Chapter 25 & 26 : Dangerous Pursuits
☙{ The Spy }☙
“You do. You are mine okay and so I don’t want any other guy touching or getting close to you. I hate it when someone else touch what’s mine!” He said and Flora could only stare at him.
Flora and Ricardo stood glaring at each other after what he said, Flora couldn’t help but to feel a weird sensation in her.
On the other hand, Ricardo couldn’t believe he just said that and to a girl like her, A girl he took solely to get back at his brother.
Not knowing how to handle the situation, he walked off leaving Flora starring after him.
As soon as he got to his room, he met Tony waiting for him.
They had both been talking about the upcoming mission when he spotted Flora and Dacio.
His anger and jealousy had got him walking out on Tony to the shooting ground where he made a fool of himself by saying crazy things.
“Mind if I give you an advice, boss?” Tony question got him out of his reverie.
“Whatever feeling you have for Flora should end, you don’t want the same thing that happened to Camilla to happen to her, right?” Tony said.
“Am not that stupid as to let my emotion get the best of me again” Ricardo replied harshly.
“I hope it doesn’t cause what am seeing is quite different, For men like us love is the last thing we should feel ” Tony added gently before excusing himself.
Ricardo sat on the sofa thinking about what Tony just said.
He is right! Love is the last thing that should be on his mind. Flora is a walking temptation, he’s got to do something before he loses himself for good.
“He did what!” Marissa and Mona both yelled at the same time.
“I won’t repeat myself” Flora muttered feeling lost than ever.
“Are you really sure boss said that?” Mona asked as she sat down on the sofa Flora was.
“Perhaps it could have mean something else” Marissa injected.
“I thought that at first too but then the look on his face when he said that I belong to him tells me other wise”
“Does that mean that boss is in love with you?” Mona asked.
“I doubt it, he probably sees me as one of his property and finds it hard to let me go” Flora said giving out an excuse that suited her.
“Why don’t we find that out?” Marissa suggested.
“How do we do that?” Mona asked.
“You confront him about it tonight. Athena is throwing a welcome back party for the big boss and Ricardo will definitely show up. Talk to him and if he hesitate a little then definitely he’s into you ” Marissa replied.
“But I…”
“I think Marissa idea is a good one. I once did it with Ten and it gave me the answer I needed” Mona said lightly.
“Fine then. I will ask him about it tonight” Flora said also wanting to know how Ricardo feels about her.
Evening ~ Party Room
“What do you keep on starring at?” Bonnie asked as he stood at the counter with his brother Tony who was sipping his whiskey slowly.
“I just realised how sexy Marissa is ” Tony replied his gaze on Marissa who was talking with Flora and Mona.
“Are you interested in her?” Bonnie asked.
“Perhaps and that’s probably because I haven’t slept with her, she seems to dislike me and I have no idea what wrong I did to her” Tony muttered.
“I suggest you let this one go, bro. She’s into someone else”
“Who?”
“Dacio. I overheard her talking about it and its obvious that she’s very much into him, so it’s best you look somewhere else” Bonnie advise but the little smile which lingered on Tony lips made it clear that he’s far from listening.
On the other hand, Flora tried to concentrate on what Marissa was saying while starring at the door way waiting for Ricardo arrival.
“Do you think he’s going to come?” Flora asked.
“He will since this party is being thrown for his father” Mona replied.
“And besides none of the other knight brothers are here yet so be patient, he’s going to come and then he will confess and make you the queen to his empire” Marissa tease just as the door open to reveal Dacio.
“Oh! My sweetie is here. See you guys later have got some hooking up to do” Marissa told them before heading to where Dacio was.
“Leave us on our own all for a guy, what a terrible friend” Mona muttered while Flora laugh.
“Mind if I dance with you?” Bonnie question took both of them by surprise and when Mona would have refuse, Flora told her to go knowing Mona wanted to stay by her side until Ricardo showed up.
Flora watch her two friends mingle with everyone else and felt a bit lonely, she was about to go get a drink at the counter when the door open and Ricardo walk in.
A smile lit her face on seeing him but it dissolve immediately when Athena followed.
She had her arm in his and was whispering something in his ear as they made way to one of the sofa.
Flora could feel a stab of pain as she watch them both and it grew worse when Ricardo gaze lifted starring directly at her.
She somehow hope that on seeing her, he would leave Athena and come to her but he ignored her making it clear that he’s definitely not interested in her.
Not being able to bear watching him and Athena together, she left the party room.
“I’d like to speak to you in private” Marissa said to Dacio who was having a Convo with Tony.
“If you want, I can give you both some space” Tony suggested about to get out of his seat when Dacio stopped him.
Turning to a waiting Marissa, he took hold of her hand.
“I know what you are going to say and so” he pause to lean against her before whispering into her ear. “Wait for me in your room and I will be there to give you what you want”
Marissa couldn’t help but to blush when she heard that. She had wanted to confess her feelings to him but had ended up being invited to share a night with him, something she’s been waiting for a long time ago.
“I will be waiting” she said as she gave him a wink before leaving the room.
“She’s so troublesome” Dacio said as soon as Marissa left and that made Tony a little bit angry.
“I mean if a guy hasn’t been battling his eyes at you even when you made it clear that you want him, then he’s not interested” Dacio added again.
“If you aren’t interested then why agree to it tonight?” Tony asked and that got him smiling.
“To get her off my back and besides there’s no harm in f**king a willing girl. See you later” Dacio replied and was heading out of the room when Red walk in.
Dacio stood still in his tracks when he saw Red outfit.
She was dressed in a skimpy red gown which brought out most of her curves and made guys eager to know more about the body beneath the dress.
Red felt a bit uncomfortable wearing it but if she’s set out to seduce Dacio Knight then she would have to give it her best shot.
“Hello” she greeted wearing her most sexy smile.
“Wow…you are breathtaking” Dacio let out before he could stop himself.
“Oh really? Aren’t you the same guy who refered to me as a bitter old lady?” Red return smoothly feeling good that she could shove his words down his damn throat.
“That was because I….I…. probably didn’t give you a better and now that I have, you don’t mind dancing with me right?” Dacio suggested.
Red was about to refuse when his hand snake around her waist pulling her to him.
“If you don’t want me following you around through the whole of tonight then you better not refuse me ” he warned with so much desire in her eyes.
When Red said nothing in return, he drew her to the dance floor and Ten who just arrived at the party couldn’t help but to smile on seeing Red and Dacio together but the smile soon dissipate when he saw Bonnie dancing with Mona.
Giorgio Room
“Aren’t you going to the party?” Queenie asked on seeing Giorgio lying on the bed.
“Am going to pass” Giorgio replied.
“But your father will expect you to be there” Queenie said.
“I don’t care”
“Giorgio you really…”.
“Not now Queenie. Have had enough lecture to be lectured by you too” he saud cutting her off.
“And am guessing that you were lectured by your father right? You don’t have to hold a grudge instead you should try to prove to him that you are worthy of his trust. Ricardo wouldn’t obviously be staying idle if he was lectured by your father and the same goes for Dacio. You should….”
“Shut the f**k up Queenie. You really are begining to get on my nerve. If you will comparing me to my stupid brothers then I suggest you get lost. Quit being my right hand and work for them instead” Giorgio lash at her.
“You think that because you and I have slept together you’ve got the right to tell me what to do. Think again lady cause what happened between us means nothing to me and it never will!” He added wanting to hurt her just as much as he was hurting.
“Have a nice evening” Queenie said before leaving his room making him feel more miserable.
Flora stood at the garden enjoying the night breeze when something fell at her side.
At first Flora thought it was the leaves rustling but on seeing a piece of paper on the floor, she quickly picked it up.
★ I HEARD YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR THE SPY. MEET ME AT THE BASEMENT AND I WILL TELL YOU WHAT I KNOW ★
On reading it Flora wondered who could be behind it and wanting to fill her curiousity, she went to the basement.
“Hello! Is anyone here?” She called when she saw no one there.
She called again and when there was no answer, she turned to leave only to notice a man hiding behind a pillar.
“Are you the one that asked me to come here?” Flora asked and still standing behind the pillar the man answered.
“Yes. I told you that have got information on the spy” He rasp out.
“Can you tell me about it” Flora implored.
“Few months ago. The spy broke into the big boss room, I was part of the men who were sent to apprehend him. He fought us all and got away but I manage to leave a body harm on him which no one knows” He added softly.
“I had cut him on the neck which am very sure will leave a scar. While you go through your search, find someone who has a scar on the neck then you will you will be able to find the spy ” He said and disappeared through the back door.
“How am I suppose to find someone with a scar on his neck?” Flora muttered as she made her way back to the mansion.
She was walking past the kitchen when she heard a call.
“What are you doing out here?” Leon asked while walking towards her with his shirt undone.
“Um, hello. I just asked you a question” Leon said again but Flora was far from listening since her gaze was fixed on Leon’s neck which had a scar on it….
Chapter 27 & 28 : A Villain Revealed

“If you are going to kill her then you will have to go through me cause I won’t let any one harm her not even you, dad” Ricardo stated fiercely.
“You really are going to defile me for that girl?” Stephan yelled starring at Ricardo who didn’t even bother to put down his gun.
“You gave me no choice” Ricardo said in return not flinching at all.
“Tch! Let’s go” Stephan said to his men before walking off leaving Ricardo, Flora and Giorgio in the torture room.
A pale looking Ricardo turned to Flora who had tears glistening her eyes.
“Are you okay” he asked caressing her cheek and slowly she gave a nod in return.
After getting his answer, he collapsed into her arms.
“Ricardo! Help me Giorgio” Flora cried out in agitation and quickly Giorgio carried him off on his back while a worried Flora followed suit.
<< Next Day >>
Ricardo open his eyes only to find himself in his room, he turned expecting to see Flora by his side but he was disappointed to see Athena.
Where could Flora be? Did his father have her taken again? He thought as he tried to seat up only for Athena to push him back on the bed.
“The doctor insist on you staying in bed”.
“No. I need to see Flora, where is she?” Ricardo demanded.
“If you are worried that something has happened to her, you shouldn’t. After the scene you pulled last night, your father wouldn’t dare touch a hair on her head” Athena said.
“Where is she?”
“She went to her room to get change and so I am the one here with you. And you better stop asking me about Flora cause it’s annoying” Athena complain.
“Everything have always been annoying to you” he muttered as he turned away from her hoping Flora would arrive soon.
<< Stephan Room >>
“I must say you are brave for having come to see me without the protection of Ricardo” Stephan said to Flora who stood idly in the room.
“You called me and I just can’t ignore you, big boss” Flora replied slowly.
“You must be wondering why I called you here right?” Stephan asked and before she could reply, Stephan knelt in front of her.
“What are you doing?”
“Just let me be since I want to ask…no, I want to beg you to do me this favour” he began slowly.
“Thanks to what happened last night, I realise that a day will come when I will have to let my son live his life but I can’t do that now. I still have a lot to teach him since he will be taking over when I retire which is why I don’t want any distractions for him”.
“I know you love him and he does too, he wouldn’t have act that way just to protect you but can you do me a favour and stay away from him just until am sure that he can take over my legacy” he added still on his knees.
“I….”
“Don’t refuse me Flora, this is the request of a dying father. I don’t have much time left since it’s cancer and none of my sons know about it. Which is why I want Ricardo to be fully prepared so I can depart in peace. Keeping your distance will only be for a while…so please help this poor dying man” he said while Flora wondered what she should do.
“I will forever be in your debt if you can grant me this wish” he said as he took hold of her hand.
With the things he said and his pleading, Flora could hardly say no to him.
“Thank you. As soon as Ricardo can handle the clan on his own then you two can be together. Promise me that this discussion will stay between us” He demanded which got her nodding once again.
“She’s more gullible than I thought” Stephan said sometime later when Flora was gone and only Jake, his right hand man was with him.
“Make sure you keep an eye on that girl, if she makes contact with Ricardo, inform me immediately ” Stephan ordered.
<< Marissa Room >>
Marissa got out of her room only to see Tony waiting for her. Memory of what took place between them last night came to mind and immediately she began to walk off, ignoring his presence.
“We’ve got to talk”.
“I have nothing to say to a jerk like you” she said hotly.
“We both know that we are at fault. I had only came here last night to tell you that Dacio couldn’t make it when you began kissing me and…”
“And you should have corrected me. You should have stopped me!”
“And resist having a night with you, hell no!”
“You really are a shameless man” she yelled at him.
“Not as shameless as you since you kept moaning under me last night and…”
“Stop it! I don’t know why you are bringing this up when we’ve decided to forget about it. It was a mistake and it won’t ever…”
“No. I wouldn’t call it a mistake and neither will I let you think that it won’t happen again. You see my passionate girl after what happened between us last night, I think I want more “
“Y…you are crazy” she stuttered as she move away from him.
“You are right. Am crazy, crazy about you”
“I…I will pretend I didn’t hear this, you pig!” She yelled before dashing off while Tony watched her.

While Red held onto the punching bag, Queenie kept hitting it, trying to let out her frustration while picturing Giorgio’s face on the bag.
“Is something bothering you?” Red asked on seeing the serious look on her friend face.
“Everything is bothering me,most especially that son of a gun. The worst part of it is that he keeps on getting angry at me whenever I tell him the truth” Queenie said as she stopped hitting the bag.
“And is this son of a gun called Giorgio?” Red asked which got Queenie flushing.
“Just try to be patient with him. He might be the most short tempered one amongst the three brothers but what I do know is that you are the only one who gets him back on track whenever he’s angry and that must mean that you mean a lot to him, so cheer up” Red said as she tickled Queenie who couldn’t help to smile.
“Red is obviously right. You are the only one who ever gets my brother” Dacio said from the door way startling the two girls.
“Didn’t they ever teach you not to eavesdrop?” Queenie admonish.
“My father did but I do what I want and besides are you done with her, I would like to have a word too ” He said starring at Red who had gone quiet ever since he’s arrival.
“Sure” Queenie said before leaving the room.
“You’ve been doing your best to avoid me which I don’t like”
“We were never close in the first place and…”
“What do you call the other night then? That’s the closest we’ve ever been with each other” he said making her remember the kiss she shared with him.
“It’s a thing of the past. Have completely forgotten about it and I suggest you do the same”
“I don’t think that will be possible. You know,I was perfectly sane before you showed up. Now all I do is think about you, I keep on wondering how it will feel to have you in my arms and on my bed and…”.
“Stop it Dacio. What happened between us last night was just a mistake, it never should have…” She let out a gasp when he pulled her to him.
“I thought the same thing too. I stayed up all night trying to erase you from my mind but I can’t do that anymore, you’ve bewitched me you witch and there’s no way in hell that I will let you go” he said nuzzling her throat while Red found herself melting into his arms.
“Make me sane again” he let out softly.
“But I don’t know how to do that” Red said in return.
” Since you can’t make me sane, don’t expect me to leave you alone cause I won’t” he said before his lips claim hers.
<< THREE DAYS LATER >>
“You need more rest, Ricardo” Athena complained as Ricardo set out to leave his room after staying in bed for three days.
“How can I rest when I haven’t seen Flora! You keep telling me that she’s fine and that she chose not to come see me when I know it’s a lie. Father must have done something which is why am going to check on her” he declared.
“Ricardo you…”
“Let him go, Athena” Stephan said as he walk into the room.
“What the hell did you do to Flora, I thought I made it…”
“I clearly remember how you stood up to that girl and I certainly won’t do anything to hurt her which was why I called her in some days ago to talk to her and she told me something very interesting” Stephan said as he took a seat, crossing his legs.
“What are you talking about?”
“Turns out that she’s not interested in you as you think. She made it clear to me that she’s in love with Giorgio”
“That’s a lie. Flora would never say that” Ricardo countered.
“If you don’t believe me, you might as well go and ask her. Why do you think she hasn’t come to check on you for days that’s because she’s just not interested” Stephan said coldly and not wanting to listen, Ricardo left the room in search of Flora.
<< Flora’s Room >>
As soon as Flora heard the door bell ring, she quickly went to answer.
“What are you doing here?” She asked the first thing that came to mind.
“To see you” he replied as he walk into the room.
“How are you?”
“Don’t you think it’s too late for you to ask that? When you didn’t show up for days, I thought that my father must have done something to you but the truth is that you didn’t care to check up on me”
“Ricardo I…” She stopped short when the bathroom door open to reveal Giorgio who was naked except for the towel drape around his torso.
“While I was worried sick about you, you were having fun with him?” Ricardo accused.
“It’s not what you think. I can explain “
“Save your explanation. I now know where I stand with you” he said turning to leave but she held onto his hand.
“Ricardo, let me explain “.
“I don’t want to listen!” he yelled shocking Flora who let go of his hand.
“Do you want me to explain to him?” Giorgio asked.
“No. It’s best if we just leave things the way it is” Flora replied looking very pale.
<< Evening >>
Flora was heading to her room after hours of training on the shooting ground, for the rest of the day after the scene with Ricardo, she hasn’t seen him which has got her thinking about him.
Did she made the right decision by agreeing to stay away from him? She thought as she made a turn only to see two masked men.
She tried to run off but it was too late since they caught her.
Some time later, Flora woke only to be consumed by darkness and that’s all thanks to the black bindfold they used in covering her eyes.
“What’s going? Who are you people?”
“You made a promise to big boss but you failed to keep it” she heard someone say.
“What exactly did I do?”
“Didn’t you promise not to see Ricardo but this afternoon you did the opposite and now big boss is furious!”
“I did as he told me. Even though I didn’t want to stay away, I chose to do just that because I love Ricardo. I didn’t go looking for him, he came looking for me” Flora retorted.
“It’s too late to explain that since big boss have told us to kill you but instead we will be selling you. Bring her outside” he said to someone who came to pull her up.
“Where are you taking me? Let me go!” Flora said as she was pulled outside and thanks to the rope binding her hand, she couldn’t pull off the blind fold.
“How much would you pay for her?” She heard the man ask.
“You can’t sell me! If you do Ricardo will come looking for me and he will kill you all, he will…”
“Am willing to buy her at any price as long as she accepts me” on hearing that Flora stood still wondering if she heard that right.
She felt someone get close to her to loosen her blind fold.
Slowly she open her eyes to Ricardo gazing down at her.
She turned to see Tony and Leon smiling at her.
“Was it you two who threatened to sell me just now?” She asked which got them nodding.
“Sorry but boss asked us to do it and we had no choice but to comply” Tony replied cheekly.
“I did told him it was a bad idea, sorry if we scared you” Leon added and Flora turned a questioning gaze to Ricardo.
“I won’t apologise since you put me through hell but you should know that… I love you ” he said making Flora’s heart melt in an instant.
Chapter 29 & 30 : Battle Preparations

“This can’t be! You can’t be the spy” Flora said starring at Ricardo.
“Get in” he ordered as he pulled her into the passenger seat before driving them away from the chapel.
“There’s got to be an explanation to this. You can’t possibly be the spy. Tell me that what am thinking is wrong ” Flora demanded.
“You aren’t wrong Flora, am the spy” he replied shocking her into silence.
He drove the car back to the mansion and quickly got out of it, taking Flora to his room for privacy.
“I just can’t understand. Why? Why are you doing this to your family and your clan and….”
“Turns am not a Knight ” he said which startled her again.
“I found out about some months ago during the time I had my accident. Stephan Knight blood and that of Giorgio and Dacio doesn’t run through me” he added.
“Fine, let’s say that you indeed aren’t a knight and that Stephan took you in as his son but why are you betraying him. He might be one of the worst father’s but still….”
“Stephan Knight is the cause of all my predicament. He stole me Flora, he took me away from my birth parents and trained me for the day I finally would kill my real parents”.
“Do you know who your birth parents are?” Flora asked.
“Turns out my father is the leader of the Devils clan ” he said furthering startling poor Flora.
“I can’t believe this. So you are saying that Stephan stole you away from your birth father just to make you kill him when you are old enough…. he’s despicable ” Flora added in distaste.
“He would have succeeded cause before the accident, I truly believed myself to be a knight and was prepared to kill the leader of the devil clan but after finding out the truth. I decided to change things, Stephan will die in my hand” Ricardo swore looking fierce and very angry.
“You are taking a risk,Ricardo. I don’t want anything to happen to you ” Flora said as she took hold of his hand.
“I will be fine. I knew what I was getting into when I started this. Am just scared that he will try to use and the people I love to scare me just like he did with Camilla”.
“Camilla is my sister. Stephan knew who she was but had no qualms about killing her, he shot her right in front of me and I could do nothing to save her” he said looking very hurt.
Flora pulled him for a hug trying to comfort him for all the terrible things that have happened to him.
“I didn’t want you getting involved, it’s one of the reason why I never wanted you to find the spy but now that you do it’s only right that you leave for the devils clan. With you there I can be rest assured that nothing will happen to you” Ricardo said but she shook her head.
“Am not leaving you alone. How can you ask me to when you need someone by your side”
“But Flora….”.
“Please, let me stay here with you. I can’t be at peace knowing you are in the lion’s den” she said as she wrap her arms around him.
“Fine then but please stay out of danger and if something happens call me right away and even if am not here, you can call Tony. He also knows everything “.
“So Tony knows?” Flora asked and he gave a nod in return.
“That’s good. At least someone other than me is on your side” she added which got him smiling in return.
<< Stephan Room >>
“What did you just say?”
“I said I know who the spy is?” Ten replied earning Stephan attention.
“Who is it?”
“Your son, Ricardo”.
“Is this some kind of trick, you know I can kill you for slandering my son!” Stephan yelled at him and immediately Ten got on his knees.
“It’s the truth big boss. I saw them earlier and also I know someone who can testify to my claim” Ten said quickly.
“Fine then, bring whoever it is to me” Stephan ordered which got him getting off the floor.
“I will do that boss”.
<< Next Day >>
Ricardo stood in front of the mirror, checking out his outfit when the door opened to reveal two men.
“Big boss wants to see you?” One of the men said.
“Did he tell you the reason why he wants to see me?” Ricardo asked.
“He didn’t, he only told us to come escort you” he replied as they made way for Ricardo to proceed.
Ricardo was a bit puzzled when they Led him to the torture room where his father, Ten and some men were present.
“What’s going on?” Ricardo asked only to be forced to kneel on the floor by the two men who brought him.
“What the hell are you doing?” He yelled at the men who held onto him.
“I heard something fascinating Ricardo. Turns out the spy showed up last night and someone saw him” Stephan began missing the surprised look on Ricardo face.
“Do you want to tell me who it is or should I do it myself and let me tell you that if I do that, I can’t guarantee the safety of someone” he said.
“Tch! I suggest you do it since I don’t know who it is ” Ricardo replied.
“Fine then. Turns out the spy is you Ricardo”
“Me! Who told such nonsense?” Ricardo scoff out while his heart kept thumping fast.
“I did. I saw you and Flora last night at the chapel and I over heard your conversation ” Ten said earning a glare from Ricardo.
“The reason why you’ve been able to fool us all is because no one suspected you and at first I didn’t believe it but after speaking to the chapel house keeper who told me everything he knew. I couldnt help but to, I gave you a chance to tell the truth Ricardo but you blew it all up. Bring her in” Stephan ordered and immediately Flora was pulled into the room.
“What the hell are you doing with her! Let her go” Ricardo yelled trying to pull free from their hold.
“I told you earlier that I can’t guarantee the safety of someone. I was referring to her. You betrayed my trust Ricardo and so it’s only right that you watch your belove die in front of you” Stephan said while Ten pulled out a dagger walking towards Flora.
“You betrayed my trust first!” Ricardo yelled bringing everyone attention to him.
“You betrayed me first! Not only did you take me from my real parents, you made me grew up hating my father and plotting ways to kill him. You also killed my sister!” Ricardo yelled at him and that got Stephan getting off his seat.
“It’s a pity you had to find out about your real identity before you killed Santos. Your accusation is true, I kidnapped you and trained you hard just so you can kill that Santos bastard for me. A son killing his own father, it would have been the most sweetest revenge” Stephan said cruelly.
“He made a mistake by sending Camilla here and that’s why I didn’t hesitate to kill her and you will also be dying with her. I can just imagine Santos being In so much grieve once again”.
“You scumbag!” Ricardo yelled struggling to pull free.
“Show me some respect, I was once your father” Stephan mocked before turning to Ten.
“What are you waiting for, get rid of that damn girl”.
“No, Leave her alone!” Ricardo yelled at them and just at that moment the door open to reveal Tony and some men who were all armed.
Tony fired his gun at Ten who lost his balance and fell on the floor.
“Make sure the boss and his woman is save” Tony said to some of the men who quickly went to untie Flora.
“Turns out there’s more spy than I thought” Stephan said glaring at Tony who smirked at him.
“It’s a shame you have to find out this way and let me tell you that I don’t regret betraying you” Tony said which earned him a glare from Stephan.
“Hurry up and get them out of here” he barked at the men but Ricardo picked up a gun from the floor and stood beside Tony.
“It’s best you leave boss”.
“And leave you alone. Never” Ricardo replied earning a smile from him.
“Now that you have the upper hand, why don’t you just shoot?” Stephan asked.
“Cause it’s not my place to kill you” Ricardo replied as they began to retreat out of the room.
As soon as they were out, Ricardo bolt the door locking Stephan and his men in the room.
Quickly he and Tony went to join his men and Flora in the waiting car.
On the other hand, Ten and some men kept pulling at the door.
“Big boss, we can still stop them if you will just…”
“Let them go “
“But….”
“Let them go for now cause we will be joining them soon ” Stephan said.
“Prepare everyone. We must kill everyone from the devil clan before night fall today” He added which earned a smile from Ten.
Chapter 31 & 32 (Final Chapter) : Aftermath and New Beginnings

“Don’t tell me you are going on this mission after hearing their conversation In the torture room?” Queenie said to Giorgio who was preparing his gear.
Truth is they had both been present in the torture room but they had hidden so they won’t be seen.
“After hearing the things Ricardo said, you still go ahead with your father plans and kill him?” Queenie asked.
“Ricardo is a traitor and you of all people should know how have been waiting all my life for Ricardo to disappear and now that I have that chance, I won’t throw it away, he’s not brother after all” Giorgio said before leaving the room.

“I still can’t believe that Giorgio is the spy” Marissa said as she drank her coffee.
“I don’t know the details but Ricardo must definitely have a reason for being the spy” Leon chipped in.
“Seeing the way my brother went with him. There definitely must be a point we don’t know about ” Bonnie added.
“Why don’t we find out?” Mona asked just as the door open revealing Ten.
“You’ve got no time to find out since everyone is requested to get ready for battle” Ten said.
“What battle?” Bonnie asked.
“We are going to attack the devils and so get @ss moving, you don’t want to make big boss angry right?” Ten said.
“Attacking the devil clan means attacking Ricardo” Bonnie said.
“It does. Have any problem with that or are you worried about that traitor of a brother you have? Don’t worry, I will make his death less painful ” Ten said before leaving the kitchen.
“This is bad. What should we do?” Marissa said.
“For now, we will have to do as the big boss say. Let’s get ready for battle” Leon said as everyone disperse.
On finding out about the battle thing. Red went in search of Dacio and she found him alone in the gym.
“I heard about it, are you okay?” She asked as she approach him.
” I just found out that my brother isn’t my brother and he turns out to be a spy and you are asking if am okay? I feel terrible” Dacio let out slowly.
“Tell me, do you believe everything being said about Ricardo, don’t you think that there’s a story behind it?” Red asked.
“Ricardo isn’t one to do something without having a reason. I also believe that there’s a reason why he’s doing this” Dacio echoed.
“Do you wish to join the others during the attack or will you come with and let’s go find out the real truth from Ricardo” Red asked.
“Are you suggesting we sneak into the devils clan?”
“Yes. Either that or we will never find out the truth, so are you coming or not ?” Red asked stretching her hand towards him and immediately he took hold of her hand.

“Now that Stephan is aware of things am sure he would be preparing his men for a fight and so we should also be prepared” Lord Santos said before turning to stare at Ricardo, Tony and Flora.
“But we have a problem” Tony began slowly.
“The knights clan have got a lot of men which means that we are outnumbered ” Tony added.
“You are right, I didn’t think of that. It’s best if I call for back up from a friend. Am sure he’d be willing to help” Santos said before moving towards Flora.
“Am saddened that we had to meet this way but am very much happy that my son have got a lovely girl like you by his side” lord Santos said to Flora who gave him a smile in return.
As soon as lord Santos left, Ricardo turned to Flora.
“Why don’t you leave this place tonight. I can send three of my guards to watch over you in the city and….” Ricardo was cut short when one of their men came into the room unannounced.
“Sir, we’ve caught some intruders and we believe them to be from the knight clan”
“Where are they?” Tony asked as he pulled out his gun.
“It’s us and we are harmless” Red said as she walk into the room with Dacio.
“What are you two doing here?” Ricardo asked.
“I believe that you owe us an explanation Ricardo. No matter what father says, I would rather hear the truth from you ” Dacio said.
“Same here” Red added while Ricardo let out a sigh before ushering them to seat and telling them everything.
“Have always been jealous about how Dad treated you not knowing that he had a hidden agenda” Dacio let out gruffly.
“So the real villian here is big boss” Red added.
“It is and just like you all, I never thought him to be” Flora said looking pale.
At that moment they heard the sound of an explosion.
“We forgot to tell you that dad is planning on attacking you guys” Dacio said as they heard the sound of gun firing.
“We were also expecting him ” Ricardo said as he brought out his gun.
“Red, can I trust you to protect Flora?” Ricardo asked which got her shaking her head in return.
“I will be back soon, my love” Ricardo said as he gave Flora a kiss before leaving the room with Tony and Dacio who smiled at Red before closing the door.
“Are they going to be fine?” Flora asked and Red took hold of her hand.
“They are. You should know by now that Ricardo always win and he will win this time around ” Red assured.
They stayed locked in but that didn’t stop them from hearing the sound of gun shot which kept coming from different angle.
“I think it’s best we leave. Let’s find somewhere else to hide” Red suggested as she took hold of her hand and led her to the door only to stop short when they saw Ten there.
“And where do you think you both are going?” Ten asked as he quickly step in before she could close the door.
“Don’t tell me that you’ve decided to join the devil clan, Red. I thought you were wiser”
“Get out of my way and I promise not to harm you” Red threatened.
“I should be telling you that. It’s a pity that it has to come to this but I came here to kill Flora and no one is going to stop me” he said as he launch forward.
They both got into a fist fight while Flora stood watching them.
Red did her best to block his punch but she failed when he gave her a kick on the stomach.
“You are nothing but a weakling. The same just as that darn Lazaro”.
“Darn Lazaro?” Red let out slowly.
“Yes. The idiot didn’t agree to my plan which is why I had to eliminate him and made you believe that it’s Dacio doing”
“I had everything planned out but Lazaro had caught me which was why I had to kill him before my secret got exposed”
“So you killed Lazaro?” Red said with so much pain.
“I did and the only reason why am telling you about it is because you will soon join him in the after life”
“You bastard! You made me believe for years that Lazaro….your going to pay for it” Red said as she got off the floor moving towards him but they both stopped when they heard the sound of a gunshot.
Red watched as Ten spill out blood from his mouth before collapsing in front of her.
“Are you okay?” Flora asked holding the gun she used in shooting Ten.
“I am, let’s get out of here” Red said as they both left the room.
Ricardo, Tony and Lord Santos stood outside while pointing their gun in all direction.
All of their men were killed giving the knights clan the upper hand.
“Why don’t you Surrender. It’s over” Santos said as he approach them followed by Giorgio and some men.
“You are all surrounded and it’s no use trying to fight back ” Stephan said.
“For how long will you keep up with this. Is it due to the bet? Did you become a monster due to not wining the bet?” Santos said glaring at his old friend.
“Bet? That was a f^^king long time ago and am totally over it. We made a bet and you won the love of Celine”
“You’ve always been a sore loser Stephan. You were mad at Celine for choosing me, it’s the reason why you sent someone to poison her, it’s the reason why you stole Ricardo away from me and also the reason why you killed Camilla my precious daughter” Santos yelled at him.
“Blah, blah, blah. Those were the past and if I did all that just to get back at you, you certainly deserve it. You knew how I felt about Celine and yet you stole her love from me!”
“I did not do that! She fell in love with me and that’s the truth” Santos yelled at him.
“It’s what you believe but I know that Celine should have been mine but you came and ruined it all. I will make sure you take your last breath today ” he said as he pulled a gun from the hand of one of his men pointing it at Santos.
“Shoot them if they don’t put their weapon down” Stephan threatened and that got Ricardo, Tony and Santos throwing their gun on the floor.
“Goodbye Santos” Stephan said about to shoot but Giorgio stood in his path.
“Let me help you get rid of them,father” Giorgio said and he surrendered his gun to Giorgio.
Giorgio turned to the three men pointing the gun at them.
He stared at Ricardo for a while and surprisingly, he aimed the gun at Stephan.
“What are you doing?” Stephan bellowed.
“What I should have done a long time ago”
“Put that gun down. Will you really shoot me your father?”
“Tch, father? You’ve never been that to me. You never thought me to be your son, Dacio and I were just a hindrance in your life. You made mom’s life a living hell, you married her being in love with someone else and made her miserable till the day she died and that’s something am never going to forgive you for” Giorgio said looking very hurt.
“You don’t have the guts to shoot me. It’s one of the reason I never acknowledge the things you do. You were a complete mess, a loser. Shoot me, I dare you to shoot me if you can” Stephan taunted but Giorgio couldn’t pull the trigger.
“See! You are just a dumb loser. A useless son” Stephan added.
“You are right. I don’t have the guts to shoot you since am a loser” Giorgio said as he pull down his gun.
“Why don’t I show you what a real winner is all about” Stephan said wanting to shoot him but Ricardo shielded Giorgio taking the bullet on his back.
Seeing this Giorgio fired the trigger on the his father multiple of times.
Stephan fell on the floor and a dove flying in the sky was the last thing he saw before dying.
<< One Year Later ~ knights clan >>
Dacio, Giorgio and Ricardo stood in the room silently starring at each other.
“Common! I can’t handle the clan. Let me deal with out business in the city” Dacio implored but his older brother shook their head.
“Sorry. We already played a game and I got to be the one who handle the business in the city” Giorgio said.
“While I take care of the devils clan and besides have got a wedding to prepare for. Am the busiest amongst us all” Ricardo said proudly.
After the death of Stephan. The three brothers decided to bring the two clan together though they still have their respective names.
“And mine will be taking place after yours” Giorgio said which got both brothers starring at him.
“Don’t tell me Queenie finally said yes?” Dacio asked and Giorgio gave a nod.
“Congrats bro” Ricardo said which got him smiling.
The door opened revealing Red dress in a beautiful purple gown.
“What are you three doing here when the party is going on downstairs?” Red asked before going straight to Dacio who gave her a peck on the cheek.
“Just having a brotherly talk” Giorgio replied.
“Then I might as well tell you that Queenie and Flora are dancing with one Mona relative and they are both hot” Red informed which got Giorgio and Ricardo quickly leaving the room.
“Weren’t you tempted to dance with them?” Dacio asked her.
“No. Am only saving the dance for you” Red replied.
“That’s why I love you” Dacio murmured in return.
“Ditto ” she said before giving him a kiss.
At the party, Ricardo stood with Flora watching everyone celebrate the marriage of Bonnie and Mona.
Ricardo’s gaze drifted to Marissa and Tony who were both in each other arms chatting and there is Leon flirting with one of the guest.
Red and Dacio were dancing with other guest while Queenie and Giorgio were no were to be found, probably f^^ king somewhere, Ricardo thought naughtily.
“When is your father coming back?” Flora asked bringing his gaze on her.
Once again Ricardo couldn’t help but to admire her beauty.
“The next month. He’s having the fun of his life travelling around the world. Did I tell you that you look ravishing tonight?” He asked which got her wrapping her arms around his neck.
“And I forgot to tell you something”
“Am listening”
“A little you is growing in me” Flora said and for a while he didn’t get what she meant but when it dawned on him, he lifted her by the waist and spun her around in excitement.
“Are you sure that am going to be a father?” He asked and she nodded.
Once again he pulled her into his arms giving her a tight hug.
“I love you my queen. Thanks for coming into my life” he whispered into her ear.
“Same here Ricky, I love you so damn much” she replied as she kiss his throat.
Together forever, Flora thought as she tightened her hold on the man of her dreams….
