Chapter 33 & 34 : Saved
Mrs Maxwell immediately rushed home, she got out of the car and went to Jackson’s room.
“Open the door quickly Jackson”. Mrs Maxwell shouted.
“Mom.. why are you shivering, what’s wrong and where’s Jemimah”. Jackson asked when he opened the door.
“Jemimah.. she..”
“Talk mom, what happened”. Jackson asked again.
“She has been kidnapped”. Mrs Maxwell said.
“What!” Jackson exclaimed.
“How, where did it take place. How did it happen”. Jackson asked.
“In the restaurant, she went to the restroom and soon I expected to come back when I saw someone carrying her into a van”. Mrs Maxwell said.
“Okay no problem, stop shivering now. Inform dad about it, I will go out and do something”. Jackson said.
Mrs Maxwell nodded and she went to inform her husband about it, and he start to call police officers.
✓ Unknown place✓
Jemimah is tied on a chair, she had fell unconscious. She felt something like water on her face and she woke up.
“What.. what am I doing here and where is this place”. Jemimah said but she got no answer suddenly she heard an incoming laughter coming towards her till she saw the face.
“Who are you, where have you brought me”. Jemimah asked Shaking in fear.
“Don’t worry, you will know soon”. One of the men said.
“Are..are you the one that…”
“Yes you’re right am the one”. The man laughed again.
They can hear another sound of laughter coming into light, they faced the direction and Boom , there comes Rose and Kate.
“You, you’re the one that sent them”. Jemimah asked.
“Yes I am, since you refused to leave my brother alone and to top it all, my crush went against me just for someone like you?” Rose said.
Jemimah looked in awe, she couldn’t believe that Rose is crushing on Jackson.
“You’re getting it all wrong, There’s nothing between me and him or your brother”. Jemimah said already in fear.
“Keep shut, did you really expect me to believe you?” Rose and she laughed sarcastically.
Meanwhile, in a cyber cafe. Jackson is locating Jemimah’s location through her phone. He is doing it all by him self, he waited for the result when suddenly the phone was spotted. Jackson immediately took his bike key and head for the place.
“I can’t believe am doing this for a mere maid”. Jackson said inwardly and he scoffed.

“Listen, am sure Jackson will come here and save me then he will see your bad side”. Jemimah said.
“Says who huh, you are just his mere maid. He wouldn’t come to save you, besides he doesn’t know where you are”. Kate said.
“That’s right, you are just a maid to him nothing else got that?” Rose also added.
Upon hearing that, Jemimah thought of it, she is just a maid why Will he come to save her”. Jemimah thought.
“You guys aren’t here to watch a movie, so do your job”. Rose said to the men.
The men moved close to Jemimah, they started caressing her body. They moved away and one of them wanted to remove her too but then;
“Lay your filthy hands on her again, then you will meet your Waterloo today itself”.
They all faced the direction the voice came from revealing no one other than Jackson. Rose and Kate were shocked infact, Jemimah also was surprised.
“Jack.. Jackson””. Jemimah said.
“Jackson, it’s not what you think it is, seriously”. Rose said, Jackson made to slap her but it ended up on one of the men’s cheek.
“You are extremely lucky that I don’t hit women, else your cheek would have been torned by now”. Jackson said facing her.
“Listen Jackson, it’s actually…am sorry, I did this because”.
“Keep your reasons to yourself, I have known you before her. I didn’t really expect you of this. Now, release her”. Jackson said.
Immediately the men released her Jemimah ran to his side. Two officers came in.
“Arrest these two men” . Jackson said.
“What of these two ladies”. One of the officers said.
“I will handle them myself”. Jackson replied.
“Okay, thank you”. They said and they took them away.
“I didn’t arrest you because my father knows your father, don’t show me your face for some days”. Jackson said and took Jemimah out of the place.
“Ah, fuck”. Rose said.
✓ Maxwell Mansion✓
They arrived home and got off the bike, immediately they entered the house, the family members quickly rushed to her.
“Thank God you are fine dear, I really thought something bad happened”. Mrs Maxwell said.
“Jackson was quick to locate you, I have to call those officers”. Mr Maxwell said and Jemimah smiled.
“Am sorry dear, I couldn’t protect you. Am really sorry”. Mrs Maxwell said.
“It’s okay ma’am, it’s not your fault. Am fine now”. Jemimah said.
“All thanks to brother right?” Alice said and Jemimah looked at Jackson.
“Yeah, I think I have to keep saying thank you. Thank you boss”. Jemimah said and bowed.
Jackson just walked out of the sitting room without saying anything.
“Common, let’s me get you something to eat before you take a shower”. Mrs Maxwell said and took her to the dining room.
Jemimah finished eating and she went to her room to take a shower, after that she was set to sleep when she picked her phone and dialed her mom’s number. Her mom was quick to answer.
“Hello dear how are you”. Mrs Jubel asked.
“Am fine mom”. Jemimah replied.
“What’s wrong with you, hope you are fine”. Mrs Maxwell said.
“I guess I will have to keep lying to you am sorry mom”. Jemimah thought.
“Yes i am absolutely fine, don’t worry”. Jemimah said.
“Okay, good night dear”. Mrs Jubel said.
“Good night Mom”. She said and hung up the phone.
“I can’t believe that he actually came”. Jemimah thought. She was still thinking about it when she fell asleep.
Chapter 35 & 36 : Confession 1
✓ Next morning✓
Jemimah woke up at 5:00am, because that’s the time Jackson told her to wake up every morning. She went ahead to do the necessary chores in the mansion.
After she was done with that, she went to the kitchen and prepared the breakfast, by the time she was done it was already 6:30. Immediately she was done, she went to Jackson’s room.
“Can I come in”. Jemimah said but as usual there was no reply so she just pushed the door opened.
“Morning boss”. Jemimah said.
“Why are you here so early in the morning huh, why did you come and disturb my sleep, you should know that one of the things I hate most is this”. Jackson said as he sat on the bed.
“Am sorry but you told to wake up early every morning”. Jemimah said.
“Did I tell you to come wake me up then”. Jackson retorted.
“Am.. sorry”. Jemimah said.
Within him, he felt guilty but he wasn’t going to apologise. He got off the bed, and faced Jemimah.
“Go set my bath before I comes back”. Jackson said.
“Yes”. Jemimah said and went into the bathroom.
✓ Maxwell School✓
Olivia was expecting Alice, she wondered why she is not here yet. Just then, she sighted Adam and called his name.
“Adam, hey”. Olivia said.
“Hi, morning”. Adam said.
“Yeah, I umm.. I want to ask something from you but it somehow weird”. Olivia said scratching her hair.
“Say it, you’re free”. Adam said.
“Okay, can.. can we hang out later in the day”. Olivia said
“What, I mean umm sure why not but…”.
“Yeah, I know you like Alice but I would like to say something too”. Olivia cuts in.
“Okay, text me the address later”. Adam said.
“Your number?” Olivia said and they exchanged number.
Just then Alice walked over to them, she saw Adam but couldn’t help to remember the hug. She rolled her eyes and faced Olivia.
“Hi”. Olivia said.
“Morning, common what are you doing here let’s go to class”. Alice said.
“Yes, Adam I will be expecting you”. Olivia said and they walked off.
“Expecting him? What for”. Alice asked.
“I invited him to hang out with me after school. I will confess my feelings to him then”. Olivia said.
“What, I mean you .. you are going to..to confess”? Alice said.
“Yeah, I will tell him I love you. But listen, are you sure you don’t like him”. Olivia said.
“No no I don’t, why are you asking me”. Alice said feeling weird inward.
“Cause, I know he’s crushing on you. So since you don’t like him, I will make him fall for me”. Olivia said.
“Yeah, that’s.. that’s good. Let’s settle down for class”. Alice said trying to change the topic.
✓ Maxwell College✓
Jackson and Jemimah arrived at the college and went to class, they met none of their friends.
“Where are they, why aren’t they in class”. Jemimah said.
“I will give Alex a call”. Jackson said.
“That’s good”. Jemimah said.
Jackson called Alex, he told him over the phone that he is in the library. So they went to the library.
“Alex”. Jemimah called and waved.
“Morning, how are you”. Alex said.
“Am good”. Jemimah replied.
“Morning bro”. Alex greeted Jackson and he responded.
“Umm, where’s Lucy” . Jemimah asked.
“I was about to ask you the same, why is she not in college”. Alex said.
“Uh, she didn’t tell me anything, let’s me give her a call”. Jemimah said and she called Lucy.
📞: Hi Lucy. Jemimah said.
📞: Morning. Lucy replied.
📞: What happened, why aren’t you in college. Jemimah asked.
📞: Umm, actually I have been a little bit sick. Lucy said.
📞: What, sick. Why didn’t you inform me. Don’t worry I will come to your place after lectures. Jemimah said and Alex looked at her.
📞: Thanks, I will be expecting you. Lucy said.
📞: Bye. Jemimah said and ended the call.
“She is sick?” Alex asked.
“Yes, I wonder why she couldn’t tell me”. Jemimah said looking worried.
“I will accompany you to her place today, can I?” Alex said.
“Sure”. Jemimah said.
“Common, let’s go to class and don’t be late when you go there”. Jackson said.
“Yes”. Jemimah answered.
They stood up and went to class. Alex wondered whether she was missing her.
“Could I be missing her, no. It can be out of compassionate”. Alex thought.
✓ Later in the day~ Coffee shop✓
Olivia was waiting for Adam to arrive. She was dressed in a pink dress that dropped to her knee, she added some jewelries and make-up. Finally, he got there, he was just wore a Calvin Klein top and Jean.
“You look nice”. Olivia said.
“Thanks, you look good too”. Adam said.
Olivia just blushed, they order for some coffee and cookies. Olivia cleared her throat to begin her confession
“Umm, can I ask you a question”. Olivia said.
“Go on”. Adam said.
“Do you have a girlfriend”. Olivia asked.
“No for now”. Adam replied.
“Then, do you mind making me yours”. Olivia said.
“I.. I don’t understand”. Adam said.
“I mean, I have to gather the courage to tell this that I..”. Olivia paused.
“You?” Adam said.
“I love you Adam, I love you so much”. Olivia said and Adam looked at her in surprise, he couldn’t reply.
✓ Lucy’s house✓
Alex and Jemimah knocked on their door and Lucy’s mom came to open the door for them.
“Good afternoon ma’am”. Jemimah greeted.
“Afternoon dear, how are you”. Mrs Queen ( Lucy’s mom) said.
“Am fine, I came to check on Lucy and this is our friend Alexander”. Jemimah said.
“Afternoon ma’am”. Alex greeted.
“God bless you, come in”. Mrs Queen said.
She led them to the sitting room, and told Jemimah to go see Lucy with her friend.
They knocked on Lucy’s door and she told them to come in, she saw her with a cold handkerchief on her forehead.
“Oh cutie. Why didn’t you inform me”. Jemimah rushed to her.
“I am sorry, I didn’t want to disturb you”. Lucy said.
“It’s okay, let’s me get something hot. Alex please stay with her”. Jemimah said.
“Sure”. Alex replied and he sat down on the bed.
“You, why did you come here”. Lucy said.
“What do you mean”. Alex said.
“Answer my question, I didn’t expect you to come”. Lucy said with a frown on her face.
“Because I.. I was missing you”. Alex blurted out.
“What”.
Chapter 37 : Confession 2
“I mean, I didn’t have anybody to disturb me you know. I was just kinda bored”. Alex said while scratching his head.
“Hmmmmm, really”. Lucy said.
“Yes, of course. Why did you think I will miss you cause of something else”. Alex said but Lucy just started laughing.
“What’s funny”. Alex asked with a frown on his face.
“Am..am sorry but with that look on your face. You looked…” She began to laugh again.
Alex just found himself smiling too, Jemimah came in and found Lucy laughing.
“What’s going on, what’s funny”. Jemimah asked.
“I don’t know, she said the look on my face amused her”. Alex said with a tone of anger.
“Am.. sorry”. Lucy said.
Jemimah too burst into laughter, and Lucy joined again. Alex just smiled, unknowingly to them Mrs Queen was at the door watching them.
“There’s a reason why they are besties, and that boy something is fishing, he is reason why my daughter laughed. God bless you”. Mrs Queen said.
✓ Coffee shop✓
“Answer me Adam, please don’t reject me”. Olivia said.
“I.. umm, you know that I like Alice so why all these”. Adam finally said.
“But she doesn’t like you, I love you please give me a chance”. Olivia said.
“Hmm, you will have to give me sometimes to think about it”. Adam said.
“I hope the outcome will be positive”. Olivia said.
“I think we are done here, Please let’s go. I will pay for this”. Adam said and he went to pay for the coffee, they left the shop.
✓ Lucy’s house ~ 4:25pm✓
They were about to leave the house, It’s was like their visit gingered Lucy up. She had become more better within their visit.
“I will miss you”. Lucy said.
“Make sure, you come to college tomorrow okay?” Jemimah said.
“Sure”. Lucy said.
They noticed a black car coming towards them and someone got out of the car revealing Ellis. He was holding a bouquet of flowers, he walked towards Jemimah and knelt down in front of her.
“Jemimah Jubel, I know my arrival here must have surprised you but I have something to tell you”. Ellis said and Jemimah just stared at him.
“I LOVE YOU”. Ellis shouted.
“What”. Alex and Lucy exclaimed.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” Ellis stretched the flower to her.
They all looked in shock and people started gathering around.
Chapter 38 & 39 : I love you
👥: Common, say yes.
👥: Accept.
Jemimah didn’t know what to do, she stand there like a mannequin. She looked at Lucy and Alex, she couldn’t bring an answer.
“Umm Ellis, what are you doing?” Jemimah asked him.
“I love you Jemimah, have been thinking about it you lately. I decided to bring up the courage to tell you this”. Ellis said.
“But.. you.. you will have to give me some time to think about it”. Jemimah said.
“Sure, you have all days. But please don’t break my heart”. Ellis said and Jemimah looked at him.
Jemimah and Alex left the scene, Jemimah board a cab home. Alex insisted on taking her home but she refused.
✓ Maxwell Mansion✓
Jemimah open the door of the mansion, she looked so lost that she didn’t notice Jackson sitting down.
“I told you to come early didn’t I”. Jackson said but Jemimah didn’t respond.
“Am talking to you, can’t you hear me”. Jackson repeated.
But Jemimah didn’t respond, she just stood on her spot looking so lost. Jackson moved close to her and looked at her.
“Jemimah!” Jackson shouted.
“What huh, aren’t you tired of inconveniencing me? I always do whatever you tell me even though am satisfied with it. Do you think you can always boss me around, I work you and you gave my money, didn’t I. Am tired and fed up of your behaviors”. Jemimah fired back at him. Jackson just stood there in awe, he couldn’t believe his eyes.
“What’s wrong, why.. why are you…” Mrs Maxwell said as soon as she came in to the sitting room. Mr Maxwell and Alice too was present.
“You should ask your son why he’s so cold and rude Mrs Maxwell. Tell me, haven’t I tried enough. I wake up early every morning and take care of all of you especially you Jackson. He doesn’t have any right…”
“Is it because of Ellis that you dare to speak to me in that manner”. Jackson said looking straight into her eyes.
“Ellis?” Jemimah said.
“I know everything, he proposed to you right? Answer me now”. He yelled.
“Yes, he did. So what, I can do whatever I like with anybody. It doesn’t concern you. Infact, am accepting his proposal tomorrow”. Jemimah said with evidence of anger in her face.
“Really, then get ready to leave my house”. Jackson said. Jemimah just glared at him, she couldn’t believe he could say that.
“After all my dedication to this house? I will leave I hope you will stop being a jackass then”. Jemimah said.
“What”. Jackson said.
“Listen children, we can settle this amicably. You don’t have to fight please”. Mr Maxwell said.
“Brother, Jemimah Please don’t fight please”. Alice pleaded almost crying.
“No Alice, you don’t have to beg. I hope one day you will find a person who will be able to calm you down”. Jemimah said and she went to her room to pack her belongings.
“Brother please stop her”. Alice pleaded.
“I don’t care”. He said and went to his room too.
Jemimah came down with her luggage packed, she was sad that she have to leave the house but she has no choice.
“My dear, please stay. I will talk to him”. Mrs Maxwell said.
“Yes please stay”. Alice said.
“No am sorry”. Jemimah said and Walk out of the house.
✓ Nearby restaurant ~ Lucy’s place✓
Alex called Lucy that he wants to see her. She came to meet him in a nearby restaurant.
“Why did you call me Alex”. Lucy said.
“I.. umm… want to say something to you actually”. Alex said.
“Uhn, what’s it”. Lucy said looking worried.
“It’s actually like a confession”. Alex said. He have been having a hard time because he had been thinking about her lately.
He consulted someone about it and the person told him that it is love. He decided confront it and confess his feelings.
“What confession?” Lucy asked.
“Lucy, I have been having this weird feelings and I consulted someone and the person told me it’s Love”. Alex said.
“So who’s the lucky girl”. Lucy asked smiling.
“Umm.. YOU”. Alex said.
“Uhn, who’s You”. Lucy said.
“Lucy Queen, I love you Lucy a lot”. Alex said and Lucy glared in surprise.
“What, me how?” Lucy said.
“I don’t know but you have been on my mind lately. It’s Love Lucy, please. Am sorry I have to say it this way”. Alex said.
“Umm, can you give me some times to think about it”. Lucy said.
“It’s okay, love you”. Alex said.
Lucy just smiled and she went out of the restaurant, she was still thinking about it.
“Love”? Lucy thought.

Alice was actually avoiding Adam since the time Olivia had told her about her meeting with Adam. But Luck wasn’t on her side, she collided with Adam.
“Alice, I have to say something”. Adam said while holding her.
“Listen, people are watching, Olivia might come here anytime”. Alice said.
“I don’t care, I love you Alice, I love you”. Adam said.
“Love, I thought…”
“It’s you, I love you”. Adam said.
