Episode 11 : The Capture
“ I think she is a maid in this manor ” Nabu said seeing Deviana from afar.
“ I’ve never seen her but she is so beautiful” instead of replying his friend Silah just went to dreamland instantly.
Nabu is a spoilt prince always seen with his cousin Silah, they hunt together and they are almost sane age both look had long black hairs and dark skin from their maternal side and they grew up together.
“ maybe she is not a maid ” Silah said scratching his head.
“ she must be since she is in this manor or is she Mia’s friend? ” Nabu asked but Silah shook his head negatively both start walking toward Deviana.
Deviana turn around only to hear foot steps she thought it was Maya.
“ I swear I’m not running away I just decided to leave since you guys are discussing something important ” she said but turning again she found two huge handsome men behind her.
“ oh you scared me! ” she screamed holding her chest and taking a step backward.
“ oh what a beautiful girl ” Silah said in his playboy tone who made Nabu laugh.
“ who are these rude jerks? ” Deviana thought.
“ who are you? ”
“ she doesn’t know us ” Nabu smirk while his cousin nod his head.
“ yes she doesn’t ”.
“ who are the hell are you two? Why are you behaving strangely? ” confused by their sudden behavior she speak with the most irritated voice ever.
“ she is disrespecting you ” Silah said.
“ yes she is ”.
“ seriously I can’t believe my day is so cursed today ” Deviana hissed walking away but the duo follow her.
“ OK I’m Silah this Nabu most handsome prince of this kingdom ” Silah said when they finally block Deviana’s way.
“ prince my foot! There’s no sense of royalty in this one no one can be like Jodi ” as the name cross her mind she smiled a little.
“ she is smiling ” Silah whispered into nabu’s ear.
“ I’m Devi a water maid if you will excuse me the head maid will be looking for me now ” Deviana said almost running with the way her leg moves so fast.
“ how can that beautiful girl be a water maid? I’ll have her for myself ” Nabu thought staring at deviana’s backside.
“ where have you been? ” Maya asked Deviana immediately she enter the maids pavilion.
“ I was just looking around not trying to run away ” Deviana said.
“ OK I believe you let me just take you to my friend ” Maya said and Deviana follow her outside the manor for the first time she breathe in fresh air.
After walking for an hour they finally arrive in a small yard located at the outskirts of the kingdom.
“ Maya is that you? ” a familiar voice said from the hut.
“ yes I am Mera I came to see you ” Maya said immediately Mera came outside.
“ I miss you and who is she? ” Mera asked finally noticing Deviana behind the head maid.
“ she is just a kid I adore so much ”.
“ she is beautiful and ripe for marriage is she a maid? ”
“ yes a watermaid ” Maya replied offering a seat to Deviana.
“ I love young girls getting married. If only those kids were alive they will be getting married and I’ll be proud of them ” Mera said but quickly wipe the lingering tear in her eyes before it fall.
“ one of them is standing in front of you right now but I can’t tell you ” Maya sigh as she thought.
“ where are you from? ” Mera ask Deviana staring into her deep black eyeballs.
“ from a small village at the island ” Deviana replied calmly she doesn’t know why she feel at peace with these women.
“ oh same as me I miss my dear nephew Jodi a lot he must be married now ” Mera said with a smile.
“ Jodi? Oh you know the prince? ” Deviana’s eyes lit up in happiness as she ask Mera.
“ yes of course he is my nephew his mother and I are sisters ” Mera replied.
“ he is the one you missed? ” Maya asked and Deviana blushed slightly.
“ he is my friend ”
“ ohh! ” both women exclaimed together they can actually see the love shining brightly in her eyes.
“ Deviana one day when I get enough power I’ll make you see your prince again ” Mera said with a smile.
“ really? ” her eyes lit up
in happiness
“ sis you are so confident. How are you going to get power?” Maya asked
“ the queen ask me to return to the palace ”
Episode 12 : The Transformation
“ no you can’t go ” Maya said and Mera just smile.
“ I don’t want to go either but I can just ask for a favour you know free that maid so she can go see my nephew again ” Mera chuckle pointing at Deviana who excuse them earlier.
“ its getting late I’ll see you again with Devi ” Maya said waving her friend goodbye and Deviana also said her bye to the strange lady she grew fond of.
The five water maid sat under a tree in the manor discussing about guys.
“ I was sold to this manor on my wedding day ” Patty said looking at the moon.
“ oh that’s sad and your fiance? ” Zai asked.
“ married to lady Pia ” Patty sigh as she sad incident that made her a slave. Loving a man that a rich powerful girl loves. Pia pulls some strings and her family were arrested on her wedding day just because she loves a man pia loves.
“ what?! Mia’s elder sister? The first daughter of this house? ” curly exclaimed.
“ yes of course but life goes on he wants me as his mistress but I reject him calmly because I don’t want more trouble ” patty replied leaning her back against the tree.
“ what of you Deviana? Do you have any man in your life?” Terra asked.
“ well I’m not engaged and I’m not in love but I do have a friend who accompanies me every time he is a prince ” Deviana said with a smile.
“ judging from that smile you love your prince ” Zai said jokingly.
“ no I don’t love him he is just a friend ”.
“ what does he looks like? ” Curly asked.
“ well he is tall, dark skinned, you’ll die if you see his abs. He is just too perfect. like six years older than me. Not married because he was cold to everyone ever since he met me he became more human. ”
“ awwn you guys must have love each other a lot ” Terra said but Deviana just hit her lightly.
“ no we’re just friends ”.
“ OK friends I agree ” Zai said and curly just giggle.
“ and there’s two strange guys I met this morning they call themselves Silah and Nabu they look so weird and annoying ” Deviana said and the others just stare at her with their mouths open wide. There is pin drop silence for a moment before Deviana finally speak up.
“ what’s wrong with you guys? ” she asked noticing their strange attitude.
“ Deviana don’t let anyone hear that from you or you’ll have your head cut off ” Terra said with fear.
“ what happened? ”
“ Nabu is the fourth prince of this kingdom so powerful and his cousin Silah is the young master of this house ” Zai explained Deviana just nod her head.
“ so they are families? No wonder they behave exactly like one particular animal. Monkey ” Deviana thought.
In the north western part of the manor is where lord Silas and Silah lives while The Lady and the the second daughter lives at the south.
“ did you see the slave I just bought? ” Lord Silas said to his son who came to visit for a while.
“ yes I saw her she is pretty ”.
“ I bought her just for you. To find such an elegant beauty one will have to do a lot of work and I want my son to marry the most prettiest lady in this kingdom ” lord Silas.
“ I think I’m falling for her. i just met her once ” Silah said dreamily.
“ I’ll have her promoted to your personal maid you can get to know her better that way ”.
“ thank you father I want her a lot ”.
The next morning…
Silah went to the maids pavilion to check on Deviana but he saw Nabu in front of the pavilion. Deviana came out later she met Nabu with a frown glue to her face. From Nabu’s expression, Silah can read the love all over his face.
“ if Nabu thinks he can get this girl for himself he is wrong. She is mine and mine only ”
Episode 13 : Return to the Sea
“ so you are the one looking for me? Fine I didn’t know you are the prince of this kingdom but you shouldn’t go around disturbing other people’s work ” Deviana said with an expressionless face when she saw the person Zai said was looking for her.
“ oh I see I was disturbing you? ” Nabu said with a wild grin which made Deviana shake her head in disgust.
“ of course you are. OK you are prince you have authority no one questions you bla bla bla but you have to understand the fact that I’m just a maid a maid! I need to earn a living here ” Deviana pour out her frustration.
“ OK you can continue I just came to look at your face but would you like to work in the place you can be my personal maid and you’ll work less and earn more ” Nabu said with his head up high with his pride in the air.
“ no no dear cousin she doesn’t have to work in the palace. My father bought her so automatically she is mine. ” Silah who has been watching them from afar butt in with a huge frown on his face.
“ hey Silah I’m not trying to take her away from here. ”.
“ but you asked if she is willing to work in the palace ”.
“ if your Lordships will excuse me I need to report to report to my work now ” Deviana walk away from the duo.
“ now you have chase her away ” Silah growled.
“ I didn’t you did. And I want her to stay with me ” Nabu scoffs sitting on a stone.
“ stay with him? He must be joking that girl is mine ” Silah thought with a frown.
Deviana met others at the river she dip her pot into the water filling then she saw a face in the river smiling at her.
“ who are you? ” she thought as she look at the familiar smile which looks like hers.
“ I’m your mother you grew up to be lovely I’m so proud of you but you don’t need to know who you really are or you’ll destroy a lot of things ” Lyle said before disappearing. Deviana felt a sharp pain in her hard and she collapse immediately scaring their maids.
“ Devi! Deviana! ” Zai called as she drag Deviana out of the water with Curly and Loire’s help.
“ she is sick again ” Terra said feeling Deviana’s pulse.
“ what happened to her? ” Maya asked when she saw the girls rushed into the manor with Deviana on Curly’s back.
“ she fainted ” .
“ again? What is wrong with her? ” Maya thought helping the girls carry Deviana into the maids pavilion.
“ isn’t that Devi again? ” Li one of Mia’s personal maid said with disgust one can see she hates Deviana with passion. She is one of those superior who find joy in bossing Deviana around. She detest the fact that the head maid took great interest in Deviana.
“ Who is she? ” Mia asked behind her.
Mia is Silah’s sister very beautiful and curvy, she knew a lot about politics. The king like her so he gave her a job in the palace. She is one of the king’s adviser.
Unlike her aunt Azeri or her sister Mia she is kind and gentle like her mother. She refuse to find a suitor or get married she just want to be alone. She took Maya as her second mother since Maya raised her to become who she is.
Azhao doesn’t hate Maya being her husband’s mistress since they get along so well and Maya did a good job running the household but the problem is Azeri and Li both of them always succeed in manipulating Azhao or her daughter Mia but Mia has been rebelling against those two this days.
Aside from being smart, Mia is also a sly fox she knew how to get people to submit to her whims. So whenever her aunt or her try to manipulate her she always counter them.
“ one of the water maids ” Li replied with a frown.
“ she is sick ” Mia said watching as Maya and other girls rush Deviana to the pavilion.
“ I think so ”.
“ hi Mia ” Loma Nabu’s fiancee said.
“ My prince please don’t leave me. no! No my Prince don’t go ” Deviana mutter in her dreams slowly opening her eyes to find Maya, Silah and Nabu beside her.
Silah is obviously jealous thinking Deviana likes Nabu but he doesn’t know he got it all wrong.
Episode 14 : The Family Reunion
“ hi Mia ” loma said with a smile. Loma is Nabu’s fiancée, she is beautiful too but not like Mia and Deviana. She looks innocent but very wicked. She always get away with everything she does. She loves Nabu so much that the love always drive her crazy doing something she shouldn’t do.
“ what brings you here Loma? To look for the prince again?” Mia said calmly knowing what exactly will bring loma to their pavilion.
“ I guess you are right. Where is your brother? And the Prince? ” Loma asked with a stressed voice.
“ hey Lo girl don’t kill yourself because of a man. If you die stressing yourself he is going to marry another person whether you like it or not. Look at you. You are obviously stressed ” Mia said with concern while Loma just laughed.
“ Don’t worry about me Mia. I’m just bored but I can’t find him in the palace that’s why I came here ” Loma replied. Mia just arc her eyebrows briefly that’s always Loma’s excuse for being here. Its not Mia’s first time hearing that though.
“ I think the prince and your brother and in the Maids pavilion I saw both of them there this morning ” Li said interrupting the ladies.
“ what are they doing there? ”
Silah get out of the room angrily thinking about the reason why Deviana chooses Nabu. Is it because Nabu is a prince? And he is not? But he is also powerful.
He kick a stone angrily hurting his leg in the process, he curse his cousin angrily.
“ brother ” Mia called.
“ little sis why are you here? ” Silah asked seeing loma behind her too.
“ we heard you and Nabu are here ” Loma said making Silah shake his head if she knew what is going on here she will surely kill Deviana.
“ Nabu isn’t here he left earlier ” Silah lied but Loma can see someone coming out of Maya’s room.
“ isn’t that Nabu? ” Loma asked pointing at the person who just walk out of Maya’s room.
“ Loma what are you doing here? ” Nabu asked immediately he saw the trouble waiting for him outside. The spoilt bossy talkative they call his fiancée.
“ who is that bitch you are with now? Don’t tell me you are messing with a servant?! ” Loma yelled angrily.
“ it is Deviana ” Li muttered provoking Mia.
“ Li shut up! I told you not to meddle with the Noble’s affairs again ” Mia said angrily.
“ who is Deviana? ” Loma asked.
“ well I want her as my personal maid so I wanted to show my cousin what my new personal maid looks like ” luckily Silah came into rescue.
“ what?! ” Mia and Loma exclaimed together.
“ since father told me he bought her for me so I own her and from now on she is no more a water maid but my own maid ” Silah said with his head up high, happy that he came up with the perfect plan. Now Deviana will remain by his side no matter what.
Nabu is obviously angry at his cousin’s quick plan, he knew with time Devi will soon became Silah’s mistress while he is stuck with this bossy arrogant termagant lady who find joy in frustrating his life.
Deviana woke up very early in the morning so she can start her work but Zai and Loire just laugh at her.
“ your honour ” Curly said confusing Deviana who just stare at her like what is she saying.
“ from now on you are no more a water maid you are now Young Master’s personal maid ” Zai break the news which Deviana still couldn’t get.
“ I don’t understand ”.
“ here is your outfit and your jewelries ” Loire open a wooden box beside the bed.
“ I’ll miss you though ” Zai said hugging Deviana.
At the mention of jewelries Deviana’s mind flash to her ears, she can’t feel the seashells again. She touch her ears to confirm it they are gone.
Episode 15 : The Training
Starting her job with Silah who find looking at her every now and then fun.
“ can you stop looking at my face and let’s continue our journey? ” Deviana said with frown. Being a water maid is more fun than following a spoilt brat around.
finally arriving at the Masters house Deviana has become more angry than ever.
They enter the hall but lord Silas dismiss Deviana immediately. Deviana finally breathe in fresh air.
She went to the grain field again quiet but beautiful in sight. She think about the lady she saw in the river what she told her.
“ who am I? Why is she my mother? She is a river being but I think my grandma have a lot to tell me but how can I get out of this place? I need to see grandma and my Prince too I miss them so much ” Deviana thought.
“ here you are Devi ” Nabu said behind her. Deviana breathe in much oxygen and breathe out the same way. She just escape from one now the other is here. Something should just take her to her formal peaceful life where she had so much freedom without these two appearing everywhere she is.
“ yes ” she replied.
“ you look so pretty today I almost couldn’t recognize you” Nabu said with a more matured expression.
“ thanks your Majesty ”.
“ you were calling a prince in your dream is he one of my brothers? ” Nabu asked but Deviana just smiled at his ignorance.
“ I don’t know any of your brothers. Its just my best friend” Deviana replied.
Meanwhile another third eye is watching them from a close up angle which made them look like a romantic couple. She fumes angrily as she watch them Deviana’s smile earlier complicated everything.
“ so she is Devi? ” loma thought as she look watch them.
“ she is too pretty that it blind my eyes seeing her but I think I’ll be the one to ruin her pretty face ”
Deviana abandon the cold part of her and she pick her old ways again but she still misses Jodi greatly now very much in love with him. Jodi on his part refuse any maiden in the village he just want Deviana by his side. No one but her after all she is the one who put light in his heart. His best friend.
Deviana is getting along with the two cousins even though she feels uncomfortable around them. Nabu appears like he has given up on Deviana but deep inside him he just waiting for the perfect time to betray his cousin.
Silah on the other hand is doing everything to make Deviana his but she is not even looking at him still longing for jodi.
Mia’s birthday party is coming up and lord Silah decided to host a party for her even though she dislikes it. Deviana enjoy her free movement because Silah I is drinking with some guest.
“ Deviana ” Nabu called Deviana who is busy looking at the moon.
“ your majesty ” Deviana replied in a polite manner.
“ what do you think about being a palace maid? ” Nabu asked in a sincere request tone.
“ no I’m fine here but if you really want to do me favour just let me go back to my village ” Deviana replied.
“ that bitch again! ” loma hit her hand on the wooden table watching Nabu and Deviana.
“ so that is Deviana? ” Azeri said jointing the angry Loma.
“ Auntie how did you know her? ” Loma asked.
“ who won’t know the new trouble maker who manage to capture two cousins’ heart ” Azeri said with a smirk.
“ if you want we can get rid of her ” Azeri manage to get Loma’s attention again with her evil plans. Both women smiled knowing both of them are the same thing Devil’s advocate.
