Chapter 25 & 26 : College Gossip and Real Feelings
Infirmary •
Miguel sat on the bed expecting Lisa to come back but when he couldn’t hold it in any longer, he got up the bed but was stopped by one of the College’s Infirmary nurse.
” You can’t leave yet, you still have to stay in bed. The bleeding might start again.” The nurse said.
” Listen nurse, I appreciate your concern and at the same time you’re just doing your job. Am worried sick about someone, I need to go.” Miguel said taking another step before the door flung open.
Tiana rushed in with a worried look on as she approach Miguel who was already getting curious.
” M.. MJ…” Tiana stuttered and Miguel heartbeat race.
” What’s wrong with Mona, why are you stammering. Say something.” Miguel said worriedly.
” I can’t find Lisa in the school, I searched every nook and cranny and I even called her mom. She is not home yet, please do something.” Lisa said and Miguel got a confused and worried look on.
” You’re saying Mona is missing?” Miguel said and Tiana nodded, tears threatening to fall from her eyes but she held them back in.
” I’ll be right back and please keep looking for her, anywhere else you think she might have gone to.” Miguel said and Tiana nodded.
Miguel left the clinic immediately and first went to the restroom, he couldn’t find Lisa anywhere. The only thing he could see was pieces of the bracelet on the floor.
He knew instantly that they belong to Lisa, he packed everything as he began to sense something wrong.
He first went to Alvin, he went to his suite but he wasn’t present. The library, cafeteria, he wasn’t there. He left for the basketball court immediately as he thought he might be practicing.
Miguel opened the door roughly and behold Alvin and his friends are there, they stopped noticing him as Miguel rushed to Alvin and grabbed his collar staring darkly in his eyes.
” Where is she?” Was his first question and Alvin squinched his brows.
” What are you talking, who?” Alvin asked and Miguel punch him directly on his cheek.
” Where is Mona you son of a….” Miguel said as he grabbed his collar again.
” I don’t know what you are talking, I don’t know where she is.” Alvin said as he jerked himself off.
” Mona is nowhere to be seen and I suspect you.” Miguel stated and Alvin’s eyes widened.
” What! Lisa?”
” Answer the damn question, where did you keep her!” Miguel half yelled, his voice so cold sending enough shivers into Alvin’s spine but he composed himself.
” I don’t know where she is, why suspect me.” Alvin said.
” Listen Miguel, we all have been here since and Alvin haven’t met with Lisa after that morning.” Jayden said and Miguel calmed a bit.
” If I find out that you are somehow involved in this, I promise you will meet your end. You will surely regret ever meeting me.” Miguel said and started walking out of the Court.
” That guy is undescribable, did he just scare me right now.” Kelvin said unbelievably.
” Told y’all that dude can’t be underestimated, he is really serious.” Jayden said.
But all Alvin could think of was Lisa’s missing as he grabbed his jacket and went out of the court.
” Is Lisa really missing, how on earth.” Kelvin said.
The next person Miguel could think of is Ramona, he sighted her walking out of the school and quickly rushed. He just wouldn’t spare any traces.
” Ramona..” he called and Ramona turned to him without a word.
” Where is Mona?” Miguel asked, Ramona raised a brow.
” What do you mean, is she supposed to be with me?”
” She is missing, and I hope you won’t be involved in her being missing. Just wanted to inform you.” Miguel said and walk out of the college gate.
👥: Monalisa is missing.
👥: how can that be.
👥: I feel so sad for her.
👥: I hope she’s okay wherever she is.
Ramona held her fist tight and she walked back into the school going straight to Alvin’s suite.
She knocked and when Alvin opened, she didn’t spare him a word as she made her in confusing Alvin .
” What are you doing here Ramona.” Alvin asked.
” Did you kidnapped her for your own interest? And now Miguel’s accusing me. I clearly told you I don’t want to deal with you right. F*cking bring her out wherever you put her.” Ramona said and Alvin chuckled.
” Are you suspecting me also, I have no hand in her missing case. Please stop accusing me.” Alvin said.
” You liar, I won’t spare if you have a hand in her case I promise you.” Ramona said and walk out.
” Why do you even care!” Alvin yelled after her but she was already gone.
Alvin sigh and ran his hand into his hair.
” Why am I affected by Ramona accusing me… anyways I hope Lisa is okay, I should go to the police.” Alvin said.
Rodrigo mansion •
Ramona got back home looking a bit down and Mariana was coming downstairs noticed.
” Hey sis.” Mariana said and Ramona sat down on the couch tiredly.
” What’s wrong?” Mariana asked noticing her state.
” Where’s Mom and Dad.” Ramona said and Mariana rolled her eyes.
” They both had a fight so they left the house for each other but first tell me what’s wrong with you?” Mariana said.
” Do you think I can kidnap someone.” Ramona said and Mariana chuckled.
” Why ask that, you can even handle a chick less alone a human. Who is missing?” Mariana asked..
” Lisa.”
” And why are you concerned about that?”
” Miguel’s accusing me, he suspect me. What have I done to him to deserve that. I don’t hate Lisa so much to have her kidnapped, trust me.” Ramona said as a tear trickle down her eyes.
” It’s fine sis, you can never do that. She will be found, be at ease.” Mariana assured pulling her in a hug.
Ms Brianna’s home•
Miguel came home and his aunt stood up, seeing him came early.
” Miguel dear, why are you home so early.” Ms Brianna said.
” Monalisa is missing Aunt, I need to look for her.” Miguel said.
” Isn’t she the same girl that we met at the airport and the mall, have you forgotten about the first time?” Ms Brianna said and Miguel sigh.
She still remember? Miguel said inwardly.
” She has changed aunt, right now she needs me. She is missing and I need to look for her, Aunt trust me she has changed. Please let me go.” Miguel said and Ms Brianna nodded.
” I noticed that, that’s why I acted ignorant at the mall. Do you have something for her.” Ms Brianna said.
” This is not the time aunt, I….” Miguel was interrupted by a ding on his phone.
It’s two Messages, one from Tiana and the other from an unknown. He checked Tiana’s first.
Tiana 💌: am at the described place with Mrs Joanna, we are waiting. Her mom’s worried sick
He typed back, I will be there soon.
He checked the other one and he furrowed his brows while reading it.
Unknown sender: come to this location if you want to see and save your Mona. Make sure to come alone else she is gone.
” Who the hell is this.”
Nevertheless he went out of the house and went to Tiana and Mrs Joanna.
” Where’s my daughter Miguel, what’s happening.” Mrs Joanna said worriedly.
” Don’t panick ma’am, but I will need you both to do me a favor.” Miguel said as he told them.
40 minutes later•
Miguel arrived at the same location the unknown sent to him. It’s a warehouse.
He saw guards around and he could swear some of their faces looked familiar. One came to him.
” Come with me.” The husky voice said and Miguel followed instantly.
Stepping foot in the warehouse, the place looked so dusty and cobwebs are literally everywhere. With every single step making a crusty sounds.
Suddenly, a plank landed at the back of his head as he began landing on the floor. Everything became blurry as he started losing consciousness.
The only thing he heard last was a chuckle and the yell of his name.
” Miguel!!!!!!”
Chapter 27 & 28 : Monalisa’s Moment of Vulnerability
Eyes flickered open as the lids bashed against each other, head turned around but in a blurry vision.
Miguel held his head as he stood up carefully while groaning, he was on a bed now. He gazed around as what happened earlier flashed through his memory.
” Mona?” He said immediately as he tried to get up but the headache hit him again and he groan.
Nevertheless, he tried to get out of the room he was and walked around till he got to where he first went to.
His eyes widened when he saw Monalisa, tied to a chair. Her hair sprawled on her face as she bend her head resting on the chair. He quickly rushed to her.
” Mona, Mona. Open your eyes please.” Miguel said as he tapped her on cheek which got woken up and her eyes widened in excitement.
” Miguel! You’re awake, thank God you are fine.” Monalisa said smiling.
” Are you okay? Did they hurt you?” Miguel said as he started loosing the rope tied to her hand behind her.
Then again he heard the same chuckle he heard earlier before he lost consciousness. Slowly he turned back and his eyes widened in shock and surprise.
” D….d.. Dad?” Miguel stuttered almost like a question.
Yet again, his father chuckled again and got up the chair walking to them.
” Dad? How come you are here, you flied from Paris just to kidnap her. Why?” Miguel half yelled.
Monalisa just stared at the two duo not understanding a thing.
” You’ve got a distraction once again and I won’t let you to be distracted cause you are my son. The son of Daniel Knight, do you wish to keep spoiling my name huh? Didn’t you know the reason why I asked to come here in New York, and now engaging yourself in some useless distraction.” Mr Knight said and Miguel scoffed.
Mi… Miguel is Daniel Knight son? The one and only Daniel Knight of Knight group of companies, I thought he had one son. But Miguel?* Monalisa exclaimed in her head not believing her eyes.
” Oh now you just know am your son, am not your son. Federick is your only son remember? Because of my attitude, you fvcking threw me away Dad. You never really tried to understand me or my reasons, you just concluded. Aunt is my only family get that clear., how did you even find out my college” Miguel stated which earn a frown from Mr Knight.
” About how I found out, you don’t have to know. And that Aunt of yours is my younger sister, and I pull the strings here. You’re going back to Paris right this instance.” Mr Knight decided and Lisa’s eyes widened.
” Miguel, are you really going?” Lisa had to ask and Miguel faced her.
” Am not going anywhere Mona, am not leaving you for any reason.” With that said, Lisa smiled to him which he reciprocated.
” You shouldn’t interrupt a father and his son girl, and you your brother is back home and you are going to learn some things from him. If not I’ll first announce you to the world as my son then disown you as I taint your image even in your college.” Mr Knight said and Miguel’s face darkened.
Monalisa mouth hung agape, isn’t he his father. How could a father do this to his son.
” I don’t really care Dad, am not interested in your business world. And about tainting my image, you know me Dad, I will be the one doing that to you instead.” Miguel said as he helped Lisa up.
” Are you challenging your father?” Mr Knight asked angrily.
” This is just a warning, don’t ever go close to what’s mine or close to me ever again.” Miguel stated and turned to leave. Lisa looked at him immediately.
Did he just call me his?* She said inwardly and didn’t know when she smiled.
Mr Knight didn’t stop them this time, he let them go as he chuckled one more time.
” Do you need us to go after them?” One of the bodyguards said.
” No, that won’t be necessary. Everything will take place as it should be.” Mr Knight said and the bodyguard bowed.
” Get the car.” Mr Knight ordered walking out.
Joanna Villa •
Miguel and Monalisa arrived at Lisa’s house, they were about to go in when Lisa held him.
” About what happened Mona….”
” You don’t want me to tell anyone?” Lisa cuts in and Miguel sigh.
” I don’t like too much of attention, so for the time being please keep this secret.” Miguel said and she nodded.
” You’re actually a Billionaire’s son Miguel, am really shocked and surprised.” Lisa gushed and Miguel scoffed.
” Like I care, let’s go in. Your mom is worried sick about you.” Miguel said and Lisa nodded.
” And…you said he shouldn’t go close to what’s yours, are you perhaps referring to me?” Lisa asked and Miguel chuckled.
” You’re close to me either way, I don’t want you to get hurt.” Miguel said and Lisa smiled.
” Let’s go.”
They went in afterwards.
Ms Brianna’s home •
Immediately Miguel entered the house, his Aunt sprang up immediately.
” Miguel… Miguel dear, how was it. Were you able to save her?” His aunt rushed questions.
” I was able to save her aunt, and you wouldn’t believe who was behind it….. Dad!” Miguel said and Ms Brianna looked shocked.
” What! Brother? Why did he do that and he came over to New York for that?” Ms Brianna said and Miguel nodded.
Miguel explained everything that happened and Ms Brianna shaked her head.
” Why would he do that, can’t he just leave you alone? And did you find out how he got to know of your college location and how he was aware of Lisa?” Ms Brianna said.
” I asked but he didn’t obliged to tell me aunt. You know how Dad can be sometimes, I don’t want anything to happen to my dear ones.” Miguel said and Ms Brianna pulled to a hug patting his hair.
” It’s fine Miguel, quit thinking about it for now. Go to your room now and freshen up, I’ll prepare something for you.” Ms Brianna said and Miguel nodded going to his room.
Ms Brianna sigh after he left.
Next day ~ Crestwood College •
Miguel rushed to class cause he overslept due to stress. Class already started 25 minutes ago, he had to rush.
” Miguel, you’re late to my class.” The professor said and Miguel bowed.
” Sorry sir, it won’t repeat itself.” Miguel apologised.
” Last warning, you can have your sit.” The professor said.
” Thank you.” Miguel said and he sighted George and sat besides him. But George was a little bit down and Miguel noticed.
” Hey George, what’s wrong?” Miguel whispered.
” It’s nothing, am fine.” George said but Miguel could sense something.
Miguel was about to say more when he heard a click sound and he turned back only to see a pretty girl took his picture.
” What do you think you are doing?” Miguel asked.
” You’re hot, I couldn’t resist having your image on my gallery. Am Claire, mind exchanging contacts?” The girl named Claire said and winked. Miguel rolled his eyes, turning his back and brought out his note but not without taking a glance at George again.
FIRST LEVEL CLASS•
Monalisa entered her class and immediately Tiana sighted her and quickly rushed to her.
” Oh my God MJ, thank God you are fine.” Tiana said and everyone turned to them including Ramona and Barbie.
Ramona didn’t know why but she exhaled deeply seeing Lisa.
” She is fine?” Barbie said, obviously expecting the opposite.
👥: how are you now Lisa.
👥: we heard you were kidnapped.
👥: hope nothing bad happened.
The students bombarded the questions.
” Am absolutely fine, thank you guys.” Monalisa said walking to her seat with Tiana.
” Miguel saved you?” Tiana asked and Ramona seemed to pay attention.
” I’ll tell you all about it later, the professor is here.” Monalisa said as the lecturer walked in.
An hour later~ Cafeteria •
” What! Miguel’s Dad!” Tiana exclaimed and Lisa quickly gagged her mouth with her hand.
” Stop screaming.” Lisa said.
” Wait you mean, Miguel’s Dad kidnapped for him to meet Miguel and tell him you’re a distraction to him. And to top it all , he is a Knight?” Tiana said not believing the story.
” Believe it or not Tiana, Miguel is a Billionaire.” Monalisa said still shocked.
Tiana was about talking when Alvin and his friends barged.
👥: awwnn, he must have been so worried.
👥: Alvin is such a great person, he rushed in for Monalisa.
👥: such cute couples.
Monalisa rolled her eyes hearing the comments, Alvin immediately dragged her up and hugged her shocking Lisa.
” Thank goodness you’re okay.” Alvin said and Lisa broke the hug.
” Thanks.” She said.
The door opened and Miguel together with Claire hovering on him entered and Lisa frowned.
” Hey Miguel, just one picture with me.” Claire said once more and Miguel groaned.
” Listen girl, don’t create a scene. I don’t know you, since when did we became close that you are asking for a picture. Am I a celebrity?” Miguel said feeling annoyed already.
” Yes you are, for me you are a celebrity. A great basketball player and a hot, handsome, cute guy.” Claire said and Lisa’s eyes widened.
She began walking towards them ignoring everyone’s eyes still she got to them and pushed Claire slightly.
” Stay away from what’s mine girl!” Monalisa declared as the students’ eyes widened including Miguel. Kaylee smiled from where she is.
” Woah!!” Jayden and Kelvin chorused.
Chapter 29 & 30 : In Between Love and Hate
Claire stared at Miguel and then at Lisa before she burst into laughter, confusing them.
” And now what’s funny?” Miguel asked sternly.
” This.. this must be a lie, you? With Lisa, you? Don’t you know your level and you think Lisa accepted you too?” Claire said admist the laughter.
” Stop it girl, and leave Miguel alone. I won’t warn you again.” Monalisa said.
” Hey, I am your senior. Where have you put my respect.” Claire demanded being serious now and Lisa chuckled.
” You should have known that before and for your respect, don’t worry I will keep it for someone worthy. Now get your filthy skinny legs outta here.” Monalisa said and that instance Claire raised her hand to slap her but Miguel was quick to hold her hand.
” Don’t you even dare…. You digust me.” Miguel said as he let go of her hand.
By now, students were already recording. With the caption; A PIECE OF TRASH DEALING WITH OUR OWN MONALISA, IS SHE PLAYING. LOVE HOW LISA PUT HER IN HER PLACE😁😂😂😂
Claire’s blood boil staring intently at Monalisa and Miguel.
” I promise you Miguel, I will get you and as for you Lisa. You’ll regret this.” Claire said.
” In your dreams.” A voice said from the back and they faced there. Though they all knew it’s Ramona’s voice but Ramona eyes isn’t even on them, they are on her phone.
Claire scoffed and folded her hands under her br**st.
” And who’s that pokenosing, mind your business. Will you?” Claire said.
” It’s best if you get going, you already create enough scene.” Barbie responded.
” Are you her mouthpiece huh?”
” Your blood will boil some more if you check the school blog, so funny. Don’t disgrace yourself further.” Barbie said and Claire immediately checked.
And as said, her blood immediately boil when she sighted the caption and another one says; JUST MAKING FOOL OUT OF HERSELF with her picture under but they already did some changes to the picture, which made her mouth bigger and head smaller earning laughter among the students in the cafeteria and under the comments. She really looked funny.
Claire fumed and glance at them again storming out of the cafeteria.
” Are you okay?” Lisa asked Miguel and he nodded.
They walked to Lisa’s seat and Lisa faced Alvin, whose eyes are on Miguel.
“Am fine now, thank you.” Lisa said to Alvin as she took her seat.
Alvin breathe in and out trying to keep his calm seeing them together. He walked to his friends’ seat.
Miguel started discussing with Tiana and Monalisa but he saw George coming in and their eyes met, immediately George walk out of the cafeteria making Miguel curious.
Hallway •
Ramona was walking with Barbie when she heard her name and she stopped.
” Ramona!” It’s Miguel. She faced him.
” Thanks.” Miguel said and she nodded wanting to go again but Miguel held her hand.
” Can you excuse us?” Miguel said to Barbie and she nodded walking away.
” What is it?” Ramona asked.
” Am sorry.” Miguel said and Ramona gazed at him.
” I know I shouldn’t have reacted that way with you yesterday, I just was….”
” I got it, you were worried about Lisa. You don’t have to explain yourself. Am glad she’s fine anyways, I didn’t want the burden of which someone got hurt because of me stayed on my shoulder.” Ramona said.
” Nevertheless, am sorry okay?” Miguel said and she smiled.
” It’s fine.” With that said, she started walking to the library and Miguel sighed.
Jayden was walking alone when he got pulled, he frowned when he saw Barbie.
” Hey Jayden.” She smiled.
” What do you think you are doing, students are passing by.” Jayden said.
” Am sorry, I just wanted to say Hi to you cause you never do.” Barbie said.
” And why should I? Tell me just one reason.” Jayden said and rolled his eyes. Barbie immediately sighted Tiana’s eyes on them and she quickly kiss him on his cheek even before he could react.
Tiana scoffed and turned her gaze away.
” Hey, what do you think you’re doing, don’t ever try it again.” Jayden half yelled wiping his cheek.
” It was a mistake, am so sorry.” Barbie faked and Jayden rolled his eyes and walked away on her.
Barbie smirked.
Everyone was literally screaming and was so excited. Miguel wondered why though, George still was avoiding him.
👥: I just can’t wait
👥: it’s gonna thrilling and interesting
👥: so much fun too
” What’s going on?” He muttered.
Then he remembered joining the school blog the day George told him about it. He was sure it will be there.
He chuckled when he saw Claire’s post and when he sighted the latest post he frowned.
” Is this why they were so excited.” He hissed.
It’s Alvin’s upcoming birthday this Saturday, and it was written there that only some set of students are going to be invited.
” Hey, including you. You aren’t invited.” Alvin suddenly said from his back and Miguel scoffed wanting to talk but someone beat him to it.
” Says who!”
