Episode 25 & 26 : The Truth About Carson’s Past Emerges
FLASHBACK,YEARS AGO••
Fifteen years old Chloe was strolling along the quiet road,she was on her way home.
she was putting on a yellow beautiful floral short gown, smiling as she walks.
her parents weren’t in town, and she decided to use that opportunity to go for the K-pop concert since her parents won’t let her if they were around.
Her phone started ringing and she deep her hand into her cross bag to get her phone. her nanny was the one calling.
“Oh dear, Chloe where you?” Her nanny asked softly and Chloe chuckled.
“Am on my way now” she replied.
“Thank goodness, your dad called and I told him you were sleeping, please be fast…am worried already,am even regretting letting you go to that concert in the first place” she sighed.
“It was really fun! Don’t worry I’m gonna tell you alot of things that happened here and you will be amazed”.
“Whatever..be quick,am waiting” she ended the call and Chloe put the phone back into her bag. Even when her parents her rich, she still treats the poor and needy equally. She consider her nanny as her second mom.
She started hearing footsteps behind and her breath seized.
“What’s that??” she muttered and started walking faster, without even looking back.
A strong palm covered her mouth from behind and her eyes widened immediately, she started struggling to freed herself from his tight grip.
she used her elbow to hit his stomach and he released.
“F-ck!!” he cursed, drunkenly.
Chloe started running, her tiny legs were hitting her head as she ran. she was even cursing herself for not asking her driver to take her to the concert, she only wanted to have fun like every other girls that’s all.
Meanwhile Carson was running after her and he caught up with her within a blink and he slapped her hard across her face and she fell on the ground, blood came out of her mouth.
“Please…” She begged but he wasn’t even listening to her pleads, instead he started unbuckling his belt and Chloe gasped.
What is he doing???
He raised her gown and plugged his d!ck into her p**sy.
“Let me go, please” Chloe screamed in tears as she hit him continuously, despite that he wasn’t ready to let her go. He increase his pace on her without minding the pain she’s feeling at all.

Chloe was still laughing and the boys were just staring at her in surprise.
“maybe she didn’t hear anything” Carson muttered, hoping that’s true. he started walking to her but a resounding slap landed on his cheek and before he could turn another slap blessed his other cheek.
Chloe heard everything, she was there all this while and she don’t want to believe everything she just heard.
her face were no longer friendly again, she demands answers from this monster in front of her.
“I didn’t hear you correctly, right?? It wasn’t true right?? You were not the guy that shattered my dreams right?? Answer me” she hits his chest continuously as tears left her eyes.
Luke secretly sneaked out of the suite.
“Chloe…I can explain..It wasn’t my intention” he tried holding her but she moved back.
“Explain??? What’s there to explain?? What!!!” she pushed his chest but he didn’t budge.
“I didn’t mean to,I swear. I was drunk and I didn’t know what I was doing babe… please forgive me…”

Carson turned to the wall and he started punching the wall in tears and regret.

Juliana was pacing around at the school gate,her eyes has been searching all over for Chloe.
lots of students who lives outside the school have left already, and there’s still no sign of Chloe.
“where could she be??” Juliana muttered, trying her line again.
“Are you perhaps looking for your friend??” Luke asked from a behind and she didn’t even turn nor reply.
“She left already, you should go home now, it’s getting late already” he added.
“Chloe left??” Her eyes dilated in shock.
<> Chloe pillows were soaked already with tears,she has been crying nonstop ever since she left school. She still finding it hard to believe Carson would do something terrible like that .. he’s too cute and innocent to do something like that.
She hiccuped and stood up from the bed and she exited the room.
She’s really hungry right now, she didn’t eat much at the cafeteria. She opened the counter and brought out noodles from it.
Juliana stepped in, looking upset and mad at Chloe for leaving without letting her know.
Luke was the one who brought her home after much pleading,she skipped work today and all thanks to Chloe.
“Seriously! You should have told me you would be leaving after having fun with Carson? You allowed me stay in school for hours waiting for you, what’s going on??” Juliana yelled, angrily.
“Am sorry for leaving the school without letting you know” Chloe apologized in a cracked voice without looking at her, Juliana knew something was wrong.
“Chloe,are you okay??” she asked worriedly but she didn’t say anything.
“am fine” she replied and turn to her and Juliana gasped on seeing her red and swollen eyes.
“Oh my god, what happened to your eyes?? There are swollen” Juliana gasped, stretching her hand to touch her face but shifted back.
“It’s nothing! Something entered my eyes but I’m really fine now” she sniffed and Juliana gave her a suspicious look.
“hand over the noodle, I’ll prepare something more healthy for the both of us,go rest..you don’t seem fine”
Chloe didn’t waste time in dropping the noodle on the table before leaving the kitchen, bursting into another round of tears.
“Did they broke up or something??” She asked no one in particular.
When she got into her room the blinking of her phone caught her attention, she climbed the bed and picked the phone…. she saw 20 missed calls and 10 messages from Carson and her anger increased. She didn’t know when she tapped on the message. She just found herself doing so even when she tried holding herself.
….Are you okay, babe?
….is everything fine with you?? Please pick up my calls

She gasped and went to her window,she pushed the curtain to the other side and she saw Carson standing beside his car.
Their eyes met, Carson was holding his phone,he smiled when he saw her and Chloe hissed and closed the curtain at once.
”is he sick or something??”

she remembered this very statement from her mom that day all because of him.

NEXT MORNING••
Dark circles were under Carson eyes coz he didn’t sleep at all last night,he was patiently waiting for Chloe to reply his messages and answer his calls at least but she didn’t.
He waited so long for her to open up but she didn’t,he had to go home and when he got home,he drank himself to stupor something he has never done before.
He is really sorry and he hopes Chloe can hear his own side of story.
His phone rang and his eyes brightened, thinking it was Chloe but the caller ID was saying otherwise..it was Luke.
He however picked up.
“Dude, where are you??” Luke screamed at the other end.
“Still in bed” he yawned.
“What!!! You know we have a practical today, right??”
“Don’t care”.
“has Chloe replied you yet??” He asked and he sighed.
“She won’t hear me out but I’ll keep trying,I don’t want to lose her” he stood up from the bed and started walking to the bathroom.
“I’ll talk to you later dude,I’ve something to catch up with” Luke ended the call.
“I won’t let you be till you forgive me and let me into your heart again” he assured himself.
CHLOE’S HOME••
Juliana was dressed up for school already but Chloe was still in her nightgown. Dark circles were under her eyes too since she cried through out last night.
if someone had told him in her dreams that Carson was the same guy that raped her years ago she is definitely gonna call that person a liar. She still can’t believe the same guy she fell in love with is the same guy she have been cursing ever day that passes.
“Chloe!! Chloe!! Chloe!!” Juliana shouted and she jerked, coming back to reality. “What were you thinking, gosh? I’ve been calling your name and you weren’t even listening!”
Chloe remained mute.
“Will you please tell me what’s going on,huh?? You’re making me worried. I thought we’re besties and we don’t keep things away from each other?? Carson stood outside for almost 3 hours and you didn’t let him in. Are you both having issues or…..”.
“Class will be starting soon and you should go…I won’t attend lectures today,I’ve somewhere to go” she replied and walked into the bathroom.
“Fine! suit yourself” Juliana grabbed her bag and left the house angrily.
AN ORPHANAGE ASYLUM••
The cab halted in front of the orphanage home. The building looks old at the outside but inside is another definition of beauty
“Thank you so much mister” she fake a smile and gave him his fare,he drove off afterwards.
She inhaled and exhaled deeply before approaching the building. the asylum don’t only accept orphans they also take care of kids whose parents aren’t wealthy enough to take care of them. Anytime she visits the orphanage she forgets all her worries because her source of joy is here already.
she was still walking when the mother superior came to meet her. A white rosary was in between her fingers.
“Mother” Chloe smiled as soon as she got to her.
“Chloe dear, you came?? ”
“Yeah…”
”Ryan will be so happy to see you”.
“How is he doing??” she asked.
“He’s doing fine here but he misses you. He talks about you at any given time, he really miss you and am sure he would be so happy to see you” The lady chuckled and they started walking in.
The children aren’t much and they were all gathered in a circle, playing. A cute little boy was sitting on his own, watching the other kids play. He hasn’t seen Chloe yet though.
Chloe stopped walking as she took her time to look at the boy, the boy got Carson’s looks and everything,the eyes, nose..he was a carbon copy of Carson, that rapist.
“Ry..an!!” She called happily and the little boy turned to her direction, his eyes lightened up the moment he saw his mother whom he haven’t seen for months now.
he flew from the bench he was sitting and ran to meet his beloved mom in full speed.
“Don’t fall son” Chloe warned but the boy didn’t mind as he clung onto Chloe tight, not wanting to let go.
” kids it’s time for our afternoon prayers, let’s go” The mother superior said and they kids grumbled as they walked away.
both mother and son found their way to the bench and they sat on it.
“How are you doing son?? Hope you’re getting better now?? Mother superior said you weren’t feeling too well days ago” Chloe said,her voice filled with calmness, warmness towards her son as she rubbed his hair.
“Am fine as you can see mom” he replied, swinging his hands.
“How’s aunt mom?? Why didn’t she followed you here?” He frowned,he was actually talking about Juliana.
“Your aunt has a lot of things doing now, but she sent her greetings ” she lied as she roughed his long hair. “So, Were you expecting me??” She asked and he nodded.
“Yap,I even had a dream last night and you were here with my dad” he giggled.
“Your what?”
“My dad… Wait,you promised you would come with my dad, remember?”
Chloe swallowed hard, looking away. She had promised him that any time she comes to visit his dad would come with her here, she only said that coz he won’t stop pestering her and she didn’t know he took it seriously.
“Your dad is busy and he…..”
Ryan eyes blinked back the tears that he has been holding, he really wants to see his dad so badly… those kids will definitely make fun of him now.
Chloe sighed sadly, she can’t bring herself to tell this little boy that his dad is a monster, she can’t.
“He came” his eyes were fixed on someone while he smiled happily. Chloe wasn’t seeing the person coz she was backing whoever that person was.

“I can’t believe I fell for your trick mom” he giggled and Chloe wasn’t getting him.
“What are you saying, Ryan??”
Ryan stood up from the chair and ran speedily to meet Carson who was still having a surprise look on his face.
“Dad! You came” the little boy smiled, holding onto Carson legs.
Episode 27 & 28 : Carson’s Guilt and Chloe’s Confusion
“Dad! You came” the little boy smiled, holding onto Carson legs.
Chloe stood up from the chair with wide eyes not wanting to believe what she’s seeing right now.
What the hell is Carson doing here?? Did he followed her?? Or did Juliana..nah, she didn’t tell her so there’s no way he would know. What’s is she going to do now??
she gave Carson a daring look,if looks can kill then Carson would have been buried by now.
Meanwhile Carson was still in shock…he has a son all this while?? Chloe got pregnant but he didn’t know if she gave birth or not…or did she adopt a child,no… there’s no way Chloe would think of adopting a child and the resemblance is even clear.
She is a strong lady for giving birth to their son even when she’s at a tender age, she didn’t even mind the risk and pain she was gonna face in the labour room, she still brought the baby into this world even when she despise her son father.
She needs an award,she really did great by raising her son all by herself without no one’s help.
He is really sorry and he hopes Chloe would forgive him for the sake of their son.
Ryan shook his legs which made him came back to reality. he smiled when he looked at him, he is really cute. he squatted to his level and he ruffled his soft hair.
“You’re my dad right??” He asked cheerfully and Carson hugged him.
Chloe didn’t move, instead she folded her arms under her breasts and scoffed.

Carson broke the hug and stared at him with lovingly eyes, he didn’t want to disappoint this happy boy, seems like Chloe hasn’t tell him yet.

Carson stood upright as he stared at them.
“I never knew dad was this rich mom” he squealed happily. “Am finally leaving here”
“Go join the others Ryan” Chloe said without blinking.

“I said…go join the others now” her voice almost came with a yell and Ryan flinched.

“O..kay” he smiled at Carson and he returned it. He left afterwards.
As soon as he left carson walked faster to chloe and he pulled her into a tight hug, Chloe froze at his touch..they broke up just yesterday but she’s f-cking missing him already but she doesn’t want to admit it.

I was actually trying to lure a girl into my trap but the girl was proving stubborn and she ran out of the bar and I followed her in my drunken state, I kept following her till we walked very far away from the bar before I could think of blinking my eyes I didn’t see the girl again and that was when I saw you and I thought you were the girl,it was when I woke up the next morning I remembered what happened and since then I started feeling guilty and….”

“Really?? That’s great. I thought he has left permanently again” he chuckled and chloe coughed nervously.
“So, I’ll be on my way now” she informed and his face fell.
“You’re leaving without taking me with you,again??” His face swelled up, indicating him wanting to cry.
“Baby am sorry but you can’t come with me. I can’t leave you all alone in the house while I attend lectures,you can’t stay alone all by yourself”
“I want to go with you mom! Don’t leave me here” he cried.
“I wish I could son but I’ve to attend classes,I’ve skipped school more than twice this week and if I take you along I will have to skip school tomorrow… just have exercise a little patience and wait till mid term Brea and I promise to bring you home”
“dad said he’s gonna take me along with him but he left already now you too? You both don’t want right? It’s fine” he turned around in a swift move and ran from Chloe’s hands.
“What am I gonna do now??” She groaned, feeling frustration already.
4PM..
Juliana wore her cross bag across her shoulder as she set for work, school closed real quick today and she is so happy right now coz at least she’s gonna get to work early unlike the other days. She just hoped her boss won’t fire her now coz she’s gonna go crazy of she does.
Chloe hasn’t come back from wherever she had went to and she don’t give a fuck. she didn’t bother calling her since she didn’t trust her so well to tell her what was bothering her so badly.
she started hearing voices outside and she halted, wondering who that is. The door opened and Chloe and smiling Ryan stepped in, shocking the hell out of Juliana..
“Ryan!!” she muttered in shock and the little boy ran her.
“Aunt Julie” he smiled widely… Juliana caressed his hair and she exchange glance with Chloe, giving her a questioning look but she look away quickly.
She broke the hug and held his cheeks, lightly.
“How are you little champ?” She asked, playfully.
“Fine!! Ehn… guess what aunt” he palmed his lips and clapped his hands.

“My dad finally came” he jumped and Juliana crossed her arms under her breasts.
“Your.. dad”.
“Yh, he came to the orphanage asylum..gosh,I didn’t know it was him at first but something in me keeps telling me it was him… and it was really him..he so cute with his blue coloured hair….gosh,my dream finally came through r” he said funnily.

Chloe walked to Juliana and tapped her shoulder and she looked at her.
“I promise to tell you everything once you comes back…go to work now” she said and Juliana sighed, she wanted to say something but Chloe beat her to it.
“I promise to tell you every thing okay”.
Juliana kissed Ryan forehead and waved him goodbye before leaving the house.
After a very long talk with the mother superior at the orphanage, she finally agreed to take stubborn Ryan with her for just today and tomorrow and she is gonna take him back tomorrow evening and he agreed.
NEXT MORNING••
“I hate what you’re doing Ryan,you know that right?” Chloe said, from the kitchen.
She was making toasted bread and eggs with tea for him. She carried them on the tray and she dropped the tray on the dinning table.
“I really need to attend lectures,do you want mummy to fail??” She asked and he shook his head, without saying a word.
He was sitting on the couch while looking at the door as if he was expecting someone.
Chloe walked to him and touched his forehead to feel his temperature,it was normal.
Chloe sat close to him and started caressing his hair.
“why are you quiet all of a sudden?? Are you mad at me?? Did I yelled at you too much?? Say something please”
He didn’t say anything and chloe sighed.
“Are you missing your friends at the orphanage already??”
“When is dad coming?? I’m missing him already” he finally said and Chloe shook her head in disbelief.
“Erm…”
“You said he’s gonna come today, remember”
“I remember saying that but….”
“Call him,I want too talk to him”.
“But Ryan, your dad might be busy yunno” she scratched her brow.
“Okay but I want to talk to him through your phone,call him” his voice was a little bit cracked.
“your food will get cold”.
“Am not hungry!!!, I’ll only eat after I have talked to my dad” he stubbornly said and he stood up and stormed out of the living room.

Episode 29 & 30 : Chloe Faces Her Fears Head-On

“Am not hungry!!!, I’ll only eat after I have talked to my dad” he stubbornly said and he stood up and stormed out of the living room.
“Ryan!!!!” Chloe shouted in frustration as she stood up and ran after him.
Ryan entered Chloe’s room and he wanted to lock the door from inside but Chloe was fast enough to grab the door even before he could close it.
Ryan rolled his little eyes and went to bed,he jumped on it and drew the pillow to himself, hugging it tightly.
Chloe closed the door behind and sighed out loudly before approaching him, she then sat on the bed.
“Ry..an” she called and tried to touch him but he slapped her hand off.
“I want to talk to my dad!!” he said, and turned to the other side the bed.
“Why are you being so stubborn all of a sudden??” She yelled.
“You’re stressing the hell out of me already… do you want me to take you back to the orphanage?? I won’t mind taking you back there this instance. What the hell is going on with you??” she shouted and hot tears started rolling down Ryan’s cheek.
He left the pillow he was holding and crawled to Chloe and wrapped his tiny hands around her waist and he started crying on her chest.
“Am sorry mom, but.. I want to see and talk to my daddy” he sniffed.
Chloe caressed and kissed his hair not knowing what to do.
The door bell rang and Chloe furrowed her brow wondering who that is.
She raised his head up and kissed his forehead, she then wiped his tears with her thumb.

“Fine, you wanna talk to your dad, right?” she asked and he nodded.
“Okay I’ll call your dad” she said in a convincing way coz telling him this will make him calm down a little and it worked.
“You will??” his eyes lightened up in excitement.

“But firstly, let’s go check who’s at the door” She held his hand and both of them left the room heading towards the living room.
Chloe made him sit on the couch and she went to the door, she didn’t bother checking who the person was through the door hole.
She opened the door at once and her smile disappeared as soon as she saw Carson.
He was looking hot and handsome as always. A blue designer bag was on his right hand, he flashed a smile at her and her heart skipped.
She f-cking missed him alot.
she missed every single thing about him…. he didn’t call her yesterday nor texted her and she was kinda sad.
he knew Ryan was in here coz earlier he had went to the orphanage and mother superior told him Chloe brought him home yesterday.

Carson hugged him so tightly while pecking his hair, he disengaged from the hug and both of them started walking in and Chloe moved away from the door as father and son entered.
“Were you waiting for me,son?” Carson chuckled and Ryan laughed.
Carson dropped the bag gently on the floor and he sat down on the couch.
“I thought you wouldn’t come, gosh..I think mom and I should come live at your house that would be better coz am gonna see my dad every day” he giggled and jumped on Carson’s body.
Chloe scoffed and carried the food she prepared for Ryan before and went to the kitchen. It’s cold already, she’s just gonna prepare something else for him later whenever he is ready to eat.
“Did you stressed your mom out??” Carson asked, staring at Chloe disappearing figure.
Ryan pouted and climbed down.
“I was missing you and I told her to call you and she became angry I don’t know why though but I apologized to her already dad” he pinched his palm.
“It’s fine” he picked the bag and gave it to him and he took it slowly. “It’s a present” Carson said.
“wow..I love presents, it’s been long since I got one” he smiled and hugged the blue bag to himself.
“Go..go check them out” he winked and he Ryan tiptoed and kissed his cheek.
“Okay..but promise not to leave like you did yesterday” he brought out his pinky finger and shoved it to Carson’s face. “Pinky promise” he smiled and Carson brought his finger down.
“There is something really enticing in that bag son,..go check it out” he said, trying to avoid his demand.
“Okay..if you say so” he muttered and he ran out of the living room.
Carson stood up from the couch and he looking around the house. Ever since they started dating he hasn’t even for once entered the house,he only talks to her outside.
His eyes caught the huge picture that was hanged on the wall. Chloe was carrying little Ryan on her arms and a wide smile was plastered on her face. She was looking so happy in the pic.
Chloe finally came out of the kitchen, she halted when she saw Carson backing her,he was still staring keenly at the picture.
“you really did great taking care of our son for five years” he said without turning to her and Chloe rolled her eyes.
Carson turned to her and he started moving to her and she started shifting backwards, nervously.
Her back accidentally hit the dinner table and her heart started racing faster, Carson got to her and he caged her there with both hands resting beside her.
Their eyes locked and Chloe was trying her best to look away but she couldn’t resist even when she tried.

“Chloe get a grip of yourself!!!” that was her inner mind screaming at her but she knows she wants him so badly and he wants him to continue.
She loves him so much but whenever she sees his face, memories of what happened that night kept coming to her head.
She really needs to forgive him for the sake of her son coz it’s clearly obvious that Ryan wants him, that boy wants his dad with him.

Carson also smiled liking the sound of him calling him dad,he is still finding it hard to believe that he’s now a father..gosh!!
Chloe came back already, cladded in a red T-shirt,she didn’t change the shorts coz she find it okay enough.
“Thanks for the other toys though, I’ll go play with them now” he said and ran back to the room.
“Chloe… We need to talk” he said, focusing his gaze on her.
“I thought I told you to stay away from me and my son,we don’t need your help”
Carson shook his head in disbelief..he thought he was beginning to win her back just now. What changed??
“Am sorry Chloe!! I know I really hurt you so much and I’m still feeling guilty of it till now.. let’s forget about the past for the sake of our son.
“Forget about the past just like that you say??” She shouted and Carson sighed tiredly.

“Do you know how long I stayed at the labour room trying to bring forth my child to life?? Do you know how I managed to survive by my own when everyone turned their back at me including my sister??” She yelled and Carson gasped.

“Nine months came and I became scared at their time,I was so scared coz I often hear stories of how most young girls of my age died while giving birth to their baby but the lady keeps telling me everything will be okay and she stayed by my side till the very day..the day I saw hell at the labour room, I stayed there for almost six hours trying to push Ryan out.
I finally brought him into this world and that was the most happiest the of my life, the pains I faced during the childbirth vanished immediately I saw him staring at him while I carried him in my arms” Tears were starting to pour from her eyes like an ocean already.
“I got discharged and the lady I stayed with died after we celebrated Ryan’s birthday,and since then I started working on my own to take care of i and my child…. I took him to the orphanage when he clocked a year and six months coz I had to continue my schooling” she hiccuped.
“Do you even know why I needed that money you told me you’re gonna deduct from my salary so badly?? Do you??”
“Do you even know the painful part of everything?? The nurse said It’s gonna take a miracle before I can give birth again reason is because I was too young to experience…..” She started coughing even before she could complete her words and Carson rushed to the freezer to get her water.
“Am so sorry,I didn’t know you went through all that all because of my silly mistake,am really sorry” he uncapped the can and gave her the water and gulped everything down at once.
“I’m satisfied with Ryan being me only child for the rest of my life I won’t mind ” he said.
Chloe wasn’t saying anything… she was only sniffing.
“Chloe… please, for the sake of our son forgive and forget about the past,I know it’s really hard but for our son’s sake, please!!” He pleaded.
He was really hurt when he heard Chloe’s story. He’s a jerk and an idiot..he just hope she forgives him.
He stretched his hand forward to her face and he wiped her tears before pulling her into a deep and heartwarming hug.
Chloe didn’t pushed him away like she normally does, she really needed a shoulder to cry on right now.
