Episode 49 & 50 : The Last Hop
<< WINTER MANSION >>
“She still won’t eat, right?” Martha ask as Davina and Ruth came down the stairs with June’s uneaten food.
“She refuse to say a thing and that has been ever since Justin was arrested yesterday” Davina said.
“This can’t go on for long” Martha said.
“She still believe us to be the bad guy” Davina added.
“If only we can show her that we are the good guy. By the way, where is Damian?”
“Right here'” Damian said, leaving his study room.
“She didn’t eat?” Damian ask and they nodded.
“You need to do something” Ruth said.
Silently, he took the tray from them and went to his room which had June sleeping on his bed.
“I heard you refuse to eat. Is there something specific you want, I can help you get it” He said, standing by the side of the bed.
“There’s one thing I want and that’s to leave. Let me leave” she said, sitting up to stare at him.
Damian knelt in front of her and took hold of her hand.
“I already told you that we are your real family. I am your husband and….”
“And just because you are my husband, am meant to stay here with you. I don’t know anything about you!”
“You will get to know in time. Devon confess to using a drug to wipe off your memory but in time you will remember everything including how much you love me” Damian said, kissing her hand but she pull away.
“I don’t know you and I don’t want to. If you keep me here for long then I will end up hating you, I will….”,
“Fine, you want to leave then put on your shoes. I will take you out of here ” he suddenly said, startling her into silence.
A while later, they left the mansion in his car and June who was seated by his side kept starring at him, wondering where he was taking her.
It wasn’t until the car halt in front of a hospital that she turn to him.
“Why are we here?”
“To show you something. Get down” he ordered and together they went into the hospital and was taken to the mortuary by the man in charge.
“Where’s the body?” Damian ask and they were both taken to where Violet body was kept.
On seeing her sister dead body, June buried her face against Damian chest, feeling scared and hurt.
“Am sorry if this scare you but I have to show it to you, so you can know the kind of devil Justin and Devon are”
“We found her weeks ago and I didn’t want her buried cause I wanted you present and am glad I didn’t have her buried since you need to see the real Violet for you to believe you are June” He added, pulling her back to stare at Violet dead body.
“Did they….really do this to her?” June ask.
“They did since they needed us to believe you are dead” he said as his phone began to ring.
He wanted to ignore at first but on seeing the caller, he decided to answer it.
“Justin got out of jail, he got himself a lawyer and since we have no crucial evidence, we could do nothing to stop the bail” Jeremiah inform.
” Isn’t Mitchell testimony enough to put him jail” he said softly, not wanting June to hear him.
“It’s her word against his and June doesn’t remember a thing or has she?”
“She hasn’t. We can’t let him out of jail, we need to do something”
“And that something is by getting a concrete evidence” Jeremiah said.
“All you need is evidence, right? Well then have got something in mind and I need everyone’s cooperation” Damian said.

Mark walk into the room to find Justin smoking.
“I’m glad I brought you with me or I would be in a dilemma ” Justin said puffing out his cigarette.
“What do you plan to do now?”
“I plan to get June. Devon has been arrested and so the only thing left now is to get June and wipe off Parker so she can inherit the whole thing and I get to take it from her”
“Do you think it will work? Damian will be protecting her”.
“He will but he won’t be able to stand in my way. Have come far already and I won’t let a teeny weeny Brooks ruin it all. Get some men and I wan you to hire the best of them, we will be raiding the Brooks Mansion” Justin inform, a crazy smirk splaying on his face.
<< WINTER MANSION ~ STILL THE SAME DAY >>
Just like his boss ordered him, Mark hired ten men for the job and when the day got dark, they secretly made their way into the winter mansion.
Damian was on the phone in his study, oblivious to Justin and his men arrival.
“Yeah, everyone has gone to the family villa. They will be coming tomorrow. Yeah, I will be joining them soon and…” He couldn’t end his conversation because Justin took it from him, alerting him of his presence.
“So everyone including June is at the family Villa?” Justin ask.
“You are out of jail?”
“Surprise? I thought that crazy cop of yours would have inform you, didn’t he?”
“He did but I didn’t expect you to be here” Damian said as Mark came into the room.
“No one is here, boss” Mark verified.
“I know. They are all at the family Villa and we are going to join them” Justin said.
“If you think that I will tell you where the villa is then you are wrong. Do you really have to take it far? First, you killed Violet and abduct June posing her off as Violet just to get an inheritance which doesn’t belong to you” Damian yell at him.
“So? It’s what I want and you know the craziest part of all is that no matter how many times I do it, there will be no prove against me. It’s the reason why I was freed”.
“I killed Violet, I abduct June and brainwash her about her life with you just to get her inheritance and I would have achieve that if it wasn’t for your meddling. Anyway, I am here to take June with me, we will get married as we should have and I take the inheritance from her. Now lead the way to the villa!” Justin ordered and when Damian refuse, he gave Damian a punch on the face.
The punch got Damian falling but it didn’t hurt him Instead, Damian began to laugh.
“What’s funny, you fool!” Justin demanded.
“Well, it’s just funny to see how you walk into my trap like the idiot you are. No proof you say, well, you just made one for us” Damian said getting off the floor.
“Am sure you all heard him confessing. Then he won’t be getting a bail this time, right?” Damian said, starring into the CCTV camera that was in the room.
“Shit you played me” Justin said, pointing his gun at Damian.
He was about to shoot when the Jeremiah and his team barge in.
“You wouldn’t want to add more to your crime. I suggest you put down your gun” Jeremiah said, pointing his gun at him.
When he still didn’t put it down, two cops took hold of him, forcing him down.
“All of your men have been captured, thanks for giving us the evidence to prosecute you with” Jeremiah said mocking him.
“And just so you know. June knows everything thanks to you saying the truth ” Damian said opening a door to reveal June who he had kept hidden there so she will listen to the truth.
“You can’t fool anyone anymore, you will be spending the rest of your life in jail, I can assure you that” Damian added as they pulled Justin out of the room.
“Believe me now?” Damian ask June who stood silent in his arms.
June chose not say anything instead, she put her arms around him, giving him a hug which got him smiling and whispering to himself.

Episode 51 & 52 (FINAL CHAPTER) : June’s Happy Ending
<< CEMETERY ~ A WEEK LATER >>
Under the downpour, everyone associated with the late Violet stood under their umbrella, watching her casket being covered by sand.
“May she rest in your bossom. The grace” the priest said as everyone recite the grace.
When the ceremony ended, Ruth chose to go home while Davina insisted on taking her in her car with Nathan tagging along.
Damian drove his mother and June back to the mansion.
“I will go and get some rest ” June said, excusing herself.
“It’s been a long tiring day, she needs the rest” Damian said to his mother who gave a nod.
“She does but it will be more better if you are with her, she might not remember Violet but she will definitely be affected by her death, go and be with your wife” Martha urge and he did as she said.
Now that Justin, Devon and Mitchell are locked behind bars, everything seems to be going well except for June who has yet to recover her memory.
She act around him with caution and courtesy. She hardly talk to him except he did with her, they were just like strangers….Damian thought as he walk into the room.
He found her in bed, holding onto her head.
“Are you okay?” He ask, joining her on the bed.
“I…I have this throbbing headache…it’s…it’s bringing back some memory, could it be the memory I lost?” June ask, still holding onto her head.
“It could. Tell me what you remember”.
“Well I remember a party, a garden party that I prepare for you and I remember Violet showing up dressed as me”
“That was a long time ago, what else do you remember? ” Damian said.
“I remember dating Wayne in the past and there is Ronald and….” She stared at him, hesitating on the last part.
“And?”
“And I remember us having a fight about having a child” She said.
“Among all the things, you had to remember that” he muttered, making sure she didn’t hear him.
“Why were you against us having a child?” June ask.
“Back then, I was told that it will be impossible for me to have a child, I knew how much you wanted it and I didn’t want to hurt you which was why I kept stalling, refusing to have a child but then….I got a second and third opinion from two different hospital and i got to know that I can have a child, the first diagnosis was wrong” Damian explain.
“So you can have a child with me, right?” June ask and he nodded.
Immediately, she got off the bed and sat on his laps.
“June” Damian call in surprise.
“I know you are surprise, I am also surprise by my action but I want you. I haven’t recall everything about us but I do know that I feel something for you, something very strong which is why I don’t feel shy or nervous doing this and you shouldn’t feel the same” June said, showering kisses from his face to his throat.
“Love me, Damian. Love me as you’ve always done” she whispered into his ear and that got him smashing his lips on hers.
The kiss went on for a while and during that moment, June had taken off his top, her hands exploring his body.
A groan left his lips and he set her down on the bed, loosening the lace which held her top together.
He peeled it off her and took off her br@ to explore her b**bs which have always drive him nuts ever since they first made love.
He suck on the first one and then the other one, making June moan out in pleasure.
He kiss a trail down her stomach and proceed to getting rid of the rest of clothes.
He kissed every inch of her body leaving her panting for more and when she could take it no more, she pulled him towards her.
“Take me Damian, take me please” it came out as a whisper but it did a lot to Damian nerve.
Taking off his trouser, he lay over her, burying himself into her.
Then slowly, he began to move within her both moaning in pleasure.
He did everything she want, pleasing her every way possible and when they both climax, they knew that nothing and no one will ever come between them again.
<< RUTH’S APARTMENT >>
After dropping Ruth and Nathan home, Davina head back to her car.
She was about driving off when she saw Nathan waving for her to wait.
She watch him get into the car, breathing heavily. He must have been running just to catch up with her.
“Did you forget something?”,
“Yes!No! Well, not exactly. My mom didn’t forget a thing but I did forget something” Nathan said.
“Which is?”
“During our trip to Rome. I got to know you well and I realise that you are not the kind of person I thought you to be” Nathan said, finding it hard to look at her directly.
“And what kind of person did you think me to be?” Davina ask.
“A snob, you were like that when we first came to stay at your house but then….I got to know you and I realise that there’s a sweet side of you that no one knows except for me”
“Well… Thanks ” Davina said, blushing by his compliment.
“Which is why have decided to take the bull by the horn and ask you to go on a date with me this Saturday” he said and when she said nothing, he added quickly.
“You don’t want to? Is it because you think am not someone of your calibre?”
“No! I really want to go with you but our age diff…..” Davina words were left unsaid when Nathan gave her a kiss.
“Are you still thinking about our age difference?” He ask when the kiss ended and she shook her head, smiling at him.
“Then it’s a date?”
“It’s a date” Davina replied, earning another kiss from him.
“See you this weekend” he said, leaving her car to wave her off.
<< TWO YEARS LATER ~ AIRPORT >>
“Where the hell is he?” A pregnant June cried while waiting for Damian to arrive so they can leave.
“He will be here soon. Maybe he’s dealing with a business or so” Teresa, June’s best friend said, carrying a one year old Mary Brooks in her arms.
“He told me last night that his business won’t get in the way of our trip and now, he’s keeping us waiting for him” June said.
“Okay, am sure that when he gets here, he will make it up to you all, so just sit down, you need to think of the little baby” Teresa said, making her seat.
“Enough about me, tell me what you’ve been up to. I know you are seeing the guy in charge of the HR team” June said, nudging her friend.
“I am and just last night, he ask me to marry him and I said, yes” Teresa said, showing her the engagement ring.
“Am so happy for you Teresa. I do hope the wedding won’t happen now, I need to be there to be your maid of honour” June said.
“Don’t worry, the wedding won’t commence until you return” Teresa said and they both gave each other a hug,almost crushing Mary and the unborn baby.
“My love! Am here, am here! Am so sorry, an investor showed up just when I was leaving and I couldn’t…..”
“Enough! Just get me to the plane. I need to rest” June said.
Damian took his daughter from Teresa arms and after saying their goodbye, they went to their private plane.
After putting Mary to sleep, both couple sat side by side going through the net for a baby name for their son which was due in three months.
“You know if you weren’t pregnant, I might have let us join the mile high club” Damian said suddenly.
“And what’s the mile high club?” June ask and he said the answer into her ear, making her laugh out while he gave her a naughty look.
“Well, we might not be able to join the mile high club but that doesn’t mean we can’t kiss and cuddle” June said, leaving her seat to sit on his lap.
They kissed for a while and held each other, simply enjoying being in each other arms.
“I love you Mrs Brooks”
“And I love you Mr Brooks” June said and they were about to kiss again when Mary cry from the room pull them apart.
“There goes our child” June said getting up and Damian got up too, following her into the room to take care of their little Mary…..
