Chapter 25 & 26 : The Cold War Between Carl and Mia
“Hey sweetheart” He says and Pecks her forehead, Mia smiles at him before Dropping Liam watching him run away with his cute chubby legs
Mia sighs before turning to Damien who was the man who came out of the Room, He had grown big, He was currently in his last year of College.
“He Looks so Much like his Father” Damien says looking at Mia for any Express but her face was blank.
“You know you still have to tell Carl about his child” Damien says trying to talk sense into his sister’s head.
“Not Now Damien” Mia says before walking away, Damien sighs looking at her.
“What exactly made you run away Mia?” He asks before he got a call, He looks at it before smiling widely.
“Sweet heart” was the name that came out and guess who it was ….. Imani .. Damien later found out his Supposed high school girlfriend was cheating on him and Some how fell for Imani.
Mia sat on the bed with a heavy sigh remembering the bad memories, She was remembering how exactly she ran away from Carl, From That Hell called home and From Spain.
<<5 YEARS AND FEW MONTHS AGO>>
After Mia was Raped by Carl, She struggled to walk up the stairs, Crying profusely, She didn’t bother to help Carl, She left him There on the Floor.
She crawls to her wardrobe l, Pulled out her suitcase and started stuffing her clothes in it, Still Crying and Cursing Carl in her head ,wishing his death.

Few Minutes After, She felt better than before and stood up, She carries her suitcase and walks down this stairs.

“Goodbye Carl” She walks outside and with a few Lies, she was able to convince the security guard to open the gate.
Mia Went Home that Night, Her Mom and Brother were shocked to see her at their doorstep, so late at night.
They allowed her in and asked what was wrong but Mia didn’t open her mouth to utter a single word so they consoled her quietly.
“Let’s Travel out of The Country Mom” Mia says surprising her mom and Brother.
“I …..I can’t..stay here” She burst out crying which left them no choice, With a few of their savings, They traveled put the next day.

Mia was on the couch watching her favorite anime when she felt a weird urge bubbling in her tummy.
She quickly ran to the toilet and barfed her guts out, Feeling extremely weak, Her mom who saw this knew exactly what was wrong with Mia

“Mia…..I’m here…Damien is here….Were gonna help you…Even if the father is absent… We’ll be the father figure for the baby” Rose says comforting Mia.
“You’re not that sure if I’m pregnant Mom…what’s if it’s morning sickness?” Mia says and quietly Rose stood up and came back with a pregnancy kit.
“Why do you have this Mom?” Mia asks sniffing.
“Because I knew it would happen soon” Rose says smiling lightly.
Mia did the pregnancy test and 2 lines appeared, she fell weakly to the floor, breathing heavily.
She didn’t want to Carry that Monster’s child But….But For her Mom…She will.
<>”Mama…Maama…Maaaama” Mia broke out of her thought and looks to the door to see Liam there, holding his power rangers toy and calling out to Mia.
Mia opens her hand and Liam giggles before running to Mia, Mia caught him and raises him up before hugging him.
Now she has come to Love Liam More than Herself but she couldn’t faze the fact that Liam looked so much like Carl.
<>Carl sat on his swivel chair, Rolling it from side to side lost in thoughts, He looked older now, More matured and More Handsome.
His Phone rang and he picked it with such delicate Elegance but underneath that elegance was a Man of Destruction.
“Any Update?” He asks gently but firmly and filled with eagerness.
“None Sir…It’s like she disappeared from the Face of …..” Before His Investigator could finish his sentence, Carl cut the call.
“Mia….Mia…Where exactly are you?” Carl ask, His brows furrowed before he finally enters another world of thought.
“I’M HERE!!!” Lucas says barging in, Carl looks up at him with total Boredom and a blank expression.
“For?” He asks…He finally went back to being a man of little words since Mia was gone.
“Don’t go all grumpy on me old Man” Lucas says teasingly walking to Carl, He was about talking when he saw what was laid on Carl’s desk
“Still looking for her huh?” Lucas asks before sitting, He was about touching the papers when Carl smacks his hand, Lucas rubbed his hand with a pout.
“Not Your Business” Carl says looking at the files which Contained everything about Dear Mia.
“What did you do to her Carl? Because I know No woman would just run away like that without a clue…It’s like she doesn’t want you to find her at all…Her friends know nothing about her whereabouts, Her family place total empty like they never lived there” Lucas says the obvious truth, He has been asking Carl this question for months..Years now but Carl refused to answer…More like he didn’t know.
Carl squints his eyes trying to remember exactly what happened that night Mia disappeared but Nothing came to him…The only thing he remembers is Seeing her enter the house and the remaining was blank.
“Do you Love her?” Lucas asks and Carl looks at him with a brow raised.
“Why bother falling in love when I can…..” Carl didn’t finish his words when Lucas cuts him off.
“Spare me that Bullshit Carl…You’re so hung up on this girl…I’ve watched you look for her for the past 5 years now Carl..5 FREAKING YEARS… Every single minute, hour, day, week, month, It’s like you’re living for her” Lucas says and Carl eyes became dark.
“I don’t Love Her…Never Have…Never will” Carl says before turning hus swivel chair to face the big window facing the city.
Lucas looks at him and shakes his head, He stands up and walks to Carl, He stops and then raises his hand to pat Carl’s shoulder.
“I Pray you Find her” Lucas says before turning and walking out of the office.
Carl continues to look out to the city till her hears his door slam shut, He ran his hand through his hair and angrily undo the button in the sleeve of his shirt before rolling the hand up making him looks sexy.
“I Will Find Her” He says .
“And When I do…I’m never letting her slip from me again” He completed before entering his world of thought.
<>”We Have to Talk” Damien tells Mia like he’s the older one, Mia looks at him briefly before taking her eyes back to Liam who was putting Mia’s hand in his mouth.
“NOW” Damien adds loudly and Mia sighs before carrying Liam and following Damien to the parlor where she met her mom also looking serious.
“Okay… what’s going on?” Mia asks sitting down and putting Liam on her lap, He was about falling asleep.
“You are Going On” Damien says and Mia raises her brow.
“You have to return to Spain” Rose says calmly and Mia scoffs.
“I thought we’ve had this conversation before and my answer remains the same ..No Way” Mia says shaking her head.
“Mia… Our Life is in Spain, Your Life is in Spain…You Can’t keep on running for the rest of your life Mia, I know You went through a lot with Carlos but You can’t keep Liam from his Dad forever, We aren’t saying you should get back with Carlos but at Least..Let Liam know where he is from. Embrace our culture…I Know you Miss Spain Mia, I see every night on your laptop where you watch People talk about Spain, make a podcast of the surroundings…Don’t key your fear keep you from being who you are…Who you’re meant to be….Where you’re meant to be…I Miss Spain too… Damien misses Spain” Rose says, Mia already had tears in her eyes, It began to roll down her cheek ..Only her Mom knew of what happened between Her and Carl but Damien was clueless.
“I’m sorry for dragging you with me Mom….I’m sorry for being selfish and making You miss Your Home” Mia says crying but not loud so as not to wake Liam who had fallen asleep.
“We’ll do anything for you Mia” Damien says hugging Mia who hugs him back.
“I know you want to go to Spain to get back with Imani” Mia says rolling her eyes while Damien chuckles nervously.
Mia was Kinda right because Long distance relationship is so hard.
“Home” Mia says looking at Lima with loving eyes.

Chapter 27 & 28 : Mia’s Growing Strength
Mia Held Liam’s hand in hers as they stayed by the queue to enter the Airplane, Her Mom and Damien behind her.
Damien couldn’t stop shaking his legs in excitement, he wanted to surprise Imani of his arrival, Liam was so clueless as he stared everywhere
“Wanna go Meet Daddy?” Mia remembers the question she asked Liam That morning and he nods his head excitedly.
I’m definitely not letting my presence known to hi Mia says..If Only She knew.
<>Carl had his sole focus on his laptop, They were coming up with a big project and he go extremely busy.
His phone rang but eh ignores it, It rang again and he sighs, removing his glasses and picking up the phone.
“What?” He asks annoyed and the next thing he heard from the caller made him smirk.
“Sir..I Just received an input that A certain Mia Gonzalez boarded an airplane from Australia” His Investigator says and Carl smirks.
“Where is she headed?” Carl asks twirling his chair to face the big window/glass.
“Spain” Carl hears and his smirks widens before he cuts the call, twirling his chair from side to side.
“How about a Warm Visit?”
Mia stretches her back immediately she got down from the plane, she looks around the airport and looks at sleeping Liam in her arms.
Damien and Rose had boarded a cab immediately the plane landed and they got out, Mia didn’t know why Rose was in a rush but for Damien, she knew.
She walks out, Dragging her 2 luggages and carrying Liam at the same time, She actually has a house aside her family house, She got it in College since they couldn’t live in campus.
She lived there with Bunny at that time but since Bunny moved in with Aiden(They’re married now), the place has been abandoned but was abandoned recently.
Mia boarded a cab and told the cab driver the address and she rested her head on the window, She shudders remembering the memories Spain Brought.
The Cab stopped at her destination and she got out, payed the man who helped to bring down her luggage from the booth.
Mia carried Liam in her arms and began walking to the house, She remembers that she did have the key.
“Mérda (F*ck)” She says rubbing her forehead annoyed, Her head then clicked, She looks at the small flower pot and dips her hand into the soil, Something hard touched her hand and she brought it out.
Her eyes shone when she saw it was the key, She almost jumped out in achievement when she remembers she was carrying Liam.
She inserts the key and turns it, The door lock clicked, She opens the door and manages to drag her luggage in alongside with Carrying Liam
Everywhere was dark, She took her hand to the switch and Turns on the light, she looks around, Everywhere looked clean but she knew it wasn’t.
She went to the room and drops sleeping Liam on the couch before cleaning the bed and replacing it with the bed spread she brought from Australia.
She then lays Liam on it, He stirred in his sleep making her smile at how cute he looked.
She got to the parlor and sighs, she began to clean, sweep, wipe and dust everywhere.
<>”Gawdd” She falls on the couch and closes her eyes to rest but she soon hears a small cry.
“Mama” She hears Liam call before burst out crying, probably because he didn’t know where he was.
Mia stood and rushes to the room and carries crying Liam, petting him to stop crying in which he did.
“Hungry?” She asks him smiling and kissing his nose.
“Hm” Liam answers while nodding, Mia smiles and carries him out and t the kitchen.
She then remembers that no food stuff was available, Gawd why does she keep forgetting things.
“Will Liam follow Mummy to the Store to buy Food stuff?” Mia asks Peppering kisses all over his face.
“Yes” Liam says giggling .
Mai got the house key and her purse and out the house , locking it after.
<>Mia and Liam returned back from the Store and had prepared dinner already, They both ate and Mia couldn’t help but worry about how she would react when she meets Carl.
<<1AM≈ MIA’S HOME>>
Mia woke up parched, She looks at Liam and stands up careful not to wake him up, She got out and walks towards the kitchen.
She got there and saw something.. Someone, She blinks rapidly to be sue she wasn’t hallucinating.
The stiletto of a man stood in her kitchen and she grew scared, She was about to take the pan hanged close to the kitchen door and hit him but the voice she heard next had her stumbling.
“Carinõ… Welcome Back” Carl says and turns, a glass of wine in his hand, twirling it on his hand and smirking.
Mia stumbled back, Her breathe seized and a huge block of fear fell in her, She fell to the ground, Tears in her eyes already.
Carl looks at her figure on the ground and walks towards her, He bent down in front of her and took his hand to her chin.
“Was it fun?”
“Running away from me?”
“Hiding for 5 Freaking Years”.
Mia gulped , her tears touching his hand which was on her chin.
“Please” Mia manages to say, Carl was confused on why she was crying.
“What did I do to deserve that Mia?” Carl says and instead of fear, anger built in Mia.
She raises her hand.

Mia Slap him again and got to her feet, Carl jaw tightens more, his fist clenched as he stood an glares at her.
“You…Get…Out …Of…My ..House” Mia says..word for word, Carl stares blankly at her, his cheek hurting.
“And Out Of My Life” Mia says and turns to walk away but was dragged back and trapped by the Counter.
They locked eyes and he finally got a clear look of her face, Her Brown hair was cut short to her neck, Her greenish-blue eyes looked happy than it was when they were together, Her @ss and b**bs looked bigger and fuller he resisted the urge to touch, Her face looked more matured…29 Year old Mia.
Mia got a clear look of Carl’s face, His black hair longer,it partly covered his eyes, His eyes locked duller than when they were together, not a single warmth, He grew taller and more muscular, a slight stubble on his chin which looked like they were just shaved…..35 Year old Carl

Liam had stopped crying, She walks into the room and scoops him in her arms petting him even though he had gone back to sleep.

Mia was in her home cleaning up when she hears her doorbell ring, Fear filled her as she thought it was Carl.

Mia looks at Bunny and Melinda as they played with Liam who kept touching their faces like it was something new, well their face wasn’t familiar so he was trying to get familiar with their faces.
Carl was in his office, Lost in thoughts, What exactly was Mia hiding? was she married again? if not That cry of that child…did he imagine it
He picks up his phone and dials his private investigators number.
“I want Everything about Mia that happened in Australia NOW!!” Carl says and hangs up, His hand stroking his light stubble.
Hus phone pings and he pick it up, his eyes darkens at what he saw, It was Mia holding a small boy, She looked at him with so much love.
Did she get Married over there? Carl asks inwardly and soon another picture was sent to him.
It was a Picture of Liam, His wide gummy smile, Carl eyes squints, If he wasn’t wrong, Liam looked like his Younger him.
“No way the child is mine…Or is it?” Carl asks himself not noticing Logan at his back.
“Woah…Is that your son?” Logan asks and Carl flinches lightly before pushing Logan away from him.
“It’s Not” Carl says and Logan rolls his eyes.
“You don’t have to lie to me…He looks exactly like you .. except for the smile” Logan says making Carl roll his eyes.
“It’s Mia’s Child” Carl says and Logan eyes widens.
“Mia…Has…A Son” He says word for word in shock.
“Yeah Shocker” Carl says looking Deeply at the picture.
“For who?” Logan asks sitting down on the couch.
“I don’t know” Carl says and Logan looks at him, An emotion flashes in Carl’s eyes before it totally disappeared.
Was That Hurt I Saw? Logan asks Inwardly before shaking his head of the thoughts.
“Sorry Man” Logan says and Carl looks at him confused.
“For?” Carl asks and Logan shrugs..Only he knew what he was saying Sorry for.
“I mean..Your wife ran away from you only to come back 5 years after with another man child..Must Hurt” Logan says without thinking.
“It doesn’t Hurt” Carl says and his heart sped up, it only did that when he was lying, His brow furrows feeling the fast heartbeat.
“I’m Not” He says as if trying to assure himself.
“Whatever you say Bro” Logan says standing up.
“Well… Adios” He says and walks out.
Carl returns his eyes back to the picture, he didn’t want to believe that Mia gave birth for another man but his heart was telling him otherwise
