Chapter 49 & 50 : The Road to the Finals
~SEOUL HOSPITAL
The doctors connected wires to her body with the machine still beeping fast as they kept trying their best to keep her alive.
The machine drew a long line and finally stopped beeping while her mum passed out.
Another commotion to place outside the ward, few nurses rushed to the scene and took her to another ward to revive her.
Freddie just stood like a statue as he stared at the machine that just stopped beeping, it was like time froze because no one was moving.
The doctor sighed and turned to a nurse holding a record book while another nurse covered her with a white cloth.
“Death date 12th May, 2022”. He said and Freddie’s heart shredded into tiny pieces.
He rushed to the ward but the doctor held him back with all the strength in him.
“She is dead!”. The doctor said and he laughs dryly.
“She is not dead! To hell with you and your f*cking hospital!!!!!”. He screamed and threw his hands off with great force.
He pulled the cloth off her hardly and grabbed the shocking machine. He connected it back to her body with his eyes filled with tears.
He kept slamming it hard on her body trying to shock her back to life while the nurses tried pulling him back but no one succeeded. The rest just stood outside watching him because nothing can be done to bring him out of the ward.
“You can’t die!!!!!”. He screamed and slammed it hard on her again.
“Freddie! She is dead!!!!”. Serenity yelled she was also in tears.
“F*ck you all!!!!!”. He yelled not planning to give up soon.
He threw the machine away when he saw no changes and broke down in tears again hugging her tight to himself.
“This is so heartbreaking”. Rudy muttered and blinked back his tears.
He took his eyes off the scene and leaned on the wall, his mind went to Paulina and he just sighed shutting his eyes tight.
“C’mon man, she is dead”. Valentino said trying to pull him off.
“Get the f*ck off me!!!!”. He screamed throwing his hands off. Her body still wrapped in his arms.
The doctor was about leaving the ward when they heard the machine beep, he turned sharply and rushed to the bed. Freddie who was unaware of what’s going on just glared at the doctor.
He grabbed her hand, checked her pulse and he smiled.
“It’s such a miracle young man”. He said to Freddie and pointed at the machine.
His mouth fell wide open as he stared at the machine with mixed emotions. He turned and placed a lingering kiss on her forehead. He hugged her tight and broke down for the fourth time.
The others sighed in relief while the nurses took over, Freddie stepped back with tears in his eyes, staring at Winnie passionately.
They did the needful and left the ward, everyone sighed out in relief. Freddie sat in the ward staring at her not ready to come out anytime soon.
“He needs his space, let’s come back”. Jude said and they left after giving them a last glance.
“You almost left me even when I haven’t told you how much I love you. You must never leave me or I’d just kill myself and join you wherever you are”. He cried holding her hands tight.
“It’s taking forever for you to wake up and I promise to send whosever that did this to jail. Please just wake up and promise you won’t ever leave me again”. He sniffed kissing the back of her hand.
~BOBBY’S MANSION
“Are you sure this would work?”. Mrs Bobby asked.
“Trust me! I’m never giving up this seat for anyone!!!”. He snapped and she smiled.
He scrolled through his laptop and found a video, he smiled and showed it to his wife.
“I guess we should wait till the competition ends. Those freaking celebrities can go extra miles. You know we’d also get credit from it, so let’s just wait”. He said and she smiled.
The bell rang and she stood up to get it, she opens the door revealing The Paris and she froze.
“Who are you and what do you want?”. She asked.
“Now you don’t remember us”. Mrs Paris chuckled.
“What the f*ck are you even saying?”. She asked and her husband stood behind her.
“Who are they?”. He asked pointed at them like they are one piece of trash.
“No one special”. She replied and he smiled.
“See…. You’re not invited. See ya”. He said and shut the door on their faces.
They both burst into laughter almost rolling on the floor.
“That was dumb!”. Mr Paris said still laughing.
“Honestly, they would make huge sales if they go into movie”. Mrs Paris said.
“Guess they have another plan, wait till I detect it and use it against you”. Mr Paris muttered and got a hold of his laughing wife.
“Let’s go home dummie”. He said dragging her along with him.
5PM~GREY’S MANSION
“I knew it was that ungrateful son of mine!!! He even dares to blacklist my number”. He said between gritted teeth.
“He wouldn’t have detected this himself, he isn’t smart to that level”. He muttered rubbing his imaginary beards.
“He is ready to see your downfall dummy!”. His subconscious said and he sighed.
“He wouldn’t have used his senses up to the level of going to search for the files. Or could it be someone is behind…. Wait”. He said and quickly brought his phone.
A picture of a woman’s side view was sent to him earlier today, though her face isn’t really clear in the picture.
He zoomed the picture and the phone dropped immediately from his hand with a huge lump in his throat.
6PM~PARIS MANSION
~DWIGHT’S ROOM
Caitlyn and Valentino sat on the bed with her head on his shoulder, he just sighed for the twelfth time.
“Promise me you won’t get mad at me when you find out”. Caitlyn suddenly said and he frowned.
“What are you saying?”. He asked.
She bit her lips hard not knowing if she is to talk or not. She just sighed and played with her fingers.
“Nevermind, I was just saying trash”. She said but deep down she is scared as hell.
“You can talk to me anytime about anything bothering you”. He said and she nod while he smiled.
“I…..”.
“Kiss me”. He interrupted, she raised her head sharply and he gave her a questioning look.
He pulled her onto his laps, earning a loud gasp from her. He tucked her hair behind her ear and she leaned to peck his lips. He frowned and she leaned closer again but he took over immediately, pulling her closer by the waist, she wrapped her hands around his neck shutting her eyes tight, responding to the sweet kiss.
The kiss gradually became hot with their tongues curling up against themselves. Her hands went straight to his hair, he lost his senses and broke the kiss burying his face in her neck. He sucked on a spot while she released a soft moan breathing heavily.
He removed his lips from her neck and smiled, pecking her wet lips.
“Not going home tonight?”. He asked and she nod.
“No one is at home”. She replied and he shinned hIs teeth.
“Let’s read tonight then, exam is around the corner”. He said and she frowned.
“I hate reading”. She pouted.
“Reasons why you have nothing in your head. I’d help you understand all subject with my kiss, I’m a naughty teacher”. He winked and pulled out the chair for her to seat, she did and he also took his seat.
~ROBBINS MANSION
Jude barged into Ronnie’s room and threw the envelope at him.
“Let me call you back”. He said and hanged up.
“What….”
“Where did you get this from? You think you can fool me by giving me this right?”. Jude yelled and he chuckled.
“You know what? Lois never loved you! She has always been a b!tch in disguise, sleeping around with other men as you’ve seen in the envelope!!”. Ronnie said trying to sound cool but Jude chuckled dryly.
“She loves me!!!! And I can swear on my life for that!!!!!!!”. Jude screamed.
“I happened to be there that night, I wasn’t with her because she is way out of my league, she stole a gangster’s money after sleeping with him but nemesis caught up with her and she was killed by his men!! I wonder if she used a love portion on you because it’s obvious you’re blindly and stupidly in love with the girl that just loves you for your money!!!”. Ronnie spat and tears trolled down his face.
“You liar!!!!!”. Jude screamed and rushed to punch him but he held his fist and threw it down.
“Check out her phone at her place and confirm the truth and stop this madness all because of girl that doesn’t deserve this. Don’t ask me how I got to know all this because I had to dig into this matter so you would stop calling me names and blaming me for her death when I did nothing!”. Ronnie shouted at him.
Jude ran out of his room in tears while he just sighed and laid on his bed
6:50PM~HUDSON’S MANSION
Daphne sighed out loud as she got to the kitchen but she met Mrs Hudson there.
“Oh Daphne, it’s a good thing you’re here. Help me out with those”. She said pointing at a tray of unchopped veggies.
She smiled awkwardly and moved closer to it. She picked up the knife and just divided them into two. Mrs Hudson gasped and pulled the tray from her.
“You can’t cook?”. She asked and Daphne nodded innocently.
“Gosh! You’re a lady and you should know how to cook. Dont worry, I’d teach you”. She winked and Daphne smiled.
“I’m the best chef in the world”. She giggled and resumed cooking while Daphne just watched her.
Somehow, she feels connected and loved, the love her parents never showed her, a woman that doesn’t even know her is showing her 10 times of it.
“Where then did Dwight get this scary side from?”. She wondered and just sighed.
Dinner was done and few minutes later and she was told to fetch Dwight.
She took in a deep breath before knocking on his door.
He opened the door weakly and she squeezed her face.
“What’s wrong with you?”. She asked touching his forehead which was so hot. Before she could get inside his room, he collapsed on her and they both fell hard on the floor with his hands on her b*obs.
Chapter 51 & 52 : Brandon’s Confession

She gasped and pushed him off, she raised her hand to slap him but discovered he isn’t moving.
“He passed out!!”. She screamed in her head.
She kicked his leg and he still didn’t move, she hurriedly bent to check if he’s still breathing, she sighed when she saw his chest rise and fall.
“Dap…..”. The rest of her words got stuck in her throat when she saw Dwight on the floor.
“What’s wrong with him?”. She questioned rushing to her son.
“I don’t know, he just collapsed”. Daphne replied and with the help of the maids, he was taken to the car and she drove straight to the hospital.
ONE WEEK LATER
~THE PRESIDENT’S VILLA
“Are you sure you are fine?”. Valentino asked Brandon for the the twentieth time.
“I’d try not to mess up and make you all proud”. Brandon just said and he nod.
“I trust you dude”. He said tapping his shoulder.
They both left the house heading to school with Brandon sighing at every given chance.
Daphne still kept ignoring him but was caught on several occasions staring at him. He completely changed his look, thinking it would make her notice him. It did work but to him, he thought it was a wrong advise from Freddie.
9AM~CRYSTAL HIGH
The competing students assembled at the parking lot ready to move into the waiting bus with their school name boldly and beautifully written on it.
“Remember all you’ve been told, don’t try to overdo yourselves but put in your best”. Mr Park said and they all nod.
“You can choose to say few words to your friends counting on you”. Mr Rogers said and move aside with Mr Park.
“Make only me proud and don’t let those f*ols stare at what’s mine”. Valentino said jealously.
“I promise”. Caitlyn replied and pecked his lips.
“More”. He frowned and she moved away from him but he grabbed her hand and pulled her to the back of the bus and claimed her lips.
He broke it shortly and smiled arranging her hair.
“That’s a good luck kiss, trust me”. He winked and she just chuckled.
“I have a gift for you only if you make me proud and if you don’t, I still have a gift for you”. He whispered seductively and she instantly became wet.

They went back to join the others who were gisting.
“I promise to ask you out when I return, it’s a surprise”. Phillip said to Serenity and she burst into laughter.
“It’s not a surprise anymore dummy, you told me already”. She laughed and he rolled his eyes.
“Pretend you didn’t hear what I said because we’d surely win”. He said boldly and she pecked his lips.

“I hope we do”. He replied and smiled again before walking away.
She just sighed and went to meet Laylani who was staring keenly at Freddie, who paid her no attention.
“Okay everyone, time to leave”. Mr Rogers said and they got into the bus, waving at the rest.
The bus was about moving when Ruthie rushed towards the bus and Jude frowned.
“Jude!!!!!”. Ruthie shouted
“What’s this psycho doing here?”. He wondered and he stepped down.
“Who is she?”. Valentina asked.
“What are you doing here?”. He asked ignoring Valentina’s question.
Tears formed a gathering in her eyes and she blinked it back.
“You left your phone at my place last night, you should thank your star I’m a nice person”. She said and gave him his phone.
“I didn’t realise because….”
“You are not the phony type, get a life dude”. Ruthie interrupted and he just sighed.
He turned to leave but she stopped him.
“One more thing”. She said and hugged him.
“Good luck”. She said and surprisingly he hugged her back while Valentina just left the scene almost in tears. Valentino hurriedly went after her while Jude broke the short hug.
“Thanks”. He smiled and went back into the bus. She waved at him while he smiled waving back.
The ride to the venue began and Ruthie left the school to hers, she decided to give him his phone before leaving for her school.
~VVIP GRADE
Valentina released her tears which streamed down her face freely. Valentino walked in and she didn’t bother wiping it off.
“What’s…… Oh, Jude”. He sighed and sat beside her.
“He doesn’t like you, try to get over him”. He said rubbing her back slowly.
“How do I get over him? It’s hard”. She cried harder and he pulled her into a warm embrace. She cried on his shoulder, tears almost dropped from his eyes but he stayed cool.
“I understand but you have to, seems he likes that girl. You don’t have a place in his heart, you shouldn’t let this lead to obsession”. He said and he hiccupped.
“It’s hard Tino, it’s very hard to just let go of him”. She cried tightening the hug.
“I’d confess my feelings to….”.
“So what happens when he rejects you?”. He asked cutting her short.
“Maybe I’d be able to get over him”. She replied and he just sighed.
“Don’t do it because the pain will be three times worse than this. I’d help you forget about him, trust me”. He said and kissed her hair.
~RED ARENA
The arena is known as the largest and biggest arena in Korea, the arena that an ordinary citizen can’t get into. The arena that marks a biggest achievement in your life once you step your foot into as an ordinary citizen.
The large hall was filled with people from various country across the world.
Who would want to miss such show?
The competition schools were given a room each to prepare before they are called up stage. Celebrities like BTS, Stray kids, Black pink, New Jeans, IVE, Seventeen, Astro, Red velvet and many more were all present to perform and 7 judges were selected for this mighty competition.
The Judges are; RM, Lisa, Bang Chan, Haerin, Sunghoon, Yeri, Cha eun woo.
The previous years weren’t this mighty but some upgrades were added to it this year and now moved to the largest arena.
~ROOM 4
“You should all calm your nerves and take in deep breaths”. Mr Park said and they did.
Daphne rubbed her fingers nervously, this is her first time and she is seriously nervous.
“Babe, you’d be fine”. Caitlyn said holding her hands.
“You should all change into your costumes, that’s a door there, the boys should go in there”. Mr Park added and left with Mr Rogers.
Jude smiled as her operated his phone, it’s obvious he was texting a girl.
They all changed into their costumes with Brandon looking so hot, he changed his looks already to a bad boy style. Daphne swallowed hard as he stared at the dropping hot Brandon standing before her without sparing her a glance.
She sighed and looked away, her heart doing breathless race, Caitlyn smiled and winked at Freddie who just chuckled.
“We are the last to present”. Mr Park said coming in with their tags.
“That gives us more time to chill”. Rudy said and sat down.
He sighed when he remembered Paulina again, he hasn’t seen her for weeks now, she even quitted at the club when he went looking for her.
It was finally their turn to present and Daphne anxiety doubled but Caitlyn kept trying her best to cheer her up. They were about leaving for the stage when Brandon’s phone rang, he shivered when he saw it was his dad.
In as much as he wanted to ignore the call, he decided to pick it.
“Hi dad”. He said and he could feel a warm aura.
“Good luck son”. He said and Brandon froze. He couldn’t believe his ear, at that point all his sadness flew off and a braid smile played on his lips.
“Thank you dad. I’d make you proud like I’ve always done”. He said happily and hanged up.
He took that energy to the stage and Daphne widened her eyes in shock when she saw who the judges are.
“Good to see y’all. Who do we have here?”. RM asked.
“The contestants from Crystal High”. Rudy said into the mic and the crowd screamed.
“How do y’all feel right now?”. Cha eun woo asked and Daphne gushed.
He’s one of her favorite idol.
“Awesome!”. Marielle hurriedly said.
“Who’s song would y’all present tonight?”. Lisa asked smiling.
“Item by Stray kids, our borrowed song”. Caitlyn replied and Bang Chan smiled broadly.
“I’m rooting for y’all then, don’t let me and the while Stray kids down”. He said and blew them a kiss, the crowd let out a loud scream.
“Your composed song?”. Sunghoon asked.
“Er….. It’s a surprise”. Freddie replied and Haerin giggled.
“Oh, I love surprises”. She screamed into the mic and the crowd burst into laughter.
“Take us away”. Yeri said and the light to the stage went off.
“Wow!”. Lisa exclaimed.
It came on again with everyone on the floor, red lights dancing around the stage.
Rudy started with a cool key that kept everyone silent. They all jumped up and did a quick rhyming step.
Phillip joined him and then the rest joined singing and harmonizing beautifully.
“Oh my chest”. Bang Chan said dramatically as he watched them present their song.
They ended the song and began with their song. They formed a big circle with Daphne and Brandon in the middle.
Marielle started singing this time around, trying to sound good but no screams.
Caitlyn joined, then Freddie.
Then Rudy, then Laylani.
Then Phillip, then Jude, then Reece.
They scattered the circle and everyone began walking in zigzags. They stopped singing and the fast beat started, they all danced rhythmically to the beat with Brandon coming in.
Upon hearing his voice, RM and Yeri jumped up clapping while the crowd burst out in loud screams. Daphne and Caitlyn whined their waist perfectly while Rudy and Jude stood behind them, holding their waists firmly.
The music went down and Daphne began, singing melodically with her sweet tiny voice. The screams tripled and she went on a crazy high pitch and Brandon joined harmonizing with her.
5 of the judges stood to their feet cheering them. The final lap was hectic as they all sang and danced breathlessly, they finally ended with the a sweet pose.
The whole crowd stood to their feet screaming and waving the wavable up in the air. They bowed and the judges waited for the screams to die down which did after few minutes.
“I’m not gonna lie, this is the best performance ever but there is a critic, the blondie or should I say brunette?”. Lisa said pointing at Marielle who was panicking.
“You did your best but your movement isn’t stable, just to work on your stage balance”. Lisa said smiling while she nod.
“I have nothing to say other than, your performance was amazing”. RM said giving them a thumbs up.
“You know, I rooted for y’all and you made my heart scream “Damn!!!!” That was fire”. Bang Chan said and blew them another kiss.
Every other judges gave their review till it got to Cha eun woo.
“I just want that girl”. He said pointing at Daphne and she almost screamed.
Did her idol just noticed her?
“Anyways, I’m impressed and it’s the best performance to me”. He said and the crowd screamed again.
“Thank you”. They chorused and left the stage happily.
“Congratulations guys”. Mr Rogers said and they did a group hug with Mr Park.
“Let’s wait for the results”. He said and they sat down.
Daphne texted Brandon and left for the other room, he stood up immediately and also left for the room while the others exchanged glance and smiled.
“Hi”. She said nervously bitting her lower lips but he said nothing.
“I’m sorry”. She mouthed.
“For?”. He asked.
“I don’t know…… I messed up and I’m deeply sorry”. She said and he frowned.
“Talk to me when you know what you’re sorry for”. He said and left the room. She scattered her hair in frustration as she heard the judges instructing every contestants to the back stage.
She left and joined the others, she took a quick glance at Brandon who wasn’t looking at her. She sighed and they left the room.
“We’d just be quick about this then”. Lisa said into the wireless mic.
“As y’all know, it has always been two winners but this time around, it’s just one lucky winner”. She said and she could fell the tension coming from the audience.
“Yeah…. Just one winner and 10 grand awards for the best students”. She added smiling.
“The winner for this year’s competition goes to……”. Bang Chan said looking around.
“Seems I need to make use of my glasses”. He said putting on his glasses.
“Much better, so the winner is no other school than Crystal High”. He screamed and the crowd screamed jumping to their feet. They rushed to the stage and a huge glass trophy was handed over to them while the jumped happily on the stage.
Daphne unknowingly hugged Brandon who just smiled without hugging her.
“How do y’all feel right now?”. Yeri asked.
“Grateful”. Phillip said smiling widely.
“Congratulations guys, so a big shout out to who?”. Lisa asked.
“Our friends, coaches, and families”. Brandon said also smiling brightly.
“Congratulations”. The judges chorused and they left the stage.
“The 10th best singer goes to…..”
The kept calling out students till it got to the first.
“With a standing ovation and uplifting screams, jam your hands as we bring to the stage our record breaker and top best singer. It’s no other person that Daphne McKenzie, a great student of Crystal High!!!!!”. Haerin screamed and the crowd echoed their screams as well as she came to the stage with tears in her eyes.
She collected the calved golden mic and broke down in tears again.
“I don’t know what to say but a big thank you to everyone!!”. She said and the judges climbed the stage.
A group picture was taken with her in the middle and afterwards, she received handshakes from the males and hugs from the females.
It’s one of the biggest achievement ever.
She raised it up and finally left the stage, she is definitely gonna be trending on the internet.
“You did it babe!!!!!!!”. Caitlyn screamed and rushed to her.
“F*ck you!!!!”. Marielle spat and left for the room.
After all the paparazzi and all that, they finally got back to school. The school was empty because all students left already after waiting for them.
“Congrats guys. You made the school, your families, friends and yourselves proud for the fifth time”. Mr Rogers said smiling.
“Let’s not delay you guys, we’d see tomorrow, it’s getting late”. He added and left with Mr Park and the trophy.
Everyone left for their homes after bading each other farewell leaving Daphne and Brandon.
“Can I please get a ride home?”. She asked but he walked way without saying anything.
She swallowed and walked towards the gate with the trophy in her hand. A car honked beside her and she smiled, she entered and he drove off.
A car stopped roughly on the road and that made him stepped on the brake. Some guys stepped down and surrounded their car, dragging Daphne out.
“Wtf!!!!!!”. Brandon yelled and stepped down but a gun was pointed at his head.
They shot at Daphne twice and his eyes widened in great shock.
“Daphne!!!!!!!!!!”. He screamed out in horror.
Chapter 53 & 54 : The Final Showdown
“Daphne!!!!!!!!!!”. He screamed out in horror.
The boys ran back into their car and zoomed off, he crawled to meet her in the pool of her blood. Without thinking twice, he scooped her into his arms, ran off to his car and drove straight to the hospital in the craziest speed ever.
Another car got to the scene and they came down.
“Shit!!!!”. One of then said kicking the tyre hard.
They got back in and drove off.
~SEOUL HOSPITAL
Brandon paced to and fro as he impatiently awaited the doctor who has been in the emergency room for almost an hour.
Few minutes later, the doctor came out and he rushed to meet him.
“What…..”
“Luckily, the bullets didn’t hit any vital part, she is out of danger but she suffering from depression combined with malnutrition. It is slowly affecting her”. He said and Brandon frowned.
“How is that possible?”. Brandon asked.
He hasn’t really examined her this days, just because he’s is trying his best to forget about her but it seems like he’s doing the impossible.
“There are so many possibilities. You should get her parents here first thing tomorrow morning, we’d need to transfuse blood into her”. He said and Brandon sighed.
“Luckily, all this hasn’t gotten to the critical stage and you can see her now but she needs so much rest”. He said and patted his back before leaving.
Brandon rushed to the room and moved closer to her bed. He placed a soft kiss on her forehead before leaving the hospital.
NEXT MORNING
~BOBBY’S MANSION
Marielle woke up quite early for a reason only God knows why. She was about leaving the room when her phone rang out loud.
“Done?”. She asked smiling.
“We were a minute late but seems someone else is after her life as well”. The caller said and her smile brightened.
“Cool, as long as she is dead, that settles it”. She said and dropped the call.
“Guess I’m not the only one who wants her dead”. She giggled and left her room.
9AM~CRYSTAL HIGH
Brandon went straight to the meeting room where the others are waiting. He kept sighing at every given chance.
“Why are you late and where is Daphne?”. Caitlyn asked looking at the door.
“She was shot last night”. He said and they all gasped.
10:05AM~SEOUL HOSPITAL
They all rushed into her ward and met her parents there, Brandon actually threatened them.
“You all don’t have to bother, she is fine now but I really need to kill Dwight”. Brandon said between gritted teeth.
“Why?”. Jude asked but he ignored him.
The doctor came in with a worried look on his face.
“What’s going on?”. Rudy wondered.
“Their blood doesn’t match hers”. The doctor said and Brandon chuckled.
The rest opened their mouths in shock.
“You’re joking right?”. Brandon asked and he shook his head.
“To clear the curiosity, I decided to run a DNA test and the result shows negative”. He said handing the result to Brandon.
“What do you have to say about this?”. Brandon asked almost shoving the paper into their mouths.
“It’s true, we were never her parents. She was dumped by her parents or something and we were childless, so we took her in and raised her like our own daughter”. Mr McKenzie said and Brandon scoffed.
“You dare open your mouth to say you raised her like your daughter?”. Brandon asked trying to control his temper.
“We did but…..”
“You ignored her when you gave birth to your own child. Don’t ask me how I got to know because she told me”. Brandon snapped, interrupting them.
“We are sorry”. Mrs McKenzie muttered.
“This is not the time for this, let’s look for her blood match. She needs it” as fast as possible. He (doctor) said.
“Take from mine then”. Brandon said rolling his sleeves.
“You’re bloods doesn’t match”. He said and Dwight stepped in.
“You can take from mine”. Dwight said and Brandon grabbed him by the collar.
“You shouldn’t be doing this, at least not here and not now”. Phillip said stepping in between them.
Brandon let go of his collar reluctantly and looked away.
“You need to get any of your parents here then. There are some documents they would need to sign”. He said and left.
Dwight glared at Brandon before leaving the ward to call his mum.
In no time she got to the hospital and was led to the doctor’s office. She signed the necessary documents and the process began. Their blood matches and the doctor secretly carried out a test.
AN HOUR LATER
Dwight was laid beside her bed a little bit far from hers though. Brandon sat beside her bed rubbing her hand slowly.
Everyone was present in the room and the silence made it all awkward.
“Who do you think is responsible for this?”. Brandon asked her false parents.
“We have no idea”. Mrs McKenzie replied.
“This is their second attempt and they succeeded, the first attempt was at the pool. It’s clear they are after her life”. He said almost raising his voice.
Their phone dinged at the same them and they checked it out at the same time and gasped.
“Myles!!!!!”. They both said and rushed out of the ward at once.
“Can you stop touching her after ignoring her for weeks?”. Dwight said and he scoffed.
“One more word and I will make sure I feed your balls to the hyenas”. He threatened and Dwight hissed.
Caitlyn who browsed through her phone gasped showing Valentino her phone.
“We can’t let him see it”. Caitlyn whispered and he just stared at the phone in shock.
Everyone’s phone dinged and Brandon was about taking his phone, Caitlyn quickly collected it from him.
“What was that for?”. He asked.
“Nothing, you shouldn’t stress yourself further”. She said and he nod.
Everyone has a confused look on their face as they all excused themselves.
~OUTSIDE
“What the f*ck was that?”. Freddie asked.
“We also don’t know either”. Rudy said calmly.
“He never told us about this”. Phillip said.
“Same way you didn’t tell us about your mum’s sickness till it got worse!!!”. Valentino spat and Phillip bit his lips.
Freddie and Jude just stared without saying anything.
“Now is not the time for this”. Serenity said holding the already sad Phillip.
He just smiled lightly without saying a word.
“But who could have posted it?”. Jude asked and his phone rang. It was Ruthie calling.
“What does she want again?”. He thought.
“Not now psycho”. He said and hanged up.
“Who knows? Funny how no one knows he’s the president’s son”. Valentino chuckled dryly.
The door of the ward burst open revealing the worried and angry Brandon.
“I’d be back”. He said and rushed out of the hospital without waiting for their response.
“Do you think he has seen the video?”. Caitlyn asked worriedly.
“That bastard!!!!”. Valentina snapped and rushed into the ward.
~ROAD
Brandon drove speedily to the villa hitting the wheel at every given point. He’s worried about his father because the citizens are not taking it easy on the internet.
The car screeched to an halt and he stepped down, he just got a flat tyre.
“Sh*t!”. He cursed and quickly grabbed his phone trying to get a taxi.
An injection was dug into his neck from behind and he instantly fell unconscious. They carried him into a car and drove off.
