Chapter 29
Tricia’s POV
Lucia and i have been really close, i really love her so much. We are both going for shopping, we need dresses for Dominic’s wedding for tomorrow.
We were about entering the car, going to the boutique but i had the urge to tell them how i felt.
I told Lucia and Sophie, they were surprised and at the same time happy . Lucia suggested we go to the hospital for a pregnancy test before we go for the shopping.
We got to the hospital and we met the doctor. After running some tests on me i was confirmed pregnant. I don’t know if i should me happy or scared about it.
The girls were happy and after some planning, we then decided that i will tell Dominic tomorrow.
We headed to the boutique straight. We picked our dresses, i picked a red dinner gown.
We went out of the boutique and settled for drinks while discussing.
“You know, tomorrow is the perfect day to let Dominic know about the pregnancy “.
Yeah, i am sure he will be really happy” i replied.
“I’m so happy you have forgiven me sis. I really missed you when you left . It was then i knew the saying “you will never know the worth of something until you loose it ” Lucia said and i smiled.
“Excuse me, i want to use the rest room. I’ll be back ” she said and left.
Lucia’s POV
I left for the rest room. I entered the rest room and i heard a voice someone was making a call. It was the mention of Dominic that i decided to eavesdrop.
📲 “Yes Lily, i need your help tomorrow at Dominic’s birthday party “
….. I need to deal with that bitch who snatched Dominic away from me…she thinks i have gone for good, she can’t escape it this time…… what’s her name ? do you know her name ?……
I was still listening when my phone rang. It’s Tricia, i have to go. And with that i left.
But why do my mind keep telling me that my sister is not safe ??. The person mentioned Dominic and tomorrow is also his birthday 😕.
Chapter 30
Dominic’s POV
Today’s my birthday. I had to try my best and convince my buddies for the party to take place in my mansion, moreover the mansion was huge enough for the party to take place but they still insisted so i had no choice. Sometimes, they behave like the big brother i never had.
Well i plan on proposing to Tricia today. It is gonna be two events in one, i’m so anxious. Everything is ready and the party has started already, people of high status where already here. Mom, dad, and my sis is around.
I am dressing, really need to look good for my honey. I just remembered Linda now, she has not been seen since the incident.
Just as i was wearing my shoes, Dylan and Sly came in.
“Hey bro. You are looking more handsome tonight. Gosh !! you are every lady’s dream man ” Dylan said
“Hmm, really ? including Sophie ?” i said smirking.
“Don’t go there ” he said and hit me slightly on my shoulders.
“We’ve gotta go, your guests are waiting ” Sly said.
I walled outside with my besties and everyone’s attention drew to me.
We sighted the girls from a sit and we went closer to them. I took Tricia’s hand and she stood up. She was looking really pretty to night, she’s really beautiful on her red gown.
I took her hands as we both went to greet some of the guests.
I got to where my parents were and we greeted them. My mom was so happy to see Tricia as she hugged her, not wanting to let go of her. Everyone was wowed because they were surprised i now have a girlfriend.
I smiled as i thought of my plans to propose to her tonight.
I got to where my sis is and she dragged Tricia from me, guess to introduce her to some of her friends.
I left to welcome some of my guests.
Soon it was time to sing the happy birthday and also blow the candle light. I turned to see Tricia who was smiling at me.
I took the mic and gave a short speech. 🎤🎤
“Welcome ladies and gentlemen. I’m really happy today. Thanks to you all for coming, i really appreciate it.
This special moment, i am going to do what i always long for.
I’m inviting on stage, the only woman i love, the love of my life, the one that gives me joy, my sunshine and my heart beat.
Jodan Tricia !!! i said and everyone clapped their hands. Tricia walked to the stage with smiles on her face, she looks like an angel.
“My love, my life turned for good when i met you. You made me love again, for this i am grateful. I love you so much Tricia. Can life get anymore better with you by my side ?
My lady will you do me the honour of being my wife ?” i proposed with one knee on the floor.
People were screaming and clapping. Some were shouting yes. I looked up at Tricia who was smiling in tears, i knew she was really happy just as i am.
“Yes, my love ” she said and i stood properly and kissed her as people clapped endlessly.
Soon, we were out of the stage and it was time to eat, refreshment.
We all settled at the long table.
Food were being served.
Linda’s POV
I am at Dominic’s party but no one knows because i am wearing a face mask of another person. I will make sure Tricia is gone for good tonight. I couldn’t have Dominic, then she too will not have him.
The silly girl almost made me go to jail if not for my smart moves. I just hate her.
I saw it when Dominic proposed to her, i was boiling in anger, i felt like killing her with my bare hands.
You might be wondering how i am gonna get rid of her, but i am the smart type😕😕. I am one of those serving, i was chosen because i hid my identity by putting on a face mask.
I am going to poison her food.
Her friend and one other girl was at the balcony close to the kitchen. They are talking. I quickly took food to the table and secretly put some of the poison into the food.
I am about to give it to her and that will be her end…..
Hahaha i laughed at my thought.

Chapter 31
Tricia’s POV
I sat beside Dominic as we drank wine. He smiled at every one. They brought my meal but as i was about digging into it, Dominic’s sister, Courtney came and dragged me away from Dominic.
“Can i go with my in-law ? i’ll bring her back soon ” she said.
“Nope, she’s about eating “.
“I just said she’ll be back soon ” She said and dragged me away from the table in a jiffy 😕.
She took me to where her friends were and they showed me some shoes. I look at them, guess they were arguing about the shoes.
“Which is more beautiful ” Courtney asked me.
“The red one ” i replied.
“I said it ” she said and squired happily.
“ohhh” her friends said disappointedly.
I just laughed at them and after which i and Courtney went back to the table to eat but i found Gabriella sitting on my table with Sly on the right hand side and Dominic on the left. I went to the other side and sat beside Dominic, there was an empty chair there, guess Dominic reserved that for me.
I went and sat down. I have not seen Lucia and Sophie since the time for eating.
“Have you seen Lucia and Sophie ?” i whispered to Dominic
“No. Any problem ?”
“No just asking ” i replied and a waiter came in with another food and i ate.
Soon i saw Lucia and Sophie sat at the other end, they were both looking around, like they were monitoring someone.
After the dinner, slow music was played and couples stood up dancing to the rhyme of the music.
Dominic came forward and asked me for a dance.
I took his hand and we danced slowly to the rhythm of the music, so soothing.
I noticed Gabriella sitting at a corner holding her stomach, looks like she tries screaming, but her voice is not coming out because of the sound of the music.
I looked around if i can Sylvester. But i saw him talking with some guys, maybe his friend.
I excused myself from Dominic and went towards Gabriella.
“Gabby, are you okay ” i asked.
“No Tricia my stomach hurts. Ahhhhhh” she screamed and i became scared, really scared and i hastily went call Dominic, who called Sylvester.
She was crying already, we hastily rushed her to the hospital….
Chapter 32 – Semi Final
Tricia’s POV
We rushed Gabriella to the hospital and we waited patiently for the doctor. Sylvester looks really restless, oh love 💖
I haven’t seen Lucia and Sophie, they have been really scarce during the birthday party. I really don’t know when they became this good friends.
Soon the doctor walked out and everyone stood up with expectations to hear from the doctor.
“Doctor how is she ” Sylvester asked immediately.
” Calm down everyone, she’s alright “.
Just then Lucia and Sophie walked in smiling.
“Where have you guys been ” i asked
“Trying to protect you from eating the meal Dominic’s ex Linda poisoned ” Lucia said out loud.
“What !!!
“Yes the meal was met for you. She poisoned it but…..
Lucia’s pov
FLASHBACK 💶📹
After i left the mall, my conscience was not settled, i was not myself. I had to let Sophie know about it, we decided not to let Tricia know about it for her not to ruin the wonderful moment and also for her unborn child, she don’t need stress.
So we decided to be really alert.
Lucia’s POV
We decided to connect cameras to our system in a room. Sophie brougt three guards, we arrived early. we stayed indoors and watched everything but we really didn’t see anything suspicious. We went out, leaving the guards, when we came back and the guards informed us of one of the people serving.
The guys said they were really sure of it and we confirmed it when the food she served Tricia was eaten by Gabriella and she wasn’t okay.
We called the police and we traced her to her house, a mansion to be precise because she hurried away.
we knocked and the door was opened to reveal a lady which Sophie called Linda. guess she wasn’t smart enough because a face mask was right on the expensive couch. “
I narrated everything to them and they sigh.
” thank God Gabriella is okay now. The doctor said she would have died if she wasn’t brought on time” Tricia said.
” where is Tricia now” Dominic questioned.
“she has been arrested.

Tricia’s POV
Linda was sentenced to life imprisonment for attempted murder.
Mom and Lucia became my real family whom i love so much.
Three months later i got married to my dream man, Dominic. The news was everywhere.
Yeah, what do you expect , he’s really popular, one of the richest family.
Sophie and Dylan, Gabriella and Sylvester got married about two months after ours. They did theirs together.
Could life be more better when you are surrounded with people who love you.
Sometimes someone you hate now might be your favourite. And sometimes, people come into your live to change it.
You really don’t have to hate now because no one knows tomorrow.
