Chapter 13 & 14 : Love and Conflict
Vanessa walked down the hallway with different thoughts running through her mind…..
Yes…. she’s kinda attracted to him but no….she just can’t cheaply make him realize that.
What if he was just playing her?……. this sudden closeness…..It ain’t right but is she not over thinking this because it was honest mistake so there is no need to worry.
She got to her room and opened the door only to meet Scarlett sitting down….. immediately Scarlett stood up….. walking briskly towards her and she shifted a little….. creating a safe distance between them.
” Vanessa…..I was kinda worried…..you haven’t been picking my calls….I just thought maybe something happened to you” Scarlett said nervously and Vanessa scoffs.
” I thought I made it clear that you should never talk to me……ever again” Vanessa asked and Scarlett gulps.
” Look I’m sorry okay?………I shouldn’t have said all those things…..I was just looking out for you” Scarlett said and Vanessa nods.
” Woah…… thanks mom……but I don’t need you to look out for me… You’ve done enough” Vanessa said and walked to her corner…. ignoring all of her attempts.
” Oh come on Vanessa……you aren’t really going to stop talking to me because of some silly argument right?” Scarlett asked and Vanessa backed her……
Scarlett sighs as she walks over to Vanessa and kneels before her.
” You see this?” Scarlett said and Vanessa reluctantly looks at her……
” I got this scar because of Dylan…….. when I stood up against him……he made sure I regretted it……” Scarlett said and Vanessa face suddenly softens.
She gazed at Scarlett and gently touched the spot.
” Dylan really did this to you?” Vanessa asked and Scarlett sighs.
” Yeah……but do you know what’s strange?” She asked and Vanessa nods In a no affirmation.
” He also did the same thing to himself…… although he apologized but I still see him as a mental case…… someone that’s lost it upstairs…….he may act nice but trust me when I say I have seen Dylan in the worst way any human has ever seen him…….. that’s why I’m stuck in second year” Scarlett said and Vanessa furrows her eyes.
” Wait…… aren’t you a second year student?……I don’t understand” Vanessa asked with curiously taking it’s hilts on her.
” I’m a third year student…….. it’s a long story but after I survived for Dylan’s scar on my body…….he made sure I repeated my second year as part of my punishment” Scarlett said as she stood and Vanessa follows suit.
” Why didn’t you stop him?…….you could have just gone to the school authority and do something” Vanessa said and Scarlett chuckles bitterly
” You still don’t get it do you?……. Dylan Brian owns this fucking school……I don’t know how he did it but on our second year we heard the dean of this school got arrested by Dylan and all of his property were handed over to him” Scarlett said and Vanessa gasped…….but how?
” Are they by any chance related?” Vanessa asked.
” Nobody knows anything about Dylan’s life……..” Scarlett said and Vanessa looked away.
From what she had just heard that means Dylan might have some issues that needs to be carefully attended too.
Nobody is born a physophat…… something must have happened to him……. something terrible must have made him turned into this heartless monster that seems to be feared by all.
But what could have possibly made Dylan turn out this way?…
Who hurt him?
Vanessa stared at Scarlett as she pulled her in for a hug.
They hugged each other as if their lives depends on it….. squeezing all their emotions into the hug.
” Everything is going to be okay?” Scarlett whispers and Vanessa nods…….in as much as she tries to believe what Scarlett is saying…..she just can’t help but feel like all these are made up.
Scarlett is lying…….?
SCHOOL PREMISES
It was busy and buzzingly as all the students tried to get into their classes as Vanessa and Jessica strode through the hallway.
” So you guys made up last night?” Jessica asked and Vanessa bit her lips.
” Yeah…… what’s the point of holding grudges with her?…… she’s was only looking out for me” Vanessa said and Jessica nods.
” But do you really believed all those stuff she said?…… about Dylan hurting her and making her repeat second year?” Jessica asked curiously
” I don’t know what to believe…… it’s really strange but I don’t see how dangerous this Dylan guy can be…..I mean I smashed his car and he couldn’t even do nothing about it” Vanessa said with a hint of pride lingering in her voice.
” I just want you to be careful……and doesn’t it seems strange that those two witches….. didn’t bother you….they just layed low” Jessica said and Vanessa laughs.
” Of course they layed low…… Just forget about them” Vanessa said as George started walking up to them…… Vanessa felt her heart skipped for a second.
Oh stop it you stupid heart…..you can’t possibly be skipping for him?
” Hey girls” he said and Jessica nudge Vanessa who smiled weakly.
” Hi George” Vanessa said and Jessica had a funny look on her face.
” So you were the guy that kept my sister waiting late outside huh?” Jessica teased and Vanessa shot her a glare.
” I actually met you sister sulking and decided to cheer her up….. right buttercup?” He asked……his attention towards Vanessa and it took her three seconds to realize that she was the one he was calling buttercup……..
” Yeah that’s true” Vanessa mumbles and Jessica smiles mischievously.
” I’m going to leave you guys then……. have fun but not too much fun…. cause class starts in thirty minutes” Jessica said walking away and George faced Vanessa who was trying to avoid his gaze.
” Why?” He asked and she looks up at him.
How can someone be this perfect.
“Shut up heart” she scolded mentally.
” Why what?” She asked.
” Look what happened last night was an honest mistake okay?…….I don’t want that to make us feel akward……you are acting strange” he said and she musters all her energy…… finally looking at him.
“He’s wearing his glasses’ her heart teased and she nugde herself.
” Nothing is akward between us…….. it’s not like I like you or anything” she said fiddling with her hands.
Lies!!!!!
” Cool…..so maybe we could hang out later?……get to know more about each other?” He said and she smiles.
Is he asking her out or what?……..it doesn’t matter as long as she gets to spend time with him.
” Sure……I will let you know when I’m free” she said and quickly walked away.
George smiles as he watched her leave…….well… he’s getting somewhere.

The video call between Morgan and Carlson got heated as tears where at the brink of failing from her eyes.
” Carl…..I don’t know what to do anymore……at least Abbie and Jessica are opening up to me but Vanessa and Abigail and tough to handle” Morgan laments and Carlson rubbed his forehead.
” And why are you telling me about this?……I thought my part of the deal was done and I don’t have anything to do with you and the kids so why don’t you just let me be?” Carlson said in utter frustration.
Honestly he thought he was done with Morgan but she keeps bothering him every now and then and that’s fucking with his mental health real bad.
” Carl don’t say that…….no matter what happens I’m still your wife….. don’t forget that” she said and Carlson scoffed.
” You still consider yourself my wife?…….you are so funny Morgan……what happened to those days were you kept flaunting devorce papers all over my face” he asked and she went silent.
” Why are you quiet?……you suddenly can’t speak?…… listen Morgan you should be thanking your lucky stars that those kids even agreed to move in with you…… I’m still surprised Vanessa hasn’t stabbed you yet……why are you acting as if you didn’t bring all this shit upon yourself……you wanna play the victim card here?” He said and she looks away in….. trying not to cry.
” You abandoned your kids when they needed you the most and as if that wasn’t enough…… you dragged me into your world of lies………. I’m still living with a secret that I’m not sure I would be able to keep for long…… what would happen to Jessica if she finds out about the truth?……..you think she’ll still look at you?……..that girl needs to know the truth!” Carlson suddenly yells and Morgan eyes popped.
” I can’t bring myself to tell her…….she will kill me” Morgan mumbles as her lips quivers.
She never thought it will come to this.
” And Vanessa….. what will happen when she finds out the truth about who she really is?…….you should better get your coffin ready” Carlson said spitefully and Morgan couldn’t take it anymore…..she bursted out into tears as they kept pouring down her eyes uncontrollably.
She messed up big time……
” And I heard Grande is back to claim his rights?……. Morgan what were you thinking when you got yourself involved in all of these?…….I begged you……I warned you but no……I was too poor to talk to you and now look at yourself……you are finally rich but your happiness is gone….. that’s what you get for being greedy” Carlson said as he ends the call and Morgan eyes swells with tears.
He was right….she was greedy and her hunger for riches pushed her into all of these…….if only she had been contented with the little she had then……all of these wouldn’t have been happening.
” I just hope they forgive me……my days are already counting……I hope I die with their forgiveness” she said as she hugged herself and allowed all the tears she’s been holding for years find it’s way down on her pretty face.
Classes were over and everyone was finding there way back to the hostel…… Vanessa decided to spend s little more time to read……. it’s her first time here and she wants to make a good impression.
” Are you sure you don’t wanna leave yet?” Scarlett asked as she peaked her head through the door.
” Nah…… just go ahead without me……I will be back soon” Vanessa said as she focused on her reading.
Scarlett shrugged her shoulders as she walks away with Jessica…..
Vanessa was so engrossed in her reading that she didn’t know it was past time for her to leave.
” Young lady…… classes are over you should leave now” the school security said and Vanessa gasped as she checks her phone.
Fuck!!!!!
” I’m sorry” she mutters as she packed her stuffs and left.
” How did the time moved so fast?” She questions herself while walking and she suddenly got dragged into one of the empty class room.
She jolts and made to scream but her mouth got covered so all her screams became muffled.
She continues to struggle but the grip on her was still firm.
” If I were you…..I would calm down and listen carefully” a familiar musky voice whispers in her ears and her eyes raged.
Dylan??????
” What do you want from me?” She asked with gritted teeth as her eyes bore into his with anger…..he simply smile…
” You had the guts to destroy my car and you think I will just let you go?……. come on don’t be silly” he said as his breath fans her face…..his hands still held her tightly as her back rests on the wall…..they were so close that she could feel his heart beat.
” What do you want from me Dylan?” She asked again…. although a part of her was shaking but she isn’t going to let him see it……. that’s called being weak.
” Simple….. just be a good little girl and apologize….. and maybe I might not rip your clothes off right here and now and do things to you that you would never imagine” he said rawly and her jaw dropped instantly but she managed to put herself back together.
” Urgh!!!,,,, You must really think you’re funny but guess what?…. I’d rather lose my tongue than do you what you are asking of” she says as her breath sized in it’s cage…..her eyes darting from each corners wondering what he would do next.
” Are you sure about that princess?” He asked with a Sly smirk playing on his lips as his eyes moves dangerously over her body.
” Don’t call me that!” She spat and tried to wriggle out of his grip bit that only made him apply more force… causing her to wince in pain.
” I’m only sparing you because you are a newbie…..but the next time you cross your limits….. you are not gonna like my next action” he said scaryly but that only pushed her guts.
” How pathetic but if you think you are going to win in this battle?….then bring it on” she said and the smirk on his face disappeared.
He slowly let’s go of her and she lets out a little whimper…..
His eyes fixed on hers as they share an intense look.
” You just bought yourself a free ticket to mysre town” he said as he walked out and she was left gumbstruck.
Did he just threatened her?
She sighs as she picks up her bag and left hurriedly.
NEXT DAY 🌅🌄
“So he asked you out!” Jessica sequelled as Vanessa told them all the juicy details…….as they get ready for school.
She intentionally left out the part about Dylan because she knew Scarlett would make a fuss and she honestly isn’t ready for any girly drama
She hardly forgives but Scarlett was just lucky she has a special place in her heart……they aren’t best of friends but at least they are good enough to have each other’s backs.
” I know right…..we met only somedays ago but the spark and connections between us is something else…… he’s so dreamy” Vanessa goshed as she touched her face with a little makeup.
” Yeah….. he seems cool….. George is a good guy” Scarlett said and Vanessa beams with smiles.
” So do you like him…..as in like….. like him?” Jessica asked curiously as she finished up.
” I don’t know……I mean I don’t wanna jump into conclusions yet……I just wanna take things slow…..” Vanessa said as she faced the girls.
” Yeah you are right but I have never seen George with a girl before” Scarlett suddenly said and Vanessa frowned.
” What do you mean by that?” She asked.
” Well….ever since I started this school….I have never seen George with a girl…. Like he has never been seen having a girlfriend” Scarlett said as she backed her backpack.
” Maybe he’s just the type that doesn’t go after girls…..” Jessica said too as she got ready.
” I don’t care……. he’s hot and I wanna go out with him” Vanessa said defiantly and Jessica giggles as she hugs Vanessa.
” I’m so happy for you gurl…….. plus I also need to get myself a guy…….my two besties are in a relationship and I’m not” Jessica pouted sadly
” You will surely get yourself someone……” Scarlett asked and Vanessa looked at Naomi’s corner.
“I haven’t seen Naomi for a while now…….you guys aren’t even bothered” Vanessa said with a worried look.
” baby gurl…… sometimes it’s just good to avoid people who doesn’t want to have anything to do with you……..I think she’s just a natural witch” Scarlett said and they all laughed.
” Come on we have to go…… Vanessa you are having your first presentation today right?” Scarlett asked and Vanessa nods.
” Oh yeah…… that’s why I studied extra yesterday……. this presentation will determine my first semester grade……. it’s a real big deal” she said
” We should leave if you wanna get to class on time then……..when is your presentation?” Jessica asked.
” About twenty minutes left……” Vanessa said.
” Let’s go then” Scarlett said as they walked out but Vanessa stopped immediately they got outside their room.
” Damnit……I forgot my note……I will catch up with you guys” Vanessa said as she hurriedly went back in.
” Where did I keep that dang note?” She mutters as she continues to find it……she paused and scratches her hair.
” I thought I left it on my table” she said as she suddenly lifts her pillow.
” Here you are!” She said in relief as she tucks it in her backpack and walked to the door pulling the door knob but it wouldn’t budge.
Her facial expression changed as she jerked it for the second time but it won’t open…..
She bangs the door furiously but no one was there.
What the fuck!!!!?
If this is a joke then it’s definitely not funny.
” Scarlett!?……. Jessica!????…… are you guys there!?…… open the dang door!????…… Scarlett!!!?” She yells but got no response and that’s when reality hits her hard.
She’s been locked in!!!!

Chapter 15 & 16 : Party Gone Wrong
Vanessa paced round the room as her heart beats in different rythm….. she’s as confused as hell and she doesn’t know what to do.
Who could have possibly done this to her?
Why today of all days?……. she’s so pissed right now.
She placed her hands on her face as tears threatened to fall off…….she can’t possibly miss her presentation?…..that will ruin her.
She’s tried calling Scarlett and Jessica but none of them were picking…… infact she doesn’t have any signal on her phone.
She walked up to the door and banged on it again….
” Hello!!!…… anyone there?” She yells but got no response……damn!!!!
Walking towards the window as she stared down…… she’s on the sixth floor an idea crept into her mind but she quickly waves it off…………. jumping from here isn’t a good idea…… she’s going to die…. that’s for sure.
She walked back to her bed and checked her phone.
Ten minutes left to her presentation!!!!!!!…….fuck!
Okay…. it’s either now or never.
If she misses this presentation then she would have to get an F and repeat the same project and there is no way she’s going to let that happen
She took in deep breaths as she walks to the window and looked down.
” You can do this…..you can do this… just don’t look down and you will be fine” she chants as she held each edge of the window…. backing her backpack tight as she flips her long hair into a ponytail…..her eyes bulged as she contemplates wether it’s a idea or not.
” You really want to back out now!” Her inner mind taunts as she gathers her guts.
” You can do this” she said again hoping it will give her enough boost.
Slowly and gently she hops on the window and started climbing down…..her heart kept beating uncontrollably as she tries not to look down
Each steps she takes she holds tighter….. balancing her grip on the wall as her legs found each edges.
She got to the forth floor and slipped.
” Fuck!” She shrieks but quickly pulls her hands upward and placed her leg on the window…..she skillfully peeps through and saw some students in the room.
Without thinking twice….she lowers her body and jumps inside….. landing heavily with a loud thud making the students to shout in shock
” What the hell!!!?” One of the students yells as they wondered where and how she managed to get there.
” I’m so sorry” Vanessa said quickly as she dashed out of the room.
She checks her phone and nods.
” Still got some minutes left” she mumbles as she took to her heels……. running down the hallway.
” You can take your seat now Williams” the HR said as Williams left and he scanned through his list.
He furrows his eyebrows.
” Where is the new student?…….. Vanessa Millers?…… doesn’t she knows she has a presentation today and decided to bail?” He said coldly as each students mumbles while looking at each other…… Tonia had a bright smile as she knows very well she had been taken care of by Dylan……he sure knows how to do the pay back game…… this gives her so much joy.
He breaths in as he checked the time.
” She is late and she’s the only one left……. some rich spoilt kids thinks they can do however they please” he said and Tonia raised her hands
” Yes…. Miss Tonia” the HR said and she stood up with smiles.
” You should just give her an F since she already missed the presentation…… besides I don’t think she’s gonna come….. it’s pretty. obvious…..am I right?” She said facing the whole class and they chorused.
“Yes she’s right”.
” There is no way will come”.
” Is she even important anyway?”
Students kept saying their thoughts and the HR held his temples.
” Alright…… alright…..I will mark her out but she will definitely face what’s coming” the HR said and he was about to sign on Vanessa when someone yelled.
“stop!!…. I’m here….I made it” Vanessa said weakly as she held her knees and was panting heavily.
Tonia eyes widened in shock…. that she didn’t realize when her butt left her seat.
No it’s not possible…….she can’t be here…..how?….. when?…..what went wrong?
The HR sighs as Vanessa walked up to him….. although he had a strain look on.
” I’m so sorry sir…….I didn’t mean to but someone locked me up on purpose……I had to jump from the sixth floor just to get here” she said breathing heavily and the HR frowns.
” Who would play such a stunt?…….” He trails as he stroked his chin thoughtfully.
” I didn’t know but I think I have an idea of who it is but I don’t want to say what I’m not sure of” she said and the HR tapped her shoulders
” Can I still present?……I stayed up all night reading for it” she asked pleadingly and the HR nods…….a wave of relief washed through her as she brought out her tablet.
Tonia clenched her fists as she watched Vanessa gave her presentation cheerfully and the fact that the HR was finding it interesting makes her blood boil…… Ruthie held her shoulder and she sat down……her gaze fixed on Vanessa.
” She’s smart” Ruthie said and Tonia averted her gaze from her to Ruthie.
There is no way Vanessa could outsmart them and get away with it.
Just eleven days left and she will make Vanessa eat her words…… that’s a promise.
” You did what? ” Asked with bulging eyes as Dylan told him everything.
” Just a little warning…..I didn’t even do much” Dylan said as he lits up his stick and puffs through…..a giant smirk on his face.
” That’s cruel…… what if she misses her presentation?……you know what that means right?” Craig asked.
” Exactly why I did it……I hate blabber mouths……she needs to be taught a lesson….” Dylan said and Craig ruffles his hair.
” You are going too far with this girl” he said and Dylan smirks.
” I’m just getting started”.
“Calm down Tonia” Ruthie said as she made her way towards the male hostel…..
” And why should I!!!!?”…… She asked angrily and Ruthie pulled her back…. giving her a slap that made her head spin……it took her three seconds to realize that she’s been slapped.
” You need to calm down and put your shit together gurl….. going after Dylan when we already have our own plan is pure stupidity…… just calm down and wait……she will surely pay for this and it’s a promise” Ruthie said and Tonia breaths in and out…..
” She’s just makes me so mad” Tonia mumbles as Ruthie pulled her close.
” We’ve got this….. just relaxe……. I’m sure Dylan will definitely find out that he’s been fooled ” Ruthie said and Tonia nods walking away as Ruthie follow her…… giving the hostel a last look before walking away.
Naomi stood patiently as she placed a light knock on the door…. Waiting for response.
The door creeked open and Nike came out….. looking at her curiously.
” What are you looking for Naomi?” He asked and she smiles….. staring at him with glint in her eyes.
” Is that how you welcome someone?……. can’t I at least go inside?” She asked as she flaps her lashes….. while smiling……. Nike had a confused look on.
” It’s just strange that you are here…..I mean….you hardly talk to Scarlett and now you are here…..” He trails and her facial expression changed
” I guess she must have told you that huh?” She said as she looks down and he quickly shakes his head.
” No…..she didn’t….I just said what I have been observing” he said and her face lit up.
” Then why don’t you just let me in…..so I will also tell you what I’ve been observing” she said and he crock his head…..
He was confused but the look on her face made him slowly made way for her to enter.
She bits her lips as she walked in…… and the door closed behind them.
The girls walked back into the hostel….. Vanessa’s presentation came out wonderfully well and she got an A+…..
” Who could have possibly locked you up?” Jessica asked as she hugged her notes to herself.
” I’m pretty sure it’s Dylan…….I mean it’s obvious right?” Scarlett said and Vanessa rolls her eyes.
” I don’t think it’d Dylan……. it’s probably those witches….. remember what I did to the “queen”…… I’m sure she’s out to get me” Vanessa said as her deep blue eyes hold different emotions……she tries not to think too much about it.
” Oh yeah…….I completely forgot about those girls and you are right…..they might be the one” Scarlett said as she tucks her hair that’s been dancing with the cool breeze.
” You needed to see Tonia’s face when the HR allowed me to give my presentation…….it was hilarious!” Vanessa suddenly said and they bursted out into a huge laughter……. finding it difficult to subsided it as they struggled to catch their breaths.
” Really?……she must have looked like a monster…… I’m pretty sure she almost died while watching” Scarlett said as her laughter died a little
” No kidding!!!!…..her eyes came out so big…….I thought it was gonna burst!” Vanessa said and the laughter multiplied as they held each other for support.
” And her partner?” Jessica asked.
” She was looking like a lost chicken” Vanessa said and they continued laughing.
” Oh my God……. I’m so happy you made it….. whoever pranked you is gonna be the one getting the shocks of their lives” Scarlett said as she did a little dance that resulted to another round of laughter.
” Speaking of shock….. I saw something yesterday” Jessica said and Vanessa faced her.
” What did you see?” She asked.
” I saw Naomi….she was with someone and they were talking….. something about voice edit…..I couldn’t get what they were saying actually because immediately she saw me……she stopped talking and I just had to walk past them” Jessica said and Vanessa sighs.
” I’m sure she’s up to something…..I just don’t like the feeling I get each time I see her……why is she like that?” Vanessa asked thoughtfully.
” I don’t know……..we used to be so close during our early years……we did everything together but one day she just suddenly shut me out…… and I never knew why” Scarlett said and Vanessa gave her a side hug.
” Did you ask her why?” Jessica asked.
” I did…..a lot of times but she was giving me the cold feet so I just let her be…..” Scarlett said and they all sighed.
” I’m pretty sure she’ll come around……” Jessica said and they all smiled.
‘ awww….. I’m so happy to have such supportive friends…..I love you gurls so much” Scarlett goshed.
” Friends forever!!!!!!!!” Vanessa yells and they giggled while hugging each other.
Unknown location 🚫
” Why are you taking so much time?……. we ought to have finished the once and for all…..” A petite female voice blared through as a huge intimidating figure swing on a sterling chair…… swinging from left to right as he smokes through his pipe………the thick smoke forms circle shapes as they disappear into the air.
” You are so impatient……I don’t do my things that way…… The first thing about being smart is to lay low………. make the world forget about your existence and then hit them hard where it hurts” he said and she sighs……. sitting beside him…… letting her hands find it’s way over his shoulder.
” But how much more time do you need….. I’m tired of waiting” she said with a pout and he smirks…… steading his gaze at her as she looks back at him……
He could see the patience running thin in her eyes already……he could see she’s ready to spring into action……he could see the thirst for vengeance looming her eyes and that made his smirk grew wider.
” Patience……..once the time is right…… you will just know it” he said and she giggled as she took the pipe from him……..
It’s almost time but why the rush?…….. when they could just have a little fun.
MORGAN’S MANSION 🌹🌹
Walking into her living room and she was welcome by her assistant……. Gabrielle.
She sat down…… flinging her shoes as she sprawled on the couch.
For the first time in a long time she had a smile on her face……..her phone started ringing and she smiles at the caller id.
” Hey gurl” she goshed as her voice luminated happiness.
” Someone is happy…….tell me what happened” Helen said and Morgan couldn’t help but laugh.
” Finally….my contract got signed and I’m about to receive some huge cash……. things are finally turning up on me” she said and Helen scream could be heard.
” Wow….. I’m so happy for you gurl…… this calls for celebration!!!!…..we have to throw a huge party!”…… Helen said and Morgan nods virgoursly.
” We are definitely throwing a party…..the whole city needs to know about this….. I’m so excited I could burst!” She said and the air was filled with laughter.
” You already know the drill……. I’m going to start prepping for all the necessary arrangements….. just get some rest and stay pretty for me okay?” Helen said and Morgan chuckles.
” You can count on that…… I’ve always wanted a….” Morgan was still saying when Gabrielle walked in with a horrific look on her face……. Morgan saw this and got distracted.
” I will talk to you later Helen….” Morgan said as she faced Gabrielle.
” What?…….why are you staring at me like that?” Morgan asked but Gabrielle was shaking as she stared at her phone……

” That what!!!!!?” Morgan yells and Gabrielle flinched as she gathers her courage.
” I just got a call that the contract has been cancelled…… they are withdrawing from our shareholders…. and they are asking for refund”.
Gabrielle said in one go and Morgan thought she had seen Gabrielle with horns.
” The…..the contract….got… cancelled?” Morgan asked and Gabrielle nods.
It felt as if the world stopped moving for three seconds as Morgan was made to face reality the hard way…
All her hard work……stress….. and money are gone!!!!?
“Arrrrrrragh!!” Morgan yells as she held her chest and fell on her knees…..
” Mam’m!!!!!?” Gabrielle yells……. getting hold of her as Morgan coughed incessantly while covering her mouth…..
” Are you okay?…… what’s wrong?” Gabrielle asked as Morgan opened her palm over her mouth and it was filled with blood.
Gabrielle yells in shock as she stumbles…. letting go of Morgan as she fell to the ground…. everything turning blank.
“Blood!!!!” Was all Gabrielle could say as she dashed out……… grabbing her phone as she tries to make a call…..her feet and hands were shaking as she watched Morgan layed helplessly on the ground.
” What’s she going to do now?”
Chapter 17 & 18 : The Big Plan

HOSPITAL 🏥
That smell…….that cold feeling…..the white room that’s totally void of noises as Morgan layed with different wires connected to her body……..she had an oxygen tube over her nose and her heart beats could be seen moving weakly over the glass…… Bearly 4 hours in the hospital…….her pretty tanned skin had turned white……her lips are patched and she suddenly lossed weight.
Helen and Gabrielle sat down looking at her as tears rolls down her eyes………… what’s happening to her best friend.
” How did this happen?” Helen asked Gabrielle who seems to have traveled into the world of her own…… surrounded with fears.
” It’s strange because after I told her about the news……..she just slipped and started coughing blood…….I didn’t know what to do at that moment…..I was so surprised because I’ve never seen her like this before” Gabrielle said.
” I know she’s been complaining about her health lately but this…….. blood?……it only means one thing” Helen said as she folds her palms together and closed her eyes…… hoping it’s not what she thinks it is.
No….. Morgan is still very young to battle with such illness.
She prayed silently while Gabrielle was numbed to the sit….. looking utterly confused.
The door opened reveling a brunnet female doctor and Helen stood up instantly.
” Doctor what’s wrong with my friend?” Helen asked but the doctor had this sorry look in her eyes and was finding it really difficult to say what the problem is.
” Doc…… been silent won’t answer my question you know?” Helen asked getting impatient by the minute as her eyes darts on the doctor.
” She…..she has stage 4 Cancer” the doctor mumbles and Helen thought she had lost her hearing because she doesn’t seem to understand what the doctor is saying.
” Doc…… what are you talking about?…….what do you mean by she has stage 4 Cancer?…… what?” Helen said in a hush too…… unable to yell as the doctor sighs while walking up to Morgan.
” Well….. from our tests and findings we discovered she has been suffering from this illness for close to five years……I mean cancer has spread out of it’s orginal destination…..and has completely taken over her body……. she’s been on good medication though but lately she’s been stressed and that’s what jolted her into the stage 4 Cancer (metastatic)” the doctor explained and Helen grabbed her face with both hands.
So Morgan had been suffering from a terrible illness and she didn’t bother to let her know about it?……..she thought they were friends?…….but looking at how paled and sick she is…… Helen couldn’t afford to stay mad at her .
All this while Gabriella’s mouth was wise open.
” Doctor…..is she going to…d..die?” Gabrielle asked and Helen nods to the question as the doctor checked on Morgan……he stopped and faced them for a split second before returning her attention back to Morgan.
” That entirely depends on her……you see at stage four…. treatment options depends on the type and location of the cancer…..the person’s overall health and the Cancer’s response to overall treatment…..” The doctor said but Helen and Gabrielle doesn’t seem to understand her as they kept looking at her confused.
The doctor sighs.
” What I’m trying to say is……we are going to try our best and put her under chemotherapy and targeted therapy……. While we up she’s able to bounce back because she’s going through some major emotional truma and that could lead to her death…….she needs to let some certain things off her chest” the doctor said as she walked out and Gabrielle flops on the couch tiredly.
” Mrs Morgan worries alot……. I watch her cry herself to sleep and wake up looking drained and void of life……. Her past must really be tormenting” Gabrielle said tearily as she looks at Morgan who’s chest was heaving sightly as she slept.
” It’s time she comes clean…… I can’t afford to lose my best friend……call her kids……tell them their Mom is in the hospital…… They need to be hear right away” Helen said defiantly as Gabrielle nods…….. Bringing out her phone.
Helen clenched her fists together as she stared into space.
All these are happening to her friend because she knows only one no good doer could be responsible for this.
” Grande?……. haven’t you done enough?” Helen said as a tear rolled down her left eye.

Vanessa was looking all pretty as she twrills round in front of the mirror…… checking herself out while occasionally blowing a kiss at her reflection.
She was putting on a blue jean….. matched with a pair of high heels booth…..a black crop top that clearly says ” your greatest distraction” and her hair was styled in a messy bun…. making her look like a rich model as her flat tommy compliments their shape in the outfit.
She had her make up done lightly and her phone binged.
It was a text from George.
” Outside…….” It reads and she giggled loudly….. picking up her purse as she made to leave when her phone started ringing for real.
” He’s so impatient” she slurps as she picks her phone but saw an unknown number……she groans.
” Hello????” Her voice bacame high pitched due to the frustration………her date was waiting outside…..her hot nerd.
” Hello is this Vanessa Millers” Gabrielle voice rang through and Vanessa rolls her eyes mentally.
” Yes……. what do you want?….why are you calling me and who the fuck are you?…..” Vanessa said at a go and Gabrielle frown over the other end.
” Your mom is sick and she’s in the hospital” she said expecting a gasp or some sort of worried expression from Vanessa but no of that happened.
” And so?…….what I’m I suppose to do?……walk up to the mountain Everest and hang myself because Morgan is sick?……if you are there with her then why are you bothering me?” Vanessa asked rudely and Gabrielle couldn’t believe her ears….. what was she hearing.
” Mam’m your mother is in a critical condition and she needs……….” Gabrielle was still saying when Vanessa interupts.
” You know…..once upon a time….. when I was five years old…….I was sick and admitted in a hospital and the doctor called Morgan to come check up on me because I refuse to drink my drugs and did you know what she said” Vanessa asked.
” Ummm no?” Gabrielle said.
” Good……she said….’ why don’t you just shove the drugs down her throat….. I’m too busy to get disturbed by some little girl” Vanessa said and Gabrielle’s jaw dropped….she couldn’t say anything.
” Now I want you to tell whoever is in charge to shove whatever treatment it is down her fucking throat because I’m way…..way too busy to get disturbed by some stupid woman” Vanessa said and before Gabrielle could say anything….she ended the call.
She shuts are eyes closed as she tried to regulate her breathing…….she was so angry and she felt her bursting out of anger.
.” Who were you talking to?” Jessica asked as she stepped out of the bathroom and Vanessa faced her.
” No one important….” She said with the wave of her hand and Jessica smiles mischievously.
” Oh my goodness……. look at you!” Jessica goshed as she walks towards and started checking her out.
” What do you expect?……..if you will excuse me…..I have a date to make fall in love with me” Vanessa said and they started laughing……she walks out and Jessica walked to her corner and started getting ready to go to the Library.
She was done and was heading out when Scarlett walked in with a sober face….. Jessica noticed it immediately.
” What’s up gurl?…..” Jessica asked and Scarlett looks at her sadly.
” Nike is avoiding me……he hasn’t been picking my calls and each time I go to his room he’s never around……” Scarlett said as she bursted in tears and Jessica hugs her immediately………patting her back to sooth her.
” Maybe he’s just busy……come on don’t cry” Jessica said and Scarlett sniffles.
” You don’t get it…..no matter how busy he gets he always calls to check up on me…..but he hasn’t called and he’s not picking up my calls….. he’s not replying my texts…. I’m so worried….I didn’t do anything wrong…. what’s going on?” Scarlett said and another round of tears ensured and Jessica continues to console her.
” He’s definitely going to come around okay….. just relaxe” Jessica said and Scarlett nods .
” I hope so”.
RESTAURANT 🎯
George watched as Vanessa slowly ate from the food in front of her….fouscing all his attention to the pretty face that he’s been privileged to go out with.
Vanessa looked up and raised her eyebrows and he flashed her a cute smile and she smiles as well.
” Aren’t you going to eat?” She asked and he rest his on his right hand.
” I don’t mind staring at you at all….. watching you eat is more than a belly full for me” he said and her cheeks got heated instantly……she quickly takes her glass of water….. gulping it just for him not to see the redness of her face.
” You should eat…… besides it’s not fair to watch you pay the meal and you end up not eating because of me” she said cutely and he takes his spoon….. digging into the food.
” So……I have been wondering…..I mean it’s only normal for me to know everything about my future significant other” he said and she almost choked.
Significant other?…… when did they get to that stage so quickly?……I mean it’s exciting but it makes her feel some type of way.
Oh come on Vanessa….. this is what you’ve always wanted…..stop fighting the emotions and Just roll with it already.
“What do you want to know about me?” She asked as she drops her spoon and faced him……he did the same too.
” Everything?……..I don’t mean to sound creppy” he said and she chuckles.
” Oh well…… obviously I’m the first daughter….I have a twin…. although we don’t look alike but we were born on the same day and exactly the same time but I’m 30 seconds older but it doesn’t count……I also have twin younger brother and sister…….I used to have a pet…. NIMO…..but she died…..sad but funny story…..ummm…..my favorite color is red….. favorite food….I don’t have one and I love music and movies……I love parties and that’s it…..” She said and he kept looking at her as she was talking.
” That’s so cool….. And your parents?” He asked stylishly.
” My dad is a big business tycoon…..he has alot going on” Vanessa said mindlessly as she continues to eat.
” What about your mom?” George asked and Vanessa rolls her eyes….. although he didn’t see it because she was facing her food.
She looks up at him and he noticed she wasn’t smiling.
” Did I say something wrong?” George asked nervously and Vanessa faked a smile.
” It’s okay……. she’s an entrepreneur and has a lot going on too” Vanessa struggled to let the words out of her mouth.
” And what about you?……” .
” Oh my life is kinda boring but I’m only child and my parents are dead” he said and Vanessa gasped…. covering her mouth in shock
” I’m so sorry…I shouldn’t have asked” she said and he smiles.
” Nah it’s nothing……i mean it’s been years since it happened ” he said and she smiles weakly.
” As I was saying….. My favorite food is pasta…..I hate noise and I’m allergic to bush diasies…….I also love music….my favorite color is black…..and that’s it….. pretty boring right?” He said and she chuckles.
” No it’s not” she said.
” Just say it…..I don’t mind” he pushed further.
” I’m serious….. nothing about you is boring” she said and he smiles.
” I’m so glad I get to spend time with you…” He said and she blushed….not hiding it this time around.
” Me too….” She said.
” The school custume party is around the corner……. mind if you go with me…..I would love to have you as my partner for the party” he said and she giggled.
” Yes!” She semi yells but quickly comports herself.
“…umm I mean yes….yes that’s would be cool” she said trying to hold her excitement.
” What are you going to be on that day?….. I’m thinking of dressing as a life gaurd…..or the joker clown” he said and she laughed.
” You will just have to wait” .
She said and they started laughing.
Dylan frowns as he and Tonia watched them from a distance.
” I told you right?……we need to act fast” Tonia said as her grip on Dylan’s shoulder tightens.
He smirks….. pulling Tonia away as they walked out of the restaurant.

Scarlett was fed up of waiting….. she’s been standing in front of Nike’s room for an hour and he doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon
She sighs as she started leaving but as soon as she turned to the other side of the hallway…..she spotted him coming.
She didn’t know when she ran into his arm…. hugging him so tight as if he was going to run away……she noticed he wasn’t hugging her back and her grip on him lossened.
” Babe?…… what’s going on?…… you’re avoiding me” Scarlett said and the look of Nike’s face spells hurt and anger.
” Isn’t it obvious……I don’t want to see you” he said and her heart broke into pieces.
” Why?….. what did I do?” She asked and he scoffs.
” You are asking me?…….. Scarlett I did everything within my power to make sure you are happy but you had your plans……you know what….. just forget about us….. cause I’m done” Nike said and Scarlett almost fainted.
” No…… you can’t just break up with me Nike….. what did I do?” She said as tears started spilling from her eyes…..she held onto him but he shoved her away.
” You know what you did!….. don’t fucking act innocent…… I’m glad I found out just how venomous you are……and to think I was going to spend the rest of my life with a slut!” Nike spat and she slapped him hard across the face…..while she held her chest tighly as he touches his burning cheek……it felt as if her world as been torn.
” I don’t know what you are talking about!…… you are calling me a slut!….how dare you!?” She yells as all her body vibrated.
” I’m done…..we are over!…..go fuck yourself and stay away from my life!” Nike said…. walking away and Scarlett fell on her knees.
” Nike wait….. please” she cried out but he was already gone…..

Vanessa walked towards her room as she noticed all the girls in the hostel hallway were busy watching their phone and murmuring….. some pointed fingers at her and said ” that’s her roommate”.
Vanessa frowned as she enters the room and meet Jessica on her phone……the look on Jessica’s face immediately made Vanessa uncomfortable.
” What’s going on?……on my way here everyone kept pointing at me” she said while tossing her purse on Jessica’s bed.
” Hurry…… check the student’s blog….” Jessica said and Vanessa brings out her phone….. logging in and the first the she saw broke her down
It was a short video of Scarlett and a guy….. making out!!!!????
” What the fuck!!!” Vanessa yells in horror.
” I know right but Scarlett would never do such a thing……I wonder who’s behind this” Jessica said and the door opened…..it was Scarlett…. her eyes were red and puffy due to the crying.
” Everyone keeps staring and whispering as I was coming…… I’m too distracted to even care” she said and Vanessa hands her phone to her
Scarlett frowned as she collects the phone and her jaw dropped instantly.

” That’s….. that’s not me” she mutters as she flops on the ground and Vanessa hurried towards her.
” I didn’t do it…..I was framed….. I’m not the one in the video” Scarlett cries and both girls tried to console her but she wasn’t ready for it.
She suddenly stands up…… dashing out of the room.
