Episode 41 : Insightful Question
“Daddy”
Mira’s eyes went wide open when she heard Catherine’s voice, she was still in Charles room, she had her head resting on his chest and he was sleeping.
Mira quickly sat up, she wonder what the kid would feel if she gets to know what have been going on between her and her father.
Mira turned to Charles who was still sleeping soundly and then she tapped him gently on the cheek.
“Sir Charles please wake up” she whispers, Charles slowly open his eyes then he gave her a charming smile.
“Sir, Catherine….she’s at the door” Mira told him, Charles stopped smiling.
“She is what?” He asked.
“She is at the door” Mira repeats.
Charles paused for awhile before letting out a smile again.
“Relax, wait for me, I’ll be back” he said he gave her light kiss on the lips before getting up to dress.
Catherine kept on banging hard on the door which caused Charles to laugh.
“I’m coming baby” he said while he walked out of the room.
Mira quickly got dress then sha sat in the bed waiting for Charles to returned, when he did he had a smile on his face.
“Oh Catherine, she got scared thinking I sent you away” he said casually as he sat next to her.
“Oh really, that means I have to go and check up on her, she needs me” she said wanting to stand up but Charles held her still.
“But I need you more” he pouted his lips.
“But sir Charles I …..” She stopped talking when she saw him frowning at her.
“I told you to stop calling me sir, call me by name” he said, Mira felt shy.
“I’m sorry, I used to calling you sir” she said with her head bow.
“But I really want you to call me by my name Mira, don’t worry you’d get used to it soon” he cooed as he lifted her chin.
“I’ll try sir…I mean Charles” she said still feeling shy, Charles chuckles when he saw how she was finding it hard to get used to his name.
They both walked out of the room, then they met Catherine having a glass of milk at the dinning table, when Catherine sighted Mira she ran to give her a tight hug.
“Oh thank goodness, I thought you left again, daddy said you had an headache so he allow you to spend the night in his room” Catherine said.
Mira was so shocked, what type of lie was that, Mira looked at Charles and then she found him smiling then he gave her a sexy wink.
“Yes baby…..I emm yes I had an…headache” she said it was not that easy to lie to a kid especially a kid like Catherine who had bright eyes.
“Daddy said that the both of you are now friends that was the reason why he allowed you to sleep in his room, isn’t it?” Catherine said innocently, Mira let out a nervous smile.
“Yes pretty, come let’s go and have breakfast”Mira quickly changed the topic, she gave Charles a funny frown for the lie he just told before leaving with Catherine to the kitchen.
Charles laughed silently, then suddenly he felt someone had been watching them, he turned to his side and then he found Stanley starring, when Stanley saw that Charles caught him starring he wanted to leave but Charles called him.
” Stanley! “.
“Yes sir” Stan replied gently.
“Come over here” Charles said in a commanding tone and with a frown on his face.
He is going to give this silly housekeeper a piece of his mind.
Episode 42 : Charles and Mira’s Tense Relationship
Stanley slowly walked closer to him then he stopped right in front of him with his head bow.
“I’ll like to ask you a simple question Stanley and I’d want a sincere answer” Charles said as he stared at him intensively.
Stanley kept mute.
“What type of relationship do you have with Mira?” Charles asked.
“Sir?”
“You heard me” Charles said harshly.
“She is just my friend” Stanley replied innocently.
Charles chuckles.
“Just a friend” Charles muttered “let it just stay that way because whatever fantasy you have for her should end now” he said,Stanley lifted his head to look at him confusedly.
Charles glared at him harder.
“Mira is mine now,she is my woman and I wouldn’t want to share her with anyone including the person that calls himself her friend, get it? So if you still want a stay in my house you have to stay far away from her so won’t see the other side of me,okey?” Charles said firmly.
Stanley lower his head again then he nodded, Charles looked at him angrily, look at this common housekeeper trying to have a taste in his meal, he should better back off from his Mira.
He would not allow anyone take her away from him especially a housekeeper, he turned and left him in the spot he stood.
It was summer already, Mira suggested that they go to the park to have picnic together, Catherine bought the idea quickly so do Charles, he felt he haven’t done that with Catherine.
They got to the park, they spread picnic mat on the grass, they set out the picnic basket, they bought snakes and drinks too.
They laughed cheerfully as they play Scrabble game, Catherine caught Charles cheating while she quickly exposed him.
“Hey daddy stop cheating” Catherine complained.
“Baby I thought you’ll be by my side” Charles teased her.
“No daddy, I want the game being played fairly”.
“Yes it suppose to be a fair play game” Mira said pouting her lips, Charles chuckles when he saw them ganged up against him.
“Well, cheating is allowed in a game, it makes it more fun” Charles said cheerfully.
“No daddy, I want the game to played fairly” Catherine disagreed.
Charles smiled at them, he was only pulling their legs.
“Alright I’m sorry, I won’t cheat again if that’s what you want” Charles said.
As they were about to continue the game Catherine make a cheerful sound.
“Candy!”
They turned to look at the side and found a candy stand in the park with some children surrounding it,
“Daddy please I want candy”.
“Catherine, we are not done with the game yet” Charles said.
“Daddy please” Catherine clasped her little hands in a pleading form.
“Please let her have the candy, we can continue the game later” Mira also pleaded.
Charles smiled.
“Alright let’s get you candy” Charles said.
Catherine stood then she pulled him along with her.
Charles watched as Catherine kept on ordering lots of candy.
“Slow down baby,you can’t eat all this candies at once”he warned.
“Yes I know daddy, the candy is for all of us” Catherine said sarcastically then she continue with what she was doing.
Charles smiled at her then he got distracted when he heard a familiar voice from behind him.
“Hello Charles”.
He turned to look and then found Rose behind him with a smile on her face.
Episode 43 : Mira’s Fear for Catherine’s Safety
Rose??
What is she doing here?after that night she came to visit him he does not feel like seeing her,but she was here smiling at him without remorse.
“Hi…..Rose” he muttered.
She moved closer to him and then she looked down at Catherine.
“Hi Catty”.
Catherine turned to look who was calling her, she only huffed and carry on with what she was doing, Rose knew the little child does not like her
She has done all she can to get Catherine’s attention but it never works.
“What are you guys doing here” rose asked Charles, she could see he does not want to talk to her.
“As you can see, we’re having a picnic” Charles said with his back against her.
He heard her sigh behind him.
“Charles, I know you’re still upset about the last time we met, please I’ll like us to talk about it……” Rose said.
“There is nothing for use to talk about, I understand you were only expressing your feelings” he said as he turned to look at her.
“But you are still upset with me, you yelled at me….”.
“Don’t blame me for yelling at you Rose, I wasn’t expecting such from you, you’re my late wife’s best friend if you have forgotten” he said huskily
She sighed again, looking sad.
“But I love you Charles, I really do”.
“I don’t love you Rose, stop making things worst by repeating those words” he said through gritted teeth.
“Alright it’s fine, I know you’re still angry with me but I don’t want us to stop being friends, please” she said.
Charles chuckles.
“Friends? Did I just hear you say friends, that’s not going to work anymore” he said firmly.
“Clara is dead Charles, she is dead and gone forever, aren’t you going to start afresh?” She said tiredly, Charles smiled.
“You don’t have to get worried about me because I’ve start afresh” he said with a grin in his face, Rose stared at him confusedly.
“Mira, my love” he said as he looked over her shoulder, Rose turned to look at Mira walking pass her towards Charles who held her hand.
Rose almost burst of shock,like seriously? Mira? The nanny?unbelievable! She should have assumed the moment a nanny was brought into the house.
Mira looked at Rose and then saw her frowning at her.
“Why are you here my love?” Charles asked her.
“I came to check why you guys were taking so long” Mira whispers shyly because Charles was giving her a seductive look.
Charles smiled and then caress her cheek.
“Hmmm missing me already?” He teased her, Mira only smiled, he knew Rose was watching them, he just want to taunt her.
“Ok I’ll take that as a yes” he said then he looked at Rose.
“Oh pardon me, I was busy talking to my woman” he said as he taunt Rose the more.
Rose gave out a smile.
“Oh wow Charles, I never knew you into the the new nanny now” Rose scoffed.
“She is not a nanny anymore, but my woman now” Charles said firmly, Rose still kept her smile intact.
“I’m happy for you then, congratulations, I wish you both all the best in your new relationship” Rose said.
“Thank you, if you would excuse us we still have our picnic ahead of us” Charles said then they went away leaving Rose to stare at them.
Mira felt so unease with the way Rose looked at them, she knew Rose was not wishing them well from her heart, she could tell through that smile there was sadness behind it.
Episode 44 : Mira’s Desperate Plea
Charles smiled as Katie hugged him tightly, he just told her about his new affair with Mira, and Katie just rushed over to his office looking so overwhelmed and it made Charles to laugh in wonder.
What is it with his sister always wanting him and Mira being couples, she looked even more happy than he thought.
“Did you just win a lottery?” Charles teased Katie as they both pulled away.
“Yes I did, a lottery of you being in love again,I’m so happy for you Charles”.
“I knew you had feelings for Mira but I can’t just get why you were so stubborn to admit it” she told him.
Charles took his seat and then gave her a sweet smile.
“Well, I was really stupid to held back my feelings to long, Mira is such a sweet girl, I really love her and I’m ready to shout it on top of the whole world that I’m deeply in love with her” Charles said sincerely.
Katie sat next to him as she watch in talk about Mira, she could see pure love in his eyes and she felt really happy for it.
“I know getting over Clara may be difficult but I guess it’s for the best,I’ll try to move on completely” he said.
Katie smiled and then touched him hand gently.
“Yes you have to move on because of Catherine, you guys to speed up with your relationship so you could get married and give Catherine siblings” Katie said, Charles laughed cheerfully.
“Oh about that,we are still taking it slow, Catherine doesn’t know about it”.
“Why?” Katie frown.
“We will tell her when the right time comes okey,so don’t rush me baby sister” he cooed tapping her chin.
Katie smiled.
“Fine then, I’m just so happy for you brother” Katie said.
“Yes I know drama queen” he said, Katie laughed.
Mira was in her room reading her novel, she felt bored and tasty too, Catherine has gone to school and Charles has gone to work and she was already missing them.
She sighed as she went out of the room to get cold drink from the kitchen, there she met Stanley washing the dish.
“Hi Stanley” she greeted him cheerfully.
Stanley turned to look at her.
“Good afternoon miss Mira” he said then turned to dish.
Miss Mira? Really? When did he start calling her like that? Mira looked at him confusedly, she have been noticing how cold and distance he has been lately,she wonder why he has been acting that way.
She moved closer to him and then placed her hand on his shoulder, Stanley looked at her when he felt her hand on him.
“Is there something wrong Stanley?” She asked in concern.
“I’m fine ma’am” he said then moved away causing her hand to fall off his shoulder, Mira frown at him.
“There is something wrong Stanley, you are addressing me formally and you’ve been acting stranger making ma to wonder what must have happen to you” she said.
“I’m fine, I’m only following instructions led by the boss” he said without looking at her.
“What instruction?” She asked.
Stanley exhaled then looked at her.
“Sir Charles warned me to stay far away from you, he told me that you are now his woman and he wouldn’t want to see me close to you” he said, Mira paused for a while then she smiled.
“Did he really tell you that?”
Stanley nodded, Mira sighed with a smile on her face.
“But that does not mean you should become so cold towards me, I thought we were friends” she said pouting her lips which got Stanley Stanley smiling at her.
“I’m sorry,I was only following instruction”.
“Ok I understand, I’ll take to Charles and see if he will reason with us okey,so….friends again?” She said as she stretch her hand towards him for a handshake, Stanley stared at her hand for awhile and then took it.
‘Ok…friends again”he said smiling sweetly at her while she kept smiling at him, they were distracted when they heard someone coughed softly in the kitchen, when they both turn to look they found Charles glaring at them most especially Stanley.
Episode 45 : Charles’s Realization of His Feelings
Mira’s laughter from the kitchen got caught Charles attention when he came back from work that afternoon,
He walked of the kitchen and then found Stanley and Mira holding hands, they were smiling at each other.
“What’s going on here”he asked with a frown, Mira turned to look at him then smiled.
” welcome Charles “she said as she moved closer to him oblivious of the frown in his face.
Charles smiled at her too but his gaze were still on Stanley, didn’t he warn this fool to stay away from Mira? He held her closer to himself and kissed her right in front of Stanley as he if he wanted to taunt him.
Stanley only looked away.
Mira pulled away from the kiss and then she tried to study his face.
” come upstairs with me “Charles said as she lead them both to his room.
” is there something wrong? “She asked immediately they got into the room.
” yes there is and it’s you being so close to the housekeeper “he said angrily.
” Stanley is just my friend ….”he cut her off.
“Not under my roof, I don’t want you being friends with him” he yelled causing Mira to flinch.
She lower her head sadly as she stared at her little fingers, Charles eyes soften when he saw her reaction, he pulled her close and then lifted her chin up.
“I’m sorry for yelling at you my love, is just that I can’t bear it seeing you and Stanley together” he said tiredly.
Mira looked at him and smile.
“You’re jealous” she said teasely.
Charles sighed.
“You knew I’m jealous and you’re still happy about it right, fine then go on and be friends with him, it was all my fault you’re friends with him, if I had been nice to you earlier you wouldn’t have been close to him, it seems you have not forgiven me totally” he complained while he backed away from her.
Mira felt sad, she went closer to him.
“No don’t think that way, I have forgiven you, I really do” she said sincerely, Charles gave out a mischievous smile.
“Then prove” he said.
“Prove what?” She asked looking so confused.
“You have to prove it to me that you have forgiven me totally” he said with a smirk on his face.
Mira was so confused in what Charles was saying, Charles chuckles.
“Alright I’ll tell you, you have just two ways to prove it which is….. Firstly, you have to stay far away from Stanley” he said firmly, Mira wanted to say something but he hushed her.
“That’s what I want honey, you have to stay far from him, get it?” He said which got Mira nodding her head,
“” secondly…. “He pulled her closer to himself and then whispers into her ear.
” you have to make love to me right now to ease my anger”he said seductively.
Then he took claim of her soft lips slowly, he kissed her gently and before they knew it the kiss became wild, they ended up on the bed and then continue their magical moment from there.
Charles came home and then found Catherine at the door step looking so worried, she rushed up to him and hugged him, he looked around for Mira with his eyes.
“Daddy you’re back” she said.
“Yes baby where is aunt Mira” he asked curiously.
“I haven’t seen her since I came back from school” Catherine said.
“Really”
“Yes daddy”
Charles went up to Mira’s room but she was was not there, he tried calling her cell phone but unfortunately she left her phone in the room
“This is weird, Mira never goes anywhere without her phone or she telling me her where about, so where could she be?” He muttered to himself worriedly.
He went downstairs and asked Stanley where Mira could have gone to but he told him he knew nothing about where she could be.
Charles became so worried, where is Mira?
