Episode 37 & 38 : The Struggle to Forgive and Forget
NEXT MORNING, CARSON MANSION••
They finished having their breakfast already which Chloe prepared. Ryan was sitting on the dinning chair while Chloe was seated close to him.
Carson dressed in a black baggy pants and a white t-shirt, descending from the stairs,his hair were back to it normal colour and Chloe wasn’t surprise.
“Am going to the perfumery” Carson said as soon as he got to them. Chloe stood up from her chair, approaching him.
“Really? Like this?” She scanned him all through.
“Yeah, I won’t spend much time there,I want to check out how things are going on there” he said and Chloe nodded.
He cupped her cheek wanting to kiss her but they paused when they found a cute pairs of hazel eyes staring at them.
“go on,as long as doing that will provide me a baby sister then do it.. don’t worry I won’t look” he turned to the other side and the couple chuckled at their son behaviour.
Carson gave Chloe a short kiss before going to meet Ryan.
“I’ll be back soon son, don’t stress your mom too much okay” Carson said and he nodded.
Carson left afterwards.
“Mom” Ryan called and Chloe moved her gaze to him.
“What is it son?”
“Did you and dad continued the unfinished business last night? Am i expecting a baby sister any moment from now?” He asked innocently and Chloe gasped not knowing what to say or do.
“S..o..n” she shuttered.
“Am expecting a baby sis soon, right?” He gave her a sweet smile.
“Son listen, your dad was only joking when he said those words yesterday” she said in a pleasing manner hoping Ryan would believe her.
“Is that so? Then what was your lip doing on dad’s own yesterday even a while ago?” He blinked and Chloe took a bread from one of the trays and she dipped it into his mouth.
“Eat up son and stop asking questions” Chloe said and he rolled his eyes with a pout.
BRIELLE HOME ••
Inside the huge and luxurious mansion brielle could be seen dressed in her nightie as she ran through the stairs. Her hair was disheveled, she just woke up.
“Dad..dad” she called and the man in his late fifties turned to her, he was dressed in a black well ironed tuxedo and a guard was beside him holding his files,he was leaving for work.
“what is it Brielle?” He asked, checking his time on his expensive wrist watch that was on his wrist.
“Good morning dad..emm.. have you talked to Mr Brooks?” she asked, bitting her buttom lips.
“Remove your soul and body from holly college Brielle” he said and Brielle blinked repeatedly.
“huh?”
“There’s nothing I can do Brielle but don’t worry too much coz your documents are ready and you will be leaving for new York soon, you will continue your life there…”
Brielle almost fell but she used the stairs rail to support herself…
did she just heard her dad correctly or?
“Yes Brielle,get ready..you will be leaving soon” he turned to leave but Brielle grabbed his tuxedo and he turned to her harshly.
“Dad please do something, I don’t wanna go to new York, dad please!!” she begged and he yanked her hands off and he scoffed before leaving the house with the guards.
“Noooo” she screamed.
PARKS MANSION••
Jennie was brought home by Carson’s men as early as six this morning, her body was filled up with bruises. The pains she is feeling right now is so unbearable for her, she sighed and opened her closet and brought out a big hoodie from it.
Jennie wore the hoodie and a short bum short and she stormed out of the room.
The maids heads were all facing the ground as they body shook In fear.
“Where were you all last night?” Jennie roared angrily but no one said a word.
“I asked a question right?..I said, where were you all last night!” She yelled and they flinched.
A guard ran in and he bowed in front of Jennie.
“Miss, someone is here to see you” the guard said and she raised her brow, wondering who that was.
“I’m coming back for you all, just wait” she spoke up and turned, she then left for outside.
When she got outside, she saw no one but when the guard opened the gate she saw a familiar figure walking towards her angrily and immediately the person got to her, she landed a heavy slap across Jennie’s cheek.
“What the f-ck!” Jennie gasped and returned the slap twice to the person.
A hot fight began between the two girls, they were pulling each other hair and cursing each other.
“I hate you so much Jennie!!!” Brielle yelled as soon as they stopped.
“the feeling is mutual fool!!!”Jennie yelled back.
“I can’t believe I took your step,I can’t believe I listened to you… You’re so heartless” Brielle cried and Jennie bursted into an hysterical laughter.
“You and Princeton are both my toys.. I succeeded in using you both to my satisfaction and now you both are finally out of the way” Jennie smiled.
“How could you? I thought we were beginning to be friends”.
“Friends? Oh c’mon, there’s no way I’ll want to befriend someone like you or even that wretched Princeton. Yunno,i was even thinking of removing you out of the picture because I don’t want anybody to share my Carson never! I want him all to myself, but thank god Carson made it easy for me by expelling you” Jennie started laughing like a witch she is.
“So this was all your plan huh? ” Brielle cried and Jennie chuckled.
“Thankgod you figured it out but it was to late before you did” she flaunt her red hair proudly.
Brielle wiped her tears and left angrily.
Jennie mind went back to what Chloe did to her last night,it isn’t over yet… she’s gonna make sure she kill Chloe.
She smirked and went back inside.
THE BROOKS MANSION, 4PM••
Carson halted in front of his parents mansion and he came down from the car with Chloe at the same time.
Carson opened the back seat and Ryan jumped down from the car, having a smiley face on.
“Do my grandparents live in this huge mansion,dad?” Ryan asked and Carson nodded.
“Wow!! Can’t wait to see them ” Ryan smiled and Carson ruffled his hair.
Chloe was standing in one spot, with nervous look written all over her face. Carson had announced to her that they will be coming to see his parents.
“Am scared,Carson” she said, Carson sighed and carried Ryan on his arms.
“you think they won’t like you?” he asked and she took her lips in.
“They are gonna like you,trust me” he gave her a reassuring smile. “let’s go in” he said and took Chloe’s hand and they started approaching the door.
The guards at the door left the way as they entered,the door opened on it own, immediately it did Chloe fear increased.
The sitting room was quiet when they entered, meanwhile Chloe eyes were wandering around the mansion in awe,the sparkling chandeliers, the little dazzling gleam of lights… everything is just perfect.
“his parents are so wealthy” she smiled but her smile faded when various thoughts started running through her head.
What if they don’t like her because she isn’t wealthy?
What if his mom like high class girls?
Her palm became sweaty immediately she saw Carson’s sister descending the stairs.
Chloe was trying to hide her sweaty hands but Carson pressed her hand and gave her a sweet and charming smile.
“Just relax baby mama” he said.
“Mom… brother is here already!!” Emily said while staring at her phone, she hasn’t even seen them yet.
she finally switched off the phone and she halted when she saw Ryan and her eyes moved to Chloe, Emily expression was unreadable.
Mrs Brooks also came too and her expression was still the same as that of Emily. His dad wasn’t around.
“Mom,sis…I want to introduce you both to my son and my wife to be” he said and Chloe gasped.
“Wife to be?” she mumbled and Carson nodded.
“Son?” Mrs Brooks asked taking slow step towards Chloe.
Chloe bowed as soon as she got to her.
“good evening ma” she bowed nervously and Mrs Brook hugged Chloe tightly to herself taking everyone in the sitting room by surprise.
“oh dear” she kissed Chloe’s hair and Chloe breathe out in relief.
“You were the girl right?” she asked immediately she disengaged from the hug.
Chloe didn’t know Carson told his parents about the rape incident.
“Yeah”
“Thank you for forgiving and coming back to my son,I really apologized for what he did to you. Am sure you got pregnant because of that, right?” She said, staring at Ryan.
“Yeah”
“Am really sorry on my son behalf…he also lose himself for years, there’s no day that passes that he didn’t feel guilty for what he did,am really sorry”
“Don’t apologize ma’am. It all the past now” she said.
“You’re right dear” she walked forward and carried Ryan and he smiled revealing his white teeth.
“He looks so much like my son” she chuckled and they started walking to the dinning.
Emily rolled her eyes and went back upstairs, Carson saw her but he pretend like he didn’t.
“I told you she’s gonna like you, don’t worry about my dad he is gonna like you too” he pecked her lips when Mrs Brooks wasn’t looking at them.
“But your sister…”
“She will come around” he held her soft hand and they started walking to the dinning too.
AN HOUR LATER••
Chloe found joy and happiness talking to Carson mom, she didn’t know that she was this carefree she thought she wasn’t gonna like her at first. They talked like mother and daughter.
Carson and Chloe are currently standing at a distance watching ryan who was talking with Mrs Brooks and both of them were smiling at each other like they’ve known each other for years.
“Your mom is kind and lovable, she even show me motherly love….” she chuckled.
Her phone started ringing and when she checked it,it was Juliana calling and she smiled before answering.
“Missing my presence already?” she asked.
“some people are here and they said they wants to see you” Juliana said over the phone.
“Really? Did they reveal their identities?”
“No babes, come quick please..am beginning to get scared ” Juliana ended the call and she turned to Carson.
“What’s the matter baby mama?” Carson asked, trying to read her expression.
“I don’t really know but I need to leave” she said, wanting to leave but Carson held her back.
“Why?”
“Anna said some people are in my apartment waiting for me”
“Were you expecting someone today?” he asked and she shook her head negatively.
“I’ll take you there” Carson said and she didn’t declined.
“Wait..what about Ryan?” she asked and they turn their gaze to them.
“He will be fine here” he said as the walked to Ryan and Mrs Brook.
“Are you two leaving already? I want to spend enough time with my grandson,I want to know him better” she said, playing with Ryan’s cheek.
“sure mom,we will be back soon” Chloe said and she squatted in front of Ryan, caressing his hair.
“Son,me and your dad have somewhere to go and if you don’t mind….”
“You both should go, I’ll be fine here.. grandma is cool” he held Chloe’s face and kissed her cheeks. He also gesture for Carson to bent down and when he did he pecked his cheek too.
“Awwn… isn’t my grandson so lovable!” Mrs Brooks chuckled which made them laugh.
The ride to Chloe’s place was just an hour and half, they stopped in front of Chloe’s apartment.
“I’ve a bad feeling about this” Chloe said, getting down from the car.
She hasn’t taken a step when she started hearing familiar voices,her legs shook as she walked further.
“Are you okay?” He asked and she shrugged the voice from her head.
“it’s nothing, let’s just go inside” she smiled and they started walking in.
“Finally” Juliana wiped the invisible sweats from her forehead.
Chloe froze when she saw the people she despise so much staring at her and again she started hearing voices in her head.
*Don’t come to this house if you don’t abort that bastard in your womb.
*There’s nothing I can do sis, just abort the baby,come on.
*You’re nothing but a disgrace to this family…
Right before her was her mom,her sister Cassie who look exactly like her and her dad.
Cassie was blushing while looking at Carson.
“I need a gun” Chloe muttered,not taking her eyes from them most especially her mom who was having a pitiful look on her face but she don’t care right now coz this was the same expression she gave her mom years ago.
“Wh…at?” Carson shuttered.
“Give me a gun” she said as her face darkened.
Episode 39 & 40 : A New Hope
“Give me a gun” Chloe said as her face darkened.
“A gun?” Carson said inwardly trying to hold Chloe but she slapped his hand off.
Carson eyes went to cassie who was bitting her lips while staring at him. The resemblance is clear and he knew instantly that these people are Chloe’s parents.
He returned his gaze to Chloe and he met her breathing heavily,her chest falling and rising as she stared at her mom. She clenched her fists tightly.
Juliana stood there fanning herself not knowing what to do exactly.
The tension surrounding the house was beginning to get hot.
Jade and her husband face was filled with guilt,they regretted turning their back on chloe when she needed them the most.
Tears started dropping from jade eyes freely like a rainfall.
“Chloe dear… it’s your mom” she said, taking slow steps towards her.
“Don’t come close.. don’t you dare” Chloe gritted her teeth but she kept on moving.
Tears was falling from her eyes as she walks, she finally got to chloe and she tried touching her.
“I said don’t come close” Chloe palm flew to her cheek in a swift move and everyone in the room gasped.
Carson was shocked to the bones,he wasn’t expecting that from Chloe.
“Chloe…how dare you?? she is our mom!!” Cassie said angrily and walked to chloe and she received her own slap from Chloe as well.
Chloe pushed Carson out of the way and stormed out of the house without looking back, and carson followed her.
FLASHBACK,A WEEK AFTER CHLOE WAS DISOWNED.
The guards opened the huge gate for Chloe to entered and she entered hurriedly, she wasn’t even expecting the guards there to let her in. Her face brightened up when she saw Cassie making videos to post on IG. Chloe sighed in relieve, maybe her sister might listen to her.
Cassie smiled as she finished making the video.
she wanted to go inside when she felt a pair of eyes staring at her, she scoffed when she turned to look Chloe.
“sis” Chloe called as she approached her. Her boobs and some other parts of her body looks bigger due to the pregnancy.
“Wow..is this my baby sis? I can’t even recognize her anymore, I think I should get pregnant as well” she spat in disgust but that wasn’t Chloe problem right now.
she hasn’t eaten anything since morning and she might collapse soon if care isn’t taken.
“Are parents around?” She asked, ignoring her attitude.
“Wow! Have you finally decided to abort that thing in your womb? Great choice sis” she asked and Chloe sighed out not knowing what to say to the person she normally calls elder sister.
At that moment jade came outside and she scoffed and gave Chloe a hateful glare before going to meet her. Immediately chloe saw her she ran to her and knelt in front of her.
“Mom please,let me in..I’ve nowhere to go and I and my baby are hungry,mom…”
“Don’t tell me that thing is still in your tummy?” Jade pointed and Cassie laughed.
“Don’t do this to me mom” Chloe cried, hugging her legs but she wriggled her leg from Chloe tight grip.
“Wait–did I heard you correctly? Your baby? Haven’t you terminate the pregnancy already?” She asked and tears fell from Chloe eyes.
she couldn’t believe her own family would do something as painful as this to her, they didn’t even consider her safety.. what if she lose her life while aborting the baby? What if she lose her womb in the process? Just what if….
“I don’t want to,I want to keep him or her” she sniffed.
“Mom you see” Cassie shook her head. “she wasn’t rape at her, she wants to keep the baby badly coz her boyfriend told her to” she rolled her eyes.
“Shut it! Shut it, will you? I told you all I don’t have a boyfriend, have I ever mentioned having a boyfriend to you before? Have I?” she yelled, ignoring the fact that Cassie is older than her.
Jade walked to chloe angrily and slapped her across her face.
“How dare you talk to you sister like that?” she said and Chloe rubbed her stinging cheek. “I told you to terminate that pregnancy coz our reputation is at stake here.. what do you think people will say when they found out that you’re pregnant? Other people out there us as examples while talking but what did you do,you choose to disgrace me right?”
“I was raped” Chloe yelled angrily.
“Stop telling me that rubbish!!”
“I’m not lying”
“Leave..I don’t want to see your face anywhere close to this house again, leave!” she signalled for the guards to come and when they did she told them to chase Chloe out of the mansion.
“Mom no!!!” she yelled as soon as she felt the guards tight grip on her arms.
“Mom please!!!” she cried as they dragged her away. “I’ve nowhere to go,let me in please! This child is your grandchild! Give me something to eat at least! Cassie!! Mom!!!”
They succeeded in pushing her out of the mansion and the gate was shut to her face loudly.

The people commented as they walked away. Some even took pictures of her.
Chloe sat in front of gate and she folded her legs to her chest, sobbing.
“should I abort the baby? What if I die in the process? I don’t want to die” she said and the gate opened slowly and she quickly stood up.
She smiled when she saw her nanny approaching her,she is the only one who understood and believe her.
“Take this little cash and use it to feed yourself and your child” she pressed some money into chloe’s palm.
“You believe me right?” she hiccuped and she cleaned up Chloe’s tears.
“I believe you sweetheart,I saw you that night” she said and she gave Chloe a mini phone.
“my sister’s address is in that phone, she lives at the countryside,go meet her and tell her It was me who told you to come” she said and Chloe hugged her tightly, crying on her shoulder.
Tiny drop of rain started dropping on Chloe body and it brought her back to reality. She was walking at the corner of the busy road. Carson wasn’t with her coz chloe was out of sight before he came outside to follow her.
“What do they want now? Are they here to mock me or what?” she laughed dryly and as of the heavens weren’t on her side it started raining heavily and people started running Helter skelter to different directions to find a safer place to stay in till the rain stops.
Chloe didn’t leave the rain she kept on walking to god knows where.
Mrs Brooks smiled brightly as she hugged Ryan for the tenth time now,she loves this little boy which happens to be her grandson so much and she’s attracted to him already.
When Carson told her what he did to her Chloe accidentally she was so disappointed in him, she scolded him so much coz she knows within herself that she didn’t brought Carson up that way.
she ruffled ryan hair one last time and she stood which made ryan pouted.
“Where are you going grandma?” He asked.
“oh dear, I’m going to get my phone upstairs. I need to call your grandfather” she smiled and Ryan face turn into a surprise look.
“I will like to see him too” he said and she chuckled.
“That’s why I want to call him, I want him to see his little grandson” she caressed his cheek. “I’ll be right back okay, just wait here” she said and started walking up to her room upstairs.
Ryan sighed, bitting the chocolate bar Mrs Brooks gave him,his little eyes wandering around the whole place.
He suddenly missed his parents but he is trying so hard not to make it obvious.
Emily folded her arms under her breasts as she stared at ryan from where she was standing, she started walking towards him with her smirk on her face.
Ryan stood up from couch and ran to her front happily..
“you’re my dad sister right? And that makes you my aunt, right?” he asked cheerfully but Emily didn’t reply, instead she bent to his level and took the chocolate from him forcedly, taking a bite from it.
Ryan frowned immediately.
“that’s..mine” he pointed at the chocolate.
“Really? This?… take” she wriggled the chocolate in front of him and he stretch his hand forward trying to collect the chocolate from her but a dirty smirk appeared on her innocent face and she threw the last piece of chocolate into her mouth, chewing on it slowly.
Ryan blinked back tears, little things like this makes him cry.
“You’re a bad aunt” he muttered.
Emily used her finger to flicked his forehead and Ryan started crying immediately.
“You and your mom made a great mistake by coming into my brother’s life, he is mine and mine alone” she said and she pushed his head and he fell on the cold tiles.
“Oh my” Mrs Brooks gasped, climbing door the stairs fastly. Emily face was blessed with a slap and her hair and her face flew to one direction.
“Ryan dear” Mrs Brooks ran to Ryan and she carried him on her arms, hugging him.
Emily hissed loudly and turn back and left.
“Are you okay?” she asked worriedly.
“No,I want my mom” he shook his head and Mrs Brooks gulped.
“You’re my daughter’s friend right?” Jade asked and Juliana nodded.
“Did she gave birth to my grandchild?” Mr Harper asked and Juliana expression changed into an angry one.
“We didn’t see any information about him though, where is him or her?” Jade asked too.
She is trying to keep her cool but this woman and her husband keeps testing her patience.
Did she just heard them correctly? Grandchild… some people are just too funny.
“No she didn’t.. she didn’t give birth” she lied.
“she should have abort the baby when we told her to” she rolled her eyes and Juliana looked at her unbelievably.
“Watch your mouth Cassie” jade warned.
“You all should leave” Juliana announced and they gave her a weird look.
“can’t you see it’s raining” Cassie yelled.
“And do I look like I care, leave now” she shouted and they gasped.
“But this is my sister house”.
“You’re so funny,if not that you’re my friend elder sister I would have beat the hell out of you this minute…get the hell out of my house now!!”
“Fine,we will leave” Mr Harper said. “But can you talk to chloe….”
“The same mouth and tongue you all used in badmouthing her,use that same mouth to ask for her forgiveness… now leave,all of you!!” she said and they started leaving the house one by one.
Juliana shut the door loudly as she exhaled and inhaled. Her phone started ringing and her face lightened when she saw the person calling.
Chloe was still walking under the rain in tears,her tears has mixed with the rain and more tears was still coming.
The rain stopped dropping and she had to look up to see what was stopping the rain from pouring. A umbrella was standing firm above her head as a familiar scent hit her nose.
“Cars..on” she shuttered, looking up at him.
“you made me worried,baby mama” he said.
“Am sorry if I did” she tried holding back her tears but her soft eyes didn’t let her.
“Am sorry” he apologized.
“Why are you apologizing??”
“I’m the reason why you separated with your family, you should be angry with me not them”
“You’re not the reason Carson…you didn’t do anything”
“even if it was my imaginary boyfriend who impregnated me and ran away would they have asked me to terminate the pregnancy too? They didn’t even think about my safety at all” she continued.
“They turned their rotten backs at me when I needed then the most, they made me suffer, they made me almost regret coming into this world, I almost terminate the pregnancy because of their pressure” she shouted.
“Wait– were they expecting me to run into their arms like a moron immediately I saw them” she said and Carson pinched his brow.
“But why are they here exactly? To apologize or what? They don’t fit to call a grandparents, their loyal daughter will give them grandchildren… I’m an orphan and I’ll forever remain one” she wanted to leave the umbrella but Carson pulled her back and grabbed her waist, and before chloe knew what was going on Carson soft lips were on hers already.
Carson actually did that to calm her down and it worked coz she didn’t pushed him away.
Episode 41 & 42 : Chloe’s Final Confrontation

The couple were still kissing crazily, chloe slender hands went to his neck and she pulled him closer so she could gain access to his lips properly.
Carson switched the umbrella to his left hand and his right hand started doing wonders to chloe waist.
It was no longer raining heavily like before,it was starting to stop gradually.
Passerby couldn’t help but blush at the couple,some even took pics but they didn’t stop.
…. gosh, this is crazy.

They stared at the couple in awe as they walked away.
They finally broke the kiss and chloe shifted back shyly, she couldn’t believe they just kissed openly.
Carson brought the umbrella down when he noticed the rain has stopped.
“Feeling better now?” He asked and she nodded.
“I think kiss should be in a first aid kit from now on, don’t you think?” He teased and chloe hit his chest playfully.
He held her hand and he started taking her to his car,he brought his car along as well.
“Don’t think about your parents too much, take your time to decide” he said.
“There’s nothing to think about there, I won’t forgive them and that is final” she said and he sighed.
“But they’re still your parent even though they wronged you in the past” he said and she scoffed.
“I know you’ve a kind heart…if you can forgive the person who caused all of this in the first place why wouldn’t you forgive your parents….You shouldn’t have slapped your mom”.
“How’s Ryan doing at your parents place?” She asked, changing the topic.
“Mom told me he said he wants us to come over to take him home”.
“But I thought he said he would be fine there, gosh that kid” Carson opened the car door and she entered.
BROOKS MANSION•••
“Grandma… aren’t my parents coming yet?” Ryan asked for the fifth time now. He was sitting beside Mrs Brooks.
“They will be here soon, exercise a little patience” she kissed his hair. “But I thought you said you wanted to stay with grandma?” she made a face which ryan find funny.
“That aunt is scary” he shook his head while staring at the door and at that moment the door opened, carson and chloe came in.
Ryan butt flew from the couch and in a flash he was already on Chloe’s arms.
“Mom!!!” His face beamed with smile.
“Gosh, baby my clothes are wet”
“I don’t care..I wanna be with you” he hugged her neck tightly.
Emily who was watching them from the stairs scoffed, carson saw her and he scratched his forehead before going to meet her.
“So where did you both went to? But it’s fine if you don’t wanna tell me”.
Chloe looked at her and sighed as she opened up to her.
She gave Ryan her phone to watch movie so it would distract him from listening to their conversation. She don’t want Ryan to know anything about her and his father past.
“What? Your parents did that?,” Mrs Brooks gasped unbelievably.
“And they came out of the blues today for what exactly?”
“It must be really hard for you to be on your own..am just imagining the pains which you went through all because of my son” she said sadly and chloe hugged her and she hugged her back.
“It’s fine mom. Those are my past and I will try hard to forget about them”.
Carson entered the room since it was opened widely, as soon as she entered Emily went to close the door.
she took some strand of her hair into her hand and she started twirling it around.
“what was the look you gave my girlfriend when we came this evening even a while ago?” Carson asked.
“I don’t like her, simple” she scoffed.
“Why?”
“she’s gonna take you away from me and I don’t want that, brother” she folded her arms under her breasts.
“Your opinion doesn’t even matter at all,. She’s the mother of my child, she’s my other half, she’s my heartbeat, she’s my everything I love her so very much”.
“What about me? Was she the reason why you no longer care about me? Was she the reason why you don’t even call me to ask if I’m fine?… she’s your everything? What about me? Who am I to you?” She snapped angrily.
“Emily…”
“Don’t call my name!. I’ve always been there for you when you were lonely trying to cheer you up but she came out of the blues and you just forget about me just like that” she spat and carson eyes widened.
“seriously? I love you sis. Why will you say such a thing?”

“Are you drunk or what?”
“Am in love with you carson. I’ve been trying to get rid of that stupid feeling but I couldn’t help it….” she blurted out and Carson eyes almost popped out of its socket.

A blinding slap landed on her cheek and she gasped coz this will be the first time carson would be raising his hand on her.
Carson and Emily aren’t biological siblings, Emily was adopted and brought into the brooks family when she was five and since then they’ve always behave like real siblings. Most people aren’t aware of this.
Carson was so happy when his parents brought her in. He was a lonely boy then,no sister or brother to play with and his parents came with an idea to adopt a child which they did and hearing this kind of statement from someone he sees and calls a sister really broke his heart like hell.
“You’re sick,Emily. You’re sick and I thought maybe that slap might reset your memory. Are you okay now?” He asked hoping Emily would just tell him she was only kidding.
“Am madly in love with you. Every fucking thing I said are true” she tiptoed and cupped his cheek into her palm and before Carson could think of blinking she pressed his lips on his.
Carson pushed her away from himself and she staggered back,she wasn’t feeling remorseful for what she just did at all.
Carson wiped his lips with the back of his palm, looking speechless.
“Come back to your senses Emily” he yelled and she chuckled.
“Impossible. I’m madly in love with you already and there’s nothing you or that bitch and your so…” Carson rushed to her and grabbed her neck tightly.
“don’t ever referred my girlfriend as bitch again and don’t ever say trash about my son again coz if you do am gonna bury you alive and no one is gonna find out” he said coldly, almost strangling her to death.
Tears were leaving Emily eyes gradually, she tried taking Carson hands from her neck but it was impossible, carson grip was so tight.
He released her and she started coughing while breathing heavily.
“When did it started?” he asked, taking his gaze from her.
“Huh?”
“When the f-ck did all this bullshit you’re saying started?” He yelled and Emily shifted backward.
“When I turned sixteen. I love–“
“Say the last word and find yourself back at the orphanage tonight” he interuppted and Emily eyes became teary.
she sat on the bed and palmed her face, sobbing.
“I started developing this crazy feelings sixteen…I tried getting rid of the stupid feeling but it was impossible” she sniffed, squeezing her palms together. ”I always get jealous anytime I see you with the opposite gender. Part of me liked the old you. Part of me was happy when you started avoiding girls, I wonder why she came. She shouldn’t have” she said and Carson shook his head unbelievably.
“I’m so stupid right now, I feel so ashamed of myself. Your parents gave me another life and everything I asked for and the best thing I thought of doing was falling in love with their son, someone who calls me sister, someone who loves me and care for me. I’m sick, I’m really sick in the head” she dug her ten fingers into her hair.
Mrs Brooks opened the door and when she entered she gave both of them a weird look.
she ran to emily and sat beside her, arranging and kissing her hair.
“What happened son? Why is she crying? You both were taking too long that’s why I came” she asked but got no reply from both of them.
“Talk to you daughter, she is becoming sick,I think you should take her to the hospital. Good night mom” he didn’t look Emily,he just turned and left.
As soon as he left Mrs Brooks held Emily face up, wiping her tears.
“Tell me what’s going on baby, you and your brother are scaring me. Wait don’t tell you are crying because of what I did,huh?” She shook her head and hugged her, crying on her chest.
“Mom am sorry” she said and Mrs Brook only pat her back.
CARSON MANSION••
Carson was carrying sleeping Ryan on his arms as he and chloe entered the house silently.
He hasn’t said anything ever since they left his parents mansion. He was still taken aback by Emily confession hours ago.
If someone had told him that emily would say such a thing he wouldn’t have believe the person one bit.
“That isn’t the way to Ryan’s room” chloe interuppted which brought him back to reality.
He chuckled lightly and proceed to Ryan room. Chloe scoffed, staring at him till he was out of sight with ryan.
“You pushed them into the rain, right?” Chloe asked, staring at her long nails. she just took a warm bath and she was cladded in a pink nightgown.
She was on the phone with Juliana.
“Yes I did. You’re sister Is something else..gosh. you should have see the way she was acting all bossy earlier” Juliana scoffed.
“That’s how she is, she will never change. I wonder what they came here for exactly” she rolled her eyes.
“Your mom asked me if you gave birth, guess what I said baby girl!”
“Don’t tell me you told her about Ryan?”
“I didn’t…I got angry and I told them to leave. Why are they asking about him? I thought they said he wasn’t their grandchild” she said and Chloe laughed.
“I don’t know, they won’t see my child not even his hair. They should better go back to where they came from” she said and Juliana yawned from the other end.
“Am feeling sleepy girl, talk to you tomorrow” Juliana said and hung up.
Chloe dropped the phone on the bed stand and the door to the bathroom creaked open and Carson came out. Chloe turned to him.
He was just in his towel,he was dripping wet… His hair was sticking to his face giving him a baby look. His packs were something to die for,not to talk of his broad chest….
He was looking hot and sexy.
Chloe couldn’t take her eyes from him. This would be the first time she is seeing him with just a towel.
she swallowed hard and look away, her cheeks were red like an apple and she covered her cheek with her palms.
Carson chuckled and went to his closet to get his favorite pyjamas, he took it and went back to the bathroom to change.
“What just happened?” Chloe shook her head. “Chloe get a grip of yourself! He wants silent treatment right? Then let’s continue with it” she said and climbed the bed and used the duvet to cover herself up, shutting her eyes.
Few minutes later she felt a warm hand around her waist,drawing her closer…the person scent hit every corner of her nose.
“Thought you wanted silent treatment?” she asked and turned to him.
“I wasn’t giving you silent treatment,I was just stunned by something that’s why” he said and she rolled her eyes.
“Whatever” she muttered and carson sighed.
“It’s about my sister” he said and chloe ears stood.
“Really? What happened? What did she said? I’ve a feeling she doesn’t like me,am I right?” She asked worriedly.
Carson pecked her lips.
“You worry too much baby mama” he chuckled.
“tell me what she said then “.
“I don’t know if you will get mad though”.
“I won’t”.
Carson explained everything to her without leaving anything behind.
“What?? Your sister said that?? Wait…she was adopted?” she asked as shock covered her whole face.
“yeah she did,am shocked as well and yes she was adopted” he removed some strands of hair from her face.
“Who won’t fall for someone as cute like you, gosh” she laughed and carson ear turned pink.
chloe expression suddenly changed.
“what happened baby mama?”
“I’m getting scared, first it was Brielle, Jennie and now your sister” she said.
“Don’t worry about Emily she will come around…I think Jennie has changed”.
“I don’t think so, she got plans” she mumbled.
They drew closer and they felt a sudden warmness and comfort as their bodies made contact with each other. Chloe buried her face on his chest.
“Sleep now,you have had a long day today” he gave her a short kiss on her lip and her forehead. “Don’t worry too much about them coz am yours and yours alone” he muttered, staring at her face.
