Episode 31 & 32 : Damian Vs. Ronald

“Where do you want me to take you to?” Ronald ask the moment he got into the car.
“To my mother. I will direct you as we go” June said still feeling tense and as soon as Ronald start the engine, A car came out of nowhere to obstruct it’s path.
Ronald and June watch Damian get out of the car to open the passenger door and pull June out of the car.
“Thanks Ronald but I will take my wife wherever she wants to go” Damian said to Ronald as he walk towards them.
“But I already offer to take her to where she wants to go” Ronald said, taking hold of June’s hand.
“It’s my job as her husband to take her anywhere. I appreciate your offer but I can take care of my wife” Damian said, pulling Ronald hand off June.
“Thanks Ronald” June said as Damian took her to his car.
Their car was down the street when Ronald kick his car in anger.
” Everything is ruin now” he said under his breath, ignoring the look he got from the security men outside.
<< RUTH HOME >>
“Mother! Mother! Are you okay?” June ask as she ran into the apartment, hugging her mom.
“I am. What’s wrong?” Ruth ask, starring at Damian who gave a shrug since he knew nothing.
A while later and after telling them about the letter, June knelt in front of her mom, holding onto her hand.
“Please tell me who she is and no lies” June said and Ruth let out a sigh.
“It’s a long story but before I begin, I want you to know that I love you, I love you as if you were my child” Ruth said, caressing June’s face.
“What do you mean by I was your child? Aren’t I one?”
“You aren’t my birth child. I adopted you at an orphanage called Hope orphanage and you were a twin, June” Ruth admit as June stood up, finding Ruth’s revelation a bit shocking.
She had always thought Ruth to be her birth mom and now….Damian took hold of her hand and made her seat beside him on the sofa.
“I wanted a child badly and the doctor told me I had no hope and then I met two identical twins when I went to help at an orphanage home. I could remember back then that you had bruises on your body and I had to force the truth out of the lady in charge of the orphanage”.
“She told me that your twin sister, Violet gave you those bruise. I didn’t believe it until I witness it myself, I remember that she had you pin against the wall and while you beg her to stop, she kept choking you, screaming that you die”.
“It was a horrid scene. I learnt from the workers there that Violet have always disliked you, she always complain about you having the same face, about you sharing the same things and that she completely want you gone. Each time she hurts you, she always promise to change but go back on her word. I realise then that I had to get you out of there before Violet harm you”.
“But when Violet found out, she insisted on coming with me too. She wanted me to adopt her but I couldn’t…I couldn’t let her harm you. Instead, I offer to take her to an hospital where she will get treatment and she agreed back then. Everything was prepared for her to go get her treatment and we thought that things will work but Violet had something else in mind”.
“She started a fire and lock you two up in the room. You were injured in your head when we got you out but Violet….she was nowhere to be found”.
“We did our best to look for her but all to no avail and when you woke up after being in a coma for a week, you forgot everything including your name. Your father and I left the city and came here to live with you, to start afresh and then we had Nathan. You two are a blessing to me and I will never ever trade you for anything or anyone”.
“If Violet is after me then let her. She must have been angry that I chose you instead of her and so….if she wants to harm me then let her but I won’t tolerate it if she touch you” Ruth finish hotly.
June left her seat and went to give Ruth a hug.
“I love you mom and I appreciate you for everything you’ve done for me and you will always be my mom, you wilk forever be my mom” June said and Ruth tighten her arms around her.
While Damian and Ruth spoke in the sitting room, June went to Nathan’s room to make a call.
“So? Has Ruth told you everything” Violet shrill voice came down the line.
“She has and you did a great job at scaring earlier”.
“I wasn’t scaring you. I really wanted to do it but I had to control myself for RJ sake” Violet return.
“RJ? Do you work with RJ and Wayne?” June ask.
“Wayne? I don’t know who the hell that is but RJ, I do know him and I know that he’s someone who desperately wants you. If it were up to me, I would have kill you along with Ruth but am only holding back for his sake” Violet said.
“Let’s meet” June found herself saying.
“Gosh! I was about to say that too but if we meet it will be on my term. Are you that desperate for us to meet each other?” Violet ask.
“I am”.
“Good then. If you want us to meet soon,let’s do it on your husband birthday. I know he will be having a party and so, we will do it that day” Violet said and end the call.
<< TWO DAYS LATER ~ DAMIAN BIRTHDAY ~ WINTER MANSION >>
“Happy birthday sleepy head” The voice came into his ear and Damian smile and open his eyes, expecting it to be June but he was disappointed to see Mitchell.
“Thanks” he said, taking the gift she offered him. They were in his room and on his bed.
“Your disappointed that I’m not June, right. Does that mean that am the first to greet you a happy birthday, this goes to show how good of a wife I will make if you marry me” Mitchell said softly.
“I am married already” Damian told her.
“But you two are on the verge of separating. If she loves you, she will be here wishing you a happy birthday, she won’t be at the guest house with her family and most importantly, she will be sharing your bed with you. I can do everything, I will do everything to make you happy so just… “
“If you are done wishing my husband, I’d like you to leave since I myself want to wish him and I want it to be private” June said, standing at the doorway.
“And why do you think I will listen….”
“Do as she says, Mitchell” Damian cut her off and angrily, Mitchell left the room.
“What you heard Mitchell say….it’s nothing, she was just…..”
“It’s okay and I know you don’t care about her the way she wants you to. Blow on it and make a wish” June said, putting the cake in front of him.
“Your mother and I have been busy baking this five in the morning. It’s the reason she beat me to it, first” June said and he smile.
“About today’s party, if you….”
“I will. It’s the only way for things to end and so you just have to do your part while I do mine. Can you promise me that?” June ask and he nodded.
Unknown to them, Mitchell stood at the doorway listening in on their conversation. The arrival of Damian younger sister got her leaving in a hurry.
As soon as she got to her car, she made a call to Ronald.
“Everything is fine here. You can carry on with the plan tonight” Mitchell said.
<< EVENING ~ PARTY >>
June stood at the end of the garden watching everyone.
She saw her mom and Nathan chatting away with Martha and Damian younger sister.
Davina and Mitchell stood with their friends, talking and laughing away while the birthday celebrant stood in the midst of some of his executives, chatting away.
None of them notice her leave the garden, neither did they see her leaving the mansion through the back entrance.
As soon as she came out through the gate, she saw Violet waiting beside a car with two men in toll.
Just like Violet wanted, June had gotten the same clothe and had sent it to her anonymously.
It had been Violet request if she wanted them to meet each other and June did everything just so the meeting will be possible.
“Since you have your hair down, I better do the same” Violet said, letting her hair loose.
“You asking me to get you the same dress is so that you can pretend to be me?” June ask and Violet nodded.
“Bingo. I thought you had an ulterior motive doing everything I told you to do but now I see that you are just plain stupid. Do you think that I won’t have something up my sleeve? You haven’t change at all, you are still the same gullible twin I knew years ago and now, you turn out to be worse. Get her!” Violet said as the two men with her took hold of June.
“Let go of me! This isn’t what we talk about Violet!” June yell at her.
“It isn’t and like I said, you are too gullible. Anyway, they will take you a safe place where you will be transported to another city to begin a new life with RJ and I will stay here pretending to be you until you are out of the country” Violet inform.
“RJ? Tell me who RJ is!” June demanded.
“Lovely sis, you will get to meet him soon and you should be grateful to him. He is the only reason why I didn’t kill you” Violet said, waving at the men who hit June behind the neck and when she lost consciousness, they pulled her into the car and drove off.
On the other hand, Violet return to the party pretending to be June and she succeeded in fooling everyone including Damian.
She was sipping a glass of champagne when Damian came to her and whisper into her ear.
“Come, I have something to show you” He said, pulling her out of the garden.
“Where are we going?” Violet ask, acting like June.
“It’s a surprise” he reply, pulling her into the mansion.
“Where is the surprise?” Violet ask when she saw nothing in the room.
“You are” he said, walking around her.
“It’s so easy for you to fool everyone but you can’t fool me. You are not June, you are Violet!” Damian said, taking hold of her arm.
“What do you mean by that! I am June and…..”
“Shut up and tell me where June is!” Damian said, Shaking her and that got Violet laughing.
“I thought I manage to fool you like I did the first time but your too smart. June is gone, she’s probably being taken out of the country, you won’t get to see her again unless I say so” Violet said, feeling triumphant.
“Aren’t you going to beg? Shouldn’t you be pleading that I tell you where she is?” Violet added when she saw him watching her.
“I don’t have to since I know June is safe. You really think you and RJ are the only one with a plan” Damian said and immediately the door open to reveal five police men.
“She set me up!” Violet said as the officers point their gun at her.
“You are just a bait, Violet. The one we are after is RJ and you’ve just sent June to him. Don’t worry about being in jail alone, RJ will be there to keep you company” Damian told her…..
Episode 33 & 34 : A Twin’s Betrayal

June was pretending to be asleep at the back seat when the car she was in halt.
She open her eyes gently to see the two men getting out of the car.
Are they going to see RJ? Maybe she should get up and have a look as well….June thought and was about to do that when the door open.
“We know you are awake, get out of the car ” one of her abductors said and slowly she got out of the car.
“Where are you taking me to?” June demand but instead of replying they pulled her towards a car which headlight was enough to blind someone.
“She’s here, RJ” The other guard said to whoever is in the car.
June heard the door open and saw Ronald walking towards them.
“You are RJ!” June yell, shock to her bones to see a man Damian have always trusted.
“I will take charge now, you two can leave” Ronald said and immediately, the two men left.
“I can’t believe it’s you, My Gawd! Damian trust you and he thinks of you as his friend but you….you’ve been trying to cause him harm by trying to take me away” June said with anger.
“Friend? I was never his friend and I never will be and as for you….I saw you first, I was the one who knew you first and so, it’s right for me to take you away from him” Ronald reveal.
“How come I don’t know you when you claim you knew me first?” June ask.
“You might not remember but we met at Hope orphanage when we were young. I hated going to such place with my mom but after meeting you, I frequented it cause of you”.
“Have always felt this attraction towards you. That I wanted to protect you and when that fire happen, I was so lost. I didn’t know where you were or how to contact you”.
“But I saw you again three years ago. I could remember that I approach you but you didn’t recognize me and then I got someone to follow you and he told me everything I needed to know about you and that’s including you dating Wayne”.
“I wanted him out of your life but there was nothing I could do since you were madly in love with him but as luck will have it, I got to know about what he told you to do with Damian. I felt like killing him but instead, I offered to buy you but the good for nothing didn’t do that right which made me end his life”.
“You killed Wayne?” A shocked June ask.
“The scoundrel prove to be worthless and I don’t tolerate worthless people” Ronald replied.
“After Wayne’s death, Violet contacted me and told me of her plan to kill you and your mom but I persuaded her to leave you for me….you realise that if it weren’t for me, Violet would have kill you?”
“Should I be grateful for that?” June ask in return.
“Of course. I saved your @ss and that is why you belong to me. Damian isn’t the man for you, I am the right man for you” he said, taking a step towards her but she move away from him.
“You aren’t the man for me. You aren’t even right for anyone. You are sick Ronald and you need treatment!”
“I’m not sick! “
“You are sick! If you weren’t sick, you wouldn’t be this obsess about me”
“It’s not obsession June, it’s love. Have always love you” Ronald said, looking like a crazy man.
“Well, I don’t love you. My heart was never yours from the start and it will never be yours” she said, turning to leave but Ronald caught her.
“Let go of me, Ronald. The police are on their way, it’s over” June cried out and that made his hold on her lessen.
“You called the cops on me?”
“Right now, am sure Violet is being taken to jail and soon enough you will be following her. See this?” She said, pointing to a button on her gown.
“It’s a hidden camera and you’ve just confess all your crime. If you try to lay a hand on me, that will add up to your list of crime” June inform.
She watch his expression to that of pain but when he looked at her, he was angry.
He tore off the camera and lift her over his shoulder.
“Have come this far June and I won’t let you get away from me” He said and head back to his car.
He was trying to get her into it when the police arrive. They got out of their car and point the gun at him.
“Let her go!” The police in charge said to him.
As soon as Ronald put her down, she ran to the cops for cover.
“Now step away from your car and put your hand on the back of your head” the police said and Ronald comply.
“You know this is hilarious. All I wanted is you, June. And with all of my effort I still don’t have you….if loving you will be my death then I will gladly accept it” he said.
The officers might not understand what he just said but June did but when she tried to stop him, the officer with her didn’t let her go.
“He’s going to do something to himself, you need to….” June stop talking when she saw Ronald jumping off the bridge.
It was too late to stop him and the decision he made that night, ended his life.
<< TWO WEEKS LATER >>
A lady dress in black could be seen going into Mitchell and Ronald apartment.
As soon as Davina walk in, she called out to Mitchell but there was no reply.
She was about going upstairs to look for her when something caught her gaze.
Davina walk towards the table and pick up the letter directed to her.
When she read the content, Davina left the apartment in a hurry, dialing Mitchell number while hoping she answer the phone.

It was the company field trip day and in the private auditorium that was specially design for the company event are all workers, having fun.
June and Teresa were in the restroom touching up their makeup when Teresa broke the silence.
“I can’t believe the accounting team is losing. We always lose when it comes to this field trip and that’s why I didn’t want to come but you force me!”
“Apart from our team losing, we are still having fun. Just cheer up, everything is going to be okay” June said.
“Okay? I know you hate this event as much as I do. Ever since you heard that the winner will be going out on a date with the boss, you’ve been quiet and withdrawn ever since”.
“What do you want me to do? Should I go to Damian and ask him not to go on the date? Going to a date with the boss have been the tradition long before I came and I just can’t change that because am his wife” June said sadly.
“You can’t change it but you are sadden by it. I don’t know why you two haven’t come clean about your relationship. If everyone knows that you are his wife, they will back off most especially that slutty Chantel from sales department” Teresa said just as two girl walk in.
“With the scores so far, you will definitely be the one going to the date with the boss, Chantel” Cynthia, Chantel friend said, eyeing Teresa and June.
“Of course. After everything I did, I will definitely be the one going on a date with him” Chantel added.
“Don’t bet on that it. You might just lose it all in a blink of an eye” Teresa said and the two burst into laughter.
“Is that failure talking” Cynthia mock.
“Instead of saying such stupid thing, you should do your best in beating me but since you can’t, you might as well shut up” Chantel said.
“How dare you tell me to….”
“Don’t Teresa! You shouldn’t stoop to their level” June said, holding her friend back.
“That’s right. Listen to your friend and don’t try to stoop to our level cause am way up there while you two are way down there and who knows, this date might make me the next Mrs Brooks ” Chantel said and a while later, she left with Cynthia.
“Are you really going to let this slide? Am certain that if she goes out on a date with Damian, she’s going to do her best to seduce him” Teresa said.
“She can try but I trust my husband. It’s time we leave”.
They got back to their seat just to hear the MC announce Chantel the overall winner for all the sports, making her the special date for Damian.
Damian was called to give a brief speech and from there he will take Chantel out on their date.
“Er, I know am meant to leave with Miss Chantel for the date but I’d like to ask a very special person for permission” Damian said earning everyone attention.
“I’d like to get my wife permission if you don’t mind” Damian said, moving away from Chantel.
Every pair of eye in the room followed Damian as he got to where June was seated….after all no one knew their boss is married.
“Will you like me to go on this date?” He ask June startling every in the room.
Everyone began to whisper among themselves. It’s the main reason why June insisted on them keeping their relationship a secret, she didn’t want to be talked about but she didn’t feel that way today.
Instead, she wanted everyone to know that the boss is hers.
“I don’t want you to go on the date” she said not caring if she broke the long time tradition.
“Your wish is my command” he said to her and gave her a kiss before going back to a waiting Sandra.
“Since I won’t be going on the date, you will be compensated instead. If you all don’t mind, I’d like to spend the rest of the day with my wife” he said calling out to June who quickly went to him and together they left the hall.
“Congrats on your marriage,Boss!” Teresa yell urging everyone to do the same which they did except for Chantel and Cynthia.
Mitchell sat a corner, having witness the love scene between June and Damian.
She put on her glass and left the hall too, making no one notice her.
She hail a taxi and got in, pulling out a picture of Ronald.
“They are happy while you are six feet under. I promise you that everyone who has hurt us will pay, they will pay in blood and tears just as we have, I promise you” she vow silently.
“Where are you headed miss?” The taxi driver ask.
“To the airport, take me to the airport” Mitchell reply……
Episode 35 & 36 : The Ultimate Sacrifice

“A baby?” Damian ask, turning to stare at his wife who was seated in front of the mirror, putting on her make up.
“I want us to have a baby, Damian. Your mom and my mom keeps complaining about wanting a grandson and during lunch hour yesterday, I book an appointment at the hospital and the doctor told me that there’s nothing stopping me from getting pregnant” June said, starring at him through the mirror.
“Tell me something. Do you want us to have a baby because our parent keep asking us to?”
“No. I really want a baby, Damian. I want to have a little girl that looks exactly like you” June said, leaving her seat to give him a hug.
“Fine then. Since my sweetheart wants a baby then let’s make one and to be sincere, I also want a little girl that looks like you” he whispered into her ear and June laugh.
She move back to stare at him and she was at the point of pulling his head down for a kiss when the ringing of his phone ruin everything.
“Don’t answer” June said but he laugh and pull away from her.
“It might be for something important” he said and answer Sandra, his secretary call.
“Okay, thanks for telling me” he said and end the call.
“Is something wrong?” June ask, seeing the serious look on his face.
“You remember me telling you about the Parker group?”
“Yeah. You said you want them to invest in a new project you are working on” June said.
“Well, they just send in a representative. According to Sandra, she arrive last night and refuse to see anyone from Brooks international, Sandra even went to her hotel this morning to talk to her and get an appointment but she told the security not to let Sandra in”.
“Really? Why is she acting that way? Can it be someone we know?” June ask and he shrug.
“Am not sure. All I know is the Parker group is a very big industry and things will work out if I get them to be an investor, I will just have to see this representative myself”.
“Are you ready to leave?” He ask and quickly she went to get her bag and together they left for work.
<< EVENING ~ CLUB HOUSE >>
“Common Davina! It’s been months since Ronald death. You can’t keep mourning him forever” Mirabel, a close friend of Davina said.
“I really loved him” Davina said.
“You did and we all know. And let me tell you that wherever Ronald is, he wouldn’t want you to live your life like this. Mitchell is at the state, enjoying her life. You should do the same too”.
“Why don’t we do this. The next guy who comes in through that door will be your next date ” Mirabel said as both their gaze stay on the entrance waiting for the next guy to walk in.
And the next guy did show up. Davina and Mirabel watch him join his friends while laughing and talking with them.
“That guy is a hunk” Mirabel said.
“No! Hell no. Do you know who he is? That’s Nathan, my sister in-law younger brother” Davina reveal, starring at Nathan who was now dancing with a girl.
“And so?”
“He’s a little kid” Davina said softly.
“Does he look like that to you? Am pretty sure that the thing under him isn’t too little and it’s definitely going to please you if you let it happen” Mirabel said.
“No. I’m not getting involve with him, I don’t even talk to the guy” Davina said.
“Fine then. It’s your loss but you won’t deny that in that clothe, he looks older and sexy” Mirabel said, starring at Nathan and Davina found herself starring at him too.
“He is indeed a hunk” she said softly.
<< WINTER MANSION >>
“So, How did it go? Did you meet the representative?” June ask Damian the moment he came in.
“I didn’t. She claim to be busy but I know that that is just an excuse” He said, shrugging off his suit.
“Why don’t you try to approach Mr Parker yourself ?” June ask as she remove the things from his briefcase.
“I already tried but due to his heavy schedule, it will take me months before I get to speak to him” He said sighing out in frustration.
“If things doesn’t work with Parker, why not try another investment company? You only need a little fund to get the project starting, you could get a loan from the….”
“Look, I appreciate your concern but I will do things myself. You don’t have to meddle with the company affair” he said and got off the bed to shrug off his shirt.
“But it’s the same company I work at and…”
“June, let me take care of what concern me and you take care of yours” he said, looking ruffled.
Ignoring the anger in his voice, June smiled and thought of a way to cheer him up.
“I’m sorry. You just got back from work feeling tired and here I am tiring you out some more. Why don’t you seat and let me cheer you up” she said, pushing him on the bed.
She got on top of him and began kissing his chest.
“How about we start our mission” she said in between kisses.
“What mission?”
“Making a baby” she said, chuckling.
That got Damian ending the intimacy between them.
“Is something wrong?” June ask, starring at him.
“Am not in the mood” he said.
“Awww…common, its the only way to make you forget and cheer you up” she said, wrapping her arms around him but he push her hand off.
“I told you that am not in the mood! Is having a baby the only thing you can think of!” He yell at her.
June sat still, wondering what she did to have warrant his anger and he must have realise that he hurt her because he got on his knees, in front of her and took hold of her hand to kiss it.
“I’m sorry. It’s just the pressure from work and….”
“I understand but tell me something. Why don’t you want to have a child with me?” June ask.
“I do want it but….”
“But you also don’t want it. Just this morning, you agreed to having a child, so why don’t you want a child now? What change your mind?” June ask.
“Everything! Everything did! I no longer want a child, let’s end the conversation here” he said, going into the bathroom.
Leaving her wondering what happen to make him change his mind about having a child.
<< NEXT DAY ~ RESTAURANT >>
“Do you want me to accompany you in, boss?” Sandra ask and Damian shook his head.
After refusing to meet with him yesterday, the lady representing the Parker group made a call to his secretary and confirm that she’s free today by lunch time which is the reason why they are at the restaurant.
“She said she’s putting on a red gown and that it will be easy to identify her since she’s the only one wearing red” Sandra added.
“Thanks Sandra, I will keep that in mind” Damian said as he got out of the car.
He went into the restaurant and stood at the entrance, searching for someone in red.
He saw a lady with her back turn to him, she’s the only one there in red and slowly, he made his way to her.
“He….Mitchell?” Damian call on seeing the lady there.
“Hello, Mr Brooks” she said, standing up to give him her hand for a shake.
“I didn’t know you are the representative” he said as they both take their seat.
“You wouldn’t right? After all, when I left two months ago, you all erase me from your mind” Mitchell said, sounding bitter.
“When I found out that you left, I tried to get in touch with you but nothing. It’s like you didn’t want anyone looking for you” Damian said.
Ronald might have been the evil one but Mitchell isn’t and that’s the reason why he did his best to find her at Davina request but nothing came forth.
“I was too busy working my way up Parker group. When I left here, I went to Paris and then Mexico and finally settled at Singapore”
“Then I got into Parker group and after showing them how good I am, I was made Mr Parker right hand and that’s why he sent me here to check out your proposal since he is very busy ” Mitchell explain.
“It’s good to know that you are doing well. I thought that….”
“That after the death of my brother, I will live a dumb life till I die? Of course not! I have live everyday remembering how he died and who led him to it” Mitchell cut him off again.
“Who led him to it? What do you mean by that?”
“What do you think? Enough about me, let’s get to the reason why we are here. Can I have a look at your proposal” she said and the next few minutes was filled with them working checking out the proposal.
“I will admit. The proposal is good and will bring in a lot of income for the Parker group but….I won’t let it work”.
“Is that a rejection?” Damian ask and she smile.
“Not a rejection, yet. Know that Mr Parker has entrust this project to me and whatever I say will be his decision, so if you want to work with the Parker group, how about doing what I want”.
“What do you want?”
“I want you to get a divorce. If am not happy then you and June can’t be happy” she said, waiting for his reply.
<< WINTER MANSION >>
As soon as a brooding June got back home, she was waylaid by Damian mother.
“I just got bad news” Martha said, looking worried.
“What is it? Did something happen to Damian?” June ask and she shook her head.
“It isn’t about Damian. It’s about Violet, your twin sister. The police just called to inform us that she broke out of jail”
“Violet has escape?”
