Episode 25 & 26 : School Trip
“This is a warning to you to give up on your search or you and the people you hold dear will be next”

^^ HOSPITAL ^^
Vance and Tracy were patiently waiting for the operation to be over and when it did end.
The doctor told them that the lady is in a critical state and that she will be under constant watch for the next twenty four hours.
They were told that they could see her but they won’t be able to get a response from her since she’s under a coma.
Vance insisted on seeing her and a while later he was led to the ICU by a nurse who left him at the door way before ending back to her desk.
Vance was about to open the door when someone else came out of the room instead.
He was dressed in the nurse attire but the tattoo drawn on the man neck got Vance thinking other wise.
“Go in miss” The man said making room for Vance to go in.
Still feeling suspicious, Vance stopped him.
“When exactly can she be discharged? The doctor mentioned it earlier but have forgotten” Vance lied.
” I think that will be soon. I will excuse you now” he replied falling for Vance lies.
“You are not a doctor right?” Vance asked as the injured lady began to convluse
Seeing this, the tattooed man ran off and when Vance wanted to go after him he stopped and decided to alert the doctor who arrived immediately to check on the lady.
They did everything they could but the parallel line which appeared on the monitor gave him his answer.
“Am sorry but she’s gone” The doctor inform.
Tracy who was standing by the door came to pull Vance out of the room.
“Are you okay?” Tracy asked as they were both seated in the waiting room again.
“The only witness I have is gone, do you still think me to be okay?” Vance asked in return.
“Vance, why don’t we just forget about it”
“Forget about what?”
“The murder and everything it has to do with it. You saw how they killed that lady just so she wouldn’t tell us the truth, what if they-“
” I don’t care, Tracy and am disappointed that you even had to suggest something like that. James died and am being thought of as a thief, do you think I enjoy being in this disguise? I don’t and I hate the fact that I have to live this way”
“And the one chance have got to clear my name, you are asking me to forget about it. I can’t do that, I won’t do it!” He said and left the room before Tracy could stop him.
^^ MARTIN HOUSE ^^
After the incident at the hospital,Vance had gone straight to his room and ever since then Tracy hasn’t seen him.
She also went to her room but her thought kept going to Vance. Not being able to take it, she left her room and went in search of him.
“Have you seen Sarah?” Tracy asked one of the maid who confirmed that she’s in the room.
Tracy went to see Vance just as Lady young came into the kitchen.
“Why is she going to see Sarah?” Lady young asked.
“Am not sure about that lady young” The maid replied which got her being dismissed.
As the head house keeper, lady young thought it to be her job to know the reason why Tracy is going to see Sarah cause the Tracy she knew before her leave wouldn’t even step her foot in the kitchen.
What exactly is going on between the both of them, lady young thought.
Tracy got to Vance room and after knocking twice with no reply, she decided to go in.
“Maya, I told you that I want to be left-” his words were cut short when he saw that it was Tracy in the room.
“If you are here to tell me to give up then It’s best you leave cause I have no intention of doing that” Vance said quickly.
“I thought about it too and I know it was wrong of me to tell you to give up but I was just worried about you. I was scared that those people will come after you just like they did to that lady” Tracy said and Vance couldn’t help but to feel touch by her words.
“I can handle whatever they throw my way and I know that I won’t fail in finding out the truth cause no matter what they do, the truth will always come to light but I need to know that am not alone in this journey am embarking on. I want to know that I your support in this and that I -” Tracy sudden hug prevented him from saying more.
“You’ve got my support Vance, I will always be here for you” she added softly. He stood immobile at first but her words got him wrapping his arms around her waist while breathing in scent.
He had been in bad mood earlier but she had put him in a good mood. Some thing that please him.
They stayed like that for a while until Tracy pulled back to stare at him.
“Why don’t we try to have fun for some days?” She suggested lightly.
“What fun?”
“It’s the school field trip tomorrow, what do you say about leaving the whole investigation behind for a few days and try to have fun?”
^^ NEXT DAY ~ FIELD TRIP ^^
“Hey Tracy, Elsa and I will go ahead to keep a seat for us all” Angela said before going off with Elsa leaving Vance and Tracy.
“Stop thinking and try to relax” Tracy said trying to cheer him up but she failed.
Standing in front of him, she began to pull his cheek playfully and he ended up laughing.
Unknown to them, Reed who stood a distance away had watch the whole scene feeling annoyed by it.
“Tracy we’ve got to talk” He said as he approach them and immediately, Tracy hid behind Vance while Vance faced Reed.
“Take it easy girl. I know you are good in fighting already and I know that you will punch my face as soon as I do something crazy but I won’t do that, I only want to talk to Tracy” Reed said but Vance didn’t move.
It was Tracy who told Vance that she will talk to him.
While Vance stood some distance away watching, Reed began his apology.
“I didn’t know what came over me last night, am sorry, I shouldn’t have forced you neither should I have made you do what you didn’t want to do”.
“Am glad you realise your mistake. If that’s all, I have to go” Tracy said wanting to leave but Reed stopped her.
“Can you stay by side during this trip”
“Am sorry but I-“
“Your gonna stay with her right? Just what is going on between the both of you or do I have to find out myself?” Reed asked.
“Do whatever you want and what goes on between Sarah and myself is none of your business. The earlier you accept that there’s never going to be a thing between us, the better for you” Tracy added before going to Vance.
Reed watch them leave slowly tightening his fist in anger.
Tracy and Vance got to the where six buses and the other students were waiting.
“Why are we taking six buses? Isn’t it three every year?” Tracy asked Angela who gave a smile on return.
“Turns out the neighbouring school will be going on this trip with us” Angela said in excitement.
“And why you so excited about that?” Vance asked.
“It’s all because of pretty boys” Elsa explain.
“The pretty boys?” Vance asked.
“Well the pretty boys are students from the neighbouring school. They are handsome and popular and most of our female students queue up in front of their school just to see them” Elsa said.
“Are they that popular?”
“They are and that’s why they are all narcissistic and proud” Tracy mumbled.
Vance felt a bit relieved that Tracy isn’t amongst the girls who go crazy for the pretty boys.
“There they are” Angela said as screams filled the air just by the arrival of three guys.
Vance wouldn’t deny that they handsome but not as handsome as he is.

The girls began saying crazy things which got Tracy and Vance laughing.
Vance still had that smile on his face when he saw the one they call Ray starring at him.
“Lets get in” Tracy said as she stole his attention but that didn’t stop Vance from wondering why he got that stare from Ray.
“This is definitely going to be a crazy trip” Elsa mumbled and went into the bus too.
“Here” Tracy said as she gave him a jar filled with candy.
“It’s going to be a long trip and you are definitely going to need it” Tracy added and that got Vance gently touching her head, an action that made Tracy heart flutter.
“Excuse me but do you mind getting up so I can seat here” Ray said as he stood beside their seat.
“And why would she do that? She sat here first and it’s only right that she stays. I know that you are doing this just to get my attention, you did it last year but am not interested Ray and so I suggest you-“
“Am talking to you Tracy” Ray suddenly said, interrupting her.
By now, they had stolen everyone’s attention.
“I meant for you to get up not her” Ray said again,starring at Vance with a lot of interest.
“This time, I don’t want your attention Tracy. I want hers” Ray added his gaze still on Vance whose mouth had dropped open in shock___
Episode 27 & 28 : The Kiss
“You can’t possibly be serious right?” Tracy asked but instead of replying, Ray signalled to his friend who came to pull Tracy up.
“Hey, let her go” Vance tried to interfere but Ray quickly took hold of his hand and sat beside him.
“Just let Tracy have a talk with my friend while I talk to you instead. What’s your name, pretty lady” Ray asked.
“You see have got two names. If I tell you the first one you will obviously become more obsess with me but if I tell you the other one then you are bound to run away. Which one do you prefer?” Vance asked.
“The one which will make me more obsess” Ray said taking hold of Vance hand once again.
“Somehow your hand doesn’t look soft and feminine” Ray commented while starring at his hand,Vance quickly pulled away knowing that if he wasn’t careful, a foolish guy this will definitely realise that he is a guy.
“Do every feminine hand have to look soft and feminine?” Vance asked in return.
“It has to “
“Then am sure that if you look around enough, you are going to find someone else with such__”
“I don’t mind going with strong hands this time around cause you see, feminine and soft have been boring, I need something new which is you. So don’t think it will be easy for you to discard me cause I won’t let you ” Ray said, sending a smile that would have melt the hearts of many ladies.
Angela who had witnessed this scene couldn’t stop laughing.
“What’s funny? Are you angry that Ray didn’t look at you and chose Sarah instead?” Elsa mock.
“Let’s just say that am laughing at the situation. Ray doesn’t know what he’s getting into by falling for Sarah” Angela bit out airily.
“I doubt that. Ray strikes me as someone who knows what he’s doing and since he chose Sarah, am sure there’s a reason. What I can’t get is why Tracy is angry” Elsa added as both of their gaze drifted to Tracy who was seated at the back with one of Ray friends, looking angry.
“She rejected Ray when he made a move on her once. Is she now angry because Ray finds Sarah attractive and not her?” Elsa asked doubtfully.
“More like she’s jealous of Ray” Angela replied watching the intent look on Tracy face.
Has she also found out about Vance secret.
^^ ABANDONED WARE HOUSE ^^
“Until when are you going to keep hiding this truth from that Martin guy?” A man gently smoking his cigarette asked the lady that was seating in front of him with her legs crossed.
“What truth?”
“That he has a son whom he knows nothing about” The man replied which got the lady sending a glare his way.
“You know what will happen if I do that. Everything we’ve been planning for years will definitely go to waste ” The lady said as she pulled out a cigarette to lit.
“But the truth is bound to come out someday and it’s also time I get close to my child” the man said looking grim without a bit of affection in his rugged face.
“You will someday but not just now. There’s still a whole way to go, let’s not jeopardize this and just focus on what we will achieve at the end” She said and that got him agreeing.
“So, what’s your next plan?” The guy asked.
“The next plan is to get rid of two other girls of the Martin daughters. We shouldn’t have any obstacle shackling us when it’s time for us to enjoy the fruits of our labour” The lady told him while starring at her nails.
“Fine then, I will get things ready”
^^ BACK AT SCHOOL TRIP ~ FIELD^^
“It’s not funny” Vance said glaring down at Angela who kept laughing.
Turns out they were both given the same tent to stay.
“It is to me. I can already picture the look of horror on Ray face when he realise that you are a guy” She said in between laughter.
“That’s why have got to get him off my back and you need to help me ” Vance pleaded.
“Only on one condition. Tell me, Is Tracy aware about your real identity?” Angela asked and he nodded in return.
“No wonder she was looking pissed, turns out she was jealous” Angela muttered.
“Jealous?”
“Figure that out yourself. Now that two of us know about your identity, you can be rest assured that you will be fine. Now where’s that dumb Ray ” she said as she left the tent.
Vance breathe out a sigh of relief thinking about everything that happened today.
This trip is meant to get his mind off things, to help him relax but instead he’s more frustrated than ever.
The vibration of his phone got him pulling it out of his pocket to read a text.
★COME TO THE RIVER BANK, I WILL BE WAITING ★
his face lit up on reading Tracy text and immediately he left the tent only to be bombarded by Elsa.
“It won’t take time, it’s just a game” Elsa said as she pulled him off to join some students who were seated in a circle playing a game of truth and dare.
Amongst those student was Ray and Angela.
He had told Angela to get Ray away from him but somehow, he was the one who went to Ray.
Pulling out his phone, he sent a text to Tracy.
It was evening. The sun had long gone disappear making room for the moon.
Tracy finally found the group of students having fun and she spotted Vance amongst them.
He seemed to be enjoying himself, she thought and made her way to where they were purposely sitting somewhere far from Vance.
Vance who had seen her quickly sent a message just as the students spin the bottle which landed on Ray.
★ AM SORRY, I TRIED TO LEAVE BUT THEY WOULDN’T ALLOW IT★
Tracy heard the beep of her phone but she didn’t bother bringing it out to read his message.
“Truth or Dare?” One of the female asked Ray who chose Dare.
“I dare you to kiss a girl you find attractive ” They threw the question at Ray which made him very pleased.
On the other hand Vance was texting Tracy, his attention was totally on the note he was typing and he failed to see Ray approach him.
Vance will never forget the way, Ray lifted his chin and pressed his lips on his.
He had first been shock but when he got back his composure, he quickly pushed Ray away from him.
“Are you crazy!” Vance yelled at him but Ray gave him a wink and a smile before going back to his spot.
Vance quickly looked around but there was no sign of Tracy. Where did she go?
He was about to go in search of her when Elsa stole his attention.
The game went on for a while and Tracy was no where to be seen.
When he couldn’t take it, he stood up to go in search of her when he saw her coming back.
She looked pissed and pale,what happened to her? Is she angry about the kiss he shared with Ray?
Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw Reed approach them accompany by Lola.
The bottle was spin again and this time it landed on Tracy.
“Truth or Dare ” they asked and he was surprised to hear her say dare, shouldn’t she be playing safe?
“We dare you to kiss someone among everyone seated here” They said and Slowly Tracy stood up.
They watched as she walk around getting calls from some of the male student but she ignored them and went towards Reed.
“She said you should take a pick from one of the people playing the game. Reed is definitely not playing” Lola told her but Tracy totally ignored her.
She move towards Reed who was mesmerized by her. She had her lips very close to his when she whispered against his mouth.
“I know your secret” she said making his eyes widen
“And it’s totally sickening” she added and move away from him, retracing her step to where Vance and Elsa was seated.
Right in front of everyone, Tracy knelt beside Vance and claim his lips___
Episode 29 & 30 : The Hidden Truth
^^ AN HOUR EARLIER ^^
Tracy was waiting for Vance to show up since she has sent him a text.
She was about giving up when she noticed Reed and Lola heading to a shadowy path together.
Feeling curious, Tracy gently followed them and what she made her filled with rage.
He’s been f^^king Lola while claiming he loves her…she thought and left the scene before being caught.
She was still fuming when she joined some students playing truth and dare and amongst them was Vance and Elsa.
By chance, the bottle happened to stop on her and she found herself accepting a dare.
She stood up, catching a glimpse of Reed and Lola returning after their rendezvous, she found herself wanting hit him hard just like his lies had made her feel and so, right in front of everyone, she kissed Vance.
Elsa along with the others were startled by this action of Tracy but Vance was more startled by it since he didn’t expect her act this way.
He gently pulled her away and left the scene with her.
“Why did you do that?”
“Cause I wanted to” Tracy replied.
“Something happened right? The Tracy I know wouldn’t think of putting me in danger by kissing me in front of everyone” Vance muttered and that got her bursting in tears.
“Oh, Vance. Am sorry! I was so filled with rage and wasn’t thinking. I shouldn’t have kissed you, I…I saw Reed and Lola together and…” He didn’t let her finish her words when he pulled her into his arms.
“You must have seen them together? ” Vance whispered while Tracy burst into tears in his arms.
It took a while for her tears to subside and slowly she pulled out of his arms.
“Don’t get me wrong. Am not crying because he’s sleeping with Lola, I just feel so sad about his lies and deceit ” she said hoping he will understand her and he did.
“Have put you in an awkward situation right? Everyone will think you to be a…”
“Let’s worry about that when the time comes, you need to get some sleep” Vance intercept and together they both went to the tent she share with Elsa.
Reed was waiting for them when they got there.
“Can you f^^king tell me what’s going on between you two? You aren’t really a…lesbian ?” He asked starring at Tracy.
Tracy was about to speak when Vance took hold of her hand.
“Why does she have to explain to you? What we do is none of your business” Vance replied.
“Fking stay out of this. Am talking to my fiancee and I don’t want you to fking meddle in it!”
“Sorry but I have a right to meddle in this since Tracy is my now my girl” Vance stated angering Reed.
“Sarah, why don’t you head back to your tent. Let me a talk to him” Tracy said to Vance and although he was a bit hesitant, he went off.
“Is that really true? Are you really messing around with her?” Reed asked but Tracy gave him a slap in return.
“That’s for all the lies you’ve been telling me. How dare you lie to me when you’ve been messing around with Lola” Tracy yelled.
“Did you perhaps see us?” Reed asked holding onto his slapped cheek.
“Go to hell and leave me alone” Tracy replied steely wanting to walk past him but he held onto her hand.
“Tracy, am sorry. I just…what I have going on with her isn’t serious. You are the girl I want, the only one I ever love”
“You don’t love me Reed. You think you do but you don’t cause if you truly love me, you would have wanted me to be happy even if it’s not with you. You would have let me be with your brother but instead, you made things hard for us using your love as an excuse but your love is just a sham, I suggest you think about your feelings too, you will realise that what you feel for me isn’t the real thing” Tracy said and went into her tent leaving him outside.
<< MORNING >>
Angela was headed for the girls bathroom knowing that she was recieving stares but she didn’t care one bit.
After all, she knows that Vance isn’t a girl and that Tracy is right to kiss him.
Having decided to take a short route, she stopped short when she saw Reed and Lola together.
“You can’t just break things off with me. We’ve been secretly dating for a long time and…”
“And I want to end it. You can’t stop me if I want to end our relationship cause I made things clear to you from the start” Reed replied.
“But I love you and you saw her last night, she’s a gay. Just let her be and focus on me” Lola begged but Reed gave her a condemning look.
“Stop trying to be a leech and go on your way. It’s time I put an end to this relationship of ours, it’s not taking either of us anywhere”
“Did she tell you to do this? She’s more devious than I thought, have never liked her, I thought her to be less worthy of you and she proved me right, Tracy is a…”
“Stop it, Lola. It’s my decision to end this and no one else, so face reality and get on with your life just like I will with mine” he said and left her crying.
Angela who was still watching from her hiding place found herself pitying Lola.
She was about to leave too when she heard Lola say.
“I will kill her, I won’t let her get away with this, I will make her pay, I swear” Lola vowed and from Angela stood, she saw her bringing out a pocket knife.
Immediately, Angela pulled out her phone to call Tracy.
Tracy was watching the sun rise when someone approach her. Her gaze was on the sun that she failed to notice the intruder until an arm came around her waist.Tracy smiled before starring at Vance.
“Have been looking for you” Vance said.
“Just wanted to escape for a while” Tracy replied.
“Is it because everyone are talking about you”
“For that and many more”
“Can I at least know what the many more is?” Vance asked and she turn towards him.
“Ever since James death, I thought I would never fall in love again but then…the arrival of someone has began to make me think differently” Tracy said.
“Is this…”
“It is a confession that am making to the one who has made me fall in love again. I love you Vance, I don’t know when it began but I do know that if I lose you, I…I don’t think I will be able to live and…” She was stopped from saying more when he kissed her lips.
“I love you too” he muttered and gave her another kiss.
“But we will have to keep our relationship a secret since am still in a girl get up” Vance said.
“I don’t care, I don’t care if they think me to be gay, all I know is that I want you always by my side and no where else” She added lightly feeling like she’s on top of the world.
“Tch! Why don’t you two lesbo get a room” on hearing the bitchy voice behind them, they both turned to see Lola glaring at them.
“Why don’t you just go your way” Tracy replied moving out of Vance arms.
“How can I? When you two have just ruined my eyes” She said starring from Vance to Tracy.
“Stop beating around the bush and tell us why you are here?” Vance asked.
“To give back to Tracy the same pain she made me feel. Unlike you, I really love Reed,it was hard for me sleeping with him while knowing he loves you but I accepted it as long as I had him by my side but the little I have, you had to take it away too”.
“Lola I have no idea what you are talking about”
“Really? You didn’t tell Reed to end things with me right?”
“I didn’t. If he ended things with you then that is his guilty conscience speaking not my doing” Tracy said hotly.
“I knew you were going to deny it which is why I also won’t let you be without feeling the same pain am feeling” Lola said and pulling out a knife, she ran towards Tracy wanting to stab her but before she could succeed, Angela got in the way and ended up being stab.
The next few hours was all about taking the bleeding Angela to the nearest hospital.
The ambulance came and left with a sobbing Tracy and Vance in toll.
An unconcious Angela was led into the operation room while Vance and Tracy stayed at the waiting room.
Tracy was still blaming herself for the incident when Elsa joined them. They both manage to calm Tracy when the doctor finally came out.
“Will my sister be fine?”Tracy asked.
“The patient lost a lot of blood before her arrival and so we need donors”
It was late in the evening when a nurse approach them.
Elsa had gone to the canteen to get them something to eat and Tracy was fast asleep leaving only Vance.
Vance went with the nurse not wanting to disturb Tracy, he was taken to the doctor office who told him to take a seat.
“I was having a talk with Elsa, the youngest sister and she happen to talk about you being an orphan”
Vance nodded remembering the other night where he talked about the orphanage with Elsa.
“What does my being an orphan have to do with our discussion?” Vance asked.
“The new recruit which just arrived made a mistake by taking your blood sample to the laboratory along with Elsa and the result is a bit confusing “
“Confusing? What does it say?” a confused Vance asked again.
“For one you are a male and two you are related to Elsa “
