CHAPTER 43 & 44 : Love Amid Danger
“Why are you still here?” Jerry snapped at Hannah, as he noticed how Hannah was gawking at him.
“Huh?”
“Aren’t you going to leave?” Jerry asked, clearly looking annoyed.
“Sorry sir” Hannah replied, and left the room, closing the door behind her.
Jerry continued his work on his laptop, typing away when his phone chimed, he picked it up from the bed, next to him and glanced at it.
It was a text from Evelyn,
~I’m on my way right now, we finished quite early.
He smiled, tossing the phone back on the bed, he sighed tiredly and closed the laptop. He got up and mistakenly his hand hit the juice, making it tip over, all the content poured on the floor as the glass shattered into tiny bits.
Some of it poured on his pants do he walked into the bathroom to clean up.
Few minutes later, he came out and was about to leave the room to call Hannah to clean up when she walked in, only wearing a g-string pantie and a white bra. She thought Jerry had already had the drink.
“Are you mad?!” Jerry yelled, furiously as Hannah pushed him on the bed.
She hovered over him and tried to kiss him but he pushed her off and she fell hard on the floor.
“What’s wrong with you?” Hannah groaned, standing up.
“I should be asking you that! Have you finally gone insane?!” Jerry yelled.
“Stop trying to fight it. I know you want me!” Hannah said, seductively coming closer to him.
“If you come closer to me, I swear I’ll kill you. I ain’t joking” He muttered, meaningfully.
She ignored his warning and strode to him, she kissed him but only for a few seconds because Jerry was able to push her so hard, her back met with the wall roughly.
Just then the door opened and Evelyn walked in with a smile but as soon as she looked around her smile dropped.
“Jerry. What’s happening?” She asked, looking at Hannah, half naked and laying on the floor.
“Oh, gosh….” Jerry sighed, this getting more complicated, how’s he going to explain this?
“Jerry, please say something. What’s happening?” She asked, getting more alerted.
“I’m also confused, she came in here like this and she tried to…..” Jerry paused, with a sigh.
“Hannah” Evelyn called, turning to face her. Hannah was already on her knees.
“Ma’am, it was a mistake, I swear I didn’t mean to…..” Hannah pleaded, her eyes turning red and puffy.
“Shut the fúck up! Pack your things and get out, I’ve had enough of you!” Jerry yelled, angrily.
“Sir, please. I really need this job, please” Hannah pleaded, crawling closer to hold Jerry’s leg.
“I won’t want to repeat myself twice” Jerry warned.
“Sir, I have a little sister at home. She’s seriously ill and she’ll die if she doesn’t get treatment” Hannah cried.
“How’s that my business!” Jerry snapped.
“Calm down” Evelyn said, holding Jerry’s hands.
“What? Can’t you see she’s lying?” Jerry asked.
“How would you know? We can talk about this rationally” Evelyn said, trying to calm him down.
“What’s there to talk about? She’s was trying to seduce me and you want us to talk about it!?”
“I don’t mean that. You need to calm down first” Evelyn said and faced Hannah. “You can leave” Evelyn muttered and Hannah stood and left the room.
“How gullible can you be?!” Jerry asked, harshly.
“Stop shouting at me” Evelyn said, in the same tone.
“I’m not shouting but you’re taking this too lightly” Jerry sighed.
“I didn’t say she was right. Calm down, we go downstairs and talk about it, and she’s not going to live here….. That’s for sure” Evelyn muttered.
~NEXT MORNING~
As the lecturer walked out of the hall, a student walked up to Amelia.
“The chancellor is calling for you in his office” A girl stated.
“Me?” Amelia asked, pointing at herself.
“Do I look like am talking to anyone else?” The girl snapped and walked away, rolling her eyes.
Amelia stood up, and made her way to the chancellor’s office, wondering why the owner of the school is calling her.
When she got to the office, she knocked after hearing ‘come in’ she walked in, closing the door behind her.
Her mouth flew open when she saw Jaden sitting comfortably, swinging the chair around, playfully.
“What are you doing here?” She asked.
“It’s my office” Jaden replied, with a smirk.
“Your office? Don’t tell me you bought the school” Amelia muttered.
“I did baby girl” He replied, and her eyes widened.
“Why?” She asked immediately.
“I want to be closer to you at all times” Jaden replied.
“You want to be closer to me and you bought the school? What’s wrong with your head? Do you even know how to handle a school? Where did you leave your brain?! Are you….” She paused when she noticed him staring at her with a light smile.
“What?” She asked.
“I miss you, won’t you at least give me a hug” He stood, spreading his arms.
“I have to go” She muttered, turning to leave but the door was locked, she pulled the handle again. It wasn’t opening.
“Jaden, open the door” She snapped.
“Calm down, you’re not going anywhere, until you eat something” He muttered.
“I don’t want to eat, open the door, I don’t want to be late for class” She shook her head.
“Brother told me you haven’t been eating much since I left, you were always skinny but you’re becoming so lean, the wind might blow you away” He chuckled.
“Are you mocking me?!” She snapped.
“Am not, baby. I want to take care of you a little bit, please and anyway I already cancelled your next class” He said.
“I’m not hungry” She mumbled.
“But you didn’t eat this morning” He said, standing up then he made her sit on his seat.
“How do you know?” She asked.
“I just know” He replied, plainly.
He picked up a bag from the table and opened it then he squat in front of her, trying to feed her chicken wings.
“I don’t want to eat” She mumbled, lowly.
“Open your mouth or I’ll shove it into your throat” He muttered, and she slowly opened her mouth.
He gently fed her, wiping her lips with his thumb anytime the sauce stained her.
He wanted to start a conversation with her but it’s harder than he expected, when he was done feeding her, he gave her a bottle of water and she gulped it down.
“Thank you but I want to leave” She said and he sighed.
“Don’t you want to say anything to me?” He asked and she shook her head.
“Seriously? Don’t you want to hit me and beat me up for leaving you?” He asked, coming closer to her, she didn’t move at all, she stood still on the spot till he came really close to her, so close that his scent was already messing with her brain.
“I really miss your lips, please give me a little kiss” He said, hoarsely, pulling her waist to himself.
He started leaning in to kiss her, it took everything in her to push him away, she really want to kiss him but not right now. She won’t easily forgive him.
“What’s wrong?” He asked.
“I want to leave, I have something important to do” She said, Jaden simply nodded and used a remote to unlock the door.
She turned and left the office immediately.
When the school was over for the day, Amelia came out to find Jaden leaning on his car, waiting for her.
She tried to walk pass but he held her hand.
“Let me drop you home” He offered.
“I’m not going home, I’m going to the restaurant” She replied, releasing herself from his grip, she walked away.
“I can drop you at the restaurant” He said, following her from behind.
“Don’t bother” She replied, still walking away.
She kept on walking, she didn’t notice Jaden behind her until she reached the restaurant.
“What are you doing here?!” She snapped.
“I…. I want to order something, I’m a customer” He muttered, walking pass her, he walked into the restaurant and took a seat.
She sighed and walked in too, she quickly donned herself in an apron and began her work, while Jaden was watching her.
Soon he raised his hand, signalling her to come over, which she did.
“What?” She asked.
“Don’t be rude, I want to order something” He said, looking into the menu and she sighed.
“Go ahead” She replied.
“I want clam chowder, corned beef, chicken and waffles” He said, dropping the menu.
“Anything else….” She asked and he shook his head, she took a step to leave and he called her back.
“What?!” She snapped, angrily.
“I want pizza and cheesecake…… You know what, just forget all that and get me a glass of water” He said and she immediately left so he wouldn’t call her again.
She went into the kitchen to get him a glass of water when Jones walked up to her.
“Dear, can you please handle the cooking, the cook said, he won’t be able to make it” Mr. Jones said and Amelia nodded.
She started cooking, her hair was getting in the way and it was frustrating, suddenly someone came from behind and tied her hair into a bun.
She turned and saw Jaden behind her, he was wearing an apron.
“Why are you here?” She asked.
“I’m working, I told Mr. Jones that I’m your boyfriend and I wanted to help and he agreed” Jaden said.
“Please leave, you’ll only make matters worst and you can’t even cook” She sighed.
“I can, I learnt how to cook” He replied.
“Really?” She asked almost smiling.
“Yes, I want to be cooking for you when we get married”
“What makes you think I’ll get married to you?” She asked, with her hands on her waist.
“Well, you love me. Don’t you?” He asked, pulling her to himself.
“I… I… I don’t love you” She shuttered, looking anywhere but at him.
“Look into my eyes and tell me that” He whispered and she bursted out in laugher.
“That’s cheesy” She said laughing, hard.
“Finally, I made you laugh” He smiled.
“Can I steal a quick kiss?” He asked, before she could process what he just said, he crashed his lips on her and she instantly melted.
She gripped him for support as she kissed him back hungrily, he soon broke the kiss so she could breath.
“Why did you do that?” She hit his chest.
“Because I wanted to, you liked it right?” He teased and her face turned red.
“Hey! What have you done!” Jones’s voice snapped them back into reality, and they noticed the food was completely burnt that the pot had turned black.
Jaden immediately held Amelia’s hand, pulling her away so she wouldn’t inhale the smoke.
“Look what you did, you distracted me and the food got burnt” She said with a pout as they walked out of the restaurant.
“I’m going to lose my job because of you!” She sighed.
“I can buy the restaurant for you” He replied, seriously.
“No, don’t worry” She replied, immediately.
“I hope you’ve forgiven me” He said, holding both her hands, her hands felt so small and warm in his that it made her smile.
His heart warmed at her pretty smile.
“I’ve not forgiven you yet” She said and he frowned.
“Why?”
“Because I don’t think you’ve received enough punishment” She said.
“You being mad at me is the worst punishment” He replied sincerely, pushing his lips forward in a pout.
“I’ll still have to punish you a little but don’t worry, it won’t be that much….” She smiled and he pulled her into a hug.
“My little Angel” He growled, into her ear.
“Won’t you call me little @ss anymore?” She asked.
“Nope, your ass increased quite a lot” He smirked and spanked her.
“Are you mad?” She gasped, looking around making him chuckle.
“Do you want to see my house?” He asked and she nodded.
“If it isn’t up to my taste then you’ll have to change it” She said.
“Yes ma” He replied.
“I’ll get your bag, stay here” He went into the restaurant and grabbed her bag.
As he came out he saw two men dragging her into a van, Jaden quickly ran after them but they already closed the van and drove away in full speed.
CHAPTER 45 & 46 : When the Heart Hurts
“What the fúck!” Jaden cursed, as he ran after the car, he wasn’t fast enough, the car kept drifting further and further away.
He saw a man standing next to a bike, he pushed the man aside and hoped on the bike, roaring the engine, he zoomed off as the man yelled at him to return the bike.
Right now Jaden was deaf, the only thing in his head right now was Amelia. He gripped the bike handle tightly as he chased after the car, driving like a madman.
Someone is definitely gonna die today, because if he doesn’t spill blood he’s not gonna rest, and if she gets as little as a scratch on her skin then the world is going to understand what it means to be crazy.
Meanwhile Amelia was being tortured inside the car, the two men were touching her inappropriately not minding her screams or begs.
One of them even slapped her so hard she almost passed out, she kept on crying, begging them to stop as they groped her.
“Please….. Stop, leave me alone!…. Please” Her screams were like music to their ears, it kinda encouraged them to do more, they enjoyed her weak punches and her fading screams.
“Not right now, boss said we can have her after he’s done” One of them said, stopping the other one from ripping her clothes.
“What have I done to you? I don’t even know you! Please let me go!…… Please” Amelia cried, harder as a heavy slap landed on her cheeks.
The other one grabbed her neck and slammed her head on the window, her blood splashed on the window, she felt lightheaded as she almost slipped into darkness.
At this point, she didn’t have the strength to talk or scream, she kept on moving her lips, silently calling one name.
“Jaden,…..” Her eyelids shut as heat welled up at the corners.
“Look the princess passed out” One of the men chuckled.
Jaden didn’t blink once as he followed the car, his eyes not leaving the car for a second as he grip tightened, his veins popping out at the thought of how scared she might be.
Suddenly the bike slowed down coming to a stop entirely, the fuel tank was empty!
What the fúck! Not right now!
He quickly got off the bike, running after the car on foot but that was fruitless, the car was too fast but he wouldn’t give up even when he could see the car fading, he kept running until he didn’t know the direction the car took.
He stopped looking at the slip road, which path is he going to take?
Not far from where Jaden had stopped, the car came to a halt, the men dragged Amelia’s unconscious body into an abandoned factory, the smell of wood and oil rented the air.
Few minutes later, Amelia opened her eyes, she was in a dark room, her face stung so bad from all the hits she had received, she slowly tried to move her body only to find out she was tied down on a bed.
She started wriggling her body, trying to get the robes loose but it was useless, they were as tight as fúck. Her eyes darted through the pitch black room.
“Who’s there?” Amelia asked, her voice laced with fear.
“Somebody help me!” She cried, trying again to lose free.
“Jaden! Someone! Help me!”
The lights suddenly turned on, it was so bright she had to close her eyes and open it again so they could adjust to the light.
“Hello daughter” Daniel said, sitting on the bed next to her, as he slowly caress her cheeks.
“You? Why did you bring me here?” Amelia asked.
“I brought you here to fulfil destiny” Daniel smirked, and Amelia gulped as she looked around the room.
She was surrounded by so many men and they were staring at her, why are they staring at her like that?
She slowly looked at her body and noticed she was almost naked, she was only wearing her bra and panty. What happened to her clothes!
She tried to cover up but her hands were chained to the bed and her legs were chained apart, are they going to…… She shook her head, nothing will happen to her, Jaden will definitely come for her.
“I thought …..you are my dad, what did I do to you to …make you hate me this much?” She asked, her voice cracking so much.
“I hated you before you were even born, you’re offence is being a girl, I wanted an heir, a precious boy but your stupid mother gave me a useless daughter just like her” Daniel growled, tightly fisting Amelia’s hair.
“Please you’re hurting me ….” Amelia whimpered, her scalp hurting so much as Daniel pulled her hair tighter.
Daniel chuckled, “I’m sure you know, you’re a product of a one nightstand” Daniel said and paused as he let go of Amelia’s hair.
“After the one night stand, your mother found out she got pregnant, her parents threw her out of the house and she ran to me because she knows she couldn’t take care of you alone……” Daniel paused again, he picked up a knife and trailed it down her laps, cutting her flesh, blood escaping through the cut as she cried.
“I tried to chase your mother away but she wouldn’t listen, she kept on persisting I take care of the baby and I told her I wasn’t interested. My wife was already pregnant with a child, I was sure it was a boy but I was wrong, on that delivery day she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl which I brutally killed the same day by cutting her body into tiny bits…..” Daniel sneered, as he dug the knife deeper into Amelia’s lap.
“Your mother then lied to me that you were a boy, her plan was to run away with you after delivery, she used me, she made me pay for all the expenses, and I stupidly paid for everything thinking she would give me an heir but instead she gave me a useless girl!….” Daniel yelled, angrily as he stabbed the knife into her lap, she cried in pain but that only made Daniel’s heart leap in joy.
“She ran away with you but I swore, i would kill you……” Daniel finally finished.
“Before I finally kill you, it’ll be very amazing to watch these men have their fun with you…..” Daniel smirk as he stood up from the bed.
He sat a seat a little far from the bed, as he poured a glass of wine for himself.
The men approached Amelia with lustful eyes, one of them climbed the bed and ripped off Amelia’s bra and panty in the most harshest way possible leaving her body completely exposed.
“Please don’t do this! Let me go, please!!!!!….. Ahhh” Amelia cried, as one of the men hovered over her, he was already naked and ready to bury himself into her.
She felt the pain, she really felt it!
The man mercilessly shoved his cóck into her, she gasped as her screams died down in her throat, she couldn’t feel anything only pains….. pains and pains….. It hurts so much.
He was about to start thrusting when a force pulled him away from behind, the man fell on the floor with a loud thug.
Jaden! …. He looked mad, crazily mad like he wanted to rip everyone in the world apart.
Jaden teeth clenched as he started at Amelia’s powerless body, she was naked, blood dripping from her córe, she couldn’t move, her eyes were shut tight and sweat was filled on her body as if she was poured a drum full of water.
Anger was an understatement for what Jaden felt at that moment ……. He was enraged, indigent, infuriated, he was mad!
All eyes on him, as he picked up a sheet from the floor and covered Amelia’s body, she didn’t open her eyes, it was still shut closed and she wasn’t even making a single movement or sound.
As Jaden properly covered her, he turned facing the men, he scanned their faces as if recording it into his brain.
A deranged smile appeared on his lip as the men charged at him, the first one that got to him received stab right in the heart, Jaden used a pen to stab him so deep.
The man fell to the floor lifelessly bleeding straight form his chest.
Jaden eyes were filled with rage as he killed all the men brutally, some even tried to run but who could escape a madman, Jaden killed each one of them except Daniel.
Daniel still had a calm look on his face as Jaden approached him, he dropped his glass of wine and stood as Jaden stood in front of him.
“Amelia……” Daniel swallowed his words as a punch met with his face sending him to the ground.
“Run….” Jaden commanded in a raspy voice making Daniel give a confused look.
“Let’s play hide and seek, shall we? You hide and I come find you but be warned if I find you, I’ll end you worst than the devil can imagine” Jaden muttered, with a smirk.
“Go” Jaden said and Daniel slowly stood.
“Go hide” Jaden hushed and Daniel took to his heel, without looking back he ran out.
Jaden turned to Amelia, his gaze softening as she watched her motionless body with her eyes closed, he untied the ropes and held her closely to himself, she wasn’t unconscious but her eyes weren’t opened either.
“Little Angel, open your eyes…” He whispered but she didn’t, her eyes were tightly shut as she fisted his shirt in her small hands.
“I’m sorry for coming late, but I’m here now. I won’t let anyone hurt you” He muttered but she still remained quiet, he gently bundled her up in his arms, heading for the door after he used the sheet to properly wrap her body.
He got to the car and tried to make her sit inside but she wasn’t willing to let go, so he had to carry her on his laps as he drove home.
As his eyes were focused on the road, Amelia slowly opened her eyes. She looked up at Jaden for a few seconds before burying her face in his chest again.
As soon as Jaden’s car stopped in front of his mansion, he got out, carrying Amelia into the house.
He walked into his room and headed straight for the bathroom then he dropped her into the tub filled with water after removing the sheet from her body.
Her eyes were watery and teary as she watched him, cleaning her up.
She opened her mouth to speak but she couldn’t, her throat hurts.
When Jaden was done cleaning her up, he carried her to the room and placed her on the bed, she watched as he brought out a hoodie and sweatpants from his closet then he dressed her up.
She was still seated on the bed as he came and sat next to her, pulling her into a comforting hug.
“Say something” He urged, stroking her hair.
“He hates me because I’m a girl” Amelia sniffled.
“He’s not worth your tears so stop crying” He muttered, cleaning her tears but they kept coming nonstop.
“Is it wrong to be a girl?” Amelia asked, facing Jaden properly.
“It’s not. Don’t you dare think less of yourself because you’re a girl. You’re beautiful and I love you that way….” He whispered, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear.
“If you were a boy, I’ll definitely be gay” He added and she laughed lightly, hitting his chest.
“Always be smiling like this for me, mmm?” He said and she nodded, hugging him tightly.
“I love you….”
“I love you more” He replied and she immediately broke the hug.
“That’s a lie, I love you way more than you love me” She said.
“Words can’t describe how much I love you, you came into my life and changed me so much. Now I can’t imagine my life without you. You have my heart, always….. You light up my world in ways I could never imagine” He confessed and she felt her heart swelling that it could almost burst out of her chest.
“You’re the best!!….” She shrieked as she jumped on him, making him lay flat on the bed with her on top.
He wrapped his hands round her waist as he stared into her bright beautiful eyes.
He had intensionally let Daniel go, if he had killed Daniel right there…. He won’t be satisfied. Daniel deserves a painful death and that’s exactly what Jaden is going to give him. He’ll beg for death till he can’t take it anymore.
“What are you thinking about?” Amelia asked, arching her brows.
“Nothing, are you hungry?” Jaden asked and she nodded.
“Yes but I don’t want to eat right now. I want to stay like this for a while, I’ve missed you too much” Amelia placed her head on his chest as she slowly closed her eyelids.
A warm smile creeped Jaden’s lips as he stroked her hair. It doesn’t matter, what anyone thinks about him as long as she loves him it’s enough for him. she too fragile for everything she has gone through, from now on anybody who tries to hurt her will suffer till their last breath.
He doesn’t care anymore, he’ll kill for her, he’ll become the devil for her….. All for her!
Xavier was buttoning up when soft hands wrapped his waist from behind, he stopped and turned to face Ashlyn, she had a beautiful smile on her face.
“Hubby….” Ashlyn called, sweetly.
“We aren’t even married yet and you’re calling me hubby, but I like it though” Xavier chuckled.
“I can’t wait to tell everyone….” Ashlyn gushed, admiring the ring beautifully placed on her finger.
“I can’t wait to fully make you mine, we’ll go around the world, just you and me. Would you like that?” He asked.
“I would love it” She smiled, as he pulled her closer to him by the waist.
“My parents would like to meet you” Xavier stated and she blinked.
“Your parents?”
“Yeah, don’t worry. We’re cool now, we talked after the divorce and we decided to patch thing up. We’re good now” He said.
“When are we meeting them?” She asked.
“We can go tonight, if you want” He said and she shook her head.
“Not tonight, I’m not ready. I’ll have to go to a salon to get my hair done and…. and …….” She started panicking and Xavier shut her up with a kiss.
Soon he slowly broke the kiss and cupped her cheeks.
“I thought you were not scared of anything” He chuckled.
“I’m not scared. I’m just worried, what if they don’t like me” Ashlyn mumbled.
“You’re perfect. Stop worrying, I’m sure they’ll love you just as much as I do…..” He said and she smiled.
Hannah slowly packed her bags, after they had a discussion this afternoon, they decided she would leave the house and they also gave her a huge amount of money.
Her plan of getting Jerry was just ruined, she has been working for him for almost a year and she loves him so much but he doesn’t even look at her. All because of Evelyn, if she wasn’t in the picture, she would have gotten Jerry by now.
Hannah dropped her bag on the bed and left the room, even if she’s going to leave this house she’ll definitely kill Evelyn!
She has been planning to kill Evelyn for a long time but she could never bring herself to do it, but it seems like now is the time, if she can’t have jerry then neither can Evelyn.
She went into the kitchen and brought out some yogurt, Evelyn has a habit of drinking yogurt a lot.
She poured some whitish substance into the yogurt, then she firmly closed it and placed it back into the fridge.
She rushed to her room, quickly took her bag and left.
Evelyn held Jerry firmly as he carried her on his back down the stairs.
He dropped her on he couch and sat next to her.
“You’re getting weighty…” Jerry chuckled.
“Really?” She pouted.
“Yes, my backbone felt like it was gonna break” Jerry said earning a fling on his forehead.
“Stop that, it’s painful” Jerry sighed, rubbing his forehead.
“It isn’t that painful…” Evelyn said and flung his forehead with her finger again.
Jerry was about to grab her and she stood, running away.
He kept on chasing her around the house until she began to feel dizzy, she almost fell but he quickly caught her.
“Are you okay?” He asked and she shook her head.
“Not really, I feel dizzy” She mumbled, as he guided her back to the couch.
“I haven’t had my yogurt yet” Evelyn said, Jerry went to the fridge and took it out with a spoon.
He opened it walking towards her, then he sat next to her.
He tried to feed her but nausea hit her, she almost threw up there but she held it back.
“I think we should visit a doctor” Jerry suggested, his voice laced with concern.
“I’ll be back” She stood up and rushed into the closet bathroom she could find.
Meanwhile Jerry sighed worriedly, he looked at the yogurt in his hand, he has never tried yogurt before, he wasn’t a fan of sweet things but he decided to try it now.
He took a spoon from it.
Meanwhile Evelyn threw up everything in her stomach, she washed her face and went back into the living room.
Her eyes widened as she saw Jerry laying on the floor, blood was coming out of his mouth and ears.
“Jerry!”
CHAPTER 47 & 48 : A Love Worth Fighting For
Amelia still had her head on Jaden’s chest and he had his hands wrapped around her waist, they’ve been in this position for almost thirty minutes and Amelia wasn’t moving, is she asleep?
He began feeling hot liquid on his shirt, he slowly lifted her head and saw that she was crying.
“Why are you crying?” He asked, softly as he made her sit on the bed.
“It’s nothing. Am fine” She mumbled, cleaning her tears with the back of her hand.
“Stop lying. you’re getting me worried” Jaden sighed.
“It’s just that,….I didn’t want to think about it…. I wanted to ignore it but ……….. He did it and down there hurts so much!!! and …..and ..I feel dirty….” Amelia cried, burying her face in her palms.
“Angel, Look at me” He said, trying to pull her hand away from her face but she didn’t want to so he let her go.
Seeing her like this makes him feel like going back there and killing that stùpid man over and over again.
“It was my fault for coming late. Am sorry” He said softly, and she removed her hands from her face to look at him.
“I’m tired of seeing you broken and hurt all the time, it hurts me so much so please, stop crying” Jaden added, as he wiped her tears again.
“You probably don’t want me again” She sniffled and he cupped her cheeks.
“I don’t love you any less because of what happened. My love for you won’t change, I promise” He whispered as he slowly captured her lips, in the most passionate kiss ever.
She kissed him back but almost immediately he broke the kiss because of a rumbling sound.
“I swear it wasn’t me” Amelia denied but her stomach made the noise again and he smiled.
“I’d cook but it seems like you can’t wait, I’ll order something” He said as he took his phone from the table.
“What do you want?” He asked.
“Tomato sandwich, cookie pudding and ice cream” She said and he smiled.
“I’ve ordered it, let’s go wait” He lifted her up and carried her to the living room then he sat down with her on his laps.
Her hands went to his silky black hair, she began playing with it, tangling her fingers in it.
“How’s school?” He asked, staring at her.
“It’s really stressful but am coping, but I have a problem with one lecturer, Mr. Eric, he stresses me a lot and his assignments are always difficult…….” Amelia sighed.
“Should I fire him?” He asked, plainly.
“What?”
“I own the school now, so I can fire him” Jaden said and Amelia sighed.
“Don’t fire him. Don’t you think it was stupid of you to buy a school, I mean what are you going to do with it? Do you even know how to run a school?”
“When I bought the school, I wasn’t even thinking about all that, I just wanted to be close to you” He said and her cheeks turned red, slightly.
“Whenever you blush, you look like an overripe tomato” Jaden whispered, and her cheeks turned a deeper shade of red.
She buried her face in his chest, so he wouldn’t see her flushed face.
His phone suddenly rang and he fished it, a frown settled on his face after he took the call.
“What’s wrong?”She asked, noticing the look on his face.
“I need to go to the hospital now….” He muttered, as he carried Amelia off his laps and made her sit.
“Why?” Amelia asked.
“Something happened to Jerry,…. Ashlyn, Xavier and Evelyn are there. I have to go” He said.
“I want to come with you” She said, standing up. she lost her balance, almost falling but Jaden held her firmly.
Apart from the ràpe, Daniel had also stabbed her on her lap, he already treated it but it would still hurt a lot.
“I’m sorry, you can’t walk around, you’ll only make the pains worst” He said trying to convince her.
“Do you want to leave me here all alone? I can’t stay on my own, I’ll be scared” She muttered.
“I’ll take you home, you can stay with your mom and you can also eat there…..” Jaden said.
“But I want to go with you, Evelyn will……”
“Please. try to understand, you’ll only make it worst for yourself” He said and she nodded, slowly.
~JORDAN’S HOME~
Jaden walked into the house carrying Amelia in his arms, the moment he walked in all eyes fell on him.
“Amy, where have you been?” Vera asked, worriedly.
“I was with him, sorry I forgot to call” Amelia replied, as Jaden placed her on chair.
“Are you alright? What happened to your leg?” Elizabeth asked.
“Uhm, I have somewhere to be right now, I’ll be back soon” Jaden said, and quickly left.
Vera sat next to Amelia and stared at her for some seconds before speaking up,
“Your eyes are red. Did you cry?” Vera asked and Amelia nodded.
She explained everything that happened to her and how Jaden saved her, Vera was already in tears when she was done.
“Am sorry, it’s my fault” Vera cried and Elizabeth patted her back.
“It’s not your fault, and done worry am fine” Amelia smiled, lightly as she hugged her.
“Am hungry” Amelia mumbled.
“I’ll cook for you” Elizabeth said, standing up.
“No, I want to eat my mommy’s food” Amelia said and Vera smiled, kissing her hair.
~HOSPITAL~
As Jaden walked further into the hospital, he could already spot Evelyn, Ashlyn and Xavier.
Evelyn was sitting on the floor, crying while Ashlyn squat next to her consoling her.
Jaden walked straight to Xavier, who was leaning on the wall.
“What happened?”
“He was poisoned, they’ve been in there for almost two hours” Xavier said with a sigh.
Soon the doctor walked out and everybody rushed to him.
“How’s he?” Evelyn asked, impatiently.
“I’m sorry but we couldn’t save him, the poison was quick to get to his heart and………..”
The doctor was cut short as Evelyn pushed passed him and ran into the ward, where she saw Jerry laying lifelessly with a white sheet covering his body.
She broke down into tears again as she slowly approached him.
“Jerry….” She called, shaking his body.
“Please don’t leave me!…… Please come back!!!” She cried, shaking his body more violently.
Ashlyn held her and pulled her away from Jerry while she kept struggling.
“Let me go! He’s not dead, this is a useless hospital. How can they say he’s dead? Let me go…… No, he can’t just leave me like that!!” Evelyn yelled and Ashlyn grabbed her shoulders.
“Eve, he’s dead!” Ashlyn yelled and she froze for some seconds.
The words pierced and broke her heart into a million pieces, how could he just die like that? How could he just leave her like that?
“Evelyn…..” Ashlyn called sharply, as Evelyn fainted in her arms.
Xavier called the doctor and she was immediately taken to another ward to get checked on.
“How is she?” Ashlyn asked, as the doctor walked out after her check-up.
“Well, she’s fine but she needs to take care of herself and the baby or it might cause some complications during delivery” The doctor said.
“What baby?”
“Don’t you know she’s three weeks gone?”
“I didn’t know…..” Ashlyn mumbled.
“I’ll be back” The doctor said and left.
•HOURS LATER•
“Good day sirs” A police man greeted as he approached them.
“Can we help you?” Xavier asked.
“A murder case was reported, someone was poisoned, we want to investigate” The police man said.
“The only person able to answer your question is his girlfriend, but she’s unconscious right now. You can come back later” Jaden said. the police man nodded and left.
“I’ll check on her….” Ashlyn said and left, as she walked into Evelyn’s ward she gasped as she saw Evelyn holding a knife.
“Lyn, what are you trying to do!” Ashlyn asked, coming closer.
“Don’t take a step further. I…… I’m going…. to kill myself” Evelyn cried, gripping the knife tightly.
“What are you saying! Put the knife down!” Ashlyn scolded and Evelyn shook her head.
“How can I live without him, if I die I can go meet him……” Evelyn said, about to stab herself but Ashlyn’s voice stopped her,
“You’re pregnant!”
“What?” Evelyn asked, bringing the knife down.
“You’re pregnant with Jerry’s baby” Ashlyn said, the knife fell from Evelyn’s hand as she squat on the floor, crying.
“How could he leave me all alone! And what about his child, he left both of us!” Evelyn cried.
“A test was conducted, it was the yogurt that was poisoned. Think of it this way, he saved you and your baby, if he didn’t drink the yogurt then you would have drank it, he saved you and his baby’s life” Ashlyn muttered, holding Evelyn as she cried.
~MILLER’S MANSION~
Ben has been pacing up and down the house, trying Sam’s number but the number was switched off, he even visited sam’s house this morning only to find the house totally locked.
Where did Sam go?
“Honey!” Stella yelled, running down the stairs.
“Don’t add to my anger!” Ben sighed, looking pissed.
“I thought you said Jaden was dead?!” Stella asked.
“What sort of question is that? Of course he’s dead, he died two years ago!” Ben replied, harshly.
“Then what on earth is this?!” Stella snapped, showing him a magazine.
His mouth flew open when he took a look at the magazine.
“He’s one of the youngest Los Angeles billionaires!” Stella yelled.
“It might be a look alike. Sam finished him off two years ago!”
“Don’t be dumb, his name is right here….. Jaden Miller!” Stella snapped, showing him where Jaden’s name was written.
“Seriously? So Sam has been decieving me all this while!” Sam sneered, folding his fist.
“If he’s alife why hasn’t he come for you, you’ve not been hiding so it would be easy for him to find you” Stella’s said but Ben remained quiet.
“What are you going to do about it?” Stella asked.
“Shut up, I need to think” Ben snapped and Stella sighed.
“You better think fast, I’m not in to receive another beating!” Stella said, folding her arms.
“I’ll have to finish that idiot myself!” Ben muttered, with a smirk.
By the time Jaden left the hospital it was already close to midnight, he stepped out of the car as soon as he pulled up in front of Jordan’s house.
He knew the pin so he inputted it and walked into the house, the lights were turned off so he assumed everyone was asleep not until the lights suddenly turned on.
Vera was the one who switched it on, she walked over to him with an apologetic look.
“Good evening ma” Jaden greeted and Vera replied with a nod.
“Can I talk to you?” Vera asked.
“Sure” Jaden replied.
“I want to apologize for with I said to you two years ago……..”
“It’s fine, I’ve already forgotten about it” Jaden replied, immediately.
“It’s not fine, I shouldn’t have acted that way or said those things to you. You’ve always been helping and protecting my daughter, I’m really greatful” Vera said, sincerely.
“You don’t even need to thank me, I’ll do anything for her. I truly love her” Jaden said and Vera smiled.
“She’s already asleep but you can go see her, she’s in her room” Vera said and Jaden immediately left.
When he got into her room, he frowned as he saw her turning around, sweating and mumbled incoherent words on the bed.
Jaden quickly rushed to her, and held her.
“Angel, wake up!” He said, shaking her slightly until her eyes flew open with a gasp.
Her breathing hard and heavy as she hugged him tight.
“Was it a nightmare?” He asked and she nodded, still hugging him.
“Calm. I’m here now” He said, stroking her hair.
“I was waiting for you” Amelia mumbled.
“Sorry, It was kinda messy in the hospital” Jaden replied.
“What about Jerry? Is he fine?” Amelia asked, breaking the hug.
“He’s dead” Jaden stated and she gasped.
“What! how? What about Evelyn? is she fine?” Amelia asked, in a rush.
“He was poisoned and Evelyn will be fine, she’s also pregnant” Jaden said and she sighed.
“It must be so hard for her” Amelia mumbled.
“She cried a lot but she’ll definitely be fine” Jaden smiled.
“But who poisoned him?” Amelia asked.
“I don’t know, the police went to him house to look for evidence, I’m sure they’ll find something soon” Jaden replied.
“I hope so”.
“I really missed you a lot” Jaden mumbled, kissing her cheeks.
“Really?” She asked and he nodded.
“How much did you miss me?” She asked, childishly.
“This much…..” He said, spreading his arms wide.
“That’s too small” She faked a frown.
“How do you want me to show you how much I miss you?” He raised a brow.
“You can show me by giving me a big kiss” She whispered, he smiled as he stared at her for almost a whole minute, she was beginning to think something was wrong with him.
“What?” She smiled, parting her lips, he immediately leaned in and captured her small lips.
The kiss was much rougher than anyone there ever share, Amelia was deeply lost in the kiss she didn’t realize when he slid something on her wrist.
He soon broke the kiss and that was when she realized he had slid a charm bracelet her wrist.
It was a sliver Tiffany charm bracelet, it had small decorative unicorns, rainbows and heart shaped pendant as decorations.
Her lips fell open as she looked at the bracelet then at him.
“Jaden you……”.
“Will you be my girlfriend, little angel?” He asked, cutting her off.
“Say please” She said and he chuckled.
“Okay. Will you please be my girlfriend?” He asked and she jumped on him.
“Of course, you didn’t even need to ask” She said, kissing his cheek repeatedly.
“So, it’s a yes?” He asked just to confirm.
“It’s a big yes!” She gushed.
“I can’t wait to start making babies” Jaden muttered with his eyes closed.
“I only agreed to be your girlfriend and you’re thinking about making babies” Amelia shook her head in amusement.
“That’s all I can think about right now” He whispered.
“You’re a pervert” She whispered back and he chuckled.
“I know” He said, stroking her hair as she closed her eyes, sleeping off.
