Episode 13 & 14 : Confronting the Truth
<< BROOKS MANSION >>
“Do you need anything else? I can get you more blanket if you are cold or perhaps I can get you tea or….”
“Am okay mom. You don’t have to fuss over me” June said, seated on the bed in their room.
“Why would you leave a grand mansion just to stay in our little guest room?” Nathan who was standing at the door ask her.
“Grand as it is, it’s not ours and besides, the room belongs to Damian, I don’t want to keep imposing on him” June answer.
“Why would you be imposing on your boyfriend?”
“He is not my boyfriend! Quit saying that” June warn.
“Tch! No one is blind to see how crazy Damian is about you and to be honest, I want him as a brother-in-law, so do your best and make him yours” Nathan advice before leaving the room.
“Are you sure nothing is going on between you and Damian Brooks?” Ruth ask her daughter.
“Nothing is going on. He’s just helping us out with Wayne issue” June said, trying to forget the kiss they shared earlier.
“That’s a relief” Ruth mutter but June heard and she found herself asking curiously.
“Why? Why is it a relief that Damian and I aren’t dating?”
“You two are of different worlds. Even if you do love each other, it just can’t be since a lot of obstacle will be in your way. It’s always like that when a poor girl falls for a rich guy” Ruth said, looking sad and June gave her a hug knowing she was talking about her story.
An hour later, June got out of bed to stretch her limbs when Nathan walk in followed by a angry looking Damian.
“I told her to go back to the mansion but she won’t listen” Nathan said as Damian walk towards her and lifted her into his arms.
“Damian!” A shock June called and he stared at her.
“Staying in my room or better yet, staying by my side is the only way for you to recuperate” he said, leaving the room with her.
“Explain things to your mom when she gets back from her stroll” Damian said to Nathan who gave a nod.
“Enjoy your stay with your boyfriend” Nathan yell after them.
He carried her back into the mansion and straight to his room, ignoring his mom and sister who were both in the sitting room.
“Put me down, I can walk” June said but he ignore her. It wasn’t until he got into his room that he set her on the bed.
“Do you know how worried I was when I return to find that you weren’t here!” He yelled down at her.
“How can I stay when I feel a burden to you. It is your room and you need your privacy which is why I decided to share the guest room with my….”
“You are not a burden to me, June. You are never a burden ” he said softly this time and she look away from him.
At that moment, she got a call from Teresa.
“You want us to meet?” June ask, sending a quick glance at Damian who was watching her.
“Fine then, let’s meet at our usual cafe” she said before ending the call.
“You are going out?”
“Yes. Teresa is my best friend and she has something to say to me and you don’t have to worry about Wayne since we will be meeting in an open area, I will be safe” June said and got out of bed.
“Let me come with you” he said and that made her stop at the door to stare at him.

“Sorry I called you out during this issue with Wayne. Hope all is well?” Teresa ask as soon as June join her.
“Am fine. Thanks to Mr Brooks who kept us under his wing and you should also be careful, he might come for you” June said worriedly.
“Don’t worry, I know how to handle that bastard. You don’t mind if I order for us, am a bit thirsty” Teresa signal to the waiter who came to take their order, he return sometime later with their cappuccino.
While they talk, they drank their coffee and it wasn’t until some time later that June began to feel sleepy.
“Are you okay?” Teresa ask and June shook her head only for her fall asleep.
Teresa smiled before calling Wayne who showed up almost immediately since he was around the area.
“I told you, she won’t suspect me and no one will suspect us since they will think we are taking a drunkard home” Teresa told him.
“That was a brilliant idea, thanks my partner” Wayne said, shaking hands with her.
Together they left the cafe with a sleeping June and when he got her safely in the back seat, he got into the driver seat and drove off, waving at Teresa.
Wayne was whistling to himself, glad that June is finally in his grasp when he made a turn into the next street only to see two police cars waiting.
He tried to make a reverse but two other police car block his car.
A shocked Wayne watch the police officers get out of their car to point their gun at him.
“What the hell…did that bitch betray me?” Wayne mutter.
“Did you really believe she will work with you? Turns out you are very dumb, Wayne” June said suddenly and he turn an angry gaze on her.
“I should have known you two were up to no good!” He yelled and made a grab for her but June got out of the car, running straight into Damian arms.
“Are you okay?” Damian ask, a worried look etch on his face and June gave a nod only to be pulled into his arms.
“Let go of me! Let me go!” Wayne yelled as he was pulled out of the car. “You bitch!” He yell when he saw Teresa.
“What! You should have sense some mischief when I agreed to help you. As soon as I said yes to your proposal, I called June and told her everything and we came up with wonderful plan” Teresa said giving June a high-five.
“Say hello to all your inmate for me” Teresa added, waving him off.
“This is not over! I will come back for you two and will make you regret what you did today” Wayne yell.
“I doubt if you will be released quickly but if you somehow get out of jail, you will regret it cause I will make sure I find you and once I do, I will shred your limbs and every freaking part of you and feed it to the dogs….it isn’t a bluff, I mean what I just said. So,take it serious” Damian said, looking like the devil himself.
A frighten Wayne was pulled into the police car and out of sight.
“Let me offer you a ride home, Teresa” Damian said and that got Teresa melting.
“Why don’t you go first, Teresa and I have a lot to catch up on. Remember we agreed to go back to the apartment to talk” June said hoping her friend will play along but Teresa didn’t follow at all.
“When did we agree on that? We never talk about meeting each other” Teresa said.
“We did, try to remember” June said, stepping on Teresa foot.
“We did! I remember now” Teresa said, scowling at June.
They both stared at Damian, waiting for him to leave but instead the smart dude smiled and pulled Teresa aside to whisper something into her ear.
June watch as Teresa eyes almost pop out…what’s he saying to her?
“Erm… June, I left some pending work at home…we should save our discussion for some other time. See you later ” Teresa said, hurrying down the street in a rush.
“How about we leave too” Damian said, pulling her into the car before she could resist.
They were well into the street when she ask him.
“What did you say to Teresa? “
“Nothing much. I just told her she was being a third wheel and that if she doesn’t leave, I will have to fire her” Damian admitted.
“How could you say that to her! The poor thing must have been scared” June exclaim as he suddenly halt the car by the roadside.
He pulled off her seat belt and pulled her on his lap, drawing her head down to his to claim her lips.
June was too stun to pull away and so, she kissed him back, holding onto his shirt tightly while his hands every inch of her body.
Their breaths mingle as stared at each other, mesmerized by each other gaze.
“Never agree to do something risky again, I was so worried” he said,referring to what happen with Wayne.
He set her back on her seat and buckle up the seal belt before driving off.
They got back to Winter mansion, both deep in thought but their thoughts soon disperse when they met with a dispute between their family.
“How dare you call my daughter a gold digger! She only agree to stay here because your brother insisted that she stay. If there’s someone to warn, then you warn your brother to stay away from my daughter” Ruth was yelling at Davina and Martha while Nathan held her back.
“Mom” June called, running towards her while Damian went to Davina.
“It’s best you stop whatever nonsense you are doing here and go….”
“I won’t! I don’t know how she bewitch you but she didn’t do the same with me. This gold digger has got to know her place and her beggar family needs to know their place too”.
“I told you to stop but since you won’t listen, I will just have to use force” Damian said pulling Davina into the mansion, ignoring her screams.
“How can she call us a beggar. We aren’t one ” Ruth said sadly.
“Am sorry for Davina’s behaviour and to prevent this from happening again, I suggest you all leave” Martha said.
“Don’t worry, I have no intention of staying in this place and you can rest assured that as soon as we leave, the Peters won’t have anything to do with the Brooks again, I hope you make that clear to your son” Ruth said to Martha.
“Let’s go get our stuff and leave” Ruth said pulling her children to the guest room.
“Where’s June?” Damian ask when he saw his mother walk in.
“Where’s Davina?”
“I had her lock up in the study room. Tell me where June is?” Damian demanded.
“She’s leaving with her mom. It’s the best thing for everyone” Ruth said but Damian ignored her and was about to leave when she wrap her arms around his waist.
“Let her go. If you don’t…am going to do something crazy” Martha threaten.
“Really? You will leave everything you believe in just to be cruel to June and her family?” Damian ask.
“You leave me no choice” Martha said.
“Do whatever you want” Damian said pulling off her hand, he left the mansion.
He came across June and her family outside the guest house.
“Don’t try to stop us Mr Brooks, we are leaving and that’s that” Ruth said firmly.
“But no one is kicking you out, If you are worried about my sister, I can set her straight and….”
“Nathan, take mom to the estate entrance, I will join you two soon” June said and Nathan pulled a reluctant Ruth off with him.
“Must you leave?” Damian ask the moment they were alone.
“I must. I have overstayed my stay and it’s time to leave. Thank you for everything and….”
“I don’t want your thanks!” He bit out angrily and she smiled.
“That’s all I have to give you for everything you’ve done for my family and I. Really, am grateful to you for your help but it’s time I leave “
“What if I don’t want you to leave?” Damian ask.
“We both know that that will bring more chaos. So let’s keep it as this and get on with our lives, once again am grateful for your help, thanks a lot Damian” with that said, June left……
Episode 15 & 16 : The Real Story
<< RONALD APARTMENT ~ A WEEK LATER >>
“If you don’t get off of me, I will be late to work” Ronald said and reluctantly, Davina got off of him.
They were both lying on his bed after having the s*x the whole night.
“Don’t you think you deserve a holiday already, I am going to talk to Damian to give you some days off and…”
“You better not do that or I will be mad at you” Ronald said, wanting to get off but she wrap her arms around him, tantalizing him with the touch of her b**bs
“Am sorry. It’s just have been so stressed out lately and since you are my stress reliever, I wanted more time with you” she said, purring like a cat.
“Why are you stress?” Ronald ask.
“It’s about that June Peters. I might have manage to get her out of our home but I found out recently that she’s working in our company and it infuriates me” Davina said.
“Why should that infuriate you when you don’t work at the company, it’s not like you are going to see her”
“I know but am infuriated on Mitchell’s behalf. Ever since she left, My dumb brother have just been concern with the company, he doesn’t even give her a glance” Davina complain.
“Just leave them alone, they will get things sorted out”
“I can’t! I want Damian and Mitchell together and that’s why I have to get that gold digger out of the company, do you know how I can achieve that?” Davina ask.
“I don’t but I suggest that you leave them alone” Ronald said, getting out of bed to take a shower.
After getting ready for work, Ronald stood at the doorway about to leave when he turn to Davina who was waving him off.
“About Damian and June, you don’t have to worry about it cause a relationship between June and Damian is bound to be a disaster” He said, giving her a kiss on the forehead before leaving the room.

Damian stood in front of the large glass, starring down at the city, he was lost in thought until he caught a glimpse of someone familiar.
Someone he has hardly seen ever since she left his home a week ago. His eyes followed June and Teresa until they walk into the building and out of sight.
“She’s beautiful ” Stacey Willow is his new personal assistant recommended by his mom and although she’s a woman in her late fifties, she looks quite young for her age and people often mistake her that.
“When did you come in and why didn’t you knock?” Damian ask.
“I did knock but you were so busy starring at that pretty girl and come to think of it, have often seen her starring at this particular floor, is she your lover?” Stacey ask.
“She’s not and are you sure that you’ve seen her starring at this floor?” Damian ask.
“I have. I can swear if you want me to”
“You don’t have to do that” he replied taking the document from her.
“Instead of just peeping at her through the window, why not go to her and tell her how you feel” Stacey told him bluntly.
“She’s not interested”.
“But you can make her, I believe that we female tend to give in when we see how honest a guy is, show her your sincerity and she will be yours” Stacey advice.
“Thank you Stacey but I don’t intend to do that. We are both good on our own, like she said, we are from different world” Damian said, remembering the last thing she said to him.
“As you wish, I just hope you don’t regret it. I can tell from experience, don’t make the same mistake I did ” Stacey said before leaving the room.
While he work, Stacey words kept troubling him to the point where he could no longer concentrate on work.
Having decided, he pick up the telephone and made a call to the accounting team.
<< ACCOUNT DEPARTMENT >>
June was fighting a fight with the photocopy machine when Teresa found her.
“Have been looking for you” Teresa said breathlessly.
“Hang on a sec, let me finish photocopying this before giving me another task” June said.
“But it can’t wait. You’ve been summon by the big boss, Damian Brooks” Teresa whisper and that earn her June’s attention.
“Why?”
“I don’t know, Marcus have been looking for you ever since he got a call from Damian, according to him, he wants to see you” She said, excited for her friend.
“But I don’t want to see him” June said quickly.
“Are you still hell bent on the we don’t belong together thing common girl, it’s obvious you like him” Teresa said, hitting her lightly.
“I don’t. How can I fall for Damian when I just got out a terrible relationship. Once bitten, twice shy ” June said.
“That’s it! You are afraid to get hurt and that’s why you don’t want to give Damian a chance but he’s different, so very different from Wayne” Teresa reminded and when June said nothing, Teresa ask.
“But you feel something for him, right?”
“Attraction. Am only attracted to Damian and attraction are meant to die, do me a favour and tell Marcus that have caught the flu and I went to get some rest at the infirmary. To make it seem real, am heading there, so help me” June said giving her the copied document before leaving.
“You might be attracted to him but that guy is hopelessly in love with you and I doubt if he’s going to let you go” Teresa mutter and went to relay June’s message to Marcus.
<< INFIRMARY >>
After taking the drug the nurse gave to her, June decided to get some rest in the infirmary just to buy herself time.
She was on the verge falling asleep when a call on her phone intruded.
“If you don’t want Damian to meet you at the infirmary, I suggest you leave immediately” Teresa said.
“Don’t tell me he’s coming here” she said, sitting up.
“He just left out department, he is worried about you and he’s on his way to see you” Teresa told him.
“Oh no” June said ending the call. She got off the bed and headed to the door, ignoring the nurse who was talking to her.
As soon as she step outside, she saw him and immediately, she got back into the infirmary and went the nurse.
“Someone is on his way, if he show up just tell him that no one is here, please” June said and quickly went back to the bed to get under it.
She heard him arrive and the nurse did as she said, it wasn’t until she heard the door that she came out from the bed.
“You made me lie to the boss” the nurse said the moment she came out.
“Am sorry and am grateful” June said, dashing out of the room before he return.
June got back to her department only to be waylaid by Marcus.
“Go get the report from last week and take it up to Ronald, he has to inspect it before we take it to the big boss” Marcus said and immediately, she went to do his bidding, he’s the head of of their department after all.
And besides, Ronald office is quite far from Damian and there’s no chance of running into him.
She took the elevator which took her to the eighth floor a big difference to the thirteenth floor.
After announcing her arrival, she was led into the Ronald office.
“I was told to bring this document to you, sir” June said acting all professional while hoping he won’t recognize her, they only met once after all.
“Isn’t the sir a bit much, you should address me as Ronald” he said and laugh when he saw the uneasy expression on her face.
“I was just teasing you. I heard everything from Damian, you were faking it because someone force you to” Ronald said.
“I hope all is settled now” Ronald ask and she nodded.
“Since your inspection will take a while, I will come back for….”
“Why bother when you can just wait, you can seat over there, I will be as fast as I can” Ronald said and she did as he said, feeling a bit uncomfortable when he look up from his desk to smile at her.
She was dozing off when he finish with the inspection.
“You must have been tired” he said, noticing her asleep earlier.
“A little” June said as she pick up the document to leave but he stop her.
“You’ve got a drool on your mouth” he said and she wipe the wrong place.
“Is that okay?” She ask but instead of replying, he got up and walk towards her, leaning down a little to help wipe off the stain.
And that was how Damian met them when he arrive.
Seeing Ronald touching June made him boil with rage and jealousy.
Walking towards them, he took hold of June hand and pulled her towards him.
“Have been looking all over for you and it turns out….you are here with Ronald” Damian said, watching his friend.
“She just brought the annual report sheet for me to inspect ” Ronald explain.
“Can you give us sometime alone” Damian said and Ronald left.
All her effort not to see him got ruined thanks to Ronald, he should have just let her leave and return later to get the document.
“What were you two doing?” Damian ask.
“I doze off a bit and he was helping me to clean off my drool and….”
“I don’t see any drool on you” he remark,holding her jaw to inspect it but she pulled away.
“You don’t have to believe my word and I don’t care, am leaving, sir” she said heading to the door but when they heard Mitchell calling Ronald from outside.
He pulled her into the little room made for Ronald to take a rest.
“There’s no one here, where is that knuckle head” Mitchell said and when she saw no one in, she left.
June stood with her back against the door while Damian tower over her, standing very close too.
“Why did we hide?” June ask.
“That’s because I don’t want to talk to her, right now, you are the only one I want to talk to” he said softly.
“But we don’t have anything to say to each other” June said, looking away from him nervously.
“We have a lot to talk about but I want to talk about the most important one” he said, his hand snaking around her waist.
She felt him sniffing her hair then he gave her a kiss on her forehead, moving onto her eyes, her nose, her neck.
“You said you have something important to…say” a gasp left her lips when he bit her neck softly.
“I do…I do have a lot of things to say but I can’t seem to concentrate now that you are in my arms” He whispered into her ear.
The door to room open, revealing Ronald.
“What are you two doing?” He ask,not bothered that he intruded.
June saw this as an escape and she took it, dashing out of the room before Damian could stop her.
“I thought you said it’s over between you two, Do you plan on pursuing her?” Ronald ask Damian whose head was clouded by June’s smell.
“Do you know where June lives?” He ask instead.
<< EVENING >>
June was could be seen running in the rain, she had her bag over her head but it did nothing to prevent her from getting wet.
She had just made it to the street which led to the apartment she share with Teresa when she ran into someone.
She stop to see an umbrella over her head and in front of her stood Damian.
“What are you doing here?”
“I knew you will be running in the rain and so, I decided to wait here for you” he said, smiling at her.
“I have something to tell you. One is a bad news and the other is a solution to it. Which do you prefer I say first?” Damian ask.
“Bad news”
“Wayne has been freed from jail” he inform.
“What!”
“Someone got him a lawyer and he got out after paying bail ” Damian said.
“I can’t believe this” June said, feeling scared once again.
“I mention having a solution to bad news” he reminded and she stared at him.
“What’s this solution?”
“By marrying me. Once we are married, Wayne will stop bothering you for good” he said shocking her into silence……
Episode 17 & 18 : Double Dealing
<< JUNE AND TERESA APARTMENT >>
“But why will the cops release Wayne?” Ask Teresa as she brought two cup of tea, placing the first one in front of Damian and the other in front of June.
“Due to lack of evidence and his bail was paid” Damian said, sipping his tea.
“I can’t believe this! So a dangerous man should be free due to lack of evidence, I feel like hitting one or two cops” Teresa blurt out.
“Don’t you have anything to say?” Teresa demanded when June kept quiet.
But June’s thought was bothered by what Damian told her earlier in the rain, she had made up an excuse about leaving the rain and invited him to her house just so she won’t give him an answer.
“All I know is that someone is helping him and I think it is that man that wanted to buy me” June said, looking wistful.
“Which is why I propose a solution but you haven’t given me an answer” Damian turn to her.
Sensing the tension between them, Teresa excuse herself and left the apartment, giving them time to talk alone.
“It’s a no Damian. I can’t marry you” she said, putting a distance between them by getting up.
“Why?”
“You should know why. We are not in love with each other, a marriage between us can’t work” June said.
“You are right in saying we don’t love each other but there is attraction, you are attracted to me as much as I am to you,right?” He ask, waiting for a reply but Teresa chose that moment to return and she had a scared look on her face.
“June, your mom is here!” Teresa inform.
“What! She didn’t tell me she’s coming” June reply, looking worried.
“I suggest you answer her when she arrive and as for you Mr Brooks, You’ve got to hide” Teresa said.
“Why?”
“You haven’t forgotten what happen during our stay in your house,my mom is still upset about it and she’s definitely going to take it out on you once she sees you” June told him.
Reluctantly, he went up stairs with Teresa while June welcome her mom.
“Sorry for coming unannounce, I just wanted to see you and know how you are and also I brought some side dishes for you and Teresa, where’s Teresa?” Ruth ask.
“Am here, mother” Teresa called as she came running downstairs.
“I snell something yummy! As always you are the best Mrs Ruth ” Teresa said, giving June’s mom a hug.
“I hope you eat this and stay healthy, I don’t want you guys eating junk food and getting thinner, no one will want to marry you if are as thin as a broom” Ruth admonish.
“Then June and I can stay single and take care of you till eternity ” Teresa joke, getting a smack on the back.
“What about Nathan?” June ask.
“Still at school, it’s exam period and he has been busy studying” June inform.
The smash of something upstairs stole everyone attention.
“What’s that? Is someone upstairs?” Ruth ask both girls.
“No one is there, we are the only one at home” Teresa said quickly but Ruth didn’t buy it.
“One good thing I can tell about you two is that I know when you are lying and you are lying to me right now, you’ve got a man here” Ruth said, walking past them to take the stairs.
“There’s really no one here with us and you are intruding in our privacy, mom” June said as they followed her upstairs.
“There’s nothing like privacy when it comes to a child welfare. If one you is dating someone then I will like to meet him”
“What if he doesn’t want to meet you?” June said quickly.
“Why won’t he? Am not some sort of ogre and I won’t chase him off as long as he isn’t Damian Brook, I don’t want that man around you and you too” Ruth said to Teresa as they all stood in front of the door way.
“Why don’t you want Damian Brooks around us? As far as I know he’s a good catch” Teresa said.
“What’s the point of being a good catch when he has a harsh family? I don’t care how much of a catch he is, I don’t want you around him. If I had my way, I won’t let you work in his company” Ruth said, opening the door and going into the room.
There was no sight of anyone except for a photo frame which was lying on the floor broken.
“We told you, there’s no one here” June said and while Teresa took her mom out of the room, June lingered around, wondering where Damian was.
A thud came from her wardrobe and immediately, she open it to see Damian curled in it.
“Are you okay?” June ask.
“Though am a bit cramp but am okay. Is she gone?” He ask.
“Not yet. Stay here until she leaves, if she sees you then we are all dead” she said, closing the wardrobe door before leaving the room.
Her mother stayed for about two hours more before leaving. June went back upstairs to check on Damian and she found him still curled up in the wardrobe, asleep.
She crouch in front of the wardrobe, starring at his sleeping face.
June couldn’t deny that he look more handsome while asleep, her hand itch to set right a loose tendril of his hair and she was about doing so when he took hold of her hand and pulled her on his laps.
“See, you are attracted to me much more than you think” he whispered, pulling her head down for a kiss.
He had meant to make it a short, fleeting kiss but as soon as her lips touch his, he couldn’t stop himself.
But he let go when his leg began to hurt, they both got out of the wardrobe, trying to steady their breathing.
“Are you okay?” June ask seeing the way he was holding his leg.
“I am… Is your still a no?” He ask.
“It is, Damian. You are right, am attracted to you but that’s all it will ever be. I want to get married to someone who loves me and someone I will love in return but we both don’t feel that, attraction isn’t the basis for marriage, it’s only going to be disastrous if we get married and so…am refusing your marriage proposal”.
“What about Wayne? He’s out of jail and will be after you once again”
“I will handle that. It’s time you stop helping me and my family, am grateful for everything you’ve done for us but I no longer want to be a burden to you”.
“You are not a burden to me and I will hire some few bodyguards for you and…..”
“You don’t have to”.
“I want to. Allow me that to know you are safe” Damian insist and she had no choice but to accept.
<< STATION >>
The rain was pouring hard when Wayne left the police station and into the waiting car.
“RJ sent you right? I know he wouldn’t leave me to rot in here” Wayne said smiling brightly but the lawyer beside him didn’t smile back instead, he said.
“RJ wants to see you” The lawyer gave the driver instructions and in no time they got to an hotel where Wayne was taken to a room by the receptionist.
“What’s up RJ” Wayne called, the moment he saw RJ in the room.
“Happy to be free?” RJ ask as he set down his glass.
“Of course. Now that I am out thanks to you, I need to work harder to help you get what you want which is June”
“About that….you no longer have to worry about it”
“Why?” Wayne ask quickly.
“Cause you are a total failure. All I asked you to do is to get me a girl but you’ve failed me twice which is why I no longer want you handling it, I will take care of it from now on” RJ inform.
“But I can still do it. I can get you the girl, just give me another….”
“Chance? Hell no! You’ve drained me enough with your stupidity, did you know how much I payed to get you out of jail?”
“You can’t discard me! You can’t throw me away after everything I did for you” Wayne said, feeling hurt.
“What exactly did you do?”
“Have you forgotten that it was you who gave us the order to kill Damian, you told us to find a way to kill him and we did….”
“And you failed. You, Greg and that loan shark…you three failed cause Damian is still alive” RJ yelled at him.

Wayne knelt on the floor thinking about everything that has happen, anger taking over his head.
“You want to throw me away then I might as well hurt you in return” he muttered and got off the floor.

With the rain still pouring outside, June shut the curtain to keep out the cold when the door bell ring.
Thinking it was Teresa who had gone out to buy a portable charger, she open the door without checking and there stood a wet Wayne.
On instinct, she tried to shut the door but Wayne kick it back, pulling her by the hair in the process.
“Let me go, Wayne” June cried out but he slam her hard against the wall.
“This is all your fault. If only you had come with me, if only you had gone to RJ willingly, I won’t be left with nothing” he said as she slid down to the floor.
“I was once in love with you but slowly the love in me died and I only wanted to get rid of you but I couldn’t and so I decided to use you to get some bit of cash from that Damian but you called the cops ruining everything and when RJ came along showing an interest in you, I tried to sell you off but still….you ruined it all and now, he has discarded me which is why am going to get back at him by hurting you. With your face scarred, he wouldn’t want you anymore” he said, Kicking her multiple of times on the stomach.
He took hold of her hair, forcing her to stand only to push her back on the floor.
June was so hurt to do anything, she couldn’t even move when she saw him pulling out a pocket knife.
“Don’t worry, I won’t scar you that much, just a little to remind you of me for the rest of your god damn life” he said, bending over her to cut her face but at that moment someone came to her rescue…
