Episode 16 : The Past Returns
(FEW DAYS LATER)
Adrien was busy in his office operating his laptop looking so engrossed in it when Bobby came in,
Looking so moody.
“Hey bobby are the client here for the meeting” Adrien asked and then looked at bobby and found him frowning.
“What’s with the face Bobby?” He asked curiously.
“You’re not gonna like it when you get to find out what happen” Bobby said sadly.
“What do you mean?”
“Check this out” Bobby have his iPad to Adrien who took it and read something on it before he looked at bobby in shock.
“What?how come the clients cancel the contract?” Adrien yelled furiously.
“I don’t really what happen but they called not quite long that they are no more interested working with us” Bobby said
“This is not good” Adrien said angrily.
“This was suppose to be our biggest contract but how come it……damn it” Adrien cursed angrily as he stood up and face the window.
“What are we going to do?recently the restaurant has been losing some amount of money and this contract was suppose to cover those losses” Bobby grumbled.
“Maybe we should plead with them Adrien, may in that way they could consider us again” Bobby suggested but it only furred Adrien up,that was the last thing he could think of doing, he hate begging for his daily needs.
“Hell no! If they don’t want us anymore so be it,another way will show up soon I don’t know how but I’m sure of it” Adrien said confidently
“But Adrien I’ll suggest…..”.
“I’ll like to be alone” Adrien said the turn to the window, Bobby sighed and then walked out of the office.
Adrien stood still watching out of the window trying to figure out away to get out of this mess before his mind went off to Monica.
Monica!
Oh yes Monica! She was willing to offer him the contract of being her new chef and that could make a lot of money,oh goodness!how come he never thought about it.
He went over to his desk drawer and then brought out the black shinning card she gave him,luckily he kept it safe at first he never took her offer serious but now he is damn serious about it.
He dialed her number and waited patiently for her to pick up.
“Seriously Monica you attended Sonia’s Father’s birthday party and you never told me about it” Natasha said as they both sat in Monica’s office.
“Was there any need of me telling you” Monica sneered.
“Oh really, but weren’t you the one saying you won’t attend” Natasha scoffed.
“Point of correction honey, I never said I was not going to attend I was on contemplating if I was going to attend” Monica corrected her.
Natasha rolled her eyes.
“So you just suddenly decided you wanted to attend, isn’t it?why do I feel there was something behind it”.
“What do you mean” Monica asked.
“That you are beginning to have feelings for Adrien, am I right?” Natasha suddenly stated.
Monica froze not knowing what to say.
“I…I don’t know what you are trying to say” Monica shifted her gaze from her,Natasha understood immediately.
“Don’t try to deny Monica, I know you like Adrien, I can see the looks in your eyes whenever you talk about him” Natasha insisted, Monica smiled.
“No I don’t…….” Monica was distracted by her ringing phone,it was an unknown number.
“Hello”.
“Hello,good afternoon is this Monica Ryan on the line?” The male voice spoked from the other line.
“Yes this is Monica Specking,please who am I Specking with” she asked curiously.
“This is Adrien Specking”.
“Adrien!” At the mention of his name her face brighten up even Natasha did not fail to miss it.she gave out a. ‘I said so didn’t I?’
“I’m sorry I didn’t know you the calling Adrien” she said feeling so happy to hear his voice.
“Yea, I’m sorry to call you at your time” he said.
“Oh never mind” she said.
“I called about that offer we talked about some days ago,I just wanna know if it’s still available” he asked curiously.
Monica smiled within, she new he was going to need her help one day but she never knew it will this early.
“It’s always available as long as you’re interested” she muttered.
“Well I’m interested now”.
“Ok why don’t we meet somewhere to talk more about business” she said.
“Sure”.
“I’ll text you an address where we could meet” she said.
“Alright I’ll be expecting it” he said then Hung up.
Monica smiled as she dropped the phone down and the let out a soft sigh ,she turned to look at Natasha who was starring at her.
“Are you still gonna deny it Monica” Natasha asked Monica let out a frown.
“Can you just let me be” Monica said rudely and the picked up her phone.
Natasha stood up and smiled wearily at her.
“I just want you to know that you have to be so careful with out you are about to do” she said and then walked our of the office.
“Whatever” Monica rolled her eyes and the smiled as she texted an address to Adrien.
Episode 17 : Unveiling the Truth
Monica held unto her golden purse as she sat in her expensive car,she was already dressed beautifully to go and see Adrien in at a restaurant.
She had a smile on her face as she had the thought of seeing Adrien, what is he really doing to? Ever since Natasha made mention of her being in love with Adrien she had not been herself.
Was she truly in love with him?
“I think I’m in love with Adrien” she thought.
If she was not in love with him then why does his eyes fascinate her? Why does his voice drive her crazy?why does she always arch for his warm touch.
Why?
Her thought was distracted when she saw her phone ringing, it was an unknown number.
“Hello” she picked the caller.
“Honey baby”the voice from the other line spoke,instantly she knew it who it was.
” Maxwell “she called him by his full name ” what is it you my want?”she half yelled.
“Baby,why are you ignoring me?I’ve been sending messages to you but you’ve been ignoring them,all the number i used in calling you you’ve blocked them” he spoked softly.
“And why won’t I be ignoring them?after what you did to me do you expect me to still want us together” she said vigorously.
“What you saw that day was not really what you meant, the lady that day on my bed…she…she was my maid,I don’t really know what happen day, she seduced me and I foolishly fell for it,please believe me,I just want you back baby” he shuttered, Monica smiled bitterly.
“You don’t have to explain anything to me max,when I say it’s over I mean it over,so stop troubling my life okey” she yelled. Max paused for a while.
“I know you’re still up set with me but I know you’d still come back to me,I still want you and you will always be mine baby,I won’t give up on you i promise” he said firmly.
“You want who?you must be crazy,can you just get off my damn phone and don’t call me ever again” she barked and then hung up the called,she was feeling so angry,she felt like hitting him so hard on the head.
Such a stupid liar,he thinks he fool me?”she thought.
“Ma’am, we are here” the driver announced.
Monica looked through the window and she could see that they have already arrive at the fancy restaurant. She let out a smile as she came out of the car.
Adrien slowly sipped from his wine as she was seated at the restaurant Monica texted to him so they could meet for the business meeting.
Before coming over her told Sonia about the contract Monica wanted to offer him,she was really happy about and she was not even against it,she felt more happy seeing her best friend and had husband walking together as a business partner.
After waiting for what seems for ever,Monica finally walked majestically into the restaurant, Adrien already sighted her.
His brown eyes swept from her head to toe accessing her in her blue skinny gown that was clenched on her round curves.
She was on white high heels and was gold a white purse to match,she sighted him and then let out a cute smile at him reviewing her White set of teeth, she actually looked so beautiful tonight, Adrien had to confess.
She walked over to his table with her hips going side to side making some men in the restaurant looking her way,she was so charming.
‘She looks like she was on a seducing mission’adrien remember bobby’s statement.
Well Monica looks beautiful, so damn Beautiful but at the mention of Sonia woman who stole his heart he sees no other beauty.
“Hi Adrien”.
“Hello Monica” Adrien replied as he help with a seat beside him.
“I’m so sorry for coming late,I was busy with some meeting” she pleaded, Adrien smiled.
“Never mind I understand, what matters is that you still made it here” he said she smiled.
Adrien called the waiter and then helped her to order for a glass of wine.
“We are actually here to talk about the contract we talk the other day,I told my wife about it and she we not against it” he said
“Why would she be against it,what are we friends for” she said.
“Thanks by the way,this contract means a lot to me at this moment, let me be frank with you, you are my wife best friend and I see no reason hiding anything from you” he said sincerely,
Monica lean closer to him while her upper chest became exposed which Adrien did not fail to notice.
“Yes I know,and I’m willing to help you Adrien, just tell me what you want and I’ll do it for you” she said seductively and then rest her hand on his.
Adrien looked at her confusedly and the withdraw his hand from her.
“Thank you,I really appreciate it Monica” he said slowly feeling so confused about the way she was beginning to look at him.
Monica eyes were fixed on Adrien’s red lips, it looks so sexy and tempting, as if she was under some kind of spell she lean closer to him,wrapped her hands around his neck and then slammed her lips in his lips.
Episode 18 : Seeking Support
What!!!!!!
What the hell!!!!!
Adrien’s mind screamed at him,Monica is kissing him right now,he could not believe it.
Monica lean closer to him with her eyes tightly closed as she kissed his soft tender lips, she kissed him as if she has been starving for it,jezz!!!this had been her dream,to hold and kiss him like this.
Adrien was mute for a while before he regained his senses and then pushed her away causing them to break roughly from the kiss.
“What are doing Monica?” He asked as he tried to catch his breath,Monica smile as her fix were still fixed on his lips.
“Kissing you of course” she blunted out carelessly, Adrien looked at her confusedly.
“Why would you kiss me? Have you forgotten who I am,I’m your best friend husband remember?” He said trying to see if her brain was still in her skull.
“I know,but I don’t care” she said seductively as she wanted to come closer,Adrien stood up immediately.
“I think we should stop this meeting here, I’m leaving” he turned to leave but Monica hold his hand stopping him from leaving.
“But what about the contract……”.
“I’m no longer interested in it anymore, goodnight” he yanked his hand from her and walked out of the restaurant furiously.
Monica watched his existing back till it went out if sight before a smile appeared on her lips.
“We are not done yet Adrien, you’re now in my trap” she muttered.
Adrien walked into the room and then met Sonia sleeping already,he sighed as he went to change into his cloth into something comfy and then lay beside her.
He pulled her closer to himself and then inhaled her sweet scent,his mind drifted to the kissing scene he had with Monica, he frowned instantly.
What was wrong with Monica, she was fine when she arrived at the restaurant but later on she began to act weird.
Why did she have to kiss him when she fully knows that he is her best friend husband,if Sonia gets to find out what happen between them she would get so furious.
He have to avoid Monica at all cost,that lady is up to know good.
(NEXT MORNING)
Adrien woke up and looked beside him,Sonia was already wake,she must have gone to prepare Jayden for school as usual, he lazily stood up from the bed and then went to have a shower, he came out dripping wet,he put in a gray suit and then stood at the front of the mirror trying to knot his black tie when Sonia walked in.
“Good morning my love” she smiled at him and then kissed him softly.
“Morning baby” he said gently.
“You came home pretty late last night” she said as she began to help him knot his tie.
Adrien paused for a while before replying.
“Yeah,meetings held me back as usual” he simply said.
“So tell me how was the meeting you had with Monica?” She asked causally, Adrien paused again wondering what to say to cover up.
“Well…we..hmmm we talked a little about the contract, but she said would still get back to me soon” he lied and then felt bad that he had to lie to her.
“Ok, I’ll be so happy if you two work together, Monica is the nicest person when you get to know her”she smiled.
Adrien looked at his innocent wife,she had know idea about who Monica was.
” I see”he muttered then looked at himself in the mirror before turning to look at Sonia, he wrapped his hands around her waist and then looked at her eyes affectionately.
“I want you yo know that I will keep in loving you Sonia, we are both stock together and there is nothing that can separate us” he says sincerely, Sonia smiled.
“Yes I know honey,til death do us part” Sonia said.
“Till death do us part” he repeat.
“I love you wifey”.
“I love you hubby” she said.
Adrien kissed her deeply,he kissed her as if he was trying to pour out all his emotion.
His phone beep a message notification, they pulled away.
“Come down stairs honey, breakfast is ready” she told him.
“I’ll be right behind you” he told her then she went our of the room.
He pick his phone which was laying on the bed then he opened the message and the saw some unknown number sent him video.
He opened it and the gasped,it was a kissing video of him and Monica last night at the restaurant.
“What the hell” he yelled.
Episode 19 : Protecting His Marriage
He widen his eyes as in shock as he looked at the video in him phone.
Who took this video? Who the hell send this video to him and why?
As he was thinking a message notification came into his phone, he quickly clicked on it and read it.
📱do you like the video? I enjoyed watching it but it was more interesting when we did it physically.
Instantly he knew who was behind it.
“Monica” he grunted angrily as he tighten his hold on the phone.
He went out of the room in hurry.
“Aren’t you having breakfast honey” Sonia asked him when she saw him going to the entrance door.
“No baby,I have something so urgent to do at the office” he lied and then he felt so bad that he lied.
He kissed her and rushed out of the house, he went into his car and drove out of the house in annoyance with one person in his mind.
Monica!.
Monica was busy in her office, enjoying her silent space,there was a slight smile on hei face as she hummed on a song.
“Ma’am Monica there is a man here who says he likes to see you” her secretary walked in to inform her.
“Which man?” Monica lifted her eyes to look at her.
“He says his name his Adrien…..”.
“Let him in” Monica cut her off with a wide smile, the secretary nodded then went out. In a few seconds Adrien walked in.
“Who do we have here, what a pleasant surprise Adrien” she exclaimed.
“Please save me the silly drama and explain what this video means” Adrien said angrily as he showed her the video in his phone.
Monica smiled after watching it.
“We look really cute together in the video” she said and that alone made him furred up.
“Is this some kind of joke Monica? How you could be so shameless to send something as this to me?” He said angrily Monica laughed lightly as she stood up and catwalk towards him.
“Isn’t it obvious Adrien……”
She stopped right in front of him and then placed her hands on his shoulders.
“I love you” she said looking directly into his eyes.
“You what” he asked in shook.
“You heard me”.
He pushed her away from him.
“Look,I will really appreciate it if you stop this nonsense of yours now it still early, let this be the last time we me meet okey” he said then turn to leave
“Yes it will as soon as Sonia gets to see the video” she said with a smirk on her face,Adrien frowned as he looked at her.
“What? You must be kidding”.
“No I’m not kidding you”.
“Wait a minute, are you blackmailing me?” He asked with folded brows. Monica chuckles.
“Yes I am”.
“I only came here to warn you to back off from me not to get blackmailed” he snorted.
“Well,I’m damn serious here Adrien, I love you and when I say I love you I want you so badly, if you think my blackmailing is an empty threat then try me,I don’t mind breaking your marriage” she said.
Adrien folded his fist.
“You are a witch” he cursed.
“Please don’t say that honey, I’m doing it for the both of us” she said as she tried to touch him.
“Don’t you dare touch me” he frowned.
“Why won’t I touch you, you are mine now so I have all right to touch you as I want”.
“Why are you doing this to Sonia, she is your best friend for crying our loud” he said.
Monica paused and then placed her hand on him again as she moved closer to him.
“I know but it wasn’t my fault, I saw you and then got so attracted to to you Adrien and I just can’t help it” she said as she look at his red lips and then moved so close to him to kiss him but the door burst open and then someone walked in looking so shocked.
Episode 20 : Sonia’s Strength
Monica paused as she lean more closer to Adrien and then turned to look at the person that walked in,she rolled her eyes when she saw Natasha looking at them in shock.
Adrien moved backward still with a frown on his face.
“Oh I’m sorry…for interrupting……” Natasha shutter.
“Never mind I’m leaving” he said without looking any of them,aiming for the door.
“Adrien wait we’re not done talking” Monica called him but he ignored her.
Monica went back to her seat and then found Natasha starring at her.
“What?” She mouthed.
“Can you please kindly explain what I just saw” Natasha said huskily.
“What did you see?” Monica asked.
“You and Adrien…. In your office….. About to kiss” Natasha sneered.
Monica chuckles slightly.
“We were about to kiss and you ruined it” she scoffed.
“Monica, what the hell! You guys were about to kiss but it’s seem he was not into you? Tell me what’s going on?” Natasha asked.
Monica ignored her as she typed on her computer,Natasha sighed.
“Well I know you won’t give me the details yourself thank goodness I heard your conversation and….” She sighed “Monica why are threatening him,he is Sonia’s husband and he does not like you”.
“He’s going to love me,very soon” Monica said to herself with a convincing smile.
“I don’t think so,because Adrien loves Sonia a lot,I’ll only advice you to stop what you are doing” Natasha frowned.
“I’ll advice you to mind your business” Monica snapped at her angrily, Natasha sighed and then dropped the file she came to summit and then went out of the door office.
Monica stopped tapping her laptop as her mind drifted to Adrien, she smiled her plans are beginning to work little by little.
Adrien and Bobby sat in his office, bobby was busy explaining something about company’s welfare but Adrien was lost in thought,Bobby notice it.
“Adrien what’s up with you? You seems to be spacing out since you arrive to the office”.
Bobby asked curiously, Adrien looked at him weary and sighed.
“Tell me buddy what happen? Are you and Sonia having issues?” He asked, Adrien shake his head no.
“So what’s the problem?”
After stay quite for a while he decided to speck up.
“I’m scared Bobby” he muttered.
“You’re scared? But why do you say you’re scared?”
“My marriage is at stake and I’m so scared” Adrien said.
“Oh it about you and Sonia, right?”
“No, it’s about Sonia’s friend and I,Monica”.
“Who is Monica?”
“The girl with the black gown at Sonia’s Father party” he Adrien said.
“Oh I remember, the lady I was crushing on,what’s up with her?” Bobby smiled.
Adrien began to narrate what has been going on to Bobby who listen in surprise.
“Damn it,I never knew she was this devilish like seriously, why would she do such a thing?she is a seducing demon” bobby exclaimed
“She is more than a demon Bobby, that girl is up to no good and I really don’t know what to do” Adrien said frustratedly.
“Why is she going for the married ones when the single ones are here” Bobby said sadly, Adrien glared at him then ignored him thinking of his sorrow.
“But Adrien what I can suggest is that you tell this to Sonia” Bobby said.
“What?” Adrien gasped.
“Yes Adrien, you need to show her the video and explain everything to her before she hears it elsewhere” Bobby said.
“No I can’t do that,she will be so angry and wouldn’t listen to me,it will be to painful to watch that video, she will be so furious, I can’t do it,it’s too risky” Adrien disagreed.
“Come on man,that’s the best opinion, or are you really going to bide to Monica deed”.
Adrien sighed.
“I don’t know” he said.
“So you have to tell Sonia, it will be best if she hears it from you” Bobby tried to convince him but Adrien was not buying it.
“I can’t Bobby I just can’t do it,I will have to find a way to get out of this mess somehow but I just can’t bring myself to tell all this to Sonia to the face,there would be lots of chaos” Adrien said,Bobby looked at him then sighed tiredly.
“Don’t say I didn’t tell you” Bobby muttered.
