Chapter 49 & 50 : A Race Against Time to Save Diva
Reggie crazily reversed the car, stepped on the accelerator and ran him over.
“Reggie!”
“Adrian!” The girls screamed in horror.
He began grinning like a dêvil as he watched Lord Finley through the side mirror.
Lord Finely fell on the ground with a loud thud and the men rushed to him.
They kept getting blocked by mobsters and Reggie kept on running them over.
The girls can’t even keep their eyes open anymore.
It’s a horrible day!
He took them to his mansion.
Diva is cold by everything that has took place today.
She’s shivering in fear.
“We’ll be out soon” Reggie told Ruby.
She simply nodded in response.
She’s terrified too.
“Poo Bear, calm down” Reggie told her, carrying her in his arms.
He climbed the stairs.
“Water” Ruby muttered, rushing to the kitchen to get water to drink.
“Get some rest” He said, laying her on the bed.
“I’m scared, Adrian” Diva finally broke her silence.
“I’m here” He smiled stroking her hair.
“How did you survive? The clan’s torturer told me that you got burnt” She held his hands and he sat beside her.
“I want to know everything, Adrian. Everything” She sniffles.
“I thought I was going to dîe for real, you know?” He chuckled softly, stroking her face, wiping off the make-up on her face in the process.
“What’s this?” He muttered, noticing a bruise on her cheek.
No response.
“Wanna speak or I force it out of you?” He threatened with dark eyes.
She opened her mouth to speak.
“Remember to say everything” He told her.
“I got tortured severely, Adrian. Ruby did something and I even got punished for it”
“Lord Finley is a monster. He was going to make me a s-x worker then I’d get sold” She sniffled.
“My back is…..” She sobbed.
“Hold on” He got up and carried her in his arms, entering the bathroom.
He stripped her under the shower until she was stark naked.

“I don’t even know what to say, right now. How could he do this to you?” He sobbed.
“How could someone be so heartless and inhumane?” He sniffles.
“They must hurt a lot, right?”
She nodded.
“I’m sorry, Poo Bear. All these happened cause of me” He sobbed.
“If only I didn’t fall in love with you then this wouldn’t have happened”
“What are you saying, Adrian?” Her voice broke at the edge.
“Should we just part ways? I hàte seeing you like this, you know?”
“I’m not leaving you, Adrian. We belong together” She hugged him.
“What if we don’t get a happy ending, Poo Bear? Please understand” He pulled away.
“Stop saying that, Adrian. We’ll get a happy ending” She held his chest.
“And if I dîe?”
“You’re not dying, Adrian. No one is dying” She said in a rush, crying.

“Shhhh” She placed a finger on his lips.
“You’re not dying, got it?”
“I’m not dying then” He smiled lightly.
“You’re not dying. Stop spitting jargons”
“Okay” He smiled.
“Stop scaring me with such jokes, Adrian” She hugged him.
“I want us to get a happy ending” She sobbed.
“Me too” He mumbled silently, under his breath.
AN HOSPITAL*
Lord Finely is in the intensive care unit (ICU), being operated on.
The head doctor came out of the ward.
“He’ll be on a wheelchair for a while” The doctor told Aurelio then went away.
“What?” His eyes widened.
GIRL’S DORM*
Jocelyn looks pale AF.
“Do you want everyone here to dîe?” Izzy sobbed.
“Please don’t do this, Jocelyn” She added.
“I’m so scared right now” Mira muttered.
“Jocelyn, say something” Angelina wiped his tears off.
Just then, Savage phone rang.
It’s an unsaved number.
“Hello?” He muttered.
“Diva’s with me” Reggie said.
“Reggie?!” He gasped.
Jocelyn rushed to him and literally snatched the phone away from him.
“Is Diva with you? Is she fine? Where are you? I wanna see her. Is she there with you? Has she eaten? When did you find her? Where did you see her? Are you on your way here? Are you here already? Are you at your lounge? Are you at the dorm? At the gate?” She asked in a rush, crying already.
“Calm down, Jocelyn. Your Diva is fine but she’s asleep” He replied.
“I feel so relieved” She sobbed and Sterling took the phone from her.
“Do you even care about us at all? How could you do this to us? You disappeared into thin air and now you’re calling Savage instead of me? Do you know how much I cried?” Sterling sobbed.
“Jealous dîckhead. My Poo bear is asleep, I don’t want to wake her up”
“Okay Bye” The call got disconnected.
Everyone jumped up in excitement, Jocelyn exclusive.
“But we haven’t seen them yet” She said.
“Reggie wouldn’t lie to us” Rhett replied.

“Sit back down and let me go get you something to eat” Angelina smiled at her.
“Just take her home with you instead” Beauty suggested.
“True” Everyone agreed.
“Will you follow me home?”
“Yes” She shyly replied.
“Whoa!” Everyone chorused, making her shy.
“Let’s pack your bag” He said, walking over to her wardrobe.
“Am I spending the weekend at your place?”
“You’ll stay at my place til you regain back your lost weight” He replied, packing her bag.
“I’m jealous” Savage said dramatically.
“Who’s going to take me home? I lost weight too” Izzy chuckled.
“Shall we spend the weekend together?” Savage faced her.
“Am I the only one feeling single here?” Sterling chuckled.
“You’re not alone bro” Kim replied.
“Acquaintances” They fist bumped.
“Let’s go” Angelina said and left the room with Jocelyn.
“Shall we leave too?” Savage asked Izzy.
She scanned the room before giving a nod.
“Please excuse us” He told everyone, leaving the room.
“Kim and I will gladly excuse you guys now” Sterling laughed, holding hands with Kim.
Just then, his eyes and that of Beauty’s met but he looked away.
Kim and Mira’s eyes met and she eyed him.
“Let’s go, new found friend” He took Kim away.
Rhett and Beauty exchanged glances then he left the room.
“Hey, what’s up with you two? You guys have been awkward since two days ago”.
“He doesn’t have feelings for me like I thought and the saddest thing is that, I already pushed Sterling away”
“Try getting close to him again”
“Nah, I’ll just let whatever flows, flows and whatever crashes, crashes”

“And Sharon?”
“I’m done with her. I think I might be becoming straight”

“Who did this miracle?” She added.
“Kim” Mira replied calmly.

“Here” Reggie encouraged Diva to eat more.
“I’m fed, Adrian” Diva whined.
Ruby smiled watching them.
She’s eating too.
“Don’t you like it?” He asked her.
“You know you’re cookings are the best” She smiled.
“Then eat more so you can take the painkillers and get some sleep”
“But I just woke up….

“I’m fine as long as my Poo bear is okay” He smiled.
“Awwn but please eat” Diva pouted.
“Feed me” He pouted.
“Poo Bear at your service” She replied, feeding him.

“It’s tastier, right?” She grinned.

“When did you start asking for permission?” She laughed.
“Just felt like it” He replied as she fed him again.

They began laughing.

Reggie and Diva are on the bed, kissing.

Students ran away immediately Reggie and Diva alighted from the car.

Reggie and Diva exchanged glances then laughed.
“Baby!” Jocelyn rushed over to them and hugged Diva tightly.
“Husband!” Arabella was rushing to Reggie when Savage and Sterling pushed her away to hug him.
She fell on the ground.
Bluey and Tiffany secretly laughed before rushing to her.
“Who the fvck put up these annoying posters?” Reggie pulled away.
“My one and only baby boy” Sterling cried, hugging him again.
“Sweetie!” Izzy rushed over to them.
“My Diva!” Mira rushed to them.
Angelina, Beauty and Rhett rushed to them.
Rhett and Reggie’s eyes met but no one looked away.
“Welcome back, bro” Rhett mouthed and he smiled lightly in response.
“Pal” Kim called calmly walked to them and Diva turned.
“Brownie!” She beamed.
“Kim” He smiled and they almost shared a hug.
Kim remembered Reggie’s words.

They began laughing, making everyone confused, Reggie exclusive.
He already knows the cause of it.
“Please put down these posters” He said and they nodded.
“Let’s go, Poo bear” He held her hand.
“Hey Reggie” Arabella blocked their way.
Everyone rolled eyes, cussing under their breaths, Tiffany and Bluey inclusive.
“Hey” He replied awkwardly.
“I’m glad you’re back. I felt so scared that I was never going to see you again” She sniffled.
“Okay, got it? He’s back now. Excuse us” Diva chirped.
Reggie smiled, planting a kiss on her hair.
“Excuse Reginald and I, Arabella. We have an unfinished business, if you understand what I mean” She smirked.
Arabella threw a glare at her.
“Hey, don’t glare at my girl” He warned calmly.
“But she…..
“Out. Out of our way” He ordered.
“Reggie, shouldn’t you be at least nice to me for once?” She faked tears.
“Reginald” Diva pouted.
“Hmmm” He faced her.
“My lips” She hugged his neck.
“They are missing you” She gave him puppy eyes.
“Really?” He cupped her cheeks.
“They do. A lot”.
They connected their lips, kissing warmly.
RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER!
“Whoa!” Everyone chorused.
“What?” Arabella’s eyes widened.
“Water” Beauty hissed.
“Let them be, Ara. Reggie can never be yours and will never be” Mira mocked.
Students around burst out in laughter.
“Will you excuse us now, or should Reginald and I do more in front of you?” Diva said, breaking the kiss.
“Get out of the way, pathetic bîtch!” Izzy pushed her.
She once again fell on the ground.
Diva and Reggie simply walked away, arm in arm, not giving an F about her.
“Hey, let’s get to work” Angelina told them and they started putting down the posters.
Other students joined them too.
Chapter 51 & 52 : Love Tested by Fire and Blood
“You haven’t said a thing to me on how Ruby and you found me and how you survive. You were shot right in front of me” Diva said from Reggie’s lap.
“You should eat more” Reggie said feeding her more food.
“Don’t try to change the topic, Adrian. It won’t work today. Not today”.
“I know and I’m not changing the topic”.
“So, spit it out. I’m listening”
“Remember when you were on your way to the library? An hour before you got kidnapped”.
“Yeah…..”
“She told you that there was something on your hair, right?”
“Yeah…..”
“It was a lie. She put a tracker in her hair”.
“What?!” Her eyes widened.
“Apparently, she overheard Dad-My bad, I meant Mr Finley speaking to Aurelio over the phone about kidnapping you and making you beg for dêath”.
“She didn’t know how to tell me about it, so she decided to put a tracker in your hair, just incase anything happened”
“I paraded the whole place city, searching for you while, I was trying to relax my head and think of possible places where I could find you. She called and informed me about it”.
“We met up at a bus-stop and headed to the warehouse”
“Okay…..But the gunshot and everything” She hugged his neck.
“To be sincere I never thought Mr Finley would never pull the fvcking trigger” He rolled eyes.
“That’s humans for you” She replied, resting her head on his shoulder.
“My dad and I share a bad blood cause he sold me to a mafia king and I became something I never imagined that I’d become”

FLASHBACK STARTS*
Henry has been stalking Reggie, looking for the perfect opportunity to appear in front of him and talk things out….If he’d want to talk things out after drûgging him and making him unconsciousness for two days.
He hasn’t picking his calls neither is he replying his messages.
He made to lit a stick of cigarette when he sighted Reggie driving out of the school.
He immediately followed him but kept a distance though…..
He trailed Reggie til they got to the warehouse.
He parked his car at a distance.
He dipped his eyebrows when he saw that everyone came out except Reggie.
“Isn’t that Stewart’s daughter?” He muttered when he saw Diva.
Lord Finley, Diva’s dad (Stewart) and Henry were all working for the Mafia king back then.
But he was only a common mobster or rather thug, back then before Lord Finley became the Mafia king and he started working under him too, since he inherited the clan.
“And Ruby too”
“Then where is Adrian?” He wondered.
He rushed out of the car immediately they zoomed off.
“Adrian!” He froze on the spot when he saw Reggie laying lifeless on the ground.
“Look at me, Adrian!” He shook his body.
“Please don’t do this. Your mom is going to cry a lot, think about her, please” He cried.
Reggie didn’t move.
He picked up Reggie’s phone then carried him.
He was almost approaching the exit when Aurelio arrived.
“Who are you?” Aurelio asked.
“His dad” He replied, walking away.
He took Reggie away and mobsters arrived with kegs of petrol.
“Lord Finley said to burn this place down” He announced.
“Okay!” They chorused before getting to work.
“I hope he’s fine” Aurelio said in his head.
He was blindly carrying out Lord Finley’s orders but when he pulled the trigger at Reggie.
He had a second thought about the whole thing.
If he could kîll his pride, the guy who sacrificed his childhood, youth and life to help expand his empire, what would he do to him a mere right-hand man?
HOSPITAL*
Reggie was laid on a stretcher immediately he was brought in.
“What happened to him?” The doctor demanded.
He’s Reggie’s mom.
“He was shot” Henry replied.
“What were you doing? Why would he get shot instead of you? What are you still doing on the surface of the earth? You useless prîck!” She blurted.
“I’ll fvcking murder you if anything happens to my son, got it?” She went away.
She hàte him for selling Reggie in exchange of getting a heart surgery.
She went to search around for the money and by the time she returned….He already handed over Reggie to Lord Finley.
And before they could say Jack Robinson, Reggie and Lord Finley were out of the country.
She had miscarriage for their second child due to the shock and they parted ways after that.
MIDNIGT*
Reggie’s mom is seated beside Reggie, stroking his hair fondly.
She already removed the bullet from his chest but he still hasn’t regained consciousness.
She’s as worried as fvck.
She’s his mom anyways.
The last time she saw him like this was 14 years ago.
He was just eight years back then…. When he was handed over to Lord Finley, and he got trained to fight and kîll.
And all that was needed to be known as a member of the Mafia.
FEW DAYS LATER; MORNING*
“Diva” Reggie muttered unconsciously.

“Don’t go” His head moved sideways as bead of sweats formed on his temple.
“Please Diva” Tears rolled down his cheeks.

His mom coincidentally came in at the time.
“Adrian” Her eyes flooded with tears.
“How long have I being unconscious for Mom?” He asked, already climbing down from the bed.
He shares a good relationship with his mom.
She was infact the first person he searched for when they returned back to the country.
That was four years ago.
When she told him everything and about her miscarriage too.
That made him hate his dad more.
He was hoping to come see his mom and younger sibling together but sadly, his younger sibling didn’t even get the chance to come to the world.

“Here” She fetched it out of her jacket pocket.

Reggie sighted his dad outside of the hospital.
“Hey, your car key” He said.

That was Reggie even noticed that he was not putting on the clothes he wore on the day he got shot.
“I guess I should say thanks too for selling me off?” He replied sassily.
“Here. Take it before you start with your tauntings” Henry pointed his car key at him.
“Thanks” He said, taking the key from him.
“I’m not saying thanks for saving my life. Don’t be delusional” He said then walked away.
“He’s so rude, petty and cold” Henry chuckled.
“Let me go meet that petty woman of a doc before she nags at me for breathing” He laughed, entering the hospital.
“Where’s Adrian? Did he tell you where he’s heading to?” She panted.
“Not at all”.
“How could you let him leave? You’re so……
She angrily marched back into the hospital.
“She’s so temperamental” He muttered, holding his chest.
ON THE HIGHWAY*
Reggie just switched on his phone.
They are numerous messages from Aurelio.
- Are you awake, Reggie?
- I know you’re mad at me but it’s not my fault too. I have to carry out his orders else…..You already know what you’ll happen to me and I have a sick mother to take care of.
- Come take Diva away from here.
- Lord Finley only used you to expand his empire. I’m so shocked.
- Aren’t you awake yet?
- Come to the clan.
- Diva is going to become a s-x worker today.

“Yeah…. Kinda” She smiled.
“I’m twenty six”..
“And I look thirty when I’m just twenty two” She laughed.
“Not really” He pinched his nose bridge.

“I’m sorry about the last time”.
“Stop apologizing for that. It was my fault kinda….. for not locking the door and I told you to come in myself”

“I’m famished, Kim” She yawned.

He returned with two hamburgers and a can of sprite.
“How do you know exactly what I was craving for?” She chuckled, taking the tray from him.

A blush crept on his cheeks.
“I approached Diva to get to know more about you but then Reggie came to take her away”
“Wow, I feel special” She grinned.
“Of course you are” He replied bluntly.
She stopped grinning and they locked eyes.
“His eyes are so beautiful” Mira said in her head.
“She’s so pretty” Kim said in his head.
Mira first looked away, breaking the eye contact.
“Here. My meal card” She pointed her meal card at him.
“It’s fine. I’ll pay for your lunch”
Her mouth widened with a smile, bashing her eyelids trying to process something.
“What do you want Kim?” She smiled.
“What do you mean?” He feigned innocence.
“You look at me in a certain way and speak calmly to me too…..And now you’re paying for my lunch too” She replied in a rush.
“You really want to know?” He leaned closer.
Her breaths paused.
“Why aren’t you saying a thing?” He licked his lips.
“Yeah, I want to know why you’re so sweet towards me” She muttered, releasing her breaths.
“I won’t stop once I start explaining. I’m quite straight forward” He replied then left the counter.
He took the tray from her and dropped it on a table nearby.
He crashed his lips on hers.
Her eyes widened but she wasted no time in reciprocating the kiss.
He lifted her up and placed her on the counter, still kissing her warmly and hotly too.
“Mmmm” She moaned, playing with his brown curly hair.
His hand went to the back of her neck, deepening the kiss.
She parted her lips and he slid his tongue inside her mouth, fvcking her throat with his tongue.

There’s no one in the cafeteria…..so they have the little privacy they need.
Sharon came in.
She almost spoke but then walked away in hurt.

Chapter 53 & 54 : Reggie’s Final Gamble for Love

Stewart and Rocky (Lord Finley’s daughter) are in the basement.
Rocky’s eyes widened as she stared at the valuables in there.
“We should leave the country after selling some of this” Stewart said.
“Why didn’t you tell me about…..” She covered her mouth in shock.
“You are Lord Finley’s daughter, aren’t you?”
Her eyes widened.
“Shouldn’t you kîll me now? You’ve finally seen where I hid them”
“I found out about your true identity, two years ago” He smiled.

“Sounds rich hearing that from you, Stewart!” She laughed..

“You took advantage of the fact that she loved you and used her to successfully escape from the clan! And the country too!”
“You deceived the foolish woman, got her pregnant then kîlled her!”
“I did that cause you asked me to!” He defended.
“Hello? Excuse you? I never asked you to! I only said to get rid of her not kîll her! You could have parted ways instead of eliminating her!”

“Yeah, I always saw you on the rooftop or under the shower at times…..crying silently”.

“Where are you always here?” Bernie asked Sharon.
“The parkers mansion is for you. Go there please” He added.
“Get up, Sharon” He sat on a couch with a loud thud.
“I’m feeling blue, don’t get be started please….” Sharon finally broke her silence.
“What happened?” He asked in concern.
“Mira has moved on” She replied sadly.
“But you told me, she said, she doesn’t like you anymore”.
“True but it hurts……

“You were fvcking with Reggie, weren’t you? And you’re expecting her to still be waiting for you? The days of Romeo and Juliet are over. Wake up”.
“I caught her kissing a guy” She sniffled.

“Don’t you miss your parents?” He changed the topic.
“I do…..” She replied sadly.
“If you survived the trauma of watching them taking their last breaths in that car accident then believe me you’ll be fine”
She faced him.
“It’s a miracle, you survived, you know?” He said calmly.

Sharon’s parents were working for Bernie’s family before their demise.
So after their demise, Sharon got adopted, and ever since then she’s being treated as a daughter of the family.
“I still remember them vividly. My gardener dad and my maid mom and their little daughter, Sharon going on a family trip for Christmas and destiny took it course” She sniffled with a light smile.
He then got up, settled beside her then hugged her.
“You’ll be fine, Sharon”.
