” Get out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Vanessa suddenly yells as she throws pillows at her.
Morgan’s eyes widened as she hurriedly left when Vanessa was losing control.
” Fck you and your stupid rules btch” Vanessa said with grethed teeth as she slides to the floor.

Chapter 5 & 6 : Sparks Fly

A slight knock on the door made Vanessa eyes flutter open as she stretches a little….scrotching her eyes as she tried to figure out who was standing in front of her door…..the figure moved closer and she finally opened her eyes fully….. looking less tensed as she sat up.
” You aren’t ready yet?” Jessica said and Vanessa yawns loudly.
” I’m up…… just finding it a little lazy to get ready.” Vanessa said and Jessica bit her lips…. nodding in affirmation.
” It sucks right?……I mean us moving down here…. having to put up with Morgan’s shitty behavior…I mean she isn’t as nasty as I thought she would be considering the fact that we have always visionlized her to be a hairy looking monster in the woods……” She said and they both chuckled at the last part.
” It’s not going to be easy….you know to like accept her but still don’t you think we should give her a chance?” Jessica said and Vanessa face went sore instantly.
” No” she mutters as she hops off the bed…. slipping her gorgeous legs in a fluffy flip flop.
” Vanessa I really think we should at least hear her side of the story……no mother would hurt her children like that without a reason” Jessica said and Vanessa couldn’t believe her ears.
” Seriously?……I don’t think there should be a reason for a mother to hurt her children….. infact there is no justifiable reason at all…… listen Jess….. there is no way I’m giving that whore a chance” Vanessa spat spitefully and Jessica froze.
Vanessa was right but isn’t it rather unjust to hear only one side of the story….. definitely Morgan has a past to share but what reason would be valuable enough for a mother to hurt her kids?
” I still think we should listen to her…..I mean it wouldn’t hurt to listen” Jessica said and Vanessa turned to her.
” I don’t wanna talk about this…….I have to get ready” Vanessa said and Jessica sneaked behind her and hugs her from behind….. earning a smile from her.
” You are such a stubborn head……I just hope you don’t find someone that matches up to you” Jessica said and Vanessa rolls her eyes.
” That can never happen…..go away I’m trying to focus” Vanessa said and Jessica left.
” No one can ever be like me” she mumbles as she stared at her reflection on the huge mirror she said as she clenched her fists….. trying really hard to suppress the boiling emotions running through her.
Everything about their childhood seems so unreal to her…… growing up she watched other kids glow in the love and harmony of their parents…… walking into the school premises to see kids of her own age getting forehead kisses from both parents…… hugging…. laughing….. waving to their parents until their cars are out of site……… bragging about the lastest family game nights…..trips….fun outtings……damn!….this really hurt back then and it still hurts even more now.
For some reason….she thinks there is more to what they are being told….she feels they are hiding something from them and her instincts almost got proved……or didn’t it?

Seven years ago*
Vanessa could be seen clad in a pinkish gown…. topped with black sneakers and a pink bow.
She was walking childishly towards her dad’s room … reaching the door where she placed a soft knock on it.
” Come on in princess” her dad’s voice echoed through the other end and she giggled…. pushing the door sightly……
” Going somewhere daddy?” She asked in her cutest voice and her dad flashed her a tooth smile.
” Yes princess…..I got a huge business meeting and they need me there” he said and the smile faded instantly.
” Well I was thinking we could go to the amusement park…. the new one that just got opened four days ago……” She said and her dad paused to look at her for a sec as he saw her fiddling with a piece of paper.
” Honey you know how important my work is…… it’s what puts food on the table and pay all the bills around here ” he said and she huffed….. jumping on his huge king sized bed….. bouncing a couple of times as she steadied herself.
” But dad all my friends have gone there already……I also wanna go there……you hardly spend time with us…” She said with a sad face and he sighed.
” Why don’t I book tickets so Miranda takes you there….. huh?” He asked.
” No…..I wanna go with you……you always push us off on Miranda all the time….I wanna have fun with my Dad” she said and he knees in front of her….. gently stroking her golden locks.
” Honey…..you know I love you and your siblings so much and it hurts to hear you say stuffs like that…..”
” But it’s true…..”
“It’s not darling…… I’m going to make time when there is time okay?……but for now just go with Miranda….” He said and she nods slowly…..he smiles as he stood up and walked into the closet.
She sighs heavily and stood up….. walking over to his drawal.
” He thinks it’s cool to abandon us” she mutters as she opens it and starts going through the papers.
She soon got bored and made to close it when a black cover paper caught her attention.
” What is this?” She mutters as she carries the papers and opened it.
” DNA” was boldly written on it .
” What’s DNA” she mutters again and made to open the second page when the book got snatched away.
” Stop messing with my stuff Vanessa… How many times do I have to warn you?” He dad asked sounding stressed and uneasy.
” I’m sorry dad….I didn’t mean to” she said and he shot her a glare….. walking out with the papers…..

Walking down the stairs and a huge grin plasters on his face instantly as he saw Mrs Rosa setting the table with different meals.
” Look who’s up?” She said all smiles and he sat down staring at all the delicacies in front of him ready to devour.
” Don’t tease me Nonna….” He mutters…. digging into the lobster balls shoving it into his mouth at a go and Mrs Rosa eyes popped.
” Woah Dylan…. easy” she said trying to suppress the laughter building inside of her.
” It’s your fault Nonna” he said and she chuckles….. sitting beside him…. resting her right hand on his shoulder.
” You like?” She said and he nods virgoursly with a happy glint in his eyes.
For the past thirteen years….she is the only one who knows who the real Dylan is.

And jovial.
His past is the main reason why he has turned his back against the world…… shutting all the doors…not allowing anyone in…. except her.
She smiles as he continuously stares at her.

” Don’t you think it’s about time son? ” She said and he furrows his eyebrows.
” Time for what?” he said and Mrs Rosa tightens her grip on his shoulder and he looks at her concernly.

” Son… listen to me….he has suffered enough….I visited him yesterday…..he isn’t looking nice…. just let him go” she said while breaking down

” And I don’t plan to” she said as he stood up…. walking out the door.
” Dylan…. hold on…..” She said but he was already gone….. she sat back slowly as she held her face in her palms.

Sitting elegantly on his expensive sofa along side with his buddy bud…..
” You don’t look happy” Jordan said and Carlson sighs.
” Do I have a reason to be?” He asked and Jordan nodds knowingly.
” It’s really hard…..I heard what happened to Grande…. what up with that dude?… trying so hard to outshine your business” Jordan said and Carlson cranks his jaw muscles.
” He tried to steal my business ideas with the help of that hell whore some years back…..throwed the bastard into jail and I heard he got out two months ago….. only to go and sign a deal with the famous Chinese mogo….you know how hard I have been trying to get a one on one meeting with those Chinese?…..I wonder how he is doing it” Carlson said as he tried to relax his mind.
” Definitely someone with huge connections is backing him up…..” Jordan said and Carlson smirks.
” I have a plan and I’m going to strike very soon…. just watch” Carlson said with glint.
” I trust you hundred percent” Jordan said and they both chuckled softly….. whilst drinking.

” Finally someone is ready” Abigail said jokingly as Vanessa stepped down stairs and met the three of them all set.
” Seems like someone is a little bit too desperate to get into a new school” Vanessa said and Abigail’s jaw dropped instantly.
” No way!…. Take it back” she said with bulging eyes and Jessica chuckles.
” Hmmm…..I won’t because it’s the truth” Vanessa said and Abigail walked up to her…. flickering her index finger on her forehead earning a yelp from Vanessa.
” Hey what gives?…..you almost ruined my beautiful face” Vanessa said and Abigail grined.
” Will you both keep it down?” Abbie suddenly said and Vanessa turned to face him properly.
” Did someone just speak?” Vanessa said feining ignorance and Abbie rolls his eyes.
” Naah….I didn’t hear anyone” Jessica retored.
” Me too” Abigail said…. stylishly poking Jessica with her elbows.
” Ha ha ha….. very funny” Abbie said and the three girls bursts into laughter whilst holding their tommys.
” What did I miss?” Morgan suddenly appears and the laughter died down almost immediately.
She noticed it and awkwardly tucks her hair between her ears.
looking at her closely….. Vanessa noticed they had the same hair color and ear buds….she hates the fact that they had something in common…. she’s definitely dying her hair and wearing contact lenses.
” Is our ride set?” Abbie asked and Morgan faced him.
” Yeah….” She mumbles and Abbie nods.
” Cool we will be leaving then” Abbie said but Morgan stopped him.
” Won’t you guys have breakfast first?….” Morgan said lightly.
” Nah not really” Jessica said but Morgan persisted.
” You guys have to eat something…..I mean I spent the whole morning in the kitchen so…….”.
” Wait….you were the one that cooked?” Vanessa rudely interrupts.
‘ umm yeah” Morgan said and a loud scoff was heard.
” We will pass…..you don’t have to impress with whatever trash you made…..it ain’t gonna work” Vanessa said and Jessica bit her lips as she stared at Morgan.
” We will be on our way.. see ya ” Abbie said as he gave her a side hug…. pecking her right cheek lightly as he left….. Vanessa almost throwed up at the sight of it .
Abigail waved at her before leaving….. same as Jessica.
” Why are you instigating your siblings against me Vanessa?……” Morgan asked heartbreakingly and Vanessa scoffed.
” How I’m I instigating my siblings?…..we don’t like you…. deal with it” Vanessa said as she walks out leaving Morgan to the lifeless silence 🤐
3 hours later ***
The blue Camry pulled up in front of a gigantic building and they all stepped down……on the front the name of the school was boldly written
Looking further you could see different students tropping in and out of the premises….it was hella big and busy…. nobody was sparing anyone a second look.
” It’s even more beautiful than I imagined” Abigail said and Abbie nods in agreement…. it’s really beautiful.
The building consists of three blocks…..a big pillar separating each blocks from one another……three way entrance of each blocks.
On the left side entrance was block one ( first year students).
on the middle entrance was block two ( second year students).
On the right side of the entrance was block three (third year students).
Each blocks had it’s unique color making it really captivating.
Soon a female figure approached them with a smiling face.
” Hi.. I’m guessing you are the Millers?” She asked politely.
” You need a sign board guled to our foreheads before you figure that out?” Vanessa asked rudely and the smile faded almost immediately but she maintained her anger.
” Here are you schedules and every school activities for the term…. Including your classes and… “
” Yeah yeah whatever….. just tell us where our room is ” Vanessa interupts and the lady breaths in and out in other to maintain her cool.
” Floor six room 12″ she said calmly and Vanessa nods…. walking up front.
” I’m so sorry……. she’s just having a bad morning” Jessica said and the lady smiles… Walking away.
” Okay someone has to do something about that girl” Abbie said and Abigail chuckles.
” I bet she’s gonna find someone that’s going to shove her long tongue back into her throat” Abigail said and Jessica sighs.
” Come on first year student….. . let’s go” Abbie said dragging Abigail along with him into the left entrance but immediately parted ways since boys and girls aren’t allowed to stay in the same hostels.
Vanessa was busy scanning the environment with her sharp eyes.
” She doesn’t have a bad taste after all…..but I still don’t like it” she mutters and a yelp made her jolt…. turned to see Jessica groaning in pains on the ground.
“Jessica!” She hollered….. running towards her as she slowly helps her to stand.
” What the fuck happened?” Vanessa asked and Jessica bit her lips tighter.
” That jerk bumped into me without saying sorry” Jessica said and Vanessa furrows her eyes brows.
” Who?” She asked and Jessica pointed at the right entrance of the block.
A tall guy clad in nude brown hoodie could be seen walking into the block.. he’s a fucking third year….but that doesn’t give him the right to hurt her sister.
” How dare he…….” Vanessa made to go after him but Jessica held her shoulder quickly… Stoping her.
” We don’t have time for that…… Let’s just go” Jessica said and Vanessa stared at the retreating figure once more and noticed something about him…..a peak of his dyed green hair locks could be seen and Vanessa smirks.
” I will definitely get him” she mumbles to herself.
FLOOR SIX **
“Damn!” Vanessa sighs out loud as they got to room 12.
” This is it ” Jessica said and made to knock but Vanessa caught her hands mid air.
” Are you for real?” Vanessa said as she pushed the door open and their jaws dropped
The room was large and spacious….. covered in yellow wall painting….. the room was divided into four corners…. two at the left and two at the right…. leaving a huge walking space at the center.
Immediately they dragged their luggages in facing the left side of the room….. since it’s was empty…. paying no attention to see if someone was there or not.
Vanessa took the lower part and sighs….. running her hands through the middle sized bed……not as big as the one her home but still manageable.
” This place is cool” Jessica said and Vanessa nods.
” Hi….. it’s nice to finally meet you” a cute voice said behind them and they shireked…. gasping as they clutched onto each other out of fear
The girl noticed this and chuckles.
” Fuck you scared the hell outta me gurl” Jessica said as she lets go of Vanessa.
” I’m sorry…… it’s just that you girls were carried away….. You didn’t see me sitting over there” she said pointing to the right side of the room
” Ouuu” Vanessa managed to say ” so we are roommates?”
” Heck yeah……my name is Scarlett and she’s Naomi” she pointing at the first corner of the right side and that’s when they noticed a girl with red hair sitting quietly…. facing her reading table so she was backing them.
” Nice to finally meet you Scarlett but don’t try that next time” Vanessa said and Scarlett laughs.
” So what department are you both in?” Scarlett asked.
” Well I’m in science and she’s in English” Jessica said and Vanessa nods as she tucks her hands in her baggy jean pocket.
” That’s super cool…… I’m in Arts” Scarlett said and Jessica smiles.
” What part?” Vanessa asked.
” Architecture” Scarlett said and they girls looked at each other and back at Scarlett.
” What about her?” Vanessa asked pointing at Naomi and Scarlett sighs.
” she’s in Business class” Scarlett said.
” No kidding….. considering the fact that she’s super cool at minding her business” Jessica said and Vanessa nods.
” Yeah…… it’s pretty anoying though…. can’t she see us?” Vanessa asked and Scarlett sighs even louder.
” Just ingore her…… that’s how she’s behaves towards new students….. I’m sure she will open up soon” Scarlett said and a loud hiss could be heard from Naomi as she stands up….. walking out the door making sure she slams it shut loudly.
” Yeah I’m not sure about that” Vanessa said in a hush tone.
” She seems pretty cold” Jessica said and Scarlett sighs.
” Just forget about her….. it’s really cool to have someone to talk to….. this school has been super boring” Scarlett said as she helped them get settled.
” Whatever…..I just don’t want anyone standing in my way” Vanessa said with an eye roll.
” You won’t have a problem with that as long as you avoid the school’s maniac” Scarlett said and Jessica frowned.
” Who’s that?” She asked.
” You guys probably haven’t met him yet….. but it won’t take long before you do……but to avoid further cases I would suggest you never come across him” Scarlett said and Vanessa laughs mockingly.
” Who is that?…… some war lord or what?” Vanessa said and Jessica smiles.
” He worst than that…….dark eyes……tall…. muscled….. green hair?…… he’s really intimidating” Scarlett said and Vanessa face churns

” What is it?” Scarlett asked and Vanessa lips parted slightly.
” Green hair…… it sounds so familiar” Vanessa said and Jessica eyes popped.
” He’s the jerk that bumped into me!” She suddenly yells and Scarlett jaws dropped.
