I opened my door and we went in , Laura sat down, she closed her eyes and tears started pouring down her cheek. I was wondering why the sudden tears.
Did I hurt you? I asked going close to her!

Episode 12 : Breaking Point

Laura’s mother noticed Laura wasn’t in a good mood while her father just focused on the television set.
While she stares at Laura, Laura was trying to act like she was fine , she felt the cough coming she wanted to run to her room but she couldn’t hold it so she coughed and this time was worse, it wasn’t just little blood but lots of it, the cough lasted for a minute, it’s the longest so far, her chest began to burn.

Laura, let’s go to the hospital right now!! I don’t have a daughter to lose!! Her mother said.
Laura raised her eye brows ” you’ve already lost me” I am not going to the hospital…
Let her be! All I know is that she’s going to break that thing with Alfred ! Her father said.

You think you’re going to d!e? You’re not dying because I want you to witness everything I’ll do to Alfred.
Take it easy on her, Laura is going through a lot right now. ! Her mother said.

When she got there she turned off her phone and told the doctor to admit her!

I went to visit Emmanuel, I needed to talk to someone, he told me to be calm and not do anything that will affect me!! I stayed for a while before leaving!! I went back home and started looking for a job again!! I successfully got one!!
Laura’s phone was switched off for four days, I never knew she was admitted at the hospital without telling anyone!! I couldn’t speak with her, I never saw her too, I was worried!!

On the fifth day, she was out from the hospital, so she called me! I told her I was at work and will be coming back late!! She said she was going to wait till I get back, so I told her where I kept my keys !!
She opened my door, freshened up and prepared dinner, she took her drugs and held her inhaler in her hand, she fell sleep after a short while!!

I closed from work and went back home, when I got home I saw her fast asleep, she was running temperature, I observed her and noticed she used her bag as her pillow again!! I gently removed the bag and placed her head on a pillow, she turned and her inhaler fell !!
I picked it up, read the content , opened her bag and saw lots of drugs and test results! Then I noticed she has been in the hospital the days I didn’t hear from her.

I held the inhaler! 15minutes time she woke up!!
AlFRED! Are you just coming?? She asked.
Yeah! How are you?
I’m fine!! I miss you.
Where have you been? Didn’t see you for days!!

I went to stay with a friend to calm my nerves!! She said trying to reach for her bag!
I noticed she wasn’t comfortable, she slowly opened the bag and began to search for something!!
Is everything alright?? I asked.
Yeah, I guess I forgot something at her place!! She said still trying to look for her stuff!!
She went straight to the bathroom to cough when she came back I asked her what she has taken !
She said “ nothing “ I think I have to go back and get my stuff.

It’s late Laura! Just wait till tomorrow, I responded to her!!
She sat down , opened her bag again and began to search for it again.

When I was in pr!son, my father came to visit me and once told me you were sick, when I asked what happened to you, he never told me what happened till date!! Whenever you come here and use your bag as your pillow I always wonder why you choose to use it, I understand better now!!Take! Here’s your inhaler Laura, I guess it’s what you’ve been looking for ! AlFRED, I use this inhaler for the cough as it has given me chest pains.

She kept quiet and was just staring at me with tears in her eyes! She was holding it back! She couldn’t hold it so she coughed again covering her mouth and went to the bathroom, I followed her and saw her coughing blood!!

It’s as a result of that fall! You know Sandra pushed me down and when I fell I hit my chest on the ground, I never landed on my feet! It started when you were arrested and till now that’s how it has been.

Episode 13 : Fight for Justice

My mother said she’s going with me to the station , we stepped out and notice they came with a van! We entered and they drove us to the station, Laura’s father had already written down his statement..
The D.P.O Asked me to seat and asked why I slapped Daniel, I told him he slapped Laura knowing that she’s not healthy.
It’s a family issue, why would you involve yourself? He asked removing his glasses.

I had to involve myself because Laura is my fiancé.
God forbid! Daniel interrupted.
Well. Why you’re here is because of the blood 0ath, Daniel wants it broken .

My mother started crying as they took me to cell!!! She stayed for a while pleading them before she went back home, my phone was taken from me, Laura’s father came to me and told me I’ll be out if only I break the covenant and apologize to him..

Episode 14 : Uncovering Secrets

I pressed the toy soo hard and discovered something was inside, I didn’t want to tear it open so I carefully check the back of it, I saw a zip , I zipped down and behold it was a lil video camera 🎥 I tried to turn it on but the battery was dead!! I picked up my power bank and plugged it!!
I fell asleep too soon and the loud bang on my door woke me up!!
Who’s that? I angrily asked as I squeezed my face, got up and walked to the door.

It’s me!
Laura?? I quickly opened the door and gave her a warm hug!!! Why have you decided not to take my calls??
I’ve been busy AlFRED, I’m here to give you back your bracelet, and I also want us to talk about breaking of the oath.

I unplugged it and turned it on and was operating it when I saw the video of I and Laura playing when we were kids, we smiled and Laura asked me why would mr brown monitor our movements!! We laughed about it and continued watching videos of him and his daughter too,
Is this the reason why he told you to hide it? There’s no evidence here and it’s just our videos and his family’s video!!

Atleast our childhood is being recorded!! So that’s an achievement!! Let’s keep watching I said as I kept putting random videos
Laura fell asleep , I continued till I got tired, I took a break and continued watching, I played a random video titled “ AlFRED and Laura”. I woke Laura up and pleaded with her to join me and watch the video since it had our names on it!

She grumbled at first but accepted anyway,,, I played it video and we began to watch it , it started from when Sandra pinned Laura to the ground and asked me to climbed her, mr brown videotaped everything that happened down to how he was murdered by Sandra, Sandra shot him with a silent gun and stabbed him,!

Sandra actually k!lled Mr brown cause he threatened to expose her if she doesn’t say the truth!! Laura said in shock
We need to take this to the station!!

No Laura, no one will believe us and Sandra’s husband will use his power and position to fight me and make everything looked planned and it will even be worse if they know I’ve been with the toy all these years, you know they asked me and I denied taking it!! Laura took her drugs, quickly rushed to the bathroom to shower, she came out n@ked!!
