wanted to do was to have a fight with Nicholas.
“What’s going on here, why are there cops in the house?” Nicholas asked confusedly.
“Nicholas Martin’s you’re under arrest for the attempted murder of Mrs Regina Flynn” one of the cops said,Nicholas was shocked beyond words. How come he us been arrested. Have they find out the truth?
“Hey what are you saying? I did no such,stop accusing me wrongly” he yelled, Derek frown at him.
