Chapter 57 & 58 : Secret
“Why should she come to our college.” Jackson retorted.
“Why what’s wrong.” Adrian said.
“She can’t come… She.”
“Why, she will. It’s my college so she is going.” Mr Maxwell said.
“Whatever.” Jackson said and left for his room.
“You are welcome Stephanie.” Jemimah said but she just rolled her eyes.
Soon they all depart from the sitting room. Later in the night, Jemimah was in her room when she saw Jackson’s call.
📞: Jackson what’s wrong.
📞: Don’t I have the right to call my girlfriend again.
📞: Yes but someone may hear you especially Stephanie.
📞: That is the reason why I called. I don’t want her to come to our college cause she may find out about our relationship and besides we won’t act like a couple.
📞: Don’t worry about that, no one can separate us. And even though she learns about it, it for the better cause they will find out anyways.
📞: Hmm okay, just remember that I love you.
📞: I love you too.
📞: Ummm, can you come to my room.
📞: Uhn no, someone might sees us, we really have to be extra careful.
📞: Okay then, good night.
📞: Are you angry love.
📞: Hell no, I can never be angry with you.
📞: Hmmm, is that a promise?
📞: Maybe Yes.
📞: Okay good night
📞: Bye.
They hung up the call and Jemimah’s mom number came in directly. She spoke with her mother for some times before going to sleep.
√ The next morning~ Maxwell College√
👥: Who’s this pretty girl
👥: Why is she walking with Jackson and Jemimah.
👥: What’s going on.
They all kept talking when Stephanie walked in with Jemimah and Jackson. She smiled upon reaching the college and walked side by side with Jackson which got people talking.
They went to the Head’s office and register her name, luckily she was also in the same class with them.
“Wow, I really love this college, so amazing.” Stephanie said and Lucy rolled her eyes.
“This is our friends Stephanie.” Jemimah said pointing to Lucy, Alex and Rose.
“Hi.” Stephanie said.
“Hello.” Alex replied.
“Welcome to the college, and please remember to stay in your limit cause everyone here is taken.” Lucy said.
“Well except Jackson of course.” Stephanie said.
“He is..”
“Yes of course.” Jemimah said cutting off Lucy from spewing out the truth.
They were all interrupted by a lecturer who lectured for about one hour before leaving the class.
√ Cafeteria√
Stephanie and the rest came in to the cafeteria and all eyes were all them.
👥: She’s the other girl
👥: She’s really following them around.
👥: She looks good though.
“Common, where will I seat since you all occupied the chairs.” Stephanie said when they sat on the chairs leaving no space for her.
“Come seat here, I will find somewhere else to seat.” Jemimah said as she stood up and Jackson glared at her.
“Jemimah, common I will follow you then.” Lucy said and she nodded.
Jackson just kept looking at Jemimah from where she is seated. He signalled for her to come sit near but she refused.
“Stephanie is really weird, is she trying to destroy our friendship now?” Lucy said.
“No it’s not like that, it’s her first time here so she just trying to feel among.” Jemimah said.
“Hmm you’re so nice obviously you would say that.” Lucy said.
“That’s not the case.” Jemimah said.
“Common, end of discussion. Let’s talk about something else.” Lucy said and Jemimah looked at Jackson again to find him looking at her too, she immediately looked away.
√ Somewhere around the college√
Amara walked towards Ellis and tapped him.
“Why did you call me here.” Amara said.
“Huh you are my girlfriend now so I just want to spend sometimes with my baby.” Ellis said and she blushed.
“Hmm so what’s are we doing.” Amara said and sat on his lap.
“Nothing, let’s continue looking at each other this way.” Ellis said and she smiled.
They were interrupted by call from Ellis phone, he looked at the caller and it’s was Peter.
📞: Hi, can you come and see me now?
📞: Why anything wrong.
📞: No just come.
📞: Okay, on my way.
“Am sorry Amara, I really have to go.” Ellis said.
“I will follow you please.” Amara said and he nodded a yes.
Ellis got to the place Peter described for him and he saw Peter, he walked up to him.
“Why did you call me here.” Ellis said.
“Nice you brought Amara. I really need to do romantic decoration here right now for Rose, so I want you to help me. The decor people will be here soon. So when they are here, she will help call Rose over here.” Peter said.
“Why do you want to do this.” Ellis said.
“What else, wanna ask her out to be my girlfriend.” Peter said.
“Wow that’s nice.” Amara said.
“Thanks, oh here they are.” Peter said as the people walked in with their euipment.
A while later they were done and everything looked so romantic. A table well set with a wine on the opposite sides. The place were also flowered with Rose.
Amara called Rose over and she arrived there in a short while. When she entered the light were off.
“Amara?” Rose called.
“Why is this place dark, common are you scaring me it’s not yet Halloween. Amara.” Rose said.
Suddenly the light were on and Rose were surprised to see the decorations, she opened her mouth agape.
“Wow, who’s this for.” Rose said.
“For you.” Peter said coming towards her.
“Peter?” Rose said.
Suddenly Peter knelt down in front of her and said.
“Rose Rodriguez, will you be my girlfriend.” Peter said and the next thing Rose heard was ‘ say yes,say yes.
She looked around and saw some people and Ellis and Amara.
“Common, say yes already.” Ellis said.
“Yeah..yes, I will.” Rose said almost crying.
Peter Immediately stood up and they hugged each other. He helped Rose clean her tears and they smiled.
“This is where we will get going.” Ellis said.
“Thank you bro.” Peter said.
“Brother, thank you.” Rose said.
“Be happy and keep her happy Peter. Remember she is my sister, if anything happens to her, I will…”
“Nothing will happen to her, I won’t allow that.” Peter said and Rose hugged her brother before they left leaving them to enjoy their date.
√ Maxwell Mansion~evening√
They got home some while ago. Jemimah was passing besides Uncle Adrian room when she heard him talking with someone.
“It’s not good to spy really.” Jemimah thought. She was about to go when she heard him say.
“No one in this house or wherever must know about the secret, am I clear.” She heard him say to whoever was on the line.
“Secret, what secret?” Jemimah thought.
Chapter 59 & 60 : Stephanie is his partner
“It’s must be kept as a secret once again, if they find out then you are in trouble.” Adrian said to the person over line.
Jemimah immediately hid herself when she saw that Adrian turn towards the door side.
Jemimah used that opportunity to go to her room, she kept wondering what he was talking about. She decided to call her mom so that she could stay calm.
📞: Good evening mom.
📞: My dear, how have you been doing. You didn’t even bother to check up on me or call me, what happened.
📞: Am sorry mom, I really had some busy schedule lately. I didn’t have the time, am sorry I promise to come to our house tomorrow after college.
📞: Okay dear, I will be expecting you. You have no idea how much I miss you.
📞: I miss you too Mom.
📞: My regards to Lucy.
📞: Okay ma , I will get going now.
📞: Good night dear, sleep tight.
📞: Good night.
“What’s could Uncle be talking about and who was he talking to. I really need to find out.” Jemimah said.
√ Next morning~ Maxwell Mansion√
Jemimah was about to enter Adrian’s room to give him his tea. She heard him talking to someone again.
” You are in that college so it’s your duty to keep an eye on them.” Adrian said.
“It’s just recently, how do you expect to find out something real quick.” Jemimah heard the person over the Line says.
“You have to give me a feedback very soon and everything you do must be a secret, no one must find out.” Adrian said and he hung up the call.
Jemimah to avoid being suspected Immediately acted like she just arrived.
“Uncle your tea.” Jemimah said.
“Thank you.” Adrian said and she nodded.
“For how long have you been there.” Adrian asked which got Jemimah swallowing nothing.
“Umm just now uncle, any problem?” Jemimah lied.
“No you can go.” Adrian said and she quickly ran out of the room.
She saw Jackson waiting for her in the sitting room, she walked up to him. She wanted to tell him about his uncle but she shrugged it off.
“Common, where have you been.” Jackson asked.
“Serving tea to Uncle.” Jemimah replied.
“Seriously, you are not a servant here so you should really stop acting like one please.” Jackson and she nodded.
“Good morning handsome Jackson.” Stephanie said walking towards them.
“Morning.” Jackson responded coldly.
“Let’s go now.” Jemimah said starting to feel jealous already.
In Mr Maxwell’s room, they both were discussing about Stephanie issue.
“Do you really think it’s right as she attending the college.” Mrs Maxwell said.
” Of course, she is also a family at least Adrian knows her well, so I don’t see anything bad.” Mr Maxwell said.
“But it’s still…”
“Please stop, since she is staying with us it’s our duty to take care of her. So when I have a college will I send her to another college again?” Mr Maxwell said.
“Well, you are right. As you deem it fit anyways.” Mrs Maxwell said.
“Okay, am going to office now. See you later.” Mr Maxwell said before kissing her forehead.
√ Rodriguez mansion√
Rose was came out of their mansion, Ellis and her was supposed to use the car but it got faulty so she had to take a bus.
As she was about to go, she saw Peter waving to her and she walked towards him.
” Hi, what are you doing here so early in the morning.” Rose said.
“Well, Ellis asked me to pick you up to college.” Peter said.
“Thank you.” Rose said.
“Where’s is the baby there or babe.” Peter said.
“Thanks baby.” Rose said and they both smiled.
“Good, can we go now?” Peter said and she nodded a yes.
On the way to their college, it’s was really quiet like a graveyard. One or the other was shy to bring up a discussion, they only listen to music all through.

“We aren’t having lecture this morning right, so why are we here.” Stephanie said.
“You can go to the library of course. There are a lot of books there which you have never read before.” Jemimah said and Stephanie rolled her eyes.
“Didn’t really need your advice.” Stephanie said.
“That’s alright now.” Jackson said as he picked his phone to call Alex.
📞: Alex, I can’t find in college what’s wrong.
📞: Yeah sorry I forgot to inform you. Lucy and I want to go out today together.
📞: Oh okay, have fun.
📞: Thanks, my regards to Jemimah.
📞: Sure.
“What’s wrong.” Jemimah asked.
“They’re not coming to college today, they are going on a date maybe.” Jackson said.
“Wow, that’s awesome.” Jemimah said.
Stephanie got a call which Immediately stood up to go and receive.
📞: Why are you calling me now.” Stephanie said.
📞: Remember you need to try and bring some useful to me today.
📞: I will try, now hang up cause am with them.
Stephanie hung up the call and she was about to go back when she saw Jemimah staring at her.
“She is the second person, am sure she is.” Jemimah thought.
Chapter 61 & 62 : Master mind
“She’s the second person, am sure she is.”
“Umm, Jemimah.. what… What are you doing here.” Stephanie stammered fearing that she heard her conversation.
“I was passing by actually.” Jemimah lied deciding to play along.
“Okay that’s good. Then what are you still doing, Go.” Stephanie said and Jemimah left.
“Thank God she didn’t heard the conversation. Uncle Adrian is really going to put in trouble.” Stephanie said before going to the cafeteria.
“Wait, is this a dream someone should wake me up. What does Uncle and Stephanie have in common, what are they planning.” Jemimah said as her mind travelled to Adrian and Stephanie words trying to fix the puzzle.
√ Maxwell School√
Alice was in her classroom when she saw Olivia walking towards her.
She was surprised to see her coming to her, what was on her mind was that she is ready to come back to her best friend that she was before.
“Hi, why are you here today. Are you ready to settle our misunderstandings, am ready to be your bestie again.” Alice said but her statement completely shattered her hope.
“Am not here to settle anything, the only reason why am here right now is to warn you. Once again am telling you to stop this silly relationship you have with Adam. If you really love me, you will do that for me but for now say goodbye to our friendship, bye.” Olivia haven said that stood up and left her presence.
“Really!” Alice said sadly, she really wish for both of them to be friends again but she loves Adam sincerely.
“Does that means I will have to choose between my bestie and the one I love.” Alice thought.
Her thought was interrupted by the presence of Adam who came to hug her from behind but from his scent, she knows it’s him.
“What’s my baby thinking about.” Adam asked.
“Just want to ask you a question.” Alice said.
“What’s that?”
“For instance, am not your girlfriend. If you have to choose between your girlfriend or your bestie whom you really loves, who will you choose?” Alice said.
“What’s all this about?” Adam asked.
“Just answer.” Alice said.
“I will choose my girlfriend. I can still end whatever misunderstanding between me and my bestie but once I loose my girlfriend, there’s no possibility of coming back.” Adam said which Alice thinking.
“That’s true though.” Alice thought.
“All clear?” Adam asked.
“Yes.” Alice responded.
“Now will you smile please.” Adam said and she smiled.
“Thank you for everything.” Alice said and Adam hugged her.
“You are always welcome.” He smiled as well.

Jackson and Jemimah was alone together in the library discussing. Jemimah suggested that they stay somewhere else but Jackson refused.
Jemimah rest her head on Jackson’s arm while he patted her hair.
“Jemimah.” Jackson called.
“Hmmmm.” Jemimah responded.
“I love you.” Jackson said which got Jemimah raising up her head.
“Why saying this.” Jemimah said looking inside his eyes.
“What do you mean, you are my girlfriend of course I have the right to tell you that anytime any day.” Jackson said and Jemimah smiled resting her head back on his arm.
“I love you too.” Jemimah said and he pecked her forehead.
“Hmm hmm,, these lovey- dovey are so romantic.” Lucy said as Alex and her came in.
“You are back, tell me how was your date. Am so jealous of you guys.” Jemimah Said sitting down normally.
“Not us, but am jealous of both of you.” Alex said.
“Really miss you guys.” Jackson said.
“Same bro.” Alex said.
“So what are you two doing here.” Alex asked.
“Nothing just spending with each other.” Jackson said.
“Awwwwwwwwn.” Lucy said and Jemimah eyed her.
“Umm excuse me I really need to check something in my bag.” Jemimah said but that was an excuse. She actually saw Stephanie rushing somewhere so she had to follow her.
“Where is she rushing to?” Jemimah thought as she followed her.
√ Cafeteria√
Amara and Ellis were together in the cafeteria, Ellis thought that he is not performing well as a boyfriend to her.
He didn’t want her to think that he is not someone romantic, so she called her here.
“So what are we here .” Amara asked.
“Actually, I didn’t want to see you in the college but you know is still during college hours that’s why.” Ellis said.
“It’s okay not a problem.” Amara said.
“So, what I really I want to Clear something, you might be thinking that I don’t act like your boyfriend and am sorry for that. I promise I will change okay?” Ellis said but instead Amara started smiling.
“Why are you smiling.”
“Actually, am satisfied with whatever you do. All I know is that I love you and it won’t change cause you don’t act like my boyfriend.” Amara said.
“Are you sure.” Ellis asked.
“Of course, I love you.” Amara said.
“I love you too.” Ellis said and pecked her knuckles.
Back to where Jemimah was following Stephanie, she followed her till she got the entrance of the college gate. She saw her moving towards a person Which seems to be a man.
“What are you doing here, why did you follow me .” Jemimah heard Stephanie said.
“You are really tempting me, that’s the reason why I brought you here in the first place to tell me whether Jackson had learn something about his accident.”
Jemimah knew that the voice sounds familiar but she didn’t remember where.
“Am trying to Adrain, am trying.” Stephanie said and on hearing that Jemimah’s eyes widened.
“Uncle Adrian and Stephanie working together about Jackson’s accident, does it mean that…. He is the master mind!” Jemimah said with her eyes wide open.
Chapter 63 & 64 : Another secret
Jemimah immediately ran from there because she didn’t want to be seen by them.
She ran to a corner where she won’t be seen. She was shocked about what she just learns about.
“Uncle Adrian really did that, but why even with Stephanie. He is using Stephanie as a bait to know whether he has learnt something about it. That’s so heartless.” Jemimah said sadly.
“I don’t know maybe I should inform Jackson about it. He will be so heartbroken to know about it. I won’t tell him now.” Jemimah said and went to the library.

Jackson and the rest were waiting for Jemimah to come back. Jackson was about to go look for her because he is worried already.
Immediately he was about to go out, he saw coming in with a sad face. He walked up to her and hugged her.
“Where were you huh, do you want me to be worried.” Jackson said but she gave no answer.
“Jemimah, what’s wrong.” Jackson said softly releasing her from the hug.
“Huh, nothing.” Jemimah said.
“Really, tell me the truth. What happened why did you come back with a sad face and why were you late.” Jackson said.
“Umm, I was just caught up with something and am not sad.” Jemimah said putting on a smile on her face.
“Really, are you lying?” Jackson asked.
“No am not, trust me.” She said.
“Okay, I trust you. Common guys let’s go and eat.” Jackson said calling the attention of Lucy and Alex.
“Yes, good idea.” Lucy said.
“You really are a foodie.” Alex said and Lucy pouted sadly.
“Oh am sorry. No wonder Jemimah calls cutie.” Alex said hugging her and she smiled.
√ Cafeteria√
Peter, Rose, Ellis and Amara were sitted in the cafeteria discussing when they saw Jemimah, Jackson, Lucy and Alex coming in.
“Those are our friends.” Ellis said pointing to them while Jemimah waved.
“She’s beautiful.” Peter said and Rose glared at him.
“Easy, easy. Not as beautiful as you though.” Peter said and she smiled.
“That’s good.” Rose said.
On the other table,they ordered their food and began eating. Jemimah just kept looking at Jackson all through.
She wondered what he might have gone through during his condition, he would not have been able to associate well even with his mom and sister.
“All because of him.” Jemimah said it loud and they looked at her.
“All of who.” Lucy asked.
“What are you saying.” Alex asked.
“Hun, it’s nothing actually. I think I have been a little bit worried about something which I don’t know.” Jemimah said but Jackson just kept looking at her.
“Am really telling the truth Jackson. Umm am going to my mom’s house today after school.” Jemimah said.
“Okay.” Jackson said and Jemimah furrowed her brows.
“Can I go?” Jemimah asked.
“Firstly, am no more your boss but my girlfriend, secondly you are free to go anywhere you like.” Jackson said and Jemimah smiled.
“Thank you.” Jemimah said and he smiled.
“Wait guys, I think to get one thing clear.” Alex said.
“What’s that?” Lucy asked.
“Those four over there, don’t you think something is fishy and even the way this one is behaving with another.” Alex said Which got thinking about it while looking their side.
“Yes, I think so too.” Jemimah said.
“Well, happy for them all.” Lucy said.
Immediately Jemimah saw Stephanie coming towards the cafeteria and towards them, her countenance changed which Jackson noticed.
“Hi guys.” Stephanie said besides them.
“What are you doing here.” Jemimah said rudely.
“What do you mean?” Stephanie asked.
“That’s a question?” Jemimah said and rolled her eyes.
“Here with my friends what else.” Stephanie said surprised with her attitude.
“Really, do you really think we’re your friends. Then you have to…” Jemimah immediately stopped talking as she realized she’s about to spill the beans.
“What are you talking about I don’t…”
“That’s okay now, enough.” Jackson said and they kept quiet.
“She is…” Stephanie was cut short by just a glare from Jackson.
√Maxwell School√
Adam came in to the school and and he met his friends on his way. They greeted each other until one of them said something.
“I heard that you and the founder’s daughter is dating.”
“Yes that’s right.” Adam responded.
“Really, do you even know what all the students are saying, saying that you are dating her because of her money.”
“Well, I don’t care. It’s doesn’t matter what they say, am not here for anyone so they try and mind their business. I once told some of them that what I have for her is called True love okay?” Adam said.
“Wow, gat you bro.” He said and patted Adam’s shoulder.
“Common now let’s go to class.”
They walked in to the class and Adam’s eyes met with Alice and they both smiled before Adam walked towards her.
“Morning love.” Adam said and pecked her forehead.
Alice was sure, some students who were in the class must be grumbling.
“People are watching.” Alice said.
“I don’t care.” Adam said and pecked her lips slightly.
Alice eyes widened by this action of his, she couldn’t believe her eyes.
“Did he just kiss me.” Alice thought touching her lips.
“That was not a kiss you know. I will surely kiss you unexpectedly.” Adam whispered in her and bit her ear lobe. And
And that’s sent shivers down her spine. Not like she didn’t want it but it’s took her unexpectedly really.
Olivia was boiling in rage from where she was watching them.
“They are such a cute couple.”
Olivia heard someone says and went out of the class in anger. She was really angry that she hit her hand on the wall which got her bleeding.
“Alice is really getting on my nerves seriously.” Olivia said with a dark expression on her face.
√ Maxwell Mansion√
Jackson and Jemimah arrived home after visiting Jemimah’s mom, they were smiling at the joke Jemimah just said.
They entered the mansion, they saw Stephanie on one of the chairs busy with her phone.
“Oh, you are back. Welcome baby.” Stephanie said walking towards Jackson but he ignored her and went to his room.
Jemimah just rolled her eyes too before going to the kitchen to get something to eat while Stephanie hissed and went back to her phone.
As Jackson was passing by n’s room, it’s seems Adrian has the habit of opening the door. Jackson was about to go but his uncle next words stop him.
“Jemimah Jubel, you are going to end up like your father. The way I killed your father, you won’t be set free too. I will start with your mom.” Jackson heard Adrian said.
He couldn’t believe his ears, he was completely shocked. He just quickly went to his room to reason more about it.
“This is another hidden secret, how will Jemimah feel with this secret.” Jackson thought.
