CHAPTER 25: MISSING YOU
“You are leaving ?” Darren asked and she nodded in reply.
“Turns out a student left the school making a room vacant at the girls hostel and so Principal Fielding wants me to move into the hostel ” Ariana said.
“Woah! Just when I was getting used to you” Derek said.
“You can’t leave us strawberry addict” Donald added.
“She’s got to. The male dorm was never meant to be her dorm in the first place and it’s only right that she leaves” Darren said which got her looking at him.
“But still… Can’t she just stay here?” Donald asked.
“She can’t and it’s best you both give her space to pack her stuff, I will be in my room” Darren said going In to his room.
“I can speak to my mom” Derek offered.
“You don’t have to do that, Darren is right. It’s time I start living in the girls dorm ” she said going into her room to get just a few essentials.
Derek and Donald were still there when she got back outside.
“Since it’s the weekend tomorrow, I will come take my other stuffs” Ariana said sadly.
She gave them both a hug and left, feeling bad that Darren didn’t see her off at the last moment.
As soon as Ariana knock on the door, Bella open it, hugging her in excitement.
“Finally you are here” Bella said as she pulled Ariana in only for Susan to throw lots of flowers on her.
“Welcome” Susan said and Ariana was shock to see that they had gone through the trouble of decorating the room just for her arrival.
“Guys” she called feeling touched.
“Now we three will be staying together, let’s have fun till we grow old and grey” Susan said.
“Speaking of fun, it’s time to party” Bella said moving towards the speakers to turn it on while the three of them began to dance.
~ BOYS DORM~
Darren layed curled up on the bed thinking about Ariana.
He had heard her leaving but he couldn’t watch her leave cause it tore it heart apart.
He knew he is over reacting and that she’s just a mile stone away from him but he miss her, he miss her so much that his heart is in pain.
“Aren’t you coming to …..hey! What’s wrong?” Derek asked as he walk into his room.
“I don’t feel like talking, just leave” Darren said.
“If you love her why don’t you just tell her how you feel,you are only making things hard for yourself” Derek said.
“It’s not as easy as you think” Darren replied.
“And what’s not easy?”
“Am still coming to terms about my feelings for her and there is Kelvin who is my cousin and….”,
“But he cheated on her and she made it clear to him that she doesn’t want him back” Derek said.
“She did but some how I still don’t feel good about it. If Kelvin hadn’t ask me to help then I would never have gotten close to her and neither would I have fallen for her and besides, I don’t know if she loves me or not” Darren said.
“There’s no harm in asking”
“I would hate to hear her say no, I prefer that things for it to be like this” Darren said.
“You will end up killing yourself with thinking cause you miss her” Derek said.
“I don’t care, I would rather not have her knowing how I feel than to have her rejection ” Darren said.
“You go crazy and do your best in seducing when it comes to f**king someone and now that you are in love, you choose to be a coward” Derek said shaking his head slightly.
“Well my advice is that you hold onto her now before she’s snatch away from you”
“By who?” Darren asked suddenly.
“Some admirer. Do you think it’s only Kelvin and you who has notice Ariana beauty and charms? Well you are in for a surprise when you do find out that she’s being sought out by other guys too” Derek said.
“And are you one of them?” Darren asked.
“Of course am content with having my girlfriend, though I doubt if we will last long” Derek said thinking about Sandra.
He’s got a feeling that she’s two timing him though he hasn’t caught her red handed but when that happens, he will surely forget she exist, Derek thought.
“Are you having problems with Sandra” Darren asked noticing the angry look on his face.
“No! We aren’t having problem and I suggest you try to get every thing settled with Ariana. Forget about Kelvin and forget about getting rejected just go for it” Derek advised before leaving the room.
Darren layed on the bed thinking about Derek words.
If he holds back and keep his feelings hidden, is he doing the right thing? He thought as he pick up his phone to call her but thought other wise.
He’s not going to be clingy, he thought as he buried his face on his pillow trying to stop the urge from calling but then he sat up, picking up his phone to call.
Dialing for the third time, it kept ringing and when she finally answered it was to hear Bella voice on the phone.
“She’s busy? Okay” Darren said as Bella ended the call.
“Busy having a party? Well I won’t call or text you again. I won’t miss you either “he muttered starring at his phone.
He lay bed trying to get some sleep.
~ NEXT DAY ~ BOYS DORM
Ariana stood in her former room thinking about the time she spent there.
She had come to take the remnant of her things but now having to say goodbye to this place got her feeling sad.
And Darren, Darren hadn’t even come to see her off just like he did last night.
She turned to leave just as Darren walk into the room.
“Darren” she called a smile forming on her lips.
“Am glad you are still here” Darren said moving towards her.
“Really? I thought you were ignoring me since I…..” She stop talking when he pulled her into his arms.
“Shhhh…..all I want right now is to kiss you, you have no idea how much have miss you” he said before capturing her lips in his.
CHAPTER 26: I LOVE YOU
~ EARLIER THAT DAY ~
“Do you think those guys will be in the dorm?” Susan asked as they made their way to the dorm where they intend to help Ariana with her things.
“I don’t think so, they are often out around this time” Ariana replied.
“Why? Don’t you want to see them?” Bella ask.
“Its not that, I just thought they might be around to help” Susan said slowly.
“No! We don’t need their help, we’ve got this ourselves” Bella replied as they got to the dorm.
Ariana wasn’t paying attention to them cause her mind was on Darren, she wanted to see him, wanted to know what was running through his thoughts.
He hadn’t come to say good bye to her yesterday and that’s because he was angry.
Is he still angry at her? She thought as they wait until the door open revealing Donald.
“My strawberry addict” Donald said pulling her into a warm hug.
“I came to get my stuff” She said smiling at him as they walk further into the room.
“Sure. Though we are sad to see you leave” Donald said.
“Don’t be dramatic, she’s just a stone throw away and you can see her at school” Bella said and that got Donald gaze on her.
“Well, well , well. If it isn’t Derek little sis? You’ve grown up to be…..” He stop trying to find a befitting word for her.
“Be gorgeous. I know you don’t have to tell me” Bella said for him, rolling her eyes at him even as she made her way to Ariana room.
Donald stood starring at the way her well moulded @ss kept shaking even as she went into Ariana room and out of his sight.
“I was going to say well endowed” Donald said starring at Ariana and Susan.
“Bella is gonna cut off your tongue if she hears you saying that, so just leave it at her being Gorgeous” Susan said before going into the room with Ariana.
“To me she’s well endowed” Donald smiled as the thought of Bella @ss came back to his head and wanting to see more of it.
He went into the room to join them in packing.
~ HOTEL ~
“Why exactly are we here?” Darren ask as he and Derek walk into one of the hotel own by Donald family.
“I will tell you about it when we get to the room” Derek said as he went to collect his card room from the receptionist.
As soon as they got to the room,Derek pulled off his bag pack pulling out a binocular.
“What are you going to use that for?” Darren asked.
“To spy on someone” Derek said moving the window blind a bit before looking at the other hotel.
“Who?” Darren ask as he came to join him in their room.
“Sandra” he answered just as he saw Sandra getting into the room in the other building.
“Don’t tell me that she’s…..”.
“Yes, I got an info from one of my source that she’s going to see her lover today and that they will be meeting each other in the opposite hotel, so I got Donald getting us a room here” Derek said.
“Have thought Sandra to be a lot of things but never a cheat. I thought you two deeply love each other” Darren said.
“Seems like I was the only one in love with her. Despite Bella warning about her, I never payed heed to my sister and instead I kept thinking Sandra the best but if it turns out true that She’s cheating on me then have been such a fool” Derek said slowly just as Darren came to his side.
“Let’s just wait and see” Darren muttered.
~ BACK AT THE DORM ~
“By the way where is Derek and Darren?” Susan asked which got Ariana listening.
She has been meaning to ask but not wanting anyone to catch onto her, she had chose to keep shut.
“They are out spying” Donald replied his gaze on Bella who was busy packing some books.
“Spying? On who?” Ariana asked.
“On Derek girlfriend. Turns out she’s cheating on him and so he went to catch her red handed along with Darren” Donald explained.
“Serves him right! I told him numerous times that Sandra is a slut but he ignored me” Bella said suddenly.
“If it turns out to be true then you should be there for your brother” Ariana said.
“Be there my ass and he would rather be alone than to let someone else see his pain” Bella said.
“You are too cruel to your brother ” Susan said.
“It’s not being cruel, it’s the way we love each other. I will take this books to the dorm” Bella said walking past Donald who was starring at her
She was almost at the stairs when Someone took the case which had the books from her.
“What are you doing?” Bella asked.
“Helping” he answered.
“Why?”Bella asked.
“Cause I want to” he replied.
“I don’t get it? You left Ariana and Susan alone who had much work to do and came to me. What are you really after?” Bella asked.
That sexy @ss of yours, Donald thought within before shaking off the thought.
“Nothing, I just want to help” he said.
“Well I don’t want your help. I never liked you and I don’t think I ever will not even as friends. So give that back” Bella said.
“Why? Why don’t you like me?” Donald ask.
“It’s obvious, your playboy ways is known around and a girl you are seen talking to always end up in your bed ” Bella said with distaste.
“But you aren’t in my bed” he said.
“And that will never…..”
“Never say never my dearest and besides am willing to quit my playboy act if that will earn me your friend ship, so stop being grumpy to me ” he said walking past her with the case still hand while a confused Bella followed him.
~HOTEL ~
“She’s going to answer the door” Derek who had been watching the next hotel with his binocular said.
“Who is she with?” Darren asked as the binocular drop from Derek hand.
“Who is her lover?” Darren asked.
“Why don’t you have a look yourself” Derek said giving him the binocular and when Darren look through it, it was to see Sandra kissing a guy he knew so well.
“I can’t believe this, Kelvin is Sandra lover'” Darren muttered starring at Derek.
As soon as they got back to school, Darren was heading to the girls dorm when he saw Donald and Bella leaving the boys dorm.
“Where’s Ariana?” He asked.
“In the dorm” Donald answered and before Donald could say anything else, he ran up the stairs heading past Susan who was just getting off the stairs.
He got to the dorm to see Ariana about to leave.
“Darren” she called a smile forming on her lips.
“Am glad you are still here” Darren said as he walk towards her.
“Really? I thought you were ignoring me since I…..” She stop talking when he pulled her into his arms.
“Shhhh…..all I want right now is to kiss you, you have no idea how much have miss you” he said before capturing her lips in his.
Their lips was swollen when Darren pulled free to stare at her.
“Darren ” she called confusion on her face.
Now that he has seen that Kelvin will never change, it’s time to stop thinking about Kelvin and think about what makes him happy which is being with Ariana.
“I love you. I love you Ariana, so damn much” he confessed.
CHAPTER 27 (Semi Final): THEIR PLOT
“Are you really sure about your feelings, you aren’t just saying this to me to stop me from leaving right?”Ariana asked still wrap in his arms.
“I am, I love you like crazy. At first I only agreed to help Kelvin win back your heart due to him donating one of his kidneys to me, I wanted to pay him back but then I ended up falling for you. I love you Ariana” he said kissing her again and she cling to him like he is life itself.
“Tell me, do you feel the same? Do you love me as much as I love you cause even if you don’t, I intend to pursue you until you do” Darren said while she let a soft chuckle.
“You don’t have to go that far cause I also feel the same way, I love you so much Darren” she confessed and that got him lifting her up before spinning her around.
She was still laughing when he gently set her on her feet.
“I love you Ariana, don’t ever doubt that” Darren said and she nodded in reply.
“And there is some thing I must tell you” Darren said looking serious.
“What’s it?” She asked while he did a brief explaining of what they saw at the hotel.
“I knew he could never change and am glad that you caught him red handed” Ariana said referring to Kelvin.
“But what am worried about now is Derek, he truly loved Sandra and seeing her cheating on him with Kelvin must be devastating ” Ariana added.
“He did look a bit shaken up but I hope he can overcome it ” Darren replied.
“Why don’t we go and look for him?” Ariana suggested and hand in hand they left the room together.
Derek sat in an empty room feeling like shit and blaming himself for having fell for Sandra when Susan walk into the room.
“Feeling depressed ?” Susan asked as he look up at her.
“I don’t feel like talking to you, so leave” Derek said only for her to throw a book which landed on his head.
“Hey!”
“You fool! Instead of being this way, you should show that slut that you are fine without her and that just as you don’t mean a thing to her, she also doesn’t mean a thing to you” Susan said.
“And how do I do that, I feel like shit and hate myself. Everyone told me that she isn’t good but I payed deaf ears to them”
“First of all, you’ve got to get off that seat and walk out looking unbothered, show Sandra that she doesn’t mean a thing to you and always keep it in mind that Sandra is a thing of the past, it will work that way” Susan said.
“And who the hell are you to determine if am a thing of the past” Sandra ask even as she walk into the room eyeing Susan before going to seat beside Derek.
“Babe, have missed you” Susan said taking hold of his hand but he pulled away.
“What’s wrong ?” Sandra asked starring up at Derek.
“Why don’t you go and tell your lover that” Derek said turning to leave but Sandra held him back.
“What do you mean lover? Have got no lover” Sandra denied nervously.
“Save us the talk Sandra. You might think am a fool but am not and so I suggest you leave me alone before I do something we will both regret”
“But you’ve got to tell me what I did wrong” Sandra said feigning ignorance.
“The fact that you are a cheap whore who f**ks Darren cousin is what you did” Susan said moving towards them.
“Can you get out of here, I want to talk to my boyfriend” Sandra demanded.
“Boyfriend? Derek is no longer your boyfriend” Susan answered with confidence.
“And who gave you the right to…..”
“You once ask who am I to determine if you are a thing of the past?” Susan asked taking hold of Derek hand while Derek stared at her.
“Well am his girlfriend, his current one and don’t worry, I won’t ever dare cheat on him cause I so much love him” Susan said kissing Derek on the cheeks while hoping he would play along.
“Is this true?” Sandra asked Derek.
“Do you want another version or are you too dumb to understand what she said?” Derek replied kissing Susan hand which was in his.
“You can’t do this to me! I love you” Sandra said.
“Say that to Kelvin or some other fool” Derek replied as he walk out of the room with Susan.
When they were out of sight, Susan pulled her hand out of his.
“Am sorry, I just couldn’t hold back and I…..”
“It’s fine, I should be the one thanking you” Derek said which got her looking at him.
“Thanks fake girlfriend” He said smiling down at her before walking off.
Susan who felt her skip at seeing his smile also grinned foolishly before following him.
“So what are you going to do now” Felicity asked Sandra who was seated on the chair looking more angry than hurt.
“I have to find a way to get my man back” Sandra said.
“After cheating on him?” Belinda asked.
“I was out of my mind and was tempted but am back to my senses now and I want Derek more than ever” Sandra said.
“Just let him be, it’s over between you” Felicity said.
“How can you say that to me? You never stopped pursing Darren when he pushed you away numerous times” Sandra said.
“That’s all in the past now. From now on I intend on living my life to the fullest, loving myself more than anyone” Felicity said.
“I echo that” Belinda said from the corner she stood.
“What? Don’t tell me Donald dumped you too?” Sandra asked.
“He didn’t but am no longer interested in him” Belinda said.
“Gosh! So you two don’t plan on helping me?”Sandra asked.
“Why don’t you just let Derek be? Start afresh and …”.
“No! I love Derek and I won’t let him go, if you two aren’t going to help then you can both F**k off” Sandra said storming out of the room and heading to the person she knew would help.
She got to Kelvin Dorm and after knocking multiple of times, Kelvin open the door.
“What are you doing here?” Kelvin asked starring around them before pulling her in.
“We’ve been caught” Sandra said.
“What?”
“We’ve been caught and my boyfriend knows and am sure Darren knows too “
“God! But we were extra careful” Kelvin said.
“We were but not as careful as we could, we have been caught and we’ve got to do some thing cause I can’t lose my Derek” Sandra said.
“If Ariana knows about it then am screwed too” Kelvin said looking perplexed.
“You are but if we think of a plan then it will all work in our favour? What do you think?” Sandra asked.
“Let’s do it then” Kelvin said which got her.
CHAPTER 28 (Final): HIS PRECIOUS ARIANA
~A WEEK LATER ~
Ariana was heading to the cafeteria to join the others when she felt people eyes on her.
It’s not like this is the first time they all keep starring at her, she thought as she got to the cafeteria.
“Your here” Bella said.
“Sorry I took so long ” Ariana answered starring around them.
“What’s bothering you?” Susan asked bitting into her steak.
“The other students keep starring at me, it’s been going on for a while now. If they have a problem with me then they should spill it instead of always starring” Ariana replied.
“What do you expect, you will be the centre of attraction cause you are dating Darren” Bella said.
“Think about it? It’s been a week since we all found out about you two dating and they’ve been starring at you ever since right?” Susan said which got Ariana nodding.
“To everyone here, Darren is their number one fan and you stole him from them ” Bella added.
“That makes no sense, Darren didn’t ask them to be his fans, so they shouldn’t pester him” Ariana said.
“Hmmm….jealousy” Bella and Susan said together before bursting into laughter.
“Stop making fun of me” Ariana said.
“Fine. So are you going to the party tonight?” Bella asked.
“Of course! It’s her boyfriend birthday party after all” Susan said as they both cooed again.
“Stop teasing me” Ariana said just as she got a text from Darren.
★HAVE SENT YOU A DRESS, WEAR IT AND COME TO THE PARTY, I WILL BE
WAITING ★ she read his text and smiled gently.
“Is that from Darren ? Is he still at home?” Bella asked and she nodded.
“He has to prepare for the party after all he’s the birthday boy” Ariana replied.
“And you are the birthday boy girlfriend” Susan said teasing her again.
“Eat before I break the head of you both”
~DARREN MANSION~
As soon as the stylist who did Darren hair left, Kelvin walked into the room.
“Having fun with my girl?” Kelvin asked.
“Your girl? I hope you aren’t referring to my girl” Darren asked.
“You’ve gotten more pompous ever since you started dating Ariana” Kelvin said looking angry.
“Should I look like sad and unhappy? I can’t cause Ariana makes me happy. You lost your chance Kelvin, so just stop it”
“Ariana loves me and I will get her back and not even you or….”
“Even if you do get her back, do you think it will be the same as before? Do you think things will go back to being the way it was? Wake up Kelvin, Ariana doesn’t love you. It’s time you let her go and try to be happy too. It’s my last advice to you” Darren said before leaving the room.
Kelvin was still thinking about what Darren said last when he got a call from Sandra.
“So we do it tonight, don’t make any mistakes okay” Sandra said before ending the call.
If their plan succeed tonight then Ariana will surely be his and Darren would end up hating her for good.
~ PARTY ~
While Bella and Donald went off to dance and Susan busy acting as Derek girlfriend just to get Sandra away and Darren busy talking to some guest of his parents, Ariana was left on her own.
She was still sipping her juice when Sandra approached her.
“Feeling bored?” Sandra asked putting a fresh glass of juice in front of her.
“Just go away if you are going to annoy me” Ariana said.
“Am not here to annoy you, infact I came to apologise” Sandra said which got Ariana starring at her.
“What do you mean?”
“I realise that am the one at fault for everything and having asked Derek and Darren for forgiveness, I came to ask you since you are the last person. Will you forgive me for every bad thing I have done to you in the past” Sandra asked.
“I really don’t….”
“Please Ariana, I know it might seem sudden to you but am really sorry , forgive me ” Sandra said looking sincere with her apology and not wanting to seem like a snub, Ariana forgave her.
“Am glad you’ve forgiven me. Let’s drink to this” Sandra suggested with the juice she brought.
Reluctantly Ariana clink her glass to Sandra’s and gulp down the whole liquid.
While Sandra talked on, Ariana began feeling strange. She felt fuzzy and dizzy.
“Are you okay? Ariana you look a bit strange, let me take you some where to lie down a bit” Sandra said pulling her weak body off.
She wanted to tell her to stop but she couldn’t say a thing.
As soon as Ariana was inside the house, Kelvin was there waiting and he carried Ariana limp body in his arms even as he and Sandra made their way upstairs
When they got to his room, he layed the sleeping Ariana on the bed starring down at her.
“What are you waiting for? Get rid of your clothes while I record it” Sandra said posed with her phone just as Kelvin began to unbutton his shirt.
Darren had finish talking to one of his mother friends and was searching around for Ariana when Felicity came to him looking worried.
“You’ve got to come with me” Felicity said.
“Why?”
“Ariana is in danger, I saw Sandra and Kelvin taking her to the room upstairs” Felicity said and immediately Darren dashed off.
Bella, Derek, Donald and Susan who had seen Darren followed him.
Darren got to the room only to see Ariana on the bed with Kelvin sitting by the end of it and Sandra curled up on the floor crying.
“What the hell is going on?” Darren yelled at them.
“I can’t do it ” Kelvin murmured just as the others ran into the room.
“You jerk! All you have to do is just to have sex with her while I record you two! If I had known you were going to be a coward, I would never have ask for your help” Sandra yelled at him.
“I can’t do it Darren and am sorry. You are right, even if I do all this, Ari’s love can never be mine again cause it’s now yours. So be sure to take care and cherish her, don’t be a fool like me who threw away a good thing for a bad one” He said starring at Sandra who was glaring at him.
“She’s only sedated, she will wake up soon” Kelvin said moving towards Sandra to pull her up.
“If you don’t want them to press charges on you, then I suggest you leave quietly with me. Derek is lost to you and it’s time you accept that” Kelvin said which calm Sandra down a bit.
“Sorry for creating this problem and please apologise to Ariana on my behalf” Kelvin said walking out of the room with the crying Sandra with him.
Darren who had thought some thing bad had happened to Ariana let out a relieved sigh before going towards her sleeping form on the bed.
“It’s all over now” he muttered gently touching her cheeks.
~NEXT DAY ~
Ariana open her eyes only to find herself in a room which was unfamiliar to her and if it hadn’t been for Darren who was sleeping soundly beside her, she would have thought that she was kidnapped.
She must have alerted him because he woke up.
“What happen?” She asked and he ended up explaining everything to her.
“I can’t believe they were both going to do that” Ariana said even as Darren pulled her into his arms.
“Let’s just be glad that nothing happened and that Kelvin came back to his senses, he told me to apologise to you on his behalf” Darren said.
“He should do that himself ” She replied scoffing.
“He will, he just isn’t prepared to face you” Darren said.
“Am not scary and once he is ready to apologise himself, I will forgive him ” Ariana said which earned her a smile from him.
“You and your compassionate heart” Darren said.
“A heart which belongs to you” Ariana said chuckling softly.
“I missed your birthday party, brief me a bit” she said and he told her how it went.
Donald and Bella had left together and he is pretty much sure that they went back home to Donald home to get some time alone and Derek took Susan back to school but he’s sure that something will soon occur between those two.
“That’s good. I like the fact that both of my friends ended up with yours” Ariana said still in his arms.
“And am glad that we ended up with each other. Don’t ever leave me ” Darren said.
“You are my heartbeat, how can you think that I will leave you ?” She asked slowly.
“Then am glad to know that. You are precious to me Ariana and everyday am glad that you came into my life” he said.
“Really?”
“Yes. If you hadn’t I will still be the notorious devil I was in the past, you changed me my dearest and am glad. So always stay by my side cause I never wanna lose you” he said In a seductive tone.
“I will forever stay by your side. I won’t ever leave you Darren cause I love you so much” she said.
“And I do too my Precious Ariana, I really do” he said kissing her and a while later they were both oblivious to the maid knocking on the door cause they were both busy making sweet passionate love to each other.
