Chapter 43 & 44 : Aurora’s Triumph
Alora eyes were on Aurora all through and she sighed. She shook her head slowly.
She touched Aurora’s chest and noticed her breathing faint and slow like it was going to stop soon.
She gasped “This is going to be hard” she mumbled as she noticed it just a minutes left.
Suddenly, the moon shone into the room, it’s rays hitting Aurora’s face and Alora smiled.
Instantly, Aurora’s hair glowed white Brightening the room. She heaved and a smoke-like substance came out of her mouth vanishing into thin air.
“She coughed out and her eyes which were opened was shut instantly.
She tilted her head and sat up opening her eyes as her hair flowed with the air casting brighter white glow in the lounge.
She suddenly felt a sense of unease and she groaned. “What……. happening” she stammered as her eyes scanned the lounge.
It landed on Alora and she tilted her head back.
“Who are you” she asked.
“I’m Alora”
“I haven’t seen you before, why are you here?! and what happened to me?!!” She rushed her questions.
“I don’t need to answer that……you need to go outside now. You’re the only one who can save the Emperor” Alora pointed at the door.
“August…..” Her eyes gleamed in horror.
She quickly stood up and dashed out of the lounge her long white bright hair flowing like a bridal veil in the air.
“Who’s next….” Atlas smirked and Walked closer to Augustus who was lying on the ground. Point and she nodded and she
“Just end him totally.!!” Malicia heaved, her eyes glowing black.
Before Atlas could raise his sword, a faint light glowed from afar.
Malicia furrowed her brows as the light became brighter.
Augustus eyes were blurry as he sighted the light.
The lights became more brighter and they covered their eyes with their hands to prevent the rays from penetrating into them.
A figure came out of the light turning out to be Aurora, their eyes widened.
“How did……” Malicia eyes widened in shock and Atlas became surprised on seeing her.
Aurora expression was covered in an Angry gaze as her eyes settled on Augustus. He smiled at her and she looked up at Malicia and Atlas.
With a flip of her hair, Atlas and Malicia eyes blinded instantly.
“Arghhhh……I can’t see” Atlas groaned trying to gain his sight.
Malicia folded her palms together as she tried to recite some spells.
“Deok……” Before she could say anything else, Aurora raised her hands up sending white balls to her and Malicia stumbled greatly.
Aurora quickly went to meet Augustus, kneeling beside him.
He was breathing heavily as Aurora held him. “Aurora……is that….you” he stammered and she nodded instantly
“Yes, it me……stand up please” she muttered, her eyes filled with worries.
“Your fat……” He wanted to complete but he couldn’t.
Aurora unknowingly touched his back where he was wounded and he felt it closing up.
He closed his eyes tightly and flinged it back open.
“What just.. happened” he muttered as he used his hands to touch his back, he can’t feel the pain anymore.
The wound disappeared??
His eyes gleamed in horror as he opened Aurora palm. “How did you…….” He mumbled.
“Ahhhhhhh” Atlas screamed as his head hit the pole.
“Aur…ora, your father..” He mumbled.
“My father, what happened to him??” she rushed her questions.
“He’s, he’s………” Augustus pointed at the direction where Sebastian body was.
Aurora darted her gaze towards it and she felt her breath shaking as she saw her father’s head.
“That….not….my….father right??” She stammered, pointing at the body as her palms were shaking vigorously.
Augustus couldn’t say a word as he closed his eyes tightly.
“No ooooooooo, not him??” She screamed as tears found it way out of her eyes.
She stood up quickly as her eyes became bloodshot. She rushed towards Atlas and grabbed his head hitting it continuously on the pole without stopping.
Augustus pulled her away from him and Atlas fell on the ground weakly, blood dripping from his forehead and mouth.
Malicia noticed that they were distracted and opened her palm, but before she could say a word, Augustus tightened his hand.
Malicia held her neck like he was choking her, he closed his palm slowly and Malicia’s neck tightened the more.
“My father did a mistake of sealing you…you should have just died with your ancestors” Augustus spat as she fight for breath.
He closed his palm and she fell on the floor, he quickly sped to her summoning his sword, the faint blue light shining on it.
He used it to stab Malicia deep into her chest and her dark eyes widened, her mouth opened almost tearing.
She turned into ashes slowly and vanished into thin air.
Aurora crept beside Sebastian body as her body was shaking. She can’t take the news, she can’t take the fact that her father is gone.
Just like that??
“Ahhhhhhhhhhh” She screamed as everywhere shook greatly. Her hands were shaky as she touched him but it was cold.
“Father!!!!!! Noooooo” She screamed as his body began vanishing from his legs turning into bright faint green light.
She cried bitterly as his body went gone completely, Augustus came beside her hugging her back.
The green light surrounded them as Aurora tears couldn’t stop flooding away from her eyes.
“Father!!!!!!” She yelled as the green light went right up to the sky. She raised her hands up like she could reach it but couldn’t.
“Rory…..” Augustus called.
“He’s gone, August. My father is gone!!!!!” She wept continuously as he hugged her closer to himself making her tears fall on his bloody robe.
MONTHS LATER*
Emperor Sebastian may have died and gone to the sky but he still lingered in their memories.
Aurora was like a loner ever since he died but Augustus made her come back to her normal self, fortunately she didn’t loose her pregnancy.
Since Sebastian died, no one was able to aquire his throne as he only had female daughters, One of the trusted ministers took over it and it grew up again.
Aurora was staring out in the window lost in the sky, her bumb has started showing. She felt a hand wrapped around her waist and she smiled.
Even if she was sad, only one person brightens her mood.
“How did you sneak in” she asked turning to him.
“I’ve missed you so much” He hugged her slightly.
“I’ve missed you too, I haven’t seen you all day” she pouted.
“I was busy, c’mon” he urged tickling her and she chuckled.
“Stop” she laughed.
“You know, I can’t wait for the coronation day. I can’t wait for you to be finally my wife….mine alone” He smiled.
“Me too, I love you August” She smiled.
“I love you more than you do, Rory” he cupped her face and Captured his lips on hers and she responded.
she broke it suddenly and he frowned.
“Your little champ just kicked” she mouthed.
“Oh!!, He is feeling my touch” he muttered and she laughed. He placed his ear on her tummy “hey champ, I can notice you like me more than your mum right?” He Mumbled
“Don’t worry, I have so many things to teach you once you come to our world”.
“What do you wanna teach him” Aurora asked
“Something hot!!!!” He winked and Aurora hit his head.
“Ouch….what was that for” he asked.
“You want to teach my own baby, Nasty things right?” he muttered and he snuggled.
“What so bad about it?” He asked.
“Don’t corrupt my child, August” She chuckled.
“Nahhhh!!!!, I’m sure he’ll be more bad than me” Augustus said and Aurora hit his chest
“Oh!, Come here” He pulled her to himself trying not to tighten the hug.
She rested her head on his broad chest and he kissed her forehead.
Aurora sat gracefully in front of the mirror eating Apples as dina plaited her hair.
“Done, my lady” Dina muttered smiling.
Aurora checked the mirror and frowned.
“I don’t Ike it, it looks ugly on me” Aurora squeezed her face and Dina smile fell.
This is the seventh time she is plaiting Aurora’s hair but she is still not satisfied.
“But my lady, it the hairstyle that is trending now and it looks good on you” Dina muttered and Aurora mood changed.
She dropped the apples she was eating and stood up.
“I said I don’t like it, why are they not competent stylist in this palace” she flared up.
Dina flinched on her reaction, this is not the former Aurora. Her mood already changed.
“It just mood swings” Dina said in her mind.
“Leave Dina, out” she shook her head, immediately Queen Nana entered and Aurora face softened.
“Mother!!!” She exclaimed.
“Why are you flaring up like that, Aurora” She asked.
“I feel horrible, am I?…this hairstyles doesn’t even fit me at all” Aurora bursted into tears.
Dina jaw dropped, she was angry a while ago?
Queen Nana moved closer to her and hugged her cleaning her tears. “You don’t have to cry”.
“Come sit” She sat Aurora down on the chair back.
Queen Nana touched her white silk shimmered hair and she began to style it in her own way.
Soon, she was done and Aurora eyes gleamed.
“Do you like it” Queen Nana asked smiling.
“I love it!!! Mother, You are the best” Aurora exclaimed and hugged Queen Nana.
“Let stretched out your legs…..how is my grandchild doing” Queen Nana asked.
“He seems to respond to you Mother!!!!” Aurora smiled.
“Oh!, My little baby” She touched Aurora stomach feeling her bump.
“Let go!!” Queen Nana muttered and they left the suite together as their maids trailed behind.
Esmeralda scoffed on seeing Aurora with Queen Nana from her window. She went back to sit on the bed.
“What wrong!, My lady” sage asked.
“I just hate her, she seem to be getting all the attention all the whole time” Esmeralda scoffed.
“We can just push up with the plans” Sage muttered.
“She always go around with her silly maids” Esmeralda rolled her eyes.
“I just hate the fact that she didn’t die then” Esmeralda clenched her fist.
“Nothing, can stop us…..how about her sister you said you were going to use” Sage mumbled.
“She said she can’t hurt her sister even if she doesn’t like her, isn’t that dumb” Esmeralda squeezed her face.
“Then, we’ll do it alone….maybe we can lure her” Sage smiled darkly.
“That right??, You made a point” Esmeralda smirked.
Odessa caress her reddish neck as she groaned slightly. Her mind went to what transpired between her and the Emperor.
FLASHBACK***
Augustus was in the study room busy with the books and parchment before him when Odessa entered.
She smiled winking at him.
“Your highness” she bit her lips walking seductively to him.
“What do you want Odessa” he asked, his voice colder than ice.
“You, Your highness…….” She muttered and he scoffed.
“You have been rejecting me all this while, why?…..is it because of that my skinny Si….”
“Don’t complete it…leave” he snared but she stood still folding her arms.
He had always being sending her out but this time, she is staying to see what he’ll do.
“I said Leave” he repeated, hie eyes still fixed on the book in front of him.
“No, I won’t….” She smirked and moved closer to him slowly.
She almost touched him when Augustus grabbed her neck tightening his hands around it.
“Arghhh, pl…ease” she pleaded.
“You shouldn’t have tried doing Nonsense, I’ll have kicked you out but I spared you because of Rory” He snared and dropped her down.
She coughed repeatedly sitting up.
“Now, leave……” He half yelled and she squirted away.
PRESENT***
Odessa opened her rub balm and placed a little on her palm rubbing it on her neck.
His hands were too tight on her neck as she continued.
Astrid entered her chamber and Sapphire eyes lightened up.
“Astrid!!!” She exclaimed.
“Hey, moi baby” he widened his arm and ran to him hugging him tightly.
“I’ve missed you all day, where were you” she hit his chest and he chuckled.
“I’ve been busy….I missed you too?” He mumbled and smashed his lips on hers.
“Let do it, Astrid!!” She muttered and his eyes widened.
“Sapp, are you….” Sapphire used her index finger to stop him from talking and he furrowed his brows.
“Just do it…” She smiled.
“It painful, Sapp I don’t want to hurt you…” He muttered.
“It won’t be that painful Astrid!!!!” She pouted.
“You asked for it Sapp……” He said and took his lips on her as they kissed hotly deepening the kiss……..
Chapter 45 & 46 : Wedding Day
Sapphire groaned slightly as they rays of the sun hit her face, she touched the other side of the bed and noticed it empty.
Her eyes flinged open and she sat up slowly, her middle was still burning like fire.
“Has he gone” She thought as her eyes scanned the room, she pouted as she remembered the scene of last night. She gave her virginity to him yesterday and she really enjoyed it though it was painful.
Her mind went quickly to something and she realized. She checked the bedspread and saw it neat without any stains.
“Did he change the bedspread……” She asked no one in particular because she could remember the time her hymen broke.
Just then, Astrid came in from the lounge and she smiled.
“Where were you” she asked.
“I went to sort out something” he smiled, sitting beside her.
“You shouldn’t have left me, you almost gave me a wrong idea” Sapphire muttered.
“What idea??” He asked, raising his brows.
“Nevermind, did you change the bedspread…” She asked and he nodded.
She wanted to get down from the bed when she felt a sharp pain on her thigh. “Ahhh”
“What wrong!!!!” Astrid asked worriedly holding her.
“Leave me alone, you almost destroyed my legs last night” She snapped and he chuckled.
“You were screaming my name last night asking for more” he chuckled and she pouted.
“Stop it” she muttered her face becoming red.
“Oh..my…Gawd, faster….yeah right there…” He mimicked in her voice and she blushed hard using the duvet to cover her face.
He laughed and removed the duvet from her face. “Why are you shy” He asked and she hit him on his arm.
“Sapp” he called, his voice low.
“Huh”
“What do you think the Emperor would say once he find out about our relationship” He asked and her smile fell.
” I’ll convince him” she replied.
“What if he reject” he asked.
“Don’t look down on yourself Astrid, no matter what, I’ll stand by you” she hugged him and he smiled.
“I need to wash up” She mumbled, her voice barely above whispers.
Before she could even stress herself, Astrid carried her in a bridal style and she blinked. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he took her into the bathroom.
The throne room was filled with the rustling of fine robes as the Ministers rose to their feet, their eyes fixed on the majestic figure of Emperor Augustus.
“Long live his highness!” they chorused in unison, their voices echoing.
Augustus nodded graciously, his eyes scanning the room as he made his way to his throne. The Ministers followed suit, retaking their seats as the Emperor settled into his throne.
“So, what is the purpose of this meeting?” Augustus asked.
One of the Ministers, a tall and slender man with a wispy beard, stood up. “Greetings, your highness. We gathered here today to discuss the preparations for the coronation.”
Augustus nodded, his eyes narrowing slightly. “Yes, the coronation. It will be held in five days’ time, as planned.”
The Minister nodded, his eyes darting to the others before returning to the Emperor. “Yes, your highness. However, according to tradition, you and the soon-to-be Empress, Aurora, will not be allowed to see each other for the last three days before the coronation.”
Augustus’s eyes darkened, his brow furrowing in concern. “Three days? Can’t it be changed to just one day?”
The Minister hesitated, his eyes apologetic. “I’m afraid not, your highness. The law is clear on this matter, and it has been so for centuries.”
Augustus heaved a sigh, his shoulders sagging slightly. He knew the tradition well, but the thought of being separated from Aurora for three days was unbearable. He had grown accustomed to her presence, her smile, her laughter. The thought of not seeing her for three days was a punishment to him.
“Very well,” he said finally. “The preparations should start immediately…………..”
Jade cautiously approached the field, her eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of Louis. She had been searching for him everywhere, but he seemed to have vanished into thin air. As she peered into the field.
“Where could he be” she wondered.
Suddenly, she heard a voice behind her, making her jump in fright.
“Looking for me?” Louis asked, his eyes gleaming with amusement.
Jade’s heart raced as she turned to face him, her eyes locked onto his. “Why did you scare me like that?” she muttered, trying to hide her fear.
Louis chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to. Were you looking for me?” he asked, his gaze piercing hers.
Jade hesitated, her eyes darting away before returning to his. “No, I was just…watching,” she lied, her voice barely above a whisper.
Louis raised an eyebrow, his eyes narrowing slightly. “You’re lying,” he said “I can sense it.”
Jade’s eyes flashed with defiance. “No, I’m not,” she insisted.
But Louis just smiled, his eyes glinting with knowing. He took her hand in his, his warm palm sending shivers down her spine. Jade felt a spark ignite within her, her heart racing as she gazed at their interlocked hands.
“Let me take you somewhere,” Louis said, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “Somewhere special” he smiled and she smiled back as he took her away.
Atlas was chained to a pole in the dark dungeon, his body filled with blood, his hair was scattered all over his face as his breath was slow and faint.
Someone entered the dungeon turning out to be Caeser.
“Look, Someone got caught!!!” Caeser chuckled silently.
“Cae….ser”.
“If I had joined you in fighting him, I’ll have been caught up too” He muttered.
“I’ve got my own plans already, this time. They won’t escape it” Caeser smirked as Atlas fell unconscious.
Suddenly, the light in the dungeon went on and Caeser looked around surprised.
His eyes landed on Augustus and Queen Nana standing at a corner watching him.
His froze for a seconds his eyes widening, he attempted to run away but he can’t move.
What the……??
“So you are the one” Emperor Augustus muttered.
“Yes I am…..” Caeser replied boldly and Augustus let out a dark smirk.
“I joined the guards in this palace all because of Revenge, your father killed my sister unjustly” Caeser protested and Augustus raised his brows.
“Which of your sister” He asked.
“You might not know her but your father did” Caeser spat.
“Who is she” Queen Nana asked.
“You don’t have to know..”
“Then you’ll end up like her…….guards” Augustus called loudly and they rushed in immediately.
“Your highness”
“Take this traitor and hung him on the rails, now” He ordered and they nodded.
“Ahhhh, noooo, please spare me” Caeser screamed as the guards take him away.
Emperor Augustus wanted to leave but Queen Nana held him back.
“Son!!!!” She called, her eyes filled with pity.
“What is it Mother” he asked.
“Don’t kill Atlas, I didn’t know he can do such to you” She pleaded.
“You’ve given him high hopes ever since he was young mother, you should have thought of it before telling him about it, now he is obsessed with the throne” Augustus explained.
“I know it my fault but please Son, for my sake don’t kill him just send him to the Afterlife instead”
“How do you think he’ll learn his lesson” Augustus asked.
“He might, if the Goddess forgives him. She can send him back to us, please son” She pleaded and Augustus nodded.
“Fine” he muttered and Queen Nana smiled.
He opened his palms and blue flames erupted from it forming a large portal, he removed the chains from Atlas body and pushed him into the portal as it sucked him up completely.
Queen Nana had tears in her eyes as she watched Atlas being sucked up unconsciously
“It okay Mother, let go” Augustus Muttered and took Queen Nana out of the dungeon.
Aurora entered the chamber to meet Sapphire in front of her mirror.
“Bestie, come here” She smiled gesturing for Aurora to come closer.
Aurora approached her and Sapphire made her sit.
“You shouldn’t be stressing my God-son Aurora” she muttered and Aurora chuckled.
“Would you like some” Sapphire stretched some apples towards her but she rejected it.
“No, I don’t have an appetite” Aurora said feeling irritated with the smell.
“Okay, lemme tell you a secret” Sapphire whispered sitting beside her.
“What could it be” Aurora asked feeling eager to hear it.
“We did the couple thing last night” Sapphire blurted and Aurora eyes widened as she covered her mouth with her hands.
“Don’t tell me you guys…….”
Sapphire quickly covered her mouth to stop her from being loud “don’t say it out” Sapphire said and Aurora clamps her lips together nodding.
“Sapphire….”
“Don’t say it” Sapphire cut her off.
“I’m not saying anything” Aurora snapped.
“What do you want to say”.
“You are a bad girl, Sapphire……..you are still young” Aurora said.
“No I’m not, I’m Nineteen now” Sapphire muttered boldly making Aurora laugh.
“I’ll tell the Emperor about it” Aurora mumbled.
“Noooo, No stop it Aurora. I’ll tell him about it soon not now” Sapphire muttered and Aurora nodded as they continued chatting loudly.
Aurora was walking towards the stairs alone down to her suite with a smile on her face, she felt a presence at her back and she stopped looking back but saw no one.
“Who is there” she said loudly but everywhere was silent.
She turned front and continued then she heard footsteps, she looked back again but saw no one.
“Am I hallucinating, or are my ears malfunctioning” she muttered inwardly.
She walked closer to the stairs when she heard footsteps again, she turned back and saw no one
“This is weird”.
Just as she was about to climb the stairs, she felt a hand pushed her and she fell. Her eyes widened as she rolled down the stairs landing on the ground.
She suddenly felt a sharp pain gripped her in her tummy and she screamed “Ahhhhhhhhhhh”.
She breath repeatedly and looked up to see blood coming out of her thigh.
“Oh….No..” She screamed and fell unconscious in her own pool of blood.
