CHAPTER 53 & 54 : The Price of Love

The Ambulance sirens sounded around the vicinity as they surrounded the place. Everywhere was filled with smokes as the firefighters put out the fire.
Some bodies were placed on a stretcher as it was led to the ambulance, it obvious that the explosion spreaded and affected those around.
Some pedestrian were busy filming the scene while some were staring in shock.

Restrictions were placed on the roadside as ongoing car turned around on seeing it.
NEXT DAY~AVA’S PLACE*
Kyle and Kayla were in the Living room dressed in their uniforms already as they waited for Ava…
“Let switched on the TV!” Kyle suggested and went for the remote.
Kayla dragged him back “No Kyle, mum said we shouldn’t turn on the TV till we are back from school” Kayla protested.
“It just once Kayla, my favorite movie is ongoing” Kyle mumbled.
“You’ll watch it when we are back” Kayla said and he rolled his eyes.
Stubbornly, he went for the remote and switched on the TV.
“Don’t put me into your trouble Kyle, turn it off now!” Kayla demanded.
“You shouldn’t me commanding me Kayla, I’m 5 minutes older than you” He said and she grinned walking to him.
She tried to take the remote from him but he was too smart to notice as he hid it away from her…..
Suddenly, a news popped into the screen and Kyle took his attention to it.
“Kayla see, it an Accident of Last night” Kyle called pointing at the TV.
“How is it my business, give the remote to me!” She demanded but he shook his head.
He stick his tongues at her and she frowned, she walked to him and dragged the remote from him, Kyle also held it back as they started dragging it.
“Let it go, Kyle!”
“No, you let it go” he snapped…
Unknowingly, they pressed the speaker botton and the volume from the TV increased to the highest.
Their eyes widened as they both released the remote at the same time.
“What have you done!!” They chorused…
Instantly, they shirked as they heard a sound from upstairs.
“Kyle, Kayla…….What is that sound, Did you switch on the TV?” Ava’s voice came and they shook in fear.
They glanced at each other and quickly, they ran into hiding as their heart raced in fear of what punishment Ava would give them….
Ava walked down the stairs to see the TV on and in the loudest volume, she went to turn it off and roamed her eyes around.
“Kyle, Kayla come out wherever you are!” Ava demanded but no of them responded nor move.
Ava let out a deep breath “Ok fine, I won’t scold you. I’ll get you your favorite ice cream flavour!” Ava sweet mouthed and soon.
Kyle jumped out from the table below while Kayla came out from the curtain excitedly to see Ava with a small whip and their face fell.
She rolled it with her hands as the twins lip formed into a pout…..
“Mum, it not me, it Kyle…..” Kayla defended and Kyle gave her a scowl.
“Kyle, why did you switch it on.?” She asked and he pouted.
“I just want to watch my favorite movie!” He replied and she lifted her brows.
“How many times did I say you two Shouldn’t switch on the TV till you get back from school” Ava asked and Kyle looked down.
“I’m sorry mum!, I was just curious…” Kyle apologized…
Suddenly, a horn blared from outside and the kids eyes gleamed.
“Daddy!” They exclaimed and rushed outside without Ava telling them to do so.
Ava wanted to stop them but they already ran outside, she saved her scream and took her bag too walking out.
Shane stepped out of his car as the kids ran to him.
He bent and widened his arm as the twins went to his arms….
“Morning Dad!” They exclaimed and broke the hug.
“Morning my champ and sweetie” Shane smiled and kissed their forehead making them giggle.
Ava got to them and he stood up moving closer to her, He pulled her into a hug and the twins watched them.
They glanced at each other at once. “Should we hug!” Kyle asked and the twins hugged each other.
They saw Shane pecked Ava’s lips as she knocked his forehead and they faced each other again.
They stared at each other’s lips and their face turned into a scowl.
“Ewwwww” They chorused as Ava and Shane chuckled, they have been watching them too.
“What are you kids doing!?” Ava asked.
“We are copying you two but we can’t do what you guys did last!” Kyle replied rolling his eyes.
“Yeah, and I don’t think he has brushed his teeth this morning” Kayla rolled her eyes too.
“Hey!!!! Stop lying!” Kyle flared up pointing a finger at Kayla and she stuck out her tongue.
“Do you brush your teeth, when I asked you to Kyle” Ava asked and he nodded.
“I did, Kayla is just lying….” He replied glaring at Kayla who was laughing silently at him.
“Let just go kids, don’t add to my headache today” Ava muttered as they all entered Shane’s car.
“Mum, you promised us our favorite ice cream!!” Kyle started and Ava frowned.
“When!?”
“Earlier when I……..” He stopped abruptly.
“When you what!?” Shane asked as he drove.
“Nothing dad!” He replied.
“Tell me and I’ll get you your ice cream!” He urged and his eyes gleamed.
“When I switched on the TV even when mom told me not to!” He said and he chuckled.
“You’re getting some whips when you’re back from school, remember that!” Ava chirped in and his lips formed into a pout.
“Dad, I wanna stay at your place?” Kyle requested.
“I don’t want mum to whip me, so be fast to pick us up before she does” he added and Shane faced Ava who was sitting near him in the front seat.
“Wait! are you really going to whip him because of that!” He asked and she scoffed.
“I was just joking but seriously, I feel like using a whip on someone” she smirked.
“Dad, please let stay with you” Kayla and Kyle begged and he nodded.
“You are already staying with me because you’re not going back to your former place anymore!” He replied and they giggled in excitement.
“Yayyyyy”.
<>Isabella walked into a building, the same woman was beside her as they went to the door.
The woman knocked on the door thrice as a voice came from inside.
“Who’s there” A voice came.
“It Susan!” The woman replied soon, the door opened and a lady face came to view.
“Susan, why are…….” She stopped abruptly as her eyes met with Isabella and she frowned.
“Who is she?” She asked.
“Can you please let us in, I wanna talk to you about something” Susan muttered and The lady opened the door wide as they entered.
Soon, they settled in the sitting room as Susan explained it all to the lady.
She shivered within but composed herself.
“There was no exchange that day!” The lady said, as she felt uncomfortable.
“But why does the DNA says otherwise!?” Isabella asked.
“That’s not possible!”
“I have more than enough evidence that point at you, I can just send you to jail in an instant if you don’t speak now!” Isabella threatened and the lady shook.
“Mira just say it, you know you can’t keep it forever!” Susan urged and Mira blinked.
She clamps her lips together for a moment. “It me….I did it” she blurted.
“You gave birth that same day but the baby died immediately, though Susan doesn’t know about it. Whereas, a woman also gave birth that day but she died unfortunately, she doesn’t have any family members because she came herself so I decided to give the baby to you since I know you’re desperate for it!” She explained.
Isabella’s eyes turned into a scowl, the fact that she was taken as a fool made her angry.
She stood up immediately in rage…. “what!!!”
“You were the one who exchanged them!” She growled.
“Please I’m really sorry, don’t send me to jail……I just did it with a heart of pity” Mira apologized going on her knees
“Don’t tell me that……you made my plan fail and make me look like a fool and pretender in front of them!” Isabella yelled.
“Please let it slide…..” She begged gumming her two palms together.

Ava walked into the Company hand in hand with Shane. All eyes fell on them as they walked past the staffs.
👥 I think is true, he’s holding her.
👥 No she’s the one holding him.
Hearing that statement, Shane removed his hands and held her instead and they gasped.
👥 Gawd, I can’t believe this!
👥 I wish I’m the one he’s holding right now.
“Uhm, such a slut!!!” A staff muttered loudly and everyone gasped. She just called the boss woman a slut.
Shane stopped and faced the lady who muttered that statement.
“What did you just say!?” He asked, rage in his voice and she shivered.
“Nothing!!…..no..I’m sorry Sir. I didn’t mean it” she begged.
“You didn’t what!” Ava chirped in, it obvious she was angry at the statement.
“Honey, what punishment should I give her!?” Shane asked and the lady trembled in fear.
Ava looked at her from head to toe before flipping her hair backwards.
“Fire her!?” She replied and the lady gasped.
“You hear that” Shane chuckled and the lady went on her knees facing Ava. Feisty
“Please forgive me, I didn’t mean it” she begged and tears flowed from her eyes.
Ava didn’t bulge as she turned away.
“Security!” Shane called and they came quickly.
“Bundle her out!” He ordered and they carried the lady taking her out, she tried to move away from their grip but they didn’t let her.
Shane faced the other staffs and raised Ava’s hands up. She gave him the ‘what you doing’ sign but he just winked.
“You all, this is my Wife and she’s also your boss after me. So anyone who disrespect or disregard her would get bundle out just like what happened now” He announced and they nodded in approval.
Ava blinked twice in surprise.
Shane took Ava’s hand again as their eyes met. They smiled at each other and walked to the elevator.
Soon they got to his office.
“When did I become your wife!?” She asked.
“Last night!” He replied and she furrowed her brows.
“Seriously, we are not even married!” She said and he moved closer to her.
“We will soon, Mia” he muttered and brought out a box.
“What is this?” She asked but he didn’t respond.
He brought out a necklace, the one he had given her the other day.
“You still kept it!” She exclaimed.
“Do you think I’ll trash it away” He lifted his brows “you’re silly!”
He brushed her hair backwards and put the necklace on her neck.
“Here!” He muttered and she touched it, smiling.
“But wait, how did you become this feisty. I thought you were innocent” He asked and she scoffed.
“I said it earlier that I wanted to use a whip on someone” she replied and he nodded.
“I didn’t use it on her so they won’t tag me a woman beater, that punishment is more berra ” she added.
“Are you kidding me!, You were gonna hit her!?”
“My hands itch, should I use it on you instead!” She muttered and he rolled his eyeballs.
“Yes you can!” He replied.
“Like seriously!” She said and hit him playfully.
She nudged him and he nudged her back. She nudged him again and he did so.
She did it again but but he dodged she fell in his arms and she blinked. Before she could say a word, he smashed his lips on hers not giving her space to breath.
She reciprocated as he deepened the kiss gaining access to her mouth, he cupped her face as Ava hands found it way to his hair.
“uhmmmm” She moaned loudly.
He broke the kiss as his lips trailed to her neck giving her excessive love bite.
“Ahh!!……Cyrus!” She stammered as she grabbed his hair.
She giggled playfully as he carried her up placing her legs on his waist. He dropped her on his table and moved away from her neck.
Instantly his phone rang and he cursed the person inwardly. He ignored it and faced Ava again but she pocked his forehead.
“Pick it up!” She muttered and he groaned inwardly, he stayed in her middle and picked up the phone.
“Hello, Mr. Dawson” A voice came from the other end.
“Yes!”
“I just want to remind you about your photoshoot tomorrow!”
“Wait, is that the reason you called me!?” He asked.
“Yes sir!”
“Shit!” He fumed and ended the call…
“Who’s that!” Ava’s asked.
“It my manager, I’m having a shoot tomorrow!” He replied.
“With who!” She asked, raising her brows.
“Wait, are you jealous!”
“No I’m not but why are you still acting…….I don’t like them touching you!” She frowned.
“Like seriously!” He chuckled.
“Who are you having a shoot with?” She asked.
“Don’t know yet!” He replied and she scoffed picking on her fingers, as she placed a frown on her face…
“Smile Mia!” He urged but she kept the poker face.
“Don’t bribe me!”
“C’mon smile” he tickled her and she chuckled inwardly but she kept her composture.
He tickled her more harder and she can’t take it anymore as she bursted into laughter.
5PM~SHANE’S PENTHOUSE*
Shane and Ava was in the living room with Kyle and Kayla as they played video games.
Only Shane and Ava were participating. Kyle supported Shane while Kayla supported Ava…..
“Dad, go..go..go” Kyle cheered as Shane was Ahead of Ava.
“Mum, go faster…..” Kayla cheered as Ava let out a smirk as she turned to Shane.
“Little champ! Do you wanna take over?” Shane asked, his eyes still on the game.
“No not yet, go faster than mum…..” He replied.
They had actually bet on the fact that the loser washes the dishes throughout the day and takes the family out.
“Mum be fast!, I don’t want Kyle to mock me” Kayla urged.
Suddenly, Ava moved closer to Shane and pecked him on the lips and he stopped for a moment.
His mind reminisced on the kiss as he was lost. Kyle tapped him but he didn’t bulge as Ava took over the first place.
“Yes mum….go go go” Kayla cheered smiling.
Kyle tapped Shane and he jolted back to life as he continued.
“Dad why did you zone out just because of a peck” he groaned.
Instantly, Ava and Kayla jumped excitedly.
“We won, we won, we won” They screamed and Kyle hit Shane angrily going to seat somewhere else frustratingly, he folded his arms glaring at Kayla.
Shane walked to him and held his shoulders.
“Little champ, don’t fell too bad about this. I’ll make it up to you!” He urged but he turned his gaze away.
“bribe me!” He mumbled.
“Fine, I’ll get you a Tablet!” Shane blurted and his eyes gleamed.
“Really!” He asked excitedly and shane nodded ruffling his hair.
“We won you guys…..” Kayla screamed sticking her tongue to Kyle but he scoffed.
“Mia why did you do that to distract me!” He asked and she rolled her eyes funningly.
“I can’t let you win over me!” She replied confidently crossing her legs.
Suddenly, the doorbell rung and they faced the door.
“I’ll get it!” Shane muttered and stood up. He walked to the door and opened it only to see Isabella standing there.
“What are you doing here?!” He asked, his face turning into a frown.
“Can’t I come see you!, I’m just coming back from Los Angeles” She replied.
“After the nonsense stunt you pulled, I can’t regard you as a childhood friend, leave!” He said and she gasped.
“Shane it me!” She said as she tried to touch him but he didn’t let her.
“Babe, who’s there” Ava asked as she came to the door.
Isabella frowned on seeing her.
“Have you two gotten back together!” She asked gasping.
“What do you expect, huh. aren’t you supposed to stay away from my man” Ava grinned and Isabella glared hard at her.
“He’s not your man!” Isabella protested.
“Just wait here, Let me get something” Ava added and left.
“Isabella leave, you won’t like what will happen to you right now!” Shane urged but she didn’t move an inch.
“What does she wanna do!?” She scoffed shrugging.
Instantly, Ava came back with an Oraimo Cord, a smirk on her face.
“I said it earlier that I wanna whip someone! Right?” Ava muttered and Shane nodded.
“Yeah!” He replied as he thought.
“Wait you wanna use it on her!?” He asked as he realized.
“You dare not!” Isabella grinned fearfully.
“We’ll cheer for you mum!” Kyle and Kayla grinned from inside, it obvious they eavesdropped on the conversation.
“Why can’t I” Ava grinned, placing a smirk on her face as her eyes went to the gate.
“I told you” Shane mumbled.
“Security, Lock that gate” He screamed as Ava rushed to Isabella lashing her with the chord instantly.

CHAPTER 55 & 56 : Finding Hope in Darkness

SMITH’S RESIDENCE*
Isabella got to her room limping furiously, some part of her cloth were torn as she went to her dressing mirror.
Ok seeing her reflection, she screamed loudly.
“Ahhhhhhhhhh”.
Her body was filled with red spot especially her legs, Ava made sure she couldn’t walk properly again.
Her face was also filled with bruises as she fell on the ground dejectedly, she used her hands to wrap herself as she cried repeatedly.
“She’ll pay, I swear it!”
She stood up and went to the mirror again throwing away all the cosmetics on the table angrily.
She gritted her teeth as she faced the mirror. She took it and smash it across the wall as it shattered into pieces.
“I swear it! You’ll pay for hitting me Ava Knight!!!” She grunted.
Suddenly her mind went to a particular event and she scoffed.
FLASHBACK*
“Please let it slide!” Mira begged but Isabella slapped her soundly and she swallowed hard holding her cheeks.
Her phone dinged as a message came into her phone, she took it and check.
“I will surely get back to you, i need to take care of something!” Isabella grinned turning to go out.
“Wait Miss!” Mira stopped her and she turned back.
“I haven’t said this but……”
“But what!” Isabella yelled.
“But the woman didn’t actually die, she is still alive but she believes her baby is dead!”
PRESENT*
Isabella hissed as she remembered Amaya.
“She should go to hell for all i care!”
She Mistakenly touched her bruises and a pang of pain hit her mercilessly.
“Arghhhh” she groaned.
NEXT DAY~MALL*
Since Shane lost in the game, though it was partial, Ava made him wash the dishes and take them out so here they are in front of the mall.
“Woah, Let go in already!” Kayla gushed.
“I can’t wait anymore”.
They all got out as their eyes landed on the huge building.
“Is this a mall or a house?” Kyle asked impressively.
“Stop being Predictable champ, it a mall” Shane replied and he gasped.
“Wow, it huge……” Kayla said.
“Why do you have to bring us here! It will cost much” Ava complained.
“As far as it my family, then it cost me nothing. Besides you know the cost of the bag you’re holding right now!” Shane teased.
“But wait a minute, why did you bid this bag for 15 million dollars. Isn’t that too expensive!?” She asked as she scanned the golden handbag. Shane made her took it.
“are you just realizing it now!” He chuckled.
She nudged him playfully “hey!”.
Shane eyes roamed around but he couldn’t find the kids….
“What!! Where are…..”
“Right here Dad!!” Kyle and Kayla waved from inside the mall.
“Seriously!” Ava lifted her brows as she watched them go farther into the mall.
Shane dropped his shoulders, his mind was reeling with different thought of what might have happened to them.
“Let go Mia!” He took her hand and she blinked twice.
“Why do you like holding my hands?” She asked as they walked in.
“To make people know you’re mine!” He replied and she rolled her eyes playfully.
“Is that jealously I’m sensing!” She asked lifting her brows.
“Yes it is!” He snapped and brought his hand to her waist walking towards the receptionist.
The receptionist eyes widened on seeing Shane as she adjusted her dress.
“Hello, welcome Mr. Dawson” she said giving him her best smile.
“I want to shop with my families!” He replied, letting out a sly smile and the receptionist furrowed her brows.
Her eyes landed on Ava and she gave her a side glare, she soon faced Shane with a smile on her face.
“Should I help you shop!” She asked, winking as she threw her hair backwards.
“No thanks!” He smiled and Ava scoffed jealously.
She rolled her eyes and left Shane to pick a cart going further to meet Kyle and Kayla who were already picking dresses for themselves.
Before she could reach them, something caught her eyes as it behold a beautiful light blue dress.
She stared at it beauty as she tried to reach it but her hand couldn’t reach it.
“Gawd, I’m I this short” she mumbled inwardly as she placed both her hands on her waist. She tried again but she couldn’t as she groaned.
Instantly she felt a presence in her back as a hand picked up the dress from up.
She noticed it wasn’t Shane as she wondered who it was….
She turned back to see a complete different guy, a handsome one at that. She clamps her lips together as he handed her the dress.
“Thanks!” She said letting out a sly smile.
“You’re welcome, I was watching earlier and I saw you needed help so I decided to help you” he replied with a smile.
“Thanks again!”
“I’m Raymond!” He winked.
“Ava!”
“Wow, such a beautiful name for a pretty lady!” He smiled widely.
Just then, Shane sighted them together and his jealously build up immediately, he walked towards them.
“Do you have a boyfriend!” Raymond asked…
“uhmmmm….”
“Yes she has!” Shane chirped in as he got there.
Raymond furrowed his brows as he stared at Shane suspiciously.
“Mr. Dawson!” He exclaimed and faced Ava.
“You know me right!?” Shane asked and Raymond nodded.
“Yeah, who wouldn’t!”
“Ok then, stay away from her!” Shane warned and his eyes widened.
“Is he your……”
“Yes I am so fuck off! and stay clear” Shane glared hard as Raymond turned around walking away.
Ava rolled her eyes funningly as she placed the dress in the cart.
“Are you seriously going to tell him you don’t have a boyfriend!” Shane asked and she rolled her eyes again.
“Don’t disturb my peace please!” She replied.
“Mia!” He called.
“What!?” She asked.
“Like seriously! You’re getting pissed now” He lifted his brows and she gave him a short glare.
“Go and meet her, smile pretty well. I’m sure she’s a good choice” She mouthed and he chuckled.
“Wait! are you jealous!” He asked still chuckling and she rolled her eyes again.
“I’m not!” She snapped.
“It shows that you are, Mia” He said placing his hands on her waist but she slapped it away, as she placed a frown on her face.
“Okay fine, I’m sorry…..” He hugged her back and she narrowed her eyes holding her cart.
He tightened the hug as she felt suffocated.
“Cy….rus. you’re…. suffocating me” she stammered.
He broke the hug and took her cart.
Instantly, Kyle and Kayla rushed to them with theirs. Ava gasped on seeing their filled up cart.
“Oh my Gawd, Kids. Isn’t that too much!?” Ava asked.
“Dad asked us to pick whatever we want and as much as we can!” Kayla replied and Ava faced Shane.
“huh!!!” Ava exclaimed and faced Shane.
He shrugged.
“Pick anything!” He muttered.
“Isn’t it too much” she nudged him.
“Should I help you with yours!” He asked changing the topic but she didn’t reply.
He took her cart and started filling it himself while Ava watched him speechless.
She shrugged.
“Even if he is a billionaire, does he have to spend this much!” She thought.
Soon, they got back to the receptionist and she packed everything.
Shane took everything and gave some to Ava as they went out.
“Cyrus, you haven’t done any form of transaction yet!” Ava said as they got out.
Shane faced her wiggling his brows.
“Didn’t you see the signboard before you got in!?” He asked and she furrowed her brows thinking for a moment.
“Wait! The mall is his!!” She said inwardly as it dawned on her at once.
“You own this mall!” She asked widening her eyes.
“I thought you had seen it!”
Ava looked to see it boldly written “DAWSON’S BEAUTY”.
She blinked.
Why didn’t she check earlier.
She shrugged and they got back into the car……
SMITH’S RESIDENCE*
Isabella was in her room all day, she didn’t go out because of her face.
She soon dialed a number and it went Alive immediately.
“Hello Miss!” A voice came…
“I have a job for you!” Isabella muttered with a smirk playing on her lips.
“We’re always ready miss!”
“Ok, I’ll send more info to you… I want it done today!” Isabella grinned.
“Trust me Miss!”
With that, Isabella ended the call as the smirk on her face grew.
“You’ll pay for ruining my face Ava!” She grunted.
EVENING~CINEMA*
Ava, Shane and the twins were in the cinema watching a movie.
The twins had doze off even before half of the movie, it obvious that there were tired from their outing.
Soon, they woke up only to see the movie ending.
“What! It has ended!” Kayla exclaimed.
“I’ve missed so much scenes!” Kyle mumbled.
“You were already asleep then!” Ava said.
“You should have woken us up before it ended,now I missed the last scene” Kyle frowned folding his arms.
“Champ, don’t worry. We can come some other time!” Shane urged but he didn’t bulge.
Soon, they left the cinema as they walked towards the car parked outside.
Everywhere was getting dark and scanty already.
Suddenly, Ava felt like someone is following them as she narrowed her eyes suspiciously.
She stopped and turned back but saw no one.
She can’t say it Shane, cause he is right beside her.
“Mia, what wrong!” Shane asked when he noticed her expression.
“Nothing, let go!” She flashed him a smile as they continues walking.
Soon she heard some footsteps and she stopped again concluding her suspicious.
Someone is definitely following them.
“I think someone is behind us Cyrus!” Ava muttered but before they could turn back to check, a dart flew into their neck and they fell on the floor unconsciously.
Kyle and Kayla gasped and bent to them.
“Dad, Mum!!!” They exclaimed.
Instantly, two men dressed in black came forward and took Kyle and Kayla, they wanted to scream when they held their mouth preventing them from screaming.
Kyle and Kayla were already shedding tears as they watch Ava and Shane lay motionless on the ground.
The men took them into their van and drove off leaving the couple behind unconsciously.
CHAPTER 57 & 58 : Ava’s Final Stand

Minutes passed by after the Van drove off with the twins.
Shane and Ava came back into consciousness and sat up. Thief eyes widened as they looked around but there was no sign of the kids.
Ava hastily stood up and checked around in fear.
“Cyrus!!” She called panicking.
“huh!, How did we get to the floor….what!…” He rubbed his neck whee the dart had entered earlier.
“Where are my kids!” Ava asked, her heart racing with fear.
“They were right here earlier!” Shane furrowed his brows as he turned around but he couldn’t sight anyone around.
“What the……” He clenched his fist when he realized that someone must have used the dart to take the kids away
“Shane!!!!!!” Ava screamed as tears started flowing from her eyes.
“Don’t tell me they have been kidnapped!!” She muttered her heart beating rapidly.

Alicia went to sit beside Amaya who has been down. She raised her head ony to see her crying again.
“Maya!” She called cleaning her tears.
“I’ve told you to stop crying already!” Alicia added as Amaya sniffed.
She pulled her into her arms hugging her comfortably.
“I don’t……have…a….family, Mum….is not….my real……Mother!” She stammered.
“You don’t have to cry over it, Maya!” Alicia patted her feeling pity already.
“It looks like I’m an orphan” Maya said and Alicia exhaled.
“Don’t worry, I’ll help you find your mother…okay!” Alicia urged and Amaya nodded.
UNKNOWN LOCATION*
The place was really dark even darker than darkness itself, but just a light was situated at a corner revealing two victims.
Kyle and Kayla!!!!!
They were unconscious as they were tied to a pole, a tape on their lips to prevent them from shouting. The room was heated as sweat filled their face, their hair was covering it too.
Suddenly, Kyle eyes opened as he swallowed, his eyes roaming where it could.
He couldn’t see anyone from far only a light was shone on them. Mistakenly, he tried to tilt his head but it hit the pole harshly and he groaned inwardly.
“hmmmmmm” he was unable to speak up due to the tape on his mouth.
He soon realized where he is, and he shook vigorously trying to free himself but he couldn’t.
“Mnnmnnnn” he groaned out and it made Kayla come back into consciousness.
She looked around as she tried to move only to see herself tied, she felt Kyle at her back.
She wanted to talk but the tape didn’t allow her…
Instantly, someone appeared in front of them as they turned out to be the same men dressed in black.
“Here Miss!” One of them muttered as Isabella face came to view, her heels clicking on the floor.
Kyle and Kayla eyes widened on seeing her, it was the lady their mum had beaten up yesterday.
“Where is their mother!” She asked and the men faced her.
“Mother!”
“I asked you two to take their mother along!” Isabella snapped and they shook their head.
“We didn’t hear that!” They replied and Isabella cursed silently.
“Shit!”
“Fine, it can still go on without her!” She mumbled and walked closer to the pole the twins were tied to.
“Hey kids!” She smirked widely at them and they frowned.
“Hmmmmm” They groaned out as they struggled to freeze themselves.
“Oh Sowie kids!” Isabella faced a sad face tilting her head.
“Just keep calm okay!” She whispered flashing them a dark smirk.
“Remove the tape!” She ordered and the men removed the tape amd they gasped for air rapidly.
“You’re a monster!” Kyle screamed and Isabella shrugged.
“I agree to that!” She replied, smiling.
“You’re a witch…..you’ll never get what you want!” Kayla added and she faced her.
“I will, cause a witch can do anything to get what they want!” She replied sternly as they stiffened their face.
“Release them from the pole and tie them to a chair!” She ordered again , her eyes on them.
She turned around and walked away into the darkness as the men released the twins.

COURT*
Carlos face was blank as he stood right in the alter waiting for his so-called bride.
He had actually been forced to come up here by his father and he can’t escape because he got someone to watch him.
He grinned inwardly as Charlotte came in dressed beautiful in her white wedding gown, the veil covered her make-uped face as she walked towards the alter with her father beside her.
They got to the alter and her father smiled going to Carlos.
“Make sure you take good care of her!” He whispered and Carlos scoffed.
The man ignored it and went down the alter as they faced the priest. They started the sermon and soon it was time for the vows.
“Here is it!”
“Miss. Charlotte Baker. Do you take Carlos Russell as your lawfully wedded husband!?” He asked and she smiled, blushing hard.
“Yes, I do!” She replied still smiling and the priest faced Carlos who had no expression on his face.
“Mr. Carlos Russell. Do you take Charlotte Baker as your lawfully wedded wife!?” He asked but Carlos hesitated. He turned his gaze to the audience to see his father giving him some warning signs.
He ignored it and faced Charlotte who was blushing while looking at him. He lifted his brows and faced the priest again.
“No!” He snapped and everyone gasped, even Charlotte was not left out too. She wasn’t expecting his answer to be like that.
“Why Mr. Carlos Russell!” The priest asked.
“I said No, isn’t that clear enough!” He snapped again as Mr. Russell face turned red in rage.
“Carlos what are you saying!” Mrs. Russell screamed.
Mr. Russell didn’t say a word as he marched out of the court angrily.

Ava has been crying non-stop as Shane held her to himself, he has been trying to make her stop crying but it wasn’t working.
They had called the police earlier but they haven’t found anything, those men didn’t leave any trace of their kidnap at all.
“Mia!” He called but she didn’t respond as she kept weeping profusely.
“It okay, you’ll catch a flu” he urged but it didn’t work. He sighed and pulled her face into his chest as she held his top.
“Bring….. back my…. babies!!!* She stammered, her voice cracking.
“Don’t worry, they’ll be fine” he replied and kissed her hair patting it.
They had gone far from their reach but there was no sign of the twins. Shane was devastated as one person came to his mind.
He gritted his teeth angrily as Anthony bursted in.
“Dude, don’t tell me it true!!” He asked as he landed his weight on a couch and Shane nodded.
“Who’s behind this! Do you have a grudge on someone!?” He asked.
“You know I don’t fight!” Shane snapped.
“Is it Isabella!!” Anthony muttered and shook his head. “No, She is not this wicked!” He shook his head negatively.
Instantly, an unknown number call came through Shane’s phone and he furrowed his brows.
“Pick it up” Anthony urged and Shane did so placing it on his ears.
“Hey Shane” A voice came and Shane recognized it to be Isabella’s.
“Bella, when did you change your line, and why are you using someone else number to call me?” He asked and she chuckled.
“Calm down baby!”
“Don’t call me that!” Shane snapped and Ava faced up.
“What wrong!” She asked, sniffing. Her eyes were puffy
“Oh! She’s right there!” Isabella muttered.
“What do you want!?” Shane asked.
“Just wanna let you know that your kids are safe with me!” She blurted and Shane stood up shockingly.
“What!!, You are behind this!” He exclaimed.
“Stay calm baby, I wanna talk to you privately!” She requested.
“Speak up, no one’s here!” He said and she chuckled darkly.
“Don’t fool me Shane, I know your girlfriend and Anthony are there. You just have to move away to a silent area, and again, don’t put on the loud speaker!” She muttered and Shane twitched his lips.
Anthony gave him a go-ahead and he stood up.
“Be right back, Mia!” He flashed her an assuring smile and left. Ava watched his retreating backs as he walked upstairs.
“I can’t believe this, Isabella is behind it!” Anthony exclaimed.
“That bitch!!!” Ava grinned, she couldn’t imagine how her kids would be feeling right now, locked up in an unknown place.
She palmed her face as she remembered the lashing she had given her.
“It seems what I’ve given her yesterday is too small, The next time will be more worst!!!” She grinned inwardly.
Suddenly, the door bell rang and Ava faced up to the door.
“I’ll take it” Anthony offered.
“No, I will…..” Ava rejected and stood up herself walking slowly to the door.
She opened it to see the last thing she never wanted to see…..

CHAPTER 59 & 60 : A Heart-Wrenching Twist

DAWSON’S PENTHOUSE*
“Dad!!!!!” Ava gasped shockingly.
He stood helplessly right in front of her, he had wrinkles appearing on his face showing that he’s getting aged.
He was looking upkeept as he stared at the New Ava in front of him.
“Ava!” He called stretchin his hand towards her, she stepped back holding onto the door.
“Excuse me, do I know you!” She asked feigning ignorance, she was feeling hurt and pained inside her.
First, her kids were kidnapped now her father appeared from nowhere.
“Ava, it me your father!” He replied.
“I don’t have a father and please leave!” Ava snapped and shut the door hurtfully.
She walked back to the couch and sat on the floor palming her face as tears flowed from her eyes.
She never imagined him coming to look for her after what he did years ago…
“Ava, who’s is it!” Anthony asked.
Ava didn’t respond as she just sat rooted on her spot…
Soon, Shane stepped down from the staircase with a look that wasn’t appreciable.
He halted his steps as his gaze met Ava, his face fell as he walked towards them.
“What did she say!?” Anthony asked.
Shane didn’t reply as he gazed at Ava whose face was palmed, his heart shattered as he remembered the conversation earlier.
FLASHBACK*
Shane got upstairs and placed the phone back in his ears.
“What do you wanna say!?” He asked.
“How am I sure no one is with you!” Isabella replied and he grinned.
“Speak!!! No one’s here” he snapped.
“Ok, just wanna request something in return for your kids!” She said.
“What do you want? Money!!?” He asked and she chuckled loudly.
“Ion need your money, I need you Shane!” She replied and he rolled his eyes.
“So, I want us to have a secret small wedding. Just the two of us alone by Tomorrow” she requested and Shane eyes darkened.
“You’re crazy, Isabella!!! What do you mean!?” He asked.
“Yeah, I know I’m crazy but what i asked for isn’t much right?” She grinned and he folded his fist angrily.
“Why do you think I’ll do such, you know……”.
“I know you have a girlfriend, so you should just stay away her or perhaps send her back to where she came from!” Isabella snapped, cutting him off.
He gritted his teeth as he hit the vase beside him making it fall on the ground, shattering into pieces.
“Hey, If you do not agree to the deal then consider your kids dead!..” She threatened and Shane eyes fell.
“They are safe here, you don’t have to worry, only if you cooperate. I will be expecting you by 5PM tomorrow.” She said.
“I’m watching you, don’t dare deceive me!”
“And if you don’t show up, you’ll regret the next thing that will happen to your kids” She added and Shane quickly removed the phone from his ears.
His face fell as he remembered Ava.
Why is she doing this? Is she this Obsessed? He can’t Leave Ava!
He remembered the threat Isabella gave and his eyes darkened angrily.

“Shane!” Anthony called as he jerked up from his thoughts, Ava looked up with puffy eyes.
“Cyrus!” She called but he didn’t respond, he went outside and Anthony followed suit.
Ava watched him wondering what could have happened.

Carlos got into the living room, he won’t have come back but he had forgotten something so important.
Before he knew it, a slap landed on his face and he gasped holding his cheek which was red due to the hit.
He looked forward to see his father in front of him, his eyes were burning with rage.
“So you choose to disgrace me out of your foolishness right!?” He yelled.
“I did what I wanted, I told you that I don’t want her!” Carlos defended and Mr. Russell hit his cheek again.
“Are you still into that lady!?” He thundered but he remained silent.
“You see your son, Nica!” He added facing Mrs. Russell.
“Since you’ve decided to destroy my image…..From now on, you are no longer a Russell” he blurted and Carlos eyes widened in shock, Mrs. Russell wasn’t left out too.

Anthony drove into the lonely way and halted the car. He faced Shane who has been quiet.

He walked towards a building, it looks old and uncompleted as he walked into it.
Everywhere was really dark to the core as he saw a shadow from afar.
He stepped back as the shadow walked towards him, Shane blinked as a man dressed in black came in front of him.
“Follow me!” He said sternly and turned away.
Shane followed suit as they walked deeper into the building, they got to a place and the man stopped by a wall. He removed a particular rock and a botton came to view.
He pressed it hard and the wall divided into two revealing stairs down like an underground.
The man walked down the stairs and Shane followed suit, surprised by the work of Isabella.

Something beep in his ears and the man stopped facing him.
“What is that!?” He asked suspiciously.
“Nothing!” He quickly declined, the man lifted his brows as his hands went to Shane’s pocket and brought out his phone to see it switched on.
He quickly switched it off and held it instead as they walked down to a dark alley in the building till they got to a particular open space.
Isabella stood regalliously in her red gown as her eyes landed on Shane, her eyes gleamed as she walked towards him.
“Hey, I’ve been waiting!” She whispered trying to touch him.
“Don’t touch me!” He snapped.
“You are going to be my husband soon, so why won’t i” she replied.
“I said don’t!” He warned and she withdrew her hands.
“Okay then!, Let go to the alter. It time” she flashed him a smile and he rolled his eyes as they walked to the small alter to meet an aged man in his 40’s.
Shane smiled as he watched the priest make the presentation.
Isabella lifted her eyebrows as she saw Shane smiled. “He’s planning something!” She thought as her eyes shifted to the man.
Someone came towards her and whispered something into her ears and her eyes widened….
“Make it fast, old man!” She yelled at the priest as her heart started pounding fast and the priest halted for a moment.
“Why so fast, are you scared of getting caught!!!” Shane smirked and she gritted her teeth.
“How do you think I’ll leave my own girlfriend for you, isn’t that stupid” he scoffed as her eyes went red in rage.

“And that request is impossible!” He snapped.

“Arghhhhh” she groaned as Some people bursted in pointing at them. It obvious they were cops from what they are wearing.

“Boss, they are not in this building!” One of them said.
“We can’t find them!”
“Where are my kids!?” Shane demanded and Isabella laughed loudly choking her breath.
“You mean, your twins!”
“Where are they right now!” Shane yelled but she smirked more.
“You won’t find them!” She replied and Shane face fell.

“Because you deceived me first and you’ll pay for it. I’m sure your kids will soon be burning to ashes, just 2 minutes more” She smirked sheepishly.
“What!!! You placed a bomb there!” He yelled and she clicked her tongues.

Instantly, he grabbed her neck tightly and raised her up. Her men wanted to move closer but the cops drew them back.
“Where are they!” He thundered.
“The……. warehouse……down the…..lonely alley!”
“I swear to Gawd, you’ll die in my hands if they don’t survive!” He threatened and she coughed hard.
“We’ll…..go…. together…..cause…..there…..is…..also…..one…….here” She blurted, laughing and Shane quickly released her.
She coughed repeatedly as she held her sore throat. Suddenly, beeps sounded in the underground wall as everyone looked aside to see a time bomb counting down.
Shane quickly rushed out just like he came in earlier with speed.
He did not care about the bomb but his kids that were in bondage.
He rushed back up to the earth and went outside the door, just after he did with the cops, the building exploded immediately flying them far away.
Shane landed on the ground, blood covering his face. He groaned out loudly as he sprained his knees.
He stood up and started walking slowly, Anthony saw him and rushed towards him.
“Shane!!!” He exclaimed as his hands went to his neck.
“Take me to the car!” He demanded and Anthony did just that taking Shane to the front seat.
He went to the driver seat and drove off instantly.
Meanwhile, Ava got down from a taxi and paid the driver before walking into a particular building.
Just from the look it a warehouse as Ava wondered if she had lost her way, she walked towards it and put on a face cap.
She walked to a point when she heard voices from the building.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhh” Screams came from in and Ava recognized it to be her kids voice. Her heart raced as she rushed to the entrance but it was locked.
She banged the door repeatedly screaming.
“Kyle……Kayla!!!!!”
“Ahhhhh” The screams came again as Ava eyes wandered everywhere. It landed on a huge stick and she quickly went to it picking it up.
It was really heavy as she dragged it to the door.
“Mummmmmm!!!!!!!” Kayla voice came and Ava quickly hit the door with the stuck but it wasn’t working. She groaned out as her breath increased fearfully.
Instantly, she heard beeps coming from inside and her fear reached the peak.
“Ahhh Nooooo, Kyle……Kayla..!!!!!” She screamed.
“Mum, there is a bomb!!!!!!!”
“Wait, I’m coming”

Just then, Shane car was sighted from afar as it rushed to the building immediately, just before they could get close.
