“What assistance Jemimah”. Lucy asked worriedly.
“I… I will tell you later but I.. I need.. some.. money”. Jemimah said.
“Okay.. I..”. Alex said.
“I will help you”. Jackson cuts in.
“Why will you help me”. Jemimah said.
Lucy and Alex just glared at each other, they were wondering what is wrong with Jackson.
Up
“I will help you and if you need my help just tell me or you can tell me if you don’t”. Jackson said.
“I.. I need your help please, it is urgent”. Jemimah pleaded.
“Okay, you can come to my house tomorrow”. Jackson said and he left the scene.
“He will help you okay, don’t worry. Now cheer up”. Alex said.
“Yes cheer up, I will come and visit your mom today”. Lucy said.
“Okay, Thank you so much guys, am really grateful”. Jemimah said.
“You are welcome”. Alex said.
They went to class and after some hours, they were done with class, so Jemimah and Lucy went to the cafeteria. They were busy eating when Rose came in.
“Hey, come here”. She called for a Waiter, the waiter came running right to her.
She ordered her and a juice but when the waiter gave her her order, she looked at the juice and then.
“What is this huh”. Rose shouted now, now all attention was on her including Jemimah and Lucy.
“I gave you what you ordered ma”. The waiter replied.
“Really, “. Rose said and she pour the drink on the waiter.
👥: What!
🗣️: Now, she’s done for.
👥: She shouldn’t have done that.
🗣️: That’s good for the waiter.
Jemimah just watched as people commented, she wanted to do something but she got something wrong with her, so she didn’t get the urge.
“What do you think you are doing “. The waiter said.
“Doing what you deserve, now gerrout of here”. Rose said. She stood up in anger and left the cafeteria.
“That was rude of her”. Lucy said.

Alex and Jackson was in the library discussing, they were talking about Jemimah.
Do you really plan on helping her”. Alex said.
“Yes, I know she cured me and I mistreated her lately, I wanna make up”. Jackson said.
Alex wondered, there was something in him telling him that it not true.
“Hmmmm okay, that’s good”. Alex said.

Alice is walking out of the class when she bumped into some one again.
” Not again”. Adam said.
“You again?” Alice said.
“You love bumping into people right ?” Adam said.
“Not people but you alone, now let me go”. Alice said.
“Won’t you apologise?” Adam said.
“Really, for what. You are the one that is supposed to apologise”. Alice said.
“Well, I won’t unless….”. Adam was cut short by a girl that called his name.
“Adam!” Gloria called.
“Hi”. Adam greeted.
“What are you doing here and who is this”. Gloria said.
“She’s…”.
“Am Alice Maxwell”. Alice introduced.
“So you are the founder’s daughter”. Gloria said and Alice just smiled.
“Let’s go Adam”. Gloria said holding Adam hand. They left and Alice chuckled.
“Bunch of fools”. Alice said and she walked off.

Alex and Jackson were walking out of the library when they saw Jemimah and Lucy walking out of the college, they walked up to them.
“Come to my house after you are done”. Jackson said.
“To do what”. Jemimah asked.
“For the money of course”. Lucy said.
“Oh.. thanks”. Jemimah said nonchalantly and Jackson walked out.
“Thanks Alex”. Jemimah said.
“You’re welcome”. Alex said.
✓ Later in the day, Maxwell Mansion✓
Jemimah Walk in to the house and she net Jackson sitting at the dining table.
“Hey”. Jemimah said.
“Welcome”. Jackson said.
“Now, you’re really gonna help me?” Jemimah said.
“Yes, don’t you believe”. Jackson replied.
“I do”. Jemimah said.
“I will help you but on one condition”. Jackson said and Jemimah furrowed her brows.
“At what that “. Jemimah said.
“You will have to repay me”. Jackson said.
“Repay?”. Jemimah said.
Chapter 19 & 20 : Personal maid
✓ Maxwell Mansion ✓
“What do mean I will have to pay you back”. Jemimah asked.
“I will give you money and you will give me something in return, simple”. Jackson said.
“And what that”. Jemimah asked.
For a while there was silence in the room before Jackson continued.
“You will have to be my maid, personal one at that”. Jackson dropped the bombshell.
“What! Your maid?” Jemimah said.
“Yes, you don’t have to do much just take care of me and serve me right and except for the money am going to give you now, I will pay you for your service”. Jackson explained.
Jemimah didn’t know what to do, on the other she wouldn’t choose to be this brat maid and other hand there’s her mom who need serious help.
“Um, you will give me sometime to think about it”. Jemimah finally said.
“Sure, no problem. Now.. leave”. Jackson said backing her.
Jemimah turned and she left the house still thinking of the condition Jackson gave her.

Jemimah walked into the house, she didn’t meet her mother. She went to the kitchen and prepare some noodles. Then she received a phone call.
📞: Hi. Lucy said over the phone.
📞: Hello. Jemimah replied.
📞: So, what did Jackson said. Lucy asked.
📞: He.. he said I. I should be his personal maid. Jemimah said.
📞: What! How can he say that, I thought he hate you. Lucy said.
📞: I wonder why but I would do anything for my mother. Jemimah said.
“What will you do for me”. Mrs Jubel said as she entered.
📞: I will call you back later, bye. Jemimah said.
📞: Sure, bye. Lucy said and they hang up.
“Answer my question”. Mrs Jubel said.
“Mom, it’s nothing actually”. Jemimah said.
“Really, you think you can lie to your mom?” Mrs Jubel said.
“Mom, I sought some help from one of my colleague and he gave me a condition”. Jemimah said.
“What condition is that”. Mrs Jubel said.
“He told me to.. to be his personal maid”. Jemimah said.
“What, who’s he”? Mrs Jubel asked.
“He is Jackson Maxwell”. Jemimah said.
“Maxwell? The son of that Rich man, the college you are attending?” Mrs Jubel said.
“Yes Mom”. Jemimah said.
“Really, accept it Jemimah”. Mrs Jubel said.
“Okay mom, I will do anything for you”. Jemimah said.
“Am sorry, I couldn’t do anything for you, and if he do anything wrong to you please let know”. Mrs Jubel said.
“Sure mom, thanks”. Jemimah said.

Jemimah was walking to the library when she bumped into Jackson.
“Oh, have you think about it”?. Jackson said.
“Yes, I have”. Jemimah replied.
“And what is your decision”. Jackson asked still frowning.
“I accept it”. Jemimah said.
“Good, start work immediately”. Jackson said and he left.
“Now, I have to work for this Raf”. Jemimah said and she also left.

Alice entered the school and she almost bumped into some again, this time it was a girl.
“Oh am sorry”. Alice apologise.
“Keep your sorry to yourself Alice, what’s were you doing with Adam the other day”. Gloria said.
“I only bumped into him and I apologized”. Alice said.
“Oh really, stay from him”. Gloria warned.
“What do you mean”. Alice said.
“You know what I mean”. Gloria said and she left.
Alice just hissed and went to class, she met her friend Olivia.
“Hey, where were you”. Olivia said.
“I was on my way and I bumped into someone”. Alice said.
“Oh okay, let’s settle down for class”. Olivia said.
✓ Maxwell college: Cafeteria✓
Lucy and Alex were waiting for jemimah and Jackson for the result.
“Hey, where’s your annoying friend”. Lucy said.
“Mind your tongue Lucy”. Alex said.
“Oh really, I was just asking a question”. Lucy replied.
Jemimah walked in with a sad face.
“What wrong?” Lucy asked.
“Nothing, hi Alex”. Jemimah said.
“Hello, how are you doing”. Alex said.
“Good”. Jemimah said.
Jackson walked in too.
“Hi guys”. Jackson said.
“So, she agreed right”? Alex said.
“Yes”. Jemimah said.
“Start your work tomorrow okay?” Jackson said.
“Okay”. Jemimah said.
“Use boss”. Jackson said. Jemimah and Lucy glared at him.
“Okay boss”. Jemimah said.
Chapter 21 & 22 : Plan

“Okay boss”.
“Good, now I think we are done here right?” Jackson said.
“Yes, let’s get going”. Alexander said.
Jackson and Alexander left the cafeteria, Jemimah and Lucy were busy discussing when Ellis walked in.
“Hi”. Ellis said.
“Hello”. Jemimah replied.
“Hey, am Ellis”. Ellis said to Lucy.
“Lucy”. Lucy replied.
“Are you done here Jemimah”. Ellis asked and Jemimah looked at him.
“Yeah, but…”.
“I would like to take you somewhere”. Ellis replied.
“Where”. She asked worriedly.
“I will tell you later, bye for now”. Ellis said and he stood up.
“Okay, bye”. Jemimah said.
“And before I forget, can I have your number?” Ellis asked.
“Yeah sure”. Jemimah gave him her number.
“Thanks”. Ellis said and Jemimah only smiled.
Ellis left the cafeteria and they also left for class.

“I hope you all got today’s lecture”. The lecturer said.
“Yes,”. the students chorused.
“Remember that next week is your project and they will be grouped, am I clear?” The lecturer informed.
“Okay sir”. The students chorused.
“Am leaving now”. The lecturer said and he left the class.
People started moving out of the class too, while Jemimah, Lucy, Alex and Jackson remaind in the class.
“Hey, I have to go now, don’t wait for me, go home okay?” Jemimah said.
“Where are you going”. Lucy asked.
“To Ellis”. Jemimah replied and Lucy mouthed an OH.
“Where to Jemimah”. Alex asked.
“Am going to meet a friend”. Jemimah said.
“Sure but remember you start work today and immediately, Now”. Jackson said.
“What, you couldn’t even gave me some times, I promise to by night”. Jemimah said.
“Money or no money”. Jackson said.
“Is he blackmailing me”. Jemimah thought.
Jemimah picked up her phone and sent a message to Ellis saying that She won’t be able to come again.
“Fine”. Jemimah half yelled.
✓ Rodriguez house✓
Ellis Came out of the bathroom and he saw a message on his phone.
“She won’t come, oh no but why. Maybe something important came up, some other time is there”. He dropped the phone and smiled.
“She’s cute and beautiful”. Ellis thought. He was cut short by a knock on the door.
“Come in”. Ellis said to whoever it’s was, Rose made her way in.
“Hey, are you going out”. Rose said seeing her brother all dressed up.
“Not anymore”. Ellis replied.
“Okay, Mom will soon be back”. Rose informed.
“That’s nice, can’t wait to see her”. Ellis said.
“Bye”. Rose said and she went out of the room.
✓ Jemimah house✓
“Mom, am back”. Jemimah said.
“How are you dear”. Mrs Jubel said.
“Yes but I need to eat before I go to Maxwell Mansion”. Jemimah said.
“Sure, I prepared some food”. Mrs Jubel said and Jemimah went to the kitchen and she start eating.
Mrs Jubel watched her sweet innocent daughter, she didn’t wish for her to be someone’s maid but she didn’t have choice.
“I love you dear”. She spoke out.
“Same here mom, I will take care of myself, don’t worry too much. You know your daughter is not a kind of person who people can play dirty with”. Jemimah said.
“Sure, you’re strong so I trust you”. Mrs Jubel said.
“Now, let’s me eat”. Jemimah said as she continues eating.
A message popped up on her phone, she took the phone and checked the message, it is Alex.
📱: Jackson want you to be quick. Alex typed.
📱:Yes, am on my way. Jemimah typed.
📱: Make it fast. Alex typed.
📱: Thanks. She typed.
She dropped her food and she hurried to her room, she got dressed and went back to the sitting room.
“Mom, I might not come back early”. Jemimah said.
“No problem, take care, bye”. Mrs Jubel said and she pecked her.
Jemimah ran out and wave to a car. She arrived at Maxwell Mansion and she ring the doorbell. Ellis was passing by when he saw her.
“So this is why she couldn’t come to me, but what’s she doing here”. Ellis wondered.
✓ Maxwell Mansion✓
Jemimah rang the doorbell and Alice opened the door, she was suprised to see her.
“What are you doing Jemimah”. Alice said.
“”I called her, any problem?” Jackson said and he walked to them.
“No, come in”. Alice said. Jemimah entered the house.
“I will show you your room come”. Jackson said and Jemimah followed suit.
Jackson came back to the sitting room and Alice asked him
“What is she doing here brother”. Alice asked.
“She’s my maid, personal maid”. Jackson said.
“What! What if Dad and Mom learn about this”. Alice said.
“I don’t care, good night”. Jackson said and he went upstairs.
✓ Rodriguez mansion✓
Rose was talking to Kate, she talked and Rose brought up a topic.
“I entered my brother’s room today and I saw him looking sad”. Rose said.
“Really, but why”. Kate said.
“I know it because of that Jemimah”. Rose said.
“Why would you say that”. Kate asked.
“He have been thinking of her lately, I won’t let him develop any feeling for her i promise”. Rose said.
“What Will you do now”. Kate said.
“Just watch it”. Rose said she smirk.

Jemimah entered Jackson’s room and she was marvelled at the magnificent room. It has a king size bed, and he has a light on which made the room looked black. The room looked nice from the aroma.
“You called for me”. Jemimah said.
“Set my bath”. Jackson said.
Jemimah shot him a glare, how can he give her such a task, he could do that himself.
“Can’t you hear me”. Jackson said.
“Okay… Boss” . Jemimah said.
“I have a plan”. Jemimah said with a plan on her mind.
Chapter 23 & 24 : Resemblance

Jemimah entered the bathroom to set Jackson’s bath, she marvelled at the bathroom, it was even big and shinny. She looked around for the shower tub, she add the soap. She wanted to come out the bathroom and Jackson walked, they almost bumped into him.
“Sorry, it was a mistake”. Jemimah quickly said.
“Watch where you go Parrot”. Jackson said.
“Parrot, me. Am not a talkative so why calling me a parrot. I don’t like that name, if I am parrot then you are a Raf”. Jemimah said.
“Wow, I told you that you are a parrot but you argued. You talk too much, by the way what’s the meaning of that Raf”. Jackson said.
“Well, Raf means Rude, Arrogant fellow”. Jemimah said, she quickly Walk out the bathroom but she lost her balance and she wanted to fall but Jackson was quick to hold her.
Jackson held her waist and hold her hand, they locked eyes and continue looking at each other. Jackson quickly snap out.
“I told you to watch your steps”. Jackson said angrily.
“Hey, it was not my fault”. Jemimah said.
“Really, then it’s my fault, now let me bath in peace. Go to your room and I will call you when I need you”. Jackson said.
“Whatever”. Jemimah murmured before leaving the room.
✓ Alice’s room ✓
Alice was getting ready to sleep when a message popped up on her phone.
“Huh, who is this”. She thought.
📱: Hi. The person typed.
📱: Hello, who is this. Alice typed.
📱: Am Adam Connor, the boy you bumped into the other day. Adam typed.
📱: Oh you, how did you get my number. Alice typed.
📱: From Olivia. Adam replied.
“Olivia?” Alice thought.
📱: Which Olivia. Alice typed.
📱: Your friend of course. Adam typed.
“Really, Olivia gave him my number”.
📱: Oh okay, talk to you later. Bye.
She dropped her phone and gave Olivia a call, she picked it up immediately.
📞: Why did you give Adam my phone number.
📞: Adam?
📞: Don’t act like you don’t know Olivia.
📞: Am sorry, but he insisted.
📞: Oh no.
📞: Am sorry.
📞: It okay, bye.
She hung the call, and some one knocked on the door, she opened the door to see that it was Jemimah.
“Hi, hope am not disturbing you”. Jemimah said.
“No you are not, come in”. Alice said.
“Thanks, you have a nice room”. Jemimah said.
“Thanks”. Alice replied.
They sat on the couch and Alice asked her a question.
“Why are you here Jemimah”. Alice said.
“Huh”. Jemimah said.
“I mean in this house, did my brother force you. Am sorry if that’s the case , my brother have been in…”.
“No, he didn’t force me. I came to ask for a job on my own will”. Jemimah lied.
“Are you sure, hope you are comfortable”. Alice asked.
“Yes, I am”. Jemimah replied.
Alice received a text message from Jackson saying that Jemimah’s attention is needed.
“Oh, my brother needs your attention now. Please be careful, he is somehow Rude”. Alice said.
“You don’t have to tell me he is Rude, I know that already bye”. Jemimah said and she went out of the room.
“I wonder what he is calling me for again”. Jemimah thought.
She got to his room and knocked, but he didn’t respond. She just pushed the door open.
“You called for me”. Jemimah said.
“My parents are going to be back tomorrow, you should know how to behave yourself and remember that you are only my maid but everyone’s maid, am I clear”. Jackson said.
“Okay”. Jemimah said.
“Okay?”. Jackson said.
She sighed and she wished she could give a super punch right now.
“Okay boss”. She forced a smile on her face.
She left the room and she cursed herself for wishing to be in this condition, though it’s not her fault. She entered her room and she Saw her mom’s missed call.
She phoned her back immediately.
“Hello mom, sorry for not answering your call”. Jemimah apologized.
“I was worried but it’s all fine now. How are you doing my dear, hope everything is good”. Mrs Jubel said.
“Yes, am absolutely fine”. Jemimah said.
“Have you eaten”. Mrs Jubel said.
Jemimah immediately remembered that she hasn’t eaten yet but she wouldn’t tell her Mom.
“Yes mom, am about to go to sleep”. Jemimah lied.
“That’s good, hope you are treated well”. Mrs Jubel asked.
“Yes mom”. Jemimah said.
“Okay bye, good night dear”. Mrs Jubel said.
“Good night Mom”. Jemimah said and she end the call.
She went into the kitchen to find something to eat, she looked around and saw some noodles in the cabin. She immediately took one and cook it. When she was done with the cooking so she went to the dining room to eat. But at that time, Jackson came downstairs and he saw her eating.
“Leave this and make another one for yourself”. Jackson said.
“What but am hungry now, I haven’t eaten anything since”. Jemimah said.
“I don’t care, leave”. Jackson said.
Jemimah grumbled before she left for the kitchen, she start preparing another one.
“He is so wicked”. Jemimah said.
She finished the cooking and came to the dining room to eat, she didn’t meet Jackson again, she sat down and eat her food and went inside when she was done.
✓ Next morning: Maxwell College✓
Alex and Lucy was waiting for them to come, they went to the library and sat down.
👥: She’s beautiful. One of the boys said.
👥:Yes, she is.
👥: I will approach her. The first one said.
👥:Go my friend. The other one said.
“Hi, pretty”. The boy said.
“Hello”. Lucy replied.
“Wanna hang out with me?” He said.
“No thanks”. Lucy said.
“Come on, it going to be fun. He said.
“Am not interested, sorry”. Lucy said.
“Come on”. He tried to touch her but Alex held his hand.
“Don’t you hear her, she is not interested”. Alex defended.
“And who are you”. The boy said and Alex glared at him.

Jackson and Jemimah were set to leave the house when Mrs and Mrs Maxwell entered.
“Mom, dad welcome”. Alice run to them.
“How have you been dear”. Mrs Maxwell said.
“Am fine”.
“Welcome mom and dad”. Jackson greeted
“How are you”. Mr Maxwell asked.
“Am fine”. Jackson replied.
“And who is this”. Mrs Maxwell having noticed Jemimah said.
“She is..”
“Why there a resemblance”. Mr Maxwell said.
“A resemblance? She’s my maid”. Jackson said.
“Maid”. Mr and Mrs Maxwell said.
